Speaker 1 (00:01):
Hello and welcome
back to the Gilfran.
This is Stephanie Smith.
I am your host, and today'spodcast is A Vibe a Day Keeps
the Doctor Away.
You know, the old saying goesAn apple a day keeps the doctor
away.
What if I told you there is noscientific proof?
(00:22):
And yes, that is correct, thereis no scientific proof other
than an apple giving you one ofyour fruit servings per day.
That's it.
So that's the reason why I hadto go out and I've been vibing
for one full year and hey, Icame up with a vibe a day keeps
(00:47):
the doctor away.
So not only does it workimmediately for many health
issues, but there is scientificproof.
Yes, that's right, scientificproof.
But before we start there, Ijust want to start.
I'm going to read somethingtoday, because anybody who knows
me knows I do a lot ofinspirational reading stuff
(01:10):
every day, and so today's bookjust brought me something that I
thought I'd share.
As we are going into the newyear, why don't we have some
kind of goals, and no bettertime than the present?
So I read a book called Getwhat you Want by Tony Burroughs.
(01:30):
Love this, and so thisparticular one is on page 288,
renewing.
To renew yourself, you need totake a break every so often.
Everything we do repetitivelyfor a long time causes us to
grow stale.
It doesn't matter whether it'sat our job, eating the same food
(01:54):
, driving the same car or in ourrelationships.
If we stay at it without takingan occasional break, we are
confronted by the law ofdiminishing returns.
Really put, the law ofdiminishing returns says that
you can eat one ice cream cone, and it's good.
(02:16):
You can eat two ice cream cones, and they're still good.
But if you go and eat seven oreight ice cream cones, you'll
start to get prettyuncomfortable.
You'll need to take a breakfrom ice cream for a while and
renew yourself so that you cancome back and eat ice cream
(02:37):
cones again in the future.
This little analogy not onlyworks for ice cream cones, but
for everything we do.
We become inefficient and dullif we do not work with this law
consciously.
I had a very good friend in Konawho worked side by side
(03:00):
throughout the week with hiswife.
He always made a deliberatepoint to get away every second
or third weekend to watch sportson TV with his buddies.
Needless to say, his wife wasnot always happy about this,
especially because he would justup and go whenever he felt that
(03:21):
their relationship was becomingstrained either becoming so
close together all the time.
But in the long run theirrelationship flourished year in
and year out, because he had thewisdom to work in harmony with
the law of diminishing returnsand get away so that they would
(03:42):
both have the time to rechargeand come back together renewed.
If you just think about the lawof diminishing returns and you
look at your body and you saynothing's working right now,
I've tried a lot of things.
So that's where I was a yearago when I was unhappy.
(04:04):
I was 35 pounds overweight, Iwas depressed, I was laying in
bed all the time, my body ached,I was on lots of medication and
I was not happy.
So last year, this time, Idecided I had a girlfriend send
(04:24):
me a little message and aboutvibing.
And so at that time when Istarted vibing, I was vibing
between the hips and yes, thatis called a vagina vibrator.
I'm not afraid to say it.
Yes.
And I did lose, right off thebat, within two months, ten
pounds.
I got my core kind of feelinggood but it kind of stalemated.
(04:49):
But you will definitely have togo back and check out the
podcast on vagina vibratorsvibing between the hips and
prostate massagers vibingbetween the hip from it.
So please go check those outbecause those will be coming in.
The next I'm having every dayis going to be a different type
(05:11):
of vibe, so look for it.
So what is whole body vibration?
Okay, what is it?
So what is it?
It's a way of enhancing yourhealth care.
You can do it by itself, inwhich I do, or you can do it
with all the other kinds ofalready working out stuff that
(05:34):
you do yoga, exercise, the gym, treadmill, weights.
It's a safe and effective wayto improve balance, posture,
falls, assistant, weight loss, increase bone density and speed,
healing of sprains, strains andautomobiles Ha, are you
(05:56):
following?
I'm just kidding.
I love that show, that movie, but this line reminds me of that
speeding heels.
Healing of sprains, strains andfractures and other injuries.
A vibration plate transmitsoscillations to the entire body,
and research has suggested thatjust 10 minutes of oscillating
(06:20):
the muscles on a vibrating plateplatform can provide similar
benefits to an hour of running, making it an efficient and
time-saving method for enhancingphysical fitness.
Vibration plates work bystimulating your muscles at a
(06:42):
much higher rate than usual.
Normally, your muscles contractand relax once or twice a
second.
But the multidirectionalvibrations of a vibration plate
transmit energy to your body, which stimulates your muscles.
This stimulation forces musclesto contract and relax between
(07:04):
30 and 50 times per second.
The vibration is like a waverepeated over and over again.
Scientists quantify this wavethrough its frequency the number
of waves per second, measuredin hertz and its amplitude,
which is the size of the wave.
Just like a radio receivercaptures radio waves based upon
(07:27):
their amplitude AM, or frequency, fm.
These two factors alsodetermine the effect of
vibration upon the body.
Different tissues in the bodywill respond to different
frequencies.
So, for example, research hasshown that muscles respond best
to frequency between 30 and 50hertz and the ideal frequency
(07:50):
window for stimulating bonegrowth is 30 hertz.
So there is I posted on myReddit account a full list of
all the different types offrequencies and how they affect
your body, and it is called theRIF, r-i-f-e frequency list.
(08:11):
So please check that out on myReddit account.
It's a very long list.
You can also check it out onGoogle, but I do have it listed
there.
So what's the history of thevibration plates Like?
Why are we talking about this?
Well, let me just tell youthere's a lot of history.
This has exploded in the lastseveral decades for their safety
(08:33):
, convenience and effectiveness.
But did you know it's one ofthe oldest methods of recovery,
with its origin starting inancient Greeks Greece, when
warriors sustained injuries orneeded a method to speed
recovery, doctors would apply amore primitive version of the
vibration effect as a techniqueto encourage healing.
(08:56):
They didn't have batteries orelectricity then, so they would
achieve a similar stimulation bysawing pieces of wood or
plucking large instruments.
Another finding was riding onhorseback or donkeys with speed
recovery.
Even though used in ancientGreece and Rome, it wasn't
(09:16):
adopted until the 1800s.
John Barclay described a casewhere vibration cured muscular
spasm, and throughout the 19thcentury vibration was decided to
reduce morbidity, supportcardiovascular health and treat
digestion and other nervousdiseases.
(09:39):
We go on to Gene Martin.
Charcault's research began whenhe heard evidence of patients
with Parkinson's disease and henoticed reduced pathology after
long train rides or carriagerides.
He used that kind of travel, the vibe, and he invented the
(10:02):
vibration chair that would mimicthat movement.
His invention was used in30-minute sessions on his
Parkinson's patients and heintroduced a level of their
ability that allowed controlover frequency and intensity and
(10:22):
vibration direction.
Charcault's was ahead of histime of his research and
attention to personalization.
He would tailor each session toeach person's needs.
Now, johannes Gustav Zander wasa Swedish doctor who
(10:44):
established what we now know asthe modern gym.
He had a space where he testedpieces of equipment on patients,
including one of his inventionscalled the Zander Aparat F2,
which stimulated a jog trotsimilar to the experience of
(11:06):
riding a horse.
He tested it out on hispatients and noted that his
device helped stimulate weightloss and contributed to muscle
gain.
In 1895, john Kellogg improvedupon Zander's design and
invented the first steam-poweredwhole-body vibration machines,
(11:31):
and then he paved the way formodern machines with his chair
and platform designs.
Moving on, we've got to staybecause there's history.
So lots of research that hasn'tbeen captured, but lots of
history about it.
Vibration in the 20th century.
Everything was sidelined untilthen as a result of the World
(11:53):
Wars in the 60s, and there was arenewed desire for health
research and many scientistsfocused their efforts studying
the effects of whole-bodyvibration.
Professor Bierman developedrhythmic neuromuscular
stimulation, otherwise known asRNS, which is the direct
(12:18):
ancestor of many devices thatare available on the market
today.
You've heard of things likePEN's units, or you know those
wave units.
Those are those kinds of things.
Rns Vibration therapy was firstfully embraced by the Russian
in the 1970s and further refinedby Vladimir Nazarov to give
(12:44):
their Olympic team a competitiveadvantage by helping them speed
up the recovery.
Nazarov and his colleague Spivakwere the first to make the
connection that vibrationincreased and could stimulate
bone regeneration.
This knowledge and therapy wasapplied to Russian astronauts
(13:09):
who experienced a reduction inbone density and this treatment
helped them recover theirstrength following space travel.
In 1995, russian astronautValery Polakev became the first
man to spend more than 400 daysin space thanks to the benefits
(13:32):
of vibration therapy.
So scientists have been fromall over the world have been
adopting the vibration therapy.
Americans even used vibrationtherapy to prepare astronauts
for landing on the moon.
German scientists used toimprove flexibility.
Carmelo Bosco he's an Italianphysiologist invented the modern
(14:00):
day whole body vibrationmachine that became available
for us in the homes or gyms ofindividuals for the very first
time.
So vibration therapy becamemore sophisticated and devices
function by applying highfrequency sinusoidal, sinusoidal
(14:22):
vibrations in vertical side,alternating directions.
They became widely used incompetitive sports to help
assist in warm-ups, cooldowns, reduction of delayed onset,
muscle soreness and flexibilitytraining.
In the 1930s, weight loss beltswere all the rage.
(14:44):
It didn't really gain tractionuntil the 1960s, when
researchers began to study itseffects on muscle strength and
bone density.
Remember all of our moms havingthose plates that had those
belts and their bodies wereshaking.
This is it.
This is what we're talkingabout.
(15:05):
And they did it for weight loss, and then they went away.
So vibration therapy hasreceived a serious upgrade in
the 21st century, withindividual vibration devices
hitting the market and are moreaccessible than ever to
clinicians and consumers.
Not only have they been able toput medical claims to dust,
(15:26):
there are many refined designsto be more effective and hone in
on the right frequency andintensities to achieve
therapeutic benefits.
And that, my friend, is a mostconsolidated history of the
vibration plates.
(15:47):
Go out there.
I have all of this posted on myReddit.
You can see all the stuff, allthe research I found, and so
we've been doing this for manyyears.
So why so?
Why so?
Why would someone use this?
Well, it's effective.
10 minutes a day equals to onehour of running on the treadmill
(16:09):
, and it can burn up to 700calories and it can complement
other exercise routines.
It'll improve your musclestrength.
You'll see improvedcardiovascular respiratory
function, strengthening of yourleg muscles.
Your core will get stronger, your back, your arms, you'll be
(16:32):
more flexible.
You'll have improved balance.
This is a great one forrehabilitation, as it returns
and enhances circulation.
It reduces stress levels, weight loss and increases in
bone density.
It can strengthen your muscles,it aids in your sleep and it's
(16:54):
so much more.
You're gonna have to check outthat full podcast, because I
have a full podcast on when youknow considerations, pros and
cons for the vibration plate.
But there are so many benefitsand at the end of this podcast
I'll give you the benefits thatI have reached, because I
started out telling you I was 35pounds overweight and I only
(17:18):
lost 10 pounds using thevibration between my hips, and
so I've been vibing on avibration plate since the
beginning of September, when Igot it from my mother in August,
and now my whole family isvibing.
So okay, and if you can look at, you know they go.
(17:38):
What is it?
Why would you do it?
You know 10 minutes.
Well, 10 minutes a day youcan't do 10 minutes a day, 10
minutes.
I had to find the easiest, quickest way to get blood flow
going through my mom's bodybecause she's not moving.
She became extremely sedentarydue to COVID and I needed to get
(18:00):
the best bang for my buck.
And this is what I found, andin the interim, I found out so
many other benefits in my life, along with several other people
around me and people I'm talkingto have their lives have
changed.
So it was only fair for me,being that I am a healthcare
(18:21):
consultant for the last 35 years, working for orthopedic and
pain management doctors andbeing a patient myself.
It was only.
It was only it only felt rightfor me to share this information
.
So you will see, I'm notselling anything.
There are no links to anythingexcept for good vibrations.
(18:45):
If you want to buy a vibratorbetween the hip vibrator, I do
sell those and you can certainlygo there because that's a great
store.
Okay, and remember the 10minutes a day.
Okay, it equals one hour ofjogging.
Well, first of all, I don't jogever one hour.
(19:07):
I don't know if you do, butI've never done it, and even
when I did jog, I didn't do that.
I mean, good Lord, 20 minuteswas like, do I have to do any
more than that?
So I think 10 minutes is prettyeasy and that's why I'm
recommending it.
Now here's where I'm gonna tellyou my little disclosure,
(19:30):
because I don't really want toget my vibration plates.
It's your responsibility.
Just like snowflakes, no twobodies are the same.
Before you shake it up, consulta professional to ensure it's a
good vibe for you.
Your wellbeing is worth theextra shimmy to search, all
(19:52):
right.
So make sure you go out andsearch.
It's your responsibility.
So when would you do this, allright?
Well, you could do it in themorning.
It would certainly wake up theblood flow and loosens up your
muscles.
I do it in the morning.
I tend to be stiff.
I feel fabulous when I vibe inthe morning.
I do it after my first cup ofcoffee.
(20:13):
I get on and vibe.
It brings blood flow to mymuscles.
It reduces my tension or anyanxiety or stress I may be
feeling.
I just it just is awesome.
I just love it.
It's been a game changer.
The other one that you can do itis at night time and that has
(20:36):
been a whole game changer for alot of people.
Please check out the fullpodcast on sleep and vibing,
because I do a whole podcast onthat and it's been a game
changer to so many people andthey're sleeping through the
night they used to wake up atthree o'clock in the morning, no
(20:57):
more all done and not everynight, but the majority, like
80% of the time 85.
And you could check out some ofthe stories I have live people
on.
So please go and check out someof my podcasts with some of the
people that are sharing theirtestimonials and go check out
the full podcast on why workingout before going to bed and what
(21:21):
it does to you, because that'sa whole podcast in itself.
But that is key.
So in the morning and at night,or just in the morning or just
at night.
So don't over do it please.
10 minutes goes, that's it.
That's all you need to do.
I had many people I've not many, but I've had a few people that
(21:42):
have been that thought 10minutes, well, that's good.
Then I'm gonna do 30.
No, and then they couldn't walkfor like three days.
So that's excessive, doesn'thelp.
So please just stick with theregimen of 10 minutes a day,
because that will help you all, right, okay?
So how to do it?
(22:04):
Well, there's plenty of YouTubevideos.
I'm gonna start doing live soyou can check out my lives and
go check all my stuff out.
So I have YouTube videos.
I'm gonna be on TikTok you cancheck out other people's lives
I'm going to have.
There are some cons, okay, andeveryone needs to check out what
(22:24):
is gonna work for them, becauseeveryone has a different.
You're a little snowflake,remember that.
So I don't know all your healthissues.
So if you have a few super, super delicate snowflake then I
would highly suggest that youstart vibing.
First of all, do all yourresearch, but sit down, start
(22:46):
putting your feet on it and justget the blood flow going.
It's a little bit, goes a longway and you can just start a
little bit and then, as youstart to feel better and you've
done your research and you'vehad other people assist you in
finding the vibration platethat's gonna be the right for
your physical body needs andyour health needs, then you can
(23:10):
be getting out there and vibingevery day.
You will see.
I know that there's not enoughresearch that tells you how much
should you vibe.
Now I'm telling you over vibingis gonna be, is not gonna be
good.
It's health-wise, it's not.
I know people who've tried overvibing and it doesn't work.
(23:30):
I know it can make you evensore if you over vibe.
So if you're starting out, start out a minute a day, two
minutes a day for the first week.
Then move it up by one minuteincrements.
Two minute increments.
(23:51):
Slow is okay and no, there isno remedy out there.
So I'm gonna coach you in doingwhat works for your body, as
you are a sweet little snowflakeand we need to make sure that
we don't crumble our littlesnowflake, okay, by making them
(24:12):
vibe, you know, and doing thisexcess, and then they're not
well and they're gone.
That little snowflake is nolonger a snowflake.
So please be sure that you goand listen to my full list of
con.
I'm gonna I'm just gonna listthe ones that I found and, of
course, you're gonna need tolist go look for one specific to
(24:33):
you.
I'm gonna list all the pros aswell.
So go check that podcast out aswell.
That will be coming as well inthe next few days.
This is the first one.
Now, the reason why I'm notselling anything?
Because everyone has specificneeds.
Every, every plat vibrationplate is geared towards
(24:58):
frequency.
They have different prices, anywhere from 50 to 10,000 to
15,000.
Everyone has different priceranges, every.
I want everyone to get outthere and do that, regardless of
the price of anything, becausewhy can't we all be healthy and
you know, when we are healthierwe feel better and then we are
(25:24):
better in our lives and to thepeople around us.
So a vibe a day truly isscientifically proven from
ancient times that this works.
So I do hope that my call toaction tell you go out there,
find a vibration plate thatworks for you, like my podcast,
(25:49):
send it to two to three people, get on a vibing kick together.
Start your own little tribe ofa vibe a day.
Keeps the doctor away.
I have my own tribe and mywhole family vibes, and so all
the adults in my family and wehave all seen significant health
(26:12):
improvements, and so we will behaving sharing our story
starting in January as a team ofseven of us and we will be out
there.
So, and for mine, I'll tell youmine my story.
(26:34):
I did it for my mom and foundthat it worked for me in all my
health issues.
I've been vibing for a fullyear in between the hips.
For one full year I it didn'tget progressively better on my
health benefits until I startedusing the vibration plate, and I
(26:55):
still do vibration between thehips because of the benefits I
saw on my pelvic floor, insideof my whole gut area and so that
is why I still vibrate betweenthe hips and I do that three or
four times a week and I vibrateon my vibration plate five times
at least a week and then I doother things like yoga and so
(27:19):
just other things, for nopersonal benefits.
I started out at 145.
I am now 115.
I cheated between 110 and 115,so I just say 115 I have.
This is the weight I was beforeI had children and I feel good.
(27:41):
I, my body, my muscles, I cansee, are getting stronger.
My balance is amazing.
I've increased energy, mymuscles.
I always wake up with lowerback pain and I have little,
(28:01):
very little back pain anymoreand also I do other things.
But but this has been like thegame changer of like, really
almost like massaging my muscles, if you will.
I've noticed a huge increase inmuscle strength and I might.
(28:23):
People are even commentcomplimenting me on my legs how
good my muscles look on my legs.
So I know it's working.
I'm not doing it for all thosepurposes.
I was literally doing itbecause I wanted to get blood
flow through my mom's body and Icouldn't just tell her to do
something and not do it myself.
So that's the reason why I havebeen doing it.
(28:46):
Now.
My dad is my sister, herhusband, my brother, his wife
and we all will be sharing ourstories in January.
You'll.
There are some podcasts outthere about my sister and her
vibing story and she is amultiple amputee, so she's got
some really amazing storiesabout how it's improved for
(29:09):
blood flow through all of herbody.
So, alright, it's been a gamechanger.
I look forward to those whowant to enjoy this new year with
a new you, because you got tounleash your inner beast mode
with our with this ultimatekickstart of a vibe a day keeps
the doctor away.
(29:30):
Vibration plates are $5.50.
You can go get some.
Second hand is what I've beentold.
You don't have to spend a lot, just start.
All right, good luck.
Like, follow for more, sharethis information and send me
your stories.
