For years, my sister and I wanted to learn the details of how my parents met. And when I eventually did, it became one of the few times in my life when I can point to a specific moment and say this, this was the moment when it all hit me. How little I knew about my parents and that they had lives before I was born. I, of course, knew this, but never truly thought about it with any nuance. And this is where I wanted to go with my parents, the nuance. To learn about all of the little mechanics and innocent moments that had to occur for them to meet. To the awkward, complicated world of dating and how they became life partners. So, how did the stars align and why had it always been a secret?
