What if everything you've been wishing for suddenly materialized today? Would you celebrate—or panic? This provocative question forms the heart of this deeply introspective exploration of desire, readiness, and manifestation.

Desire drives us forward. It fuels innovation, powers dreams, and propels humanity toward progress. But there's a crucial distinction between wanting something and being prepared to receive it when opportunity knocks. Through compelling examples—from aspiring Grammy winners who haven't prepared their voices to someone seeking love while living with an untrained, aggressive dog—we uncover why some dreams remain frustratingly out of reach despite our fervent wishes.

And, as a special bonus, I want to give you FREE access to my signature course, Slay Your Year (usually $997)! All you have to do is:

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Let it Be Easy with Susie Moore.
Are you being real about whatit is you want to be, do and
have, and what that would reallymean to you, what that would
mean to your life?
Because I hear from peopleevery day, all over the world.

(00:22):
People tell me what they want, right, they have these goals,
these dreams, these desires.
I love hearing about desire.
Desire is our life force.
How else would we do anything?
How else would anything becreated?
How else would this world moveforward?
It's because we want things.
Desire is beautiful.

(00:44):
But I want to ask you thisquestion because some people say
, oh, I want a Grammy, right.
Or I want to live in America,or I want to go on this specific
vacation, or I want to fall inlove and I want to get married,
right.
Fill in the desire here.
And then if I ask okay, if thathappened today, would you be
ready?
Okay, if that happened today, would you be ready?

(01:06):
If that happened today, rightnow, would this be a blessing or
would this be a nightmare?
Think about it, right.
Sometimes we say these things orwe have these, these uh, let's
say lofty goals, right, meaningsomething that we think we
should want, or it's the highestpossible outcome, like a Grammy
, for example.
And we love to sing, so we saythese things.

(01:27):
But what if you were invitedright now to perform on stage
with somebody amazing and you soagain.
Actually imagine this now.
Imagine someone says okay,incredible, yeah, you're a
performing artist.
Do you want to perform on stagewith this incredible other
artist tonight?
Do you have music?
Are you in shape to sing?

(01:49):
Like, how's your voice?
Are you using a vocal coach?
Are you ready when the luckhappens?
This is also the name of InaGarten's book Be Ready when the
Luck Happens right.
There's the old saying thatluck is what happens when
preparation meets opportunity.
There's a woman who I coachedonce, who had a very, very
difficult dog.
She wouldn't stop barking thislittle dog.
She was biting, growling, snarling, and this woman wanted

(02:11):
to fall in love and I said toher look, what if you met the
guy?
Now she's like I don't knowwhat to do about the dog,
because the dog doesn't likeanybody.
I'm like well, maybe you needto train your dog so that when
you meet this incredible manwho's going to come into your
life, they can come to yourapartment.

(02:31):
They can maybe even move intoyour apartment one day.
If that's a goal that you have, are you going to be ready for
the things that you want?
Because some of the things thatwe've asked for, or we think we
want to manifest, so to speak,if they showed up today, it
would be a problem.
I assure you of this.
And so what is our job?
Our job is to clear the path.
Our job is to be ready.
So if someone said to me todayhey, susie, there's been a

(02:52):
cancellation, do you want togive a talk or do you want to
come on this morning show totalk about XYZ?
I could now, because it's been10 years of doing this work.
I could do it today.
I could do it in very, veryshort notice.
I don't need much to prepare atthis point, but it hasn't
always been this way.
If I was asked this at the startof my journey, I probably would
have messed up, embarrassedmyself, went red in the face and

(03:15):
not been invited back somewhereand look, that's also okay.
We live and learn.
But ask yourself this If thething that you want, if, for
whatever reason, you received ittoday, it showed up, would your
life be better off?
Are you in this place to acceptit, to welcome it to enjoy it?

(03:35):
Or do you need to get yourducks in a row, so to speak,
first?
Would you be in a panic?
Would you be fixing things?
Would you be thinking, oh mygosh, I wish that I did X, y, z
ahead of time?
My friends, that is our work.
This is our work.
When the luck happens, when theopportunity comes, when the

(03:56):
person comes, when the emailhits your inbox, when the DM
comes in, when that invitationlands on your door, is it a
blessing?
Are you competent to fulfill itnow?
Are the circumstances andsituations in your life
supportive of your dream?

(04:17):
So a couple of more things tosay on this.
Number one if your dream isdelayed, if you feel like
something's being withheld foryou, maybe this is why the
universe is a kind one and itdoesn't give us things we're not
ready for.
And secondly, it's so easy tolive in the dream, to live in
the vision of, oh, when thishappens, but not actually do any
of the groundwork.

(04:38):
When the thing that we wantarrives and I know that it
arrives when we are prepared, when we believe, when we take
those steps forward and move infaith, I know anything is
possible.
When we live in this place, expecting wonderful things to
happen, expecting things to goour way.

(05:00):
When we go through life withthis in our mind, making
decisions, preparing for thefuture that we want, living in
this positive expectation, it'sutterly different.
You have an utterly differentoutcome from someone who says,
oh, one day I want or I wouldlike, but never does anything to
allow that in, but never doesanything to allow that in, to

(05:22):
let it be easy, to let it flowto them.
My friends, as you go aboutyour day today, are you
preparing yourself for thethings that you want, or are you
just waiting and hoping?
Until tomorrow, my friends, somuch love and ease.
