In the year of our Lord, 2025, believe it or not...there are still podcasters publishing episodes with little to no post-production. No editing, no removing filler words or gaffs or flubs, no attention to the overall listener experience.
Why is this? Many will say they want to publish "as is" because it captures the full authenticity of the conversation. While that sounds good in theory, the reality is...it's just lazy.
Creating the best listener (and viewing, for those consuming video) experience for your audience is what it's all about. Long-term growth and audience retention starts by providing content worthy of a consumer's time.
If you deliver on what made them press play in the first place, the likelihood of them coming back for more and telling others about your content escalates.
However, if you deliver a subpar experience because you couldn't take the time to edit your show...that's a recipe for disaster.
In this installment from The Season 3 Livestream Series on Let's Blow This Up, I'm joined by Steve Stewart, Owner & CEO at Steve Stewart Podcast Productions, for an in-depth, no-holds-barred conversation about the importance of editing your podcast and why it can't be overlooked as this medium continues to embed itself in our everyday lives.

Intentionally Disturbing
Join me on this podcast as I navigate the murky waters of human behavior, current events, and personal anecdotes through in-depth interviews with incredible people—all served with a generous helping of sarcasm and satire. After years as a forensic and clinical psychologist, I offer a unique interview style and a low tolerance for bullshit, quickly steering conversations toward depth and darkness. I honor the seriousness while also appreciating wit. I’m your guide through the twisted labyrinth of the human psyche, armed with dark humor and biting wit.
