SPEAKER_02 (00:02):
Hello and welcome to Let's Talk About It podcast.
I am your host, Apostle Rosemaryof RCN Ministries, along with my
wonderful husband, ApostleHerbie.
Today we are starting withepisode two of season five,
which we are dealing with inthis season of the unshaken

(00:26):
season for season five.
So there will be differenttopics from RCN Ministries as
well as OSGA Apostolic Network.
Thank you all this morning forjoining us as today's topic is
faith over feelings.
That is correct.
The topic again is faith overfeelings.

(00:48):
So on today's We're going todive right into this.
The very theme of Faith OverFeelings is walking by faith
when emotions are loud.
So we begin to just say ontoday, we thank you for joining
us.
And again, welcome back.
We had episode one, which wasplanted, not plucked or

(01:12):
panicked, excuse me, planted, not panicked, the message.
And then we wanted to justreflect back on all that we
spoke on last month.
What do we do at this point whenour feelings don't line up with
our faith?
So many times, men and women ofGod, we wrestle with what we

(01:37):
know God has told us, what Godhas shown us.
But sometimes we feel as thoughit just does not add up with our
faith.
So these are the times that wehave to understand that we must
always put faith over ourfeelings.
We cannot measure the goodnessof the Lord and all that he's

(01:58):
doing in our lives if we'reconstantly wrestling with what
our fleshly body says, how wefeel, how our emotions are
running high, because there isso much going on globally that
that we have to stay focused andnot become distracted in this
hour, in this season.
There are many things that cometo rob us of our joy, of our

(02:24):
peace, to try to hinder, to tryto block, to try to delay us.
But we've got to learn to stepout in faith.
You know, in the word of God, ittells us that...
when we look at the, just theword faith, what is faith?
Faith is the substance of thingshoped for and the evidence of

(02:47):
things unseen or not seen.
And when we begin to look atthis and we begin to think about
what this scripture is saying,we began to realize that even
though I don't see it yet, eventhough it hasn't come into
manifestation yet, even thoughit has not, um, become tangible

(03:08):
yet.
Though I know in my faith, believing that I shall receive
it or I've already received it,it just hasn't materialized yet.
The enemy will begin to try torob us of our faith so that he
can cause us to doubt God.
But these are the very times inour lives when we're going

(03:30):
through some of the mosttraumatic moments in our lives
that we have to pursue God witheverything we have every ounce
of our beings.
We cannot relent.
We cannot bow down.
We cannot give over.
We cannot go under.
And we cannot waver in ourfaith, men and women of God.

(03:52):
So when feelings are real, butnot final, we must learn how to
acknowledge that emotions aren'tbad.
They are actually indicators.
They're not leaders.
So then some of these verycommon examples comes from fear,

(04:13):
doubt, frustration, and burnout.
So then we begin to understandthat we must talk about how
unchecked emotions can derailour purpose.
Let's stop right there.
When we begin to understand thatthe enemy sends distractions,
many times the distractions maybe a spouse.

(04:36):
It may be some emotions thatwe're dealing with.
It can be family.
It can be within the household.
It can be in a job.
It can be in a church or aministry with other believing
Christians.
We never know where the enemy isgoing to strike.
We never know what the enemy isgoing to try to toss at us.

(04:58):
But I tell people all the time,Apostle Herbie and I, we do,
that we need to realize onething.
And that is that the enemy hasno new tricks.
He's going to always constantlyrepeat different things that
have been traumatic in yourlives, different things that
you've gone through in yourlives.
But these are the times that wemust dig in our heels.

(05:21):
We must have feet that are fixedto the ground.
We must be rooted in the word ofGod.
We must be grounded and rootedin the things of God.
We cannot be shaken.
in this season moving forward.
No matter what it looks like, nomatter what it feels like, no
matter what we're going through,no matter that our emotions are

(05:42):
running high, no matter that myfaith has to be in a place that
I'm unmovable, I'm unshakable,I'm unbreakable, and I am
standing on the word of God.
Because when everything elsepasses away, the word of the
Lord tells us that the word ofGod shall stand forever and
ever, my God.

(06:03):
So we need to understand thatthese very unchecked emotions
can come to derail our purpose.
If you've ever noticed, ApostleHerbie, there's times I'm pretty
sure that we can relate, we cantalk about this, honey, where
there's people that have so muchpotential.

(06:23):
They have so many gifts, so manytalents.
They have so many abilities.
They're anointed, they'reappointed, all of these things,
but it can be something assimple as call to leadership,
but you can't get to church ontime.
You can't get to a meeting ontime, but we can be on time for
everything else.

(06:44):
When it comes down to makingmoney, we can be on time for
that.
But when it comes to the thingsof the kingdom, we put that on
the back burner.
But everything that we do mustbe done in a spirit of
excellence.
There is no ifs, ands, buts, orWhy me?
And you know what?
Another thing is when you arecalled to ministry, when you are
called to leadership, when youare a leader, then it's going to

(07:07):
show in your characteristics, your attributes, and your
spiritual maturity.
Let me say that again, yourspiritual maturity, not your
immaturity, because see, immature folk get upset.
Immature folk get offended.
Immature folk, when I say folk,I mean people.
Let me just say people becausethis is a global podcast.
So then when we began tounderstand that when people get

(07:31):
offended, it's because theydon't want to accept
accountability.
They don't want to be reproved.
They don't want to be corrected.
They don't want anyone to holdthem accountable as men and
women of God.
You know, This is not a daycare.
The kingdom of God does notbabysit.
We do not pacify demons.
We do not pass bottles.

(07:53):
We do not pass binkies.
We should be mature enough thatwhen I'm going through something
in my life, I've got to learn torun to God.
I've got to run to the tower ofsafety.
I've got to learn to run to hisarms.
I've got to learn how to pray.
There's nothing wrong withhaving leaders that pray, having
leaders that believe, havingleaders that stand with you.

(08:14):
But at some some point in yourlife, we have to learn, men and
women of God, how to stand inthe holy place and how to go to
God for ourselves.
We have to know how to get aprayer through.
We have to know how to put thephone down.
We have to know how to get offsocial media.
Sometimes social media canbecome a distraction.
And we tell people all the timethat social media is not your

(08:37):
friend.
Social media is not yourtherapist.
Social media owes you nothing.
The thing to do is when we feelthat we're overwhelmed, when we
have emotions, when we'rewalking by faith, then these are
the times that we turn inwardlyand we look to the Lord.
Apostle, you want to addsomething, honey?

(08:59):
Okay.
So these are the things thatwe're talking about here.
And so we need to learn.
We need to learn that, you knowwhat, like Job said, though you
slay me, yet will I trust you.
And you know what?
When Job said that, Job issaying that God, even though I'm
going through, I'm still goingto trust you.

(09:21):
Even though I'm losingeverything I have, I'm still
trusting you.
Even though I'm to a place whereI've lost everything.
I've lost all my children.
I've lost my provision, mylivelihood, my livestock, all of
these, everything is caving inon me.
And even my wife is actingcrazy.

(09:43):
Even my friends have turnedagainst me.
But then Joel began to say, Iwill hope in him.
I will remain steadfast in him.
I will still Be able to trustGod no matter what.
Why?
Because though he slay me, yetwill I trust in him, but I will

(10:03):
maintain my own ways before him.
In other words, I'm still goingto trust God.
I know it doesn't look good.
I know it doesn't feel good.
I know that many of you may bestruggling and battling.
I know that the social economicclimate and the political
climate does not look well atall.

(10:23):
I know there's a lot of chaos.
There's a lot of wickedness.
There's a lot of demonicactivity, especially here all
over America.
But then it's happening in theworld.
But you know what?
God is doing a new thing.
God is stripping butt naked inthese places and even in America
where we live.
God is stripping the veil off,he's removing, he's exposing and

(10:46):
people are learning that thethings that have been lied about
throughout the generations, thethings that have been talked
about, the indoctrination that'shappened around the world is not
what it was because I'mstripping it now.
I'm pulling down the veil.
I'm removing the mask and I'mshowing people who is who and

(11:06):
who these people really are.
The evil went.
the evil people, the divisivepeople, those that have been
operating through the arm of theflesh.
So think it not strange what wesee manifest.
But one thing I can tell you, itdoes not matter what happens all
over the world, men of God, menand women of God.

(11:27):
It does not matter what happensin America.
Why?
Because we are the remnant.
And if anything else I know isthis one thing, the remnant
shall prevail.

UNKNOWN (11:37):
Amen.

SPEAKER_02 (11:38):
The remnant shall remain victorious.
The remnant shall remainunmoved.
And the remnant shall go forth.
God is tearing down everyillegal altar of idolatry, of
wickedness.
God is stripping it naked.
You hear what I say?
And God shall get the glory outof all of this.

(12:01):
See, when you have to listen, when you're dealing with a house
and the house, is no longer fitor livable.
We have to tear that house downand demolish it.
The wrecking ball comes in.
And then all of a sudden, youget all the way down to that
foundation.

(12:22):
And you get, know what?
You have to even take thejackhammers or whatever and
break up that foundation.
Remove the foundation becausethe foundation is not built on
the word of God.
It's not built on, according toEphesians 2 and 20, on the
apostles and the prophet withJesus, the chief cornerstone
that's first put in place beforeyou even pour the foundation of

(12:44):
the apostle and the prophet.
So when we begin to look atthis, the Lord says, I'm tearing
it all down now to the veryfoundation.
I'm demolishing ideology andman-made religion.
I'm taking everything down tothe very blueprint and we are

(13:05):
rebuilding apostolic orderwithin the earth realm.
Listen to me when I say this, the Lord has had me to scribe 95
courses that I'm going to begindoing on June 28th.
It's going to be three differentSaturdays of the month.
And the first one is going to bea 12 month.

(13:25):
We're going to reassess and seebecause it's 95.
There is a beginner's levelBecause we're called to senior
leaders, leaders and emergingleaders, leaders and senior
leaders.
And so when we look at this, Godhas us dealing with the
beginners, the intermittent andthe advanced level senior
leaders.

(13:45):
What God is doing, God is usingus to rebuild the foundation,
the doctrine of the gospel, ofthe word of God, the
unadulterated word of God.
And what is happening in thishour and in this season is that
God is tearing down everythingthat's not Every altar that's
been erected, that's not of God.
And he is using us along withother men and women of God to

(14:09):
get this done.
So go to our website, RCNMinistries and check out the
courses, check out theapplication and all of this
because it needs to be inbecause there's paperwork to get
back to us, a packet by May31st.
So we can go over it, review, see where you are and get all
the information we need and getback to you with everything,

(14:30):
okay?
So we're going to move forth andtalk about this.
Another thing is that faith is achoice, not a feeling.

SPEAKER_00 (14:39):
Go ahead, Apostle.
In 2 Corinthians 5, verse 7, wewalk by faith, not by sight.
In Hebrews 11, verse 1, and itreads, Now faith is the
assurance, the tidal deed, confirmation of things hoped for
divinely, granted, and theevidence of things not seen.

(15:05):
The conviction of this, of theirreality, faith comprehends as
fact when cannot be experiencedby the physical sense.
So in other words, when yourfaith, you understand, you have
to have faith, you understand,God is working behind the

(15:27):
scenes, you know what I mean?
If you pray over something, youknow what I'm saying?
And God, you have not seen ityet, but he's working on it.
So you have to have confidencein what you hope for.

(15:50):
Faith says God is still good, even when I don't feel it.
Yeah.
I call it a real life example ortestimony to make it personal.
You had to make that personalfor yourself.

(16:12):
You know what I'm saying?
You had to have a personalrelationship with God.
And as the apostle said, since Imet her, it's a self-kiss.
So you had to come to And go foryourself.

SPEAKER_02 (16:30):
Yes.
Amen.
That's good, Apostle.
That's good.
That's good.
And I like what you said,Apostle, when you're dealing
with the topic, you know, we'resegwaying into different points
that we're making here on thismorning about faith is a choice,
not a feeling.
You don't, faith doesn't lead tothe manifestation of the glory

(16:54):
of God upon your life when youpick and choose.
We can't be saved today andbackslidden this afternoon.
We cannot go on our feelingswhen I feel like going to
church, when I feel likepraying, when I feel like
fasting, when I feel likeconsecrating.
No, no, no.
It's a lifestyle and it's achoice that you make concerning

(17:16):
those things Why?
Through the application of yourfaith.
Why?
Because this is the reasonableservice that you owe God.
You owe him your worship.
We all do.
We owe him our intermost being.
We owe him all that we have.
We need to be just like thewoman with the alabaster box
when she broke open her worship.

(17:39):
We owe that to him.
Why?
Because he gave us everything hehad.
Everything.
So we should not be withholdinganything.
Withholding nothing is the wayI'm going to say it.
So how do we lead or how to leadyour feelings with your faith?

(18:00):
So there are three steps that weneed to practice.
We need to learn how to name it.
What is it that God is tellingyou to do?
What am I actually feeling?
Name it, put a name on it.
You know, like we tell people ifthey go to our websites or our
app, you know, our givingplatform and we say someone

(18:23):
says, oh, we want to sow a seedinto something you guys are
doing global boots on theground, the apostolic boot camp
and all these different things.
And we tell them, we say, well, name your seed, name it, put a
name on it.
What is it that you're lookingfor God to do?
Name it, name it and put theseed in the ground.
So we need to learn how to alsoname it.

(18:46):
When we learn that we're goingthrough the application part of
how to lead with your feelings, lead your feelings, excuse me,
with faith.
So when you lead your feelingswith your faith, it's coupled
with one, step one, you name it.
What am I actually feeling?
So there is an awareness thathas awakened in you spiritually

(19:09):
and you are identifying what itis.
Then we need to learn tochallenge it.
My God, what does God say aboutthis situation?
What is the truth of thissituation?
What is it that God is leadingme to do in this situation?

(19:30):
I'm challenging it and applyingthrough application, the process
of application through the wordof the Lord.
Then we submit it.
Then we begin to say, God, OrLord, help me to choose trust
over what I feel.

(19:50):
Help me to choose trust overwhat I feel, not just feel what
I see, what I'm understanding,what I'm comprehending all
around me.
Help me to choose.
Help me, first of all, God,through this submitting is the
act of submission.
Help me to surrender.
Help me to surrender everythingto you.

(20:12):
Because you know what, God?
I can't do it.
I can't do it by myself.
It's totally up to you, God.
There is nothing I can dooutside of you.
Everything that I do is becauseof you.
I tell people all the time toGod be the glory and God gets
all the glory.
We are nothing but vessels ofhonor that have been broken.

(20:36):
But one thing I can tell youabout a broken vessel that when
the oil flows in a broken vessellike that alabaster box, it is
uncontrollable.
The oil flows in differentdirections at different
magnitudes, at different speeds, and baby, it saturates
everything around it because itis no longer encompassed within

(20:58):
that bottle, that alabaster box.
It's no longer encased.
It's no longer enclosed, butit's been broken open in
worship.

UNKNOWN (21:07):
Yes.

SPEAKER_02 (21:08):
my God, and it's going to hit on everything.
It's going to saturateeverything wherever the oil
should flow.
This is why God chooses to usebroken people because a broken
vessel is uncontrollable.
The enemy does not know whichway the oil is flowing.
He does not know which way Godis going to move you.

(21:28):
Why?
Because when you come intocontact, contact, with people
that have been through literallyhell in the physical, you begin
to understand that they havethis mentality like a pit bull
that once they lock onto who Godsays they are and their identity
in God, no devil in hell canshake them.
No devil in hell can move them.

(21:49):
No devil in hell can distractthem.
And they have this mentalitythat you know what?
No matter what it costs, if Ihave to go by myself, I'll go.
Whatever it takes, God, I'm in.
I'm all the way in.
I'm going head first.
I'm going full force.
I'm going deep, calling to thedeep.
I'm going iron sharpening theiron.

(22:10):
I'm going whatever it takes,God.
I am going in and I'm goingafter you.
I'm seeking you.
I am pursuing you.
I am in search of you.
I am in love with you.
And I submit all of me andsurrender myself to you, to your
will, to the purpose that youcall me to within this earth

(22:30):
realm in the time that you haveallowed me to accomplish your
will, my God.
We need to learn to justunderstand that you're not less
spiritual because you feelpeople of God.
It means you're sensitive.

(22:51):
It means you're alive, you'reactive.
It means that you feel that youhave a heart of flesh and not of
stone.
When we begin to understand isthat faith is the thermostat and
feelings are the thermometer.
Somebody better write that downthis morning.
Faith is the thermostat andfeelings are the thermometer.

(23:13):
My God, gauge it well, people ofGod, gauge it well.
My God, learn how to adjust thetemperature according to the
environment that God places youin.
My God, that's good right there.
We need to learn to practicechoosing one act of faith over

(23:34):
feelings this very week.
That's some homework for some ofy'all, right?
There it is.
For all of y'all, all of y'all.
Think about it.
We challenge you.
Practice choosing one act offaith over feelings this week.
And then we're going to comeback next month and it's going
to be about peace and thepressure cooker.

(23:56):
My God.
Lord, help us, Jesus.
Help us, God.
When we talk about faith overfeelings, people of God, we have
to learn to live by what Godsays, not just what we feel.
The key scriptures from todayare 2 Corinthians 5 and 7 and

(24:18):
Hebrews 11 and 1.
So then we begin to understandthat feelings are valid but they
are not the voice of God.
I'm gonna say that one moretime.
Feelings are valid, people ofGod, but they are not the voice
of God.
Get out of your feelings and getback into God.

(24:41):
Stop worrying about what peopleare gonna say, how people are
gonna act, what people are goingto do.
And as long as you are followingGod and his direction, God is
going to be pleased with you.
You have to learn to getdelivered from man and man's
ideology and what man thinks ofyou.
When you can get delivered fromman, you can do the will of the

(25:02):
father.
Until then, You will always beon this rollercoaster ride of
perpetual doubt, perpetualwrestling and tussling and
fighting and kicking against thepriest.
That's not where God wants you.
And I tell people, let me tellyou something.
If you find yourself goingthrough, this is not the time to

(25:24):
run from God.
This is the time to run to God.
This is the time to disconnect.
Sometimes you got to disconnectfrom social media.
Sometimes you got to disconnectfrom a cell phone.
Sometimes you have todisconnect.
You need to shut yourself in.
You need to pray.
You need to consecrate.
You need to read your word.
You need to eat your word.

(25:46):
And let that word digest in you.
You need to repent and say, God,you know what?
I know I haven't been faithful.
Because see, your greatestattacks will come When you step
outside of the will of God, yourgreatest attacks will come when
you're not within the will ofGod.
Your greatest attacks will come, people of God, when you're being

(26:06):
disobedient and you're walkingcontrary to what you already
know, according to the word ofGod.
The enemy will wear you outmentally, emotionally, and then
that thing will come and wearyou out physically if you allow
him to.
The enemy doesn't have controlover you.
He has control over what youallow him to control.

(26:28):
So when you get to the placewhere you say, you know what,
I'm done, I'm not going tostress about it.
I'm not going to worry about it.
I have prayed about it.
I put it in God's head.
And another thing, when you putit in God's hand, leave it
there.
Stop going back, picking it up.
Stop going back, feeling guilty.
Stop going back, uh, um, Becauseof pity party.

(26:48):
Stop going back just because onemoment you feel good and you're
all built up in the things ofGod and the Lord has blessed
you.
And then all of a sudden, bam, here come an attack.
When the attack hits, the enemytried to get you all distracted.
He's trying to get you allfocused.
These are the times that youpress in.

(27:09):
These are the times that yousay, you've given me the mind of
Christ.
I choose to have the mind ofChrist.
Lord, gird up my loins.
Father God, strengthen me inthis season because I'm going
through some things.
Lord, I need my leaders to prayfor me.
Reach out to your leaders.
There's nothing wrong reachingout to your leaders.
Reach out to your leaders.
But you know what?
When you're reaching out to themat the same time, apply the word

(27:31):
of God.
Apply the blood of the Lord.
And read your word.
Get in the face of God.
Stop allowing the enemy todistract you.
Stop allowing the enemy to getyou off focus and off track of
the things of God.
The kingdom has need of you, menand women of God.
It's time to be about ourfather's business.

(27:51):
It's time to get serious aboutour father's business.
This is not the time to playchurch, but this is the time to
stand up remnant and be thechurch.
Now, I want to turn this partover to Apostle Herbie before we
close.

SPEAKER_00 (28:14):
Practical steps.
Number three practical steps.
Name the emotion honestly.
Challenge the emotion withscriptures and submit it to God
in prayer.
Reflect and respond.

(28:34):
What feelings have been louderthan your faith lately?
What's true can you declaretoday, even if you don't feel
it?

SPEAKER_02 (28:48):
My Lord, listen to that.
Apostle just gave you threesteps and he's telling you to
name the emotions.
Be honest about it, people, whenyou're doing it, honestly.
Be honest about it.
What are you feeling?
What emotion is it?
Is it unforgiveness?
Do you feel stagnated?
Do you feel overwhelmed?

(29:10):
Do you feel unloved?
Whatever it is, be honest aboutnaming the emotions that you're
feeling.
You've got to challenge thosevery emotions that you're
feeling.
Go to scripture, read yourscripture.
There's always a word in theBible that's going to be able to
lead you to what the Lord issaying.

(29:33):
Then you're able to understand.
You go back and you look and yousay, you know what?
After I found the scripture, after I've read the word, now
I'm going to submit this untoGod.
That's it.
Like Apostle said, what are thefeelings that you have?
What's been louder in your faithlately?

(29:56):
You've got to learn what thetruth is.
You've got to learn to declareit today.
Even if you don't feel it,you've got to allow God to do
it.
This is a Q&A part of thesegment.
I'm going to leave you all withthis.
Question one will be, is itwrong to feel anxious, angry, or

(30:16):
doubtful?
No, absolutely not.
Emotions are a normal part oflife.
The issue isn't feeling them.
It's being led by them.
God invites us to bring ourfeelings to him and let the
truth lead.
My God.
The second question is, how do Iknow if I'm walking by feelings

(30:40):
and not faith?
We're going to answer that likethis.
Ask yourself, people of God, ismy decision based on how I feel
or what I believe?
If your actions shift based onemotions, it's a sign that to
recenter your focus.
That's a good one right there,y'all.

(31:01):
We get too emotional.
As women, we're emotionalbeings, period, point blank.
But we've got to learn.
We've got to stop getting soemotional and letting our
emotions lead us and allowourselves to run to God,
surrender and submit to God, andallow ourselves to be led by the
Holy Spirit and not ouremotions.

(31:22):
I want to put a plug in righthere.
You cannot be led by the HolySpirit until you have been Holy
Spirit filled.
I'm going to leave that rightthere on the altar.
All right.
The third question is, this isfour of them.
What's a simple way to shiftfrom emotion to faith?
You use the three-step processthat Apostle Herbie read to you

(31:45):
earlier and the examples he gaveyou, what the three-step process
is.
First thing you do is name it.
I'm feeling anxious.
I'm feeling unloved.
I'm feeling unwanted, whateverit is.
I'm feeling like I'm at my wit'send.
Name it, the first thing.
Second thing, you challenge it.
God says, be anxious fornothing.

(32:05):
Remember, you're going to go tothe word and you're going to
find a scripture for whateveremotion that you're dealing
with.
Then you submit it.
The third thing, you submit itin prayer.
Lord, I give you this worry, whatever the worry is that you
name, and repeat it often.
Why?
Because faith is built throughpractice and application.

(32:29):
The fourth question is this.
You want to finish that one,Apostle?

SPEAKER_00 (32:34):
Does God still honor my faith even when I am
struggling emotionally?
Yes.
God sees your heart.
Faith isn't about perfection.
It's about persistence, choosinghim even though tears still
comes as obedience.

SPEAKER_02 (32:55):
Wow.
You hear that?
Emotional.
When someone is struggling, whenwe are struggling, when you are
struggling emotionally, we needto understand that faith does
not mean and it isn'tperfection.
It's persistence.
When you're going after God witheverything you know how, even

(33:16):
though emotionally you may bedestroyed, you may be wrecked,
you may be going through, youmay have lost someone, you may
be having struggles in yourfamily, you may be having
struggles in your marriage, youmay have struggles in your
friendship, whatever it is, butchoosing God, even through the
tears, people of God, stillcounts to God as your obedience.

(33:40):
