Have you ever caught yourself longing for someone else's seemingly perfect life? That mountain home, thriving career, or picture-perfect family? We've all been there, but there's a crucial truth we often miss: the life you're jealous of would absolutely exhaust you.

When we envy others, we're seeing only the highlight reel without the behind-the-scenes struggles. That successful entrepreneur isn't showing you their 4am anxiety attacks or weekend sacrifices. The fitness influencer isn't posting about their restrictive diet or grueling schedule. The perfect family doesn't document their arguments or sleepless nights. We covet the results without wanting the responsibility, dedication, or challenges that created them.

And, as a special FREE bonus, I want to give you my "6 Journal Prompts To Coach Yourself To A Better Life In 6 Days!"

These prompts are perfect if you:

🎯 Feel lost in direction.

πŸ“‰ Battle feelings of inadequacy or constant comparison.

πŸ˜• Experience restlessness.

πŸ“† Find goal-setting or motivation challenging.

😐 Simply feel 'meh'.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to.
Let it Be Easy with Susie Moore.
The life you're jealous ofwould exhaust you.
I said this to a friend of minerecently when she was basically

(00:20):
saying all these things thatshe likes about other people's
lives.
One woman had four kids.
One woman had this home in themountains.
She was basically saying allthese things that she likes
about other people's lives.
One woman had four kids.
One woman had this home in themountains.
One other woman had this prettysuccessful side hustling that
was to do with interior design.
I didn't quite understand it.
It was interior design and AIand my friend just kept listing
all these things that shethought was really cool, that

(00:41):
other people were doing andhaving and experiencing, and I
was like you know what that life, or a combination, a blend of
those lives, it would exhaustyou.
I mean, let's break this downand think about it for a second.
Envy is great data in this way,but those things that we
secretly covet what she has, what she's doing, what he's up

(01:04):
to over there it would crush us.
We don't want theresponsibility, the energy, the
dedication, the commitment, thelate nights, the I mean there's
so much I could list here.
We don't want what accompaniesso much of those perceived
dreams that we see out there.

(01:25):
So what is it that we reallywant?
I can guarantee you this youwant the feeling that you think
that person has right, and wewant to untangle fantasy from
just pure facts here.
Maybe if you see someone beingwildly successful, you think wow

(01:45):
, they must feel so accomplishedand alive and free and creative
.
If you see someone with agorgeous family life, you think
gosh, that person's probablynever lonely.
They feel so held and takencare of and seen and comforted.
But remember this whetheryou're paying attention to
social media or even just thereal lives of other people, you

(02:07):
are not seeing the price tagthat comes with every single
decision that we make, right?
So someone might have aluxurious life, but they've got
a lot of strain around how toprotect their money and their
image image.
Or maybe if someone's got avery successful career, you

(02:27):
don't see their anxiety, wakingthem up at 4am or those late
night phone calls, or working atweekends or managing, for
example, a team of a hundred.
Right, maybe you think someonelooks incredible, but do you
want to do that 5am boot camp?
Do you want to eat pea proteinfor dinner?
Or whatever that person eats.
We see the upside withoutcontemplating in any realistic

(02:50):
way the cost of it.
Envy itself or paying attentionto other things that we love,
that people possess, isn't bad.
I find it's great data.
It's like a breadcrumb.
It's like ooh, what does thisreveal to me?
Maybe it's showing you whatit's like a breadcrumb.
It's like oh, what does thisreveal to me?
Maybe it's showing you what'sneglected in a part of your life

(03:13):
.
But it is not a map.
It's not bullet points tofollow.
You don't need somebody else'slife, or even a piece of their
life, in order to feel fulfilled.
What you want is a feeling, andwhat you want to feel isn't I'm
being real here it's not aboutthe stuff or the status, or the

(03:36):
perceived power or joy.
It's about you wanting to feelalive.
It's about you wanting to feelconnected.
It's about you wanting to feelfully and freely you, and you
can do this now, wherever youare, with what you have.
That feeling is availablewithout becoming someone else or

(04:01):
having what anybody else hassomeone else or having what
anybody else has.
My question to you today wouldbe what makes you feel alive?
What does bring you thatlasting joy?
What makes you feel like you?
What connects you most deeplyto the essence of who you are.
Is it spending more time withyour friends?

(04:22):
Is it doing or pursuingsomething artistic?
Is it spending time in nature?
What is it that you can tapinto right now, without
observing another person, forany form of guidance whatsoever?
You know what it is that yoursoul wants.

(04:45):
Until tomorrow, my friends, somuch love and peace.
Hey friend, are you feelingstuck in any area of your life?
