Have you ever stopped to notice that you're almost always waiting for something? A promotion, a wedding day, a new home, a baby, business success—the moment we achieve one goal, a new desire immediately takes its place. This perpetual waiting isn't a bug in our human experience; it's a feature.

Drawing inspiration from DawnCheré Wilkerson's book "Slow Burn," I explore the universal experience of waiting and pose a life-changing question: If existence is essentially a waiting room, what condition is your waiting room in? Is it miserable and uncomfortable, making you desperate to escape? Or have you created a pleasant, even beautiful space to spend your time? Because here's the truth—those who master the art of waiting well experience a completely different quality of life than those who suffer through it.

And, as a special FREE bonus, I want to give you my "6 Journal Prompts To Coach Yourself To A Better Life In 6 Days!"

These prompts are perfect if you:

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Let it Be Easy with Susie Moore.
So I've been reading the lovelybook Slow Burn by my friend
Dawn Cherie, who is a pastoractually here in Miami at Vood
Church.
Her book is called Slow Burn, the Work and Wonder of the

(00:24):
Weight, and in the book DawnTree speaks a lot about her
fertility challenges, life'schallenges and how in fact we
are all all of us, I would saygosh.
I don't want to say 100% of thetime, but 100% of the time
waiting for something.
We are right.

(00:44):
I mean, whenever we achievesomething we're ready for the
next goal, because every time adesire is achieved, a new one is
born.
Say, you just get a job, forexample, your next desire is
probably to achieve a lot inthat job and to really rock it
at work.
And maybe, if you just gotengaged, you're then waiting for
your wedding, and then, onceyou have your wedding, you're

(01:04):
maybe waiting to buy your house, and then maybe you've got one
baby, and then you're kind ofwaiting and planning for the
next.
I mean, it never ends, does it?
And from a business perspective, you might even have like a
great launch or a great year ora great quarter, and then you're
waiting and planning for thenext quarter, the next launch.
Waiting mode is real for all ofus.

(01:29):
So what I want to put to youtoday is this question If life
is a waiting room, because newideas are constantly and new
desires are constantly bornwithin us how is your waiting
room?
Is it miserable, is itinsufferable?
Are you just dying to get outof there, or is it really
pleasant Because you know it isa place that you are going to be

(01:52):
staying forever more, forwhatever reason?
Whatever it is that you wantnext, you're going to be in this
waiting room, in this waitingroom.
So is it nice and tidy?
Have you lit a candle?
Have you upgraded the chairs?
Do you have a good playlistwhile you wait?

(02:14):
I find that those of us who knowhow to wait well, with a good
attitude, who dance during thewait, we have a completely
different life experience.
While you're waiting, can youorganize your bank accounts, can
you update your resume, can youlearn a skill, can you learn

(02:35):
something new via a course, abook, I don't know some type of
tool that strengthens your craft.
Somehow, if life's a wait andwe know that it is look at your
history a lot of things that youhad now.
You were once waiting for andmany things in your future that
you will manifest.
Right now you're in thatwaiting room.
How can you enjoy it more?

(02:56):
How can you set yourself up toenjoy the day to day, no matter
what, even though that goal ofyours is always going to be on
the horizon?
How we wait matters, and there'sa great quote from George
Bernard Shaw.
He says two things define youyour patience when you have
nothing and your attitude whenyou have everything.

(03:18):
What about your attitude whileyou are waiting Until tomorrow?
My friends, so much love andease.
