Join me as I share personal insights from my 90-day alcohol-free journey, revealing how absolute commitment simplifies decision-making and reshapes habits. From skipping that tempting bowl of M&Ms to adopting a vegan lifestyle, discover how a full-hearted commitment can ease the mental tug-of-war and liberate you from decision fatigue.

And, as a special bonus, I want to give you FREE access to my signature course, Slay Your Year (usually $997)! All you have to do is:

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Let it Be Easy with Susie Moore.
So at the time of recordingthis, which is January 26, here
I am on a Sunday morning doingmy favorite thing recording my
pod episodes for you.
I am reminded of, and thrilledto talk about, one of my

(00:26):
favorite truths.
I learned this at a conferenceyears ago how many years, I
don't know seven, eight, maybeeven more and it's never left me
.
I've created so much mediacontent around this.
I teach this in my programs.
It's powerful because itconnects to reality and the
truth of who we are.

(00:48):
And the reason I'm thinkingabout this right now is because
I'm over three weeks into my 90day challenge, which is going
alcohol free until April.
So it's you know, the researchis very clear on this 30 days, a
great habit is formed.
60 days is powerful.
90 days, you can see realshifts of great habit is formed.
60 days is powerful.
90 days, you can see realshifts.

(01:11):
I've done this before.
I'm loving it.
We're doing it withinself-coaching society and I am
so reminded of this principleduring my challenge, which is
this, which is this 99% is hard,100% is easy.
Sounds counterintuitive, right, but think about that.

(01:31):
Here are a few examples 99% ishard.
100% is easy.
In a Jack Canfield's language,he would say 99% is a bitch,
100% is a breeze.
So think about it this way.
Just say you're trying to giveup sugar and there's a big bowl
of M&Ms in front of you.

(01:51):
Is it easier to have one or twoor is it easier to abstain and
have none?
Look, I love some M&Ms and forme it's definitely easier to
just not touch them than to justgo.
Oh, I'll just have a few.
Same with alcohol.
Right now, it's actually I wantto say so so, so easy, because

(02:12):
my mind is made up.
It's like no, I'm not orderingwine with lunch.
No, there's no alcohol at homeAt night.
I just don't drink it.
I drink tea, and that'swonderful.
I enjoy that.
There's no back and forth, there's no second guessing,
there's no decision fatigue, which is what happens when we
aren't committed to something.
We go back and forth in ourminds Should I, shouldn't, I,
should I do this or that?
It makes us exhausted.
There is zero decision fatiguewith 100%.

(02:39):
Think about it too.
If you even come across maybe avegan or a vegetarian Every day
, they're not waking up going oh, will I have a little steak
today?
Or oh, will I try some eggstoday.
No, they just know who they are.
I see this too, even withpeople, for example, who may be
a regular churchgoers.
Every Sunday, they get up, theyget dressed, they go to church.
They don't um and ah, theydon't go back and forth, they

(03:01):
don't negotiate with themselves,it's just something that they
do.
Same with people who get up at5am or people who just go to the
gym or go for a walk every day.
My friend, laura, goes for awalk every day, even with, oh my
gosh, sub-zero temperatures inNew York City.
She puts on her big warm coat, gloves, hat, all the things and
she walks.

(03:22):
It's her commitment.
Right, where are you 99%ing itin your life?
Because, I'm telling you, you're making your life so much
harder if you're doing that, ifyou're on the fence, if you're
like oh, will I write today, will I create a YouTube video
today, will I come up with somejokes today?

(03:42):
So if you're an author, ifyou're a successful YouTuber, if
you're a comedian, you don'tjust write or create when you
think, when you, when you wantto, when you feel like it.
You do it because you're a pro,you do it because you've got a
book deadline.
You do it because you arecommitted.
Commitment over everything, myfriends.
Commitment over talent,commitment over skill,

(04:05):
commitment over everything.
This gets you places.
Where are you 99%ing it in yourlife right now and where can
you make it so much easier beingin that 100?
I can tell you this.
Another example of this is ifyou're in a breakup, go cold
turkey.
No contact, gosh, I've alwaysdone this.

(04:26):
It's so successful.
There's not texting, there'snot meeting up, there's not oh,
let's talk.
Oh, close your conversations.
Nope, it is done 100% over.
You are making your life hard.
If you're living in that 99%gray area, commitment is ease.

(04:48):
Please DM me, let me know wherethis is true for you and where
you can apply it.
Now I'm at suzymoore, onInstagram.
Until tomorrow, my friends, somuch love and ease.
