Bio: Dr. Folusho Otuyelu is an Associated Professor of Clinical Social Work at Touro University’s Graduate School of Social Work. She is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 27 years of experience working in prominent not-for-profit agencies in New York City. She has spent a significant number of years working with children, adolescents and their families in the mental health and child welfare areas of practice. In addition, she is well versed in evidenced based

practice models such as Functional Family Therapy, Multi Systemic Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Trauma Informed-CBT.

Dr. Folusho Otuyelu has been teaching MSW students for over 15 years. When she is not teaching or engaged in clinical social work practice, she provides trainings and consultation around social work licensing, clinical supervision and diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism practices. Dr. Otuyelu private practice, Soar with Folusho focuses on mental health wellness and healing for BIPOC and other marginalized communities. Dr. Folusho Otuyelu holds a PhD in Social Work from Fordham University, Master of Science degree in Social Work from Columbia University School of Social Work, and Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from Pennsylvania State University.
