Hello and welcome to Let's Hiply This, I am you host Claudia Williams. Today I speak with my friend Cecilia Mc Quinn who is a language teacher, linguist, librarian in Mexico and travel company owner. We discuss how using a new language can help us shift out of patterns, how learning a new language takes time and practice and touch on working through tarry feelings.
What if it doesn't have to be so hard? What if it's fun and easy? Join me in making a difference, one hiply moment at a time. Because when we heal ourselves we heal the world.
Cecilia points out how different words and definitions inform our culture, emotions and how we feel about each other. For example, Spanish has an expression for the feeling of "being good together".
Cecilia's listener tip for when you're feeling tarry is to just go out and look around and notice and see all the love in the world.
