A last-minute invite turned into a month in Australia, and the lessons keep echoing: life expands when we treat uncertainty as neutral and say yes to aligned surprises. We talk through the mindset that lets spontaneity coexist with structure, and why the unplanned moments often become the best chapters in our story.

And, as a special bonus, I want to give you FREE access to my signature course, Slay Your Year (usually $997)! All you have to do is:

  • Leave a review of this podcast.
  • Email a screenshot of your review to info@susie-moore.com

Simple as that!

SPEAKER_00 (00:00):
Welcome to Let It Be Easy with Susie Moore.
Today's episode is a littlelate, my friends.
Thanks for bearing with me myfive-minute daily podcast in
March 2026.

(00:21):
It will be four years of this.
I have not missed a day.
So better late than never.
Am I right?
The reason today's episode islate is because I very recently
just got back from a month inAustralia.
I've shared about this on thepodcast before.
It came together very lastminute.

(00:41):
We got the invitation to attenda cruise and had to leave the
country in less than 24 hours tomake it happen.
And having come back this week,I am reflecting, slowly kind of
settling in.
And I'm thinking aboutsomething.

(01:01):
This is actually going to be thetopic of our call next week in
Self-Coaching Society, if you'rea member.

(01:26):
So a month away that wasunexpected, right?
This is what just happened forus.
We're now back home.
What a whirlwind, what a joy, what an adventure.
This is what I want my life tobe.
Not a series of predictableoutcomes, not just a routine
existence.
Nothing wrong with routine.
We all need them.

(01:46):
But I have to tell you this.
If you're willing to say yes, ifyou treat something that is
uncertain as neutral instead ofas a warning sign, if you are
willing to embrace life, to letit unfold, to dance with
uncertainty versus fear it andthink that it is something uh

(02:08):
bad or negative or frightening, you will experience so much
freedom.
You will experience so much morelife.
I've been thinking aboutquestions I want to ask my
community next week, and Iwanted to pose them to you today
here.

(02:28):
Number one being this what's thebest thing that's ever happened
to you that you did not plan?
I mean, there are so many thingsthat come to mind when I think
about this.
My then boyfriend, now husbandbeing transferred to New York
from Sydney with just two weeks'notice.
Of course, this uh thisincredible whirlwind trip that

(02:49):
I've just come home from.
I had less than 24 hours noticeand then went to the other side
of the world for a month.
My friends, what is the bestthing that's ever happened to
you that you did not plan?
Maybe it was a new familyarrival, maybe it was uh someone
wishing to buy your house, maybeit was a promotion, maybe it was
a new friend that you met on atrain, uh in a bar, in a

(03:14):
bathroom.
Gosh, I've made friends inwomen's bathrooms over the
years.
Don't we bond in there?
Why do we need to cling to lifeso tightly when so much of the
magic is what comes our way?
When so much of the magic iswhat arrives at our door, what
arrives in our inbox, whatarrives in our DMs, what happens

(03:36):
uh when you bump into astranger.
Why do we need to cling sotightly to what is or to what we
think should be when the unknownhas perhaps even greater plans
for us that we couldn't evenfathom, that we couldn't even
think of.

(03:57):
Being away for a month, Iremember or realize a couple of
truths.
The world is a big and beautifulplace, and it's also wonderful
to come home.
When I arrived in LA after mySydney flight, a 14-hour flight,
and I go down the escalator togo through customs, it says,
Welcome to the United States ofAmerica.

(04:20):
And it makes me emotional.
I'm so happy to live here.
I'm so happy to be coming hometo my lovely, simple life here
in Miami.
May I say the weather isgorgeous from Sydney warm
weather to Miami warm weather?
My gosh.
Having lived in New York for 16years, this idea that we had to

(04:40):
come here now six and a halfyears in, what are we?
How are we engineering smalllives by not saying yes to more,
by not being more and more open?
How can you define yourrelationship with uncertainly
differently as we close out2025?

(05:01):
Until tomorrow, my friends.
So much love and ease.
