Are you rushing to charge your phone before it dies but letting your dreams fade away without a second thought? In this thought-provoking episode, I challenge you to pause and ask yourself the deceptively simple yet profound question: "What do you really want?"

Most of us have become experts at planning the minutiae of our lives—meticulously checking pantry shelves for salad ingredients or creating detailed shopping lists—while leaving our deepest desires to chance. This disconnect reveals something significant about human nature: we're comfortable handling tangible, immediate concerns but hesitant to engage with the bigger questions that might truly transform our existence. The truth is, clarifying your life's direction doesn't require elaborate retreats or perfect conditions—just a few quiet moments with a notepad and an honest heart.

And, as a special bonus, I want to give you FREE access to my signature course, Slay Your Year (usually $997)! All you have to do is:

  • Leave a review of this podcast.
  • Email a screenshot of your review to info@susie-moore.com

Simple as that!

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to Let it Be Easy with Susie Moore.
My friends, when it comes toyour life, what do you really
want?
Have you ever really juststopped even for 10 minutes to
take a breath?
Sit down and ask yourself thisquestion.

(00:24):
I mean, think about it.
It.
What do you want?
Right, most people will createa shopping list right before
they go to whole foods, or theywill panic to find a charger
before their phone dies, butthey'll let their dreams die.
They won't rush to uh to bringthat dream life.
They will go through the stressof, like checking their

(00:47):
cupboards to see if they've gotcranberries and walnuts for a
salad, but they won't create alist of what really matters to
them, like what matters to you.
Here's what I know when it comesto planning, when it comes to
taking our dreams and ourdesires seriously.
Number one most people aren'teven clear is what I know when
it comes to planning, when itcomes to taking our dreams and
our desires seriously.
Number one most people aren'teven clear.

(01:09):
Imagine if you had a GPS.
Right, you can't type in notsure or just head north.
We don't need everything mappedout, we don't need everything
perfectly in a vision, but weknow the general direction,
don't we?
We know, oh, that's interestingto me.
Or I'm curious about livingthere.
I'm, you know.
It's fascinating to me to learnmore about X, y or Z, those

(01:36):
feelings that you have, thosedesires, those nudges.
They are not random, they areperfect.
They're saying come this way.
But we put so much energy andfocus and attention on small
things.
Right, they're perfectlyplanned, perfectly well executed
, really well organized, but thebig stuff we leave up to chance
.
The big stuff we just weoverlook when it comes to

(01:59):
creating a plan for your life.
You don't need to spend threeyears doing this.
You don't need to go to amonastery.
You don't need a whole weekendwithout the kids, with chanting
music to help you.
You need a few moments and anotepad.
What do I want?
What does a successful lifelook like for me?
What does it feel like for me?

(02:21):
Whenever I've done this exercisewith everybody we've done this
plenty of times in self-coachingsociety we know that when it
comes to living big and makingour biggest contribution, there
is always going to be an elementof service attached.
Right, joy isn't sipping roseat the beach.
It is for a day or two, or itis on vacation, but you'll get
bored of that really quickly, let me tell you.

(02:43):
I assure you, joy isn't justshopping and going out for lunch
.
These things are wonderful andfun, but we care about
contribution.
That's what our lives are about.
There's an old saying from Ithink it's I can't remember,
actually doesn't matter who butthere's an old saying that says
this I slept and dreamt thatlife was joy.

(03:05):
I awoke and saw that life wasservice.
I acted and behold, service wasjoy.
Right, we feel at our best whenwe're serving, when we're
helping others, when we'remaking an impact.
And it's really easy to gothrough life checking the boxes,
going to work, saving in your401k, without really pausing to

(03:26):
think what is my plan, what do Icare about?
Is it just about gettingthrough life unscathed?
Is it just about gettingthrough the week?
Is it just about ticking theboxes, or do I have this deep,
yearning desire for more?
I can tell you this Smallactions create small results.
Big actions create big results, and at the core of this is our

(03:49):
desire.
What do you want?
What could be a step in theright direction?
What could be a bold move inthat direction?
I'm convinced, and it makes mesad, that we are focusing on so
many of the wrong things, ourattention, what we talk about,
what we care about, what we poston social media.

(04:10):
It's fine, I mean, there'snothing wrong with it, but it's
missing the bigger plan.
It's missing the biggerquestions.
What is getting your energytoday?
Are you tapped into yourdesires?
Are you allowing yourself tothink bigger and are you
allowing yourself to tap intothe service that you can provide

(04:32):
in this world that nobody elsecould copy?
No one else can be you, thatnobody else could copy, no one
else can be you?
I can assure you that thisexercise pausing, thinking what
do I really want A big elementof this is you fulfilling
perfectly what you're here tofulfill what I would call your
perfect self-expression.

(04:53):
What is it and how can you makethe first step of that list
worth having that plan, worthhaving that charge that's most
worth having Until tomorrow.
My friends, so much love andease got something really cool
