Joy isn’t a bonus you save for the weekend; it’s the engine that powers creativity, stamina, and clear thinking. We dig into the simple truth that when joy rises, problems shrink, your nervous system steadies, and connection gets easier. Instead of pushing through and waiting for a vacation to feel alive, we map out small, repeatable joy deposits you can put on your calendar right now—tiny choices that compound into a lighter day and a stronger you.

And, as a special bonus, I want to give you FREE access to my signature course, Slay Your Year (usually $997)! All you have to do is:

  • Leave a review of this podcast.
  • Email a screenshot of your review to info@susie-moore.com

Simple as that!

SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
Welcome to Let It Be Easy with Susie Moore.
You know what I've been thinkingabout lately?
I've been thinking about this alot.
I've been repeating it a lot.
And the more I repeat it eitherto myself or to people in my
world, the more it lands and thetruer it feels.

(00:22):
It's this joy brings strength.
Think about that.
Joy brings strength.
When you experience a wave ofjoy or a feeling of gratitude,
or really even any positiveemotion in your body, it is an
energy multiplier.

(00:43):
I can tell you, when I feeljoyful, I'm at my most generous,
I'm at my most creative.
Problems don't seem as big in mymind, they immediately shrink
somehow.
When I'm experiencing joy, everything feels like it's going
to be okay.
My daily anxieties and worriesfeel like they're no big deal.
It doesn't just lift your mood,it upgrades your stamina.

(01:08):
Think about it.
If you're experiencing no joy,no joy deposits throughout your
day, if you're just kind oftrudging through, going through
the motions, trying to make itto the weekend, trying to make
it to 5 p.m., aren't you tired?
Isn't that exhausting?
How does it feel to go throughthat kind of day, that kind of
week?
There's also research that ajoyful nervous system, how we

(01:32):
feel in our bodies, recoversfaster from illness, allows us
to create faster as people, human beings with incredible
brains.
It even allows us to connectwith our fellow human beings
better.
This is why to me negativity islazy, in the words of RuPaul.
And joy brings energy.

(01:54):
Joy brings strength.
Joy brings creativity.
Joy allows us to be incredibleproblem solvers.
It makes us fun to be around.
It puts us in the vibration ofreceiving, meaning receiving
things that we want.
So this is what I think, myfriends.
I'm not being a very responsibleperson if I'm not making joy a

(02:16):
priority in my day.
I'm being lazy.
I'm choosing the hard way.
And may I remind you, this isthe Let It Be Easy podcast.
What brings you joy?
And I don't mean taking atwo-week vacation or uh, you
know, uh taking the day off workto go light the beach.
I mean, hey, if you're if you'reable to do that and it brings
joy, do all the things, throweverything at your success.

(02:38):
But what is it?
Do you want to reconnect with afriend?
Do you want to take yourself outto lunch?
Do you want to read a smuttyfiction book?
Gosh, I think we we all lovethose on some level.
Do you want to?
Oh my gosh, so many people saythey just want more time alone.
Could you book a babysitter?
Could you just plan an afternoonwhere there are no plans apart

(02:59):
from you and your thoughts?
Maybe a walk, maybe a massage, maybe a nail treatment, whatever
it is.
Do you want to go horsebackriding?
Do you want to book a day ofgolf?
Do you want to finally take thatsalsa class?
Joy brings strength.
Strength brings energy.
Energy aligned makes anythingpossible.

(03:20):
What are your joy deposits?
You can't just withdraw.
We can't just be makingwithdrawals from our energy bank
account all day.
And most of us are very, verygood at doing that.
Being the helper, being theperson who steps up, being the
responsible one.
Withdrawal, withdrawal, withdrawal in a lot of cases.
We need to make some deposits.
And they're going to bedifferent for everybody, but you

(03:42):
know what yours are.
What can you implement today, this week, this month, as we
approach a new year to be themost responsible human being
that you can be.
Until tomorrow, my friends.
So much.
Laverne's.
