New goals feel bright on the calendar, but the spark fades when the routine gets real. We dig into the timeless truth that ordinary habits—follow-ups, drafts, practice sessions, outreach—quietly compound into extraordinary results. Motivation isn’t a faucet you can leave on; it’s a rhythm you support with humane breaks, simple systems, and a clear view of where you’re headed.

And, as a special bonus, I want to give you FREE access to my signature course, Slay Your Year (usually $997)! All you have to do is:

  • Leave a review of this podcast.
  • Email a screenshot of your review to info@susie-moore.com

Simple as that!

SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
Welcome to Let It Be Easy with Susie Moore.
Okay, my friends, it's January4th.
Are you creating plans?
Are you creating new routines?
Are you still in your new yearroutine?
I've got a passage from Let ItBe Easy to share with you today

(00:21):
that I think could be reallyhelpful no matter where you are
right now.
It's chapter 11 and it's calledOrdinary Routines Create
Extraordinary Results.
It's just so hard to beenthusiastic all the time, a
friend texted me once.
She was frustrated with herbusiness growth and was trying
hard to raise another round offunding, meaning she's in

(00:45):
constant hustle mode.
I had to laugh when I read hermessage as I was just about to
head into yet another podcastinterview to promote my last
book.
My work is my biggest passion, but it doesn't mean that I don't
get tired sometimes too.
I'd been on the circuit forweeks at that point.
I felt like I was on my 400thinterview of the day, and I was

(01:07):
tired of hearing myself talk.
People come to me to people cometo me for motivation, thinking
I'm 100% enthusiastic andinspired all of the time.
But I'm not.
I simply replied to her, have abreak and get back to it
tomorrow.
Because here's what I knowhumans need breaks.

(01:30):
We're worthy of taking themwithout explanation or apology.
And if you want to stayenthusiastically on track, you
must remember that all of themundane, repetitive things that
you do each day are leading yousomewhere.
It's easy to forget these twofacts, especially the second.

(01:51):
When we see just the daily to-dolists ahead of us, it's hard to
it's harder to remember thebigger picture.
It's like we're looking at theasphalt road and the white
lines, not the view ahead.
Pause and ask yourself, why do Istart a business, a family, a
project, a fill-in the blank?
Because deep inside you hold abeautiful vision for it.

(02:12):
The same way I hold a vision formy books, and this requires me
to talk about them a lot.
And how does a vision come to beexactly?
Action by action, day by day, brick by brick.
A vision coming to life isdriven by your daily,
consistent, unglamorous actionsthat make it real.

(02:35):
Because anything you want to dowell, you must do often.
Life is largely routine.
Can you remember where it's allleading?
Remember your vision in themundane present.
I know that's easier said thandone.
But just review your goals for30 seconds if that's all you can

(02:56):
squeeze in each morning.
No matter how tiresome yourday-to-day is, can you see
beyond the routine?
Can you remember that it's allleading somewhere?
Can you remember to look up atthe windshield, not down at the
asphalt?
Even when you're tired, evenwhen it feels like too much,
even when it feels pointless, orwhen you're having a bad week,

(03:19):
month, or year.
Because when you remember thatit's all leading somewhere, your
day-to-day tasks don't feel souninteresting.
Sometimes just getting up in themorning and carrying on is
brave.
And when it feels like yourvision is a long way off,
remember how far you've alreadycome.

(03:40):
I bet you any money that you'refurther along than you give
yourself credit for.
Until tomorrow, my friends.

(04:01):
So much love and ease.
