Hello~ I'm so thrilled to be finally introducing music therapy to my platform! There are so many that I want to share with you all based on music therapy but for now, Laura Sekarputri and I are diving into the basics and sharing with you all what music therapy program is like in Asia.
Laura is a multi-instrumentalist, music producer, and music therapist from Indonesia. She graduated summa cum laude from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelor of Music degree in Music Therapy and minor in Psychology. One of her proudest moments includes a Gamelan performance with the Grammy-winning artist Evan Ziporyn in MIT’s Kresge Auditorium. In 2018, she received the Professional Scholarship Award from the New England Region of the American Music Therapy Association. She is also the recipient of the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award from Berklee College of Music (class of 2018), and the President’s Innovation Award Scholarship from the American National Association of Music Merchants (NAMM) in 2015.
