Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome to.
Let it Be Easy with Susie Moore.
Your dream life will feelunfamiliar in the beginning.
Let's get this straight, okay, because often expansion and

(00:21):
change and evolution feels likeimposter syndrome in disguise,
right?
We think, oh my gosh, we'refaking it, we're faking it,
we're faking it, I don't belonghere.
But everything, everything, noexceptions, feels unfamiliar

(00:43):
until it becomes familiar, am Iright?
Think about it If you want tobe a marathon runner, it's going
to feel unfamiliar and a bitscary and like you don't belong.
When you start training, ifthis is not part of your history
already, if this is not part ofyour life already.

(01:04):
But you put your sneakers on,you run with a group, you maybe
meet more runners, you sign upfor the.
Is it a race?
Do you call it a race?
I don't even know, I've neverdone a marathon and then you get
write your number, you havethat thing on your chest and
then you start running and, whether you complete it or not,
you are a huge step closer tobeing a marathon runner.

(01:25):
Of course, it's going to feelunfamiliar in the beginning.
Why wouldn't it?
Think about every first day atwork that you've ever had.
I think about my first day atwork in a bakery when I was a
teenager.
My first job in a departmentstore selling perfume.
Also when I was a teenager, myfirst proper job at a desk.

(01:46):
I had to learn where everythingwas, learn what the language
was, how to use the till in theretail jobs, how to use the
software in my corporate jobs.
Of course it all has to feelunfamiliar at first, but, my
friends, we have to take themotions anyway.
The motions aren't we'retricking people.

(02:08):
The motions aren't oh, I'm animposter.
The motions are us gettingstarted going toward the
direction we want to step into.
So think about this If youdon't know how to drive, if
you're learning how to drive, you've got to get in the car
right.
You've got to put the keys inthe ignition, you've got to put
your hands on the steering wheeland go.

(02:30):
You might not know how to driveyet, but you have to get in the
car and take the action to eventake off anywhere.
Think about if you want to goto sleep but you're not asleep
the second, that you maybe turnoff the light and close your
eyes, but you take the action inorder to fall asleep.
Or if you are new in, maybe newin the kitchen a bit more like

(02:54):
me, testing different things.
You've got to get a choppingboard and a knife and those
vegetables or whatever it isyou're slicing up and start
doing it, even if you're not afancy chef doing it really fast,
even if your chopping board isfrom Ikea and it's seven years
old and your knife is blunt.
You have to start taking theaction.
Please don't get theseunfamiliar.

(03:16):
Don't think there's somethingthat is unfamiliar and feels new
and clunky and awkward.
Don't mistake that for being animposter or a fraud.
Just go.
Yeah, I'm new at this.
I can enjoy this newness, thisbeginner phase.
I'm only ever going to have itonce right.
One marathon, one dish rightOne time.

(03:39):
First time learning to drive, first time having a driving
lesson.
It only gets easier from there.
So you only do something forthe first time once.
So don't let the feelings ofdiscomfort or unfamiliarity put
you off your dream.
Life is going to be full ofthese moments, moments Until

(04:25):
tomorrow.
My friends, so much love andease.
Six journal prompts that I'mgiving to you for free.
That'll help you coach yourselfto a better life in just six
days.
