You can't really cover the topic of community without talking family. Everyone has one. Some families provide a supportive community. Other's very in how well they do that.
In the episode, Jorge shares his family experience growing up in a tight knit immigrant family. He tells us about the things his grandparent did to build a family community. They faced hardships, but held on to a self-sacrificing spirit where everyone supported each other. His father passed that long to him in that same self-sacrificing way and Jorge reflects on how that has influenced him and his wife in raising their children. And that leads to a transitioning of roles from the child, to the parent, to the grandparent and the cycle begins again. The members need to transition, sometimes smoothly so they serve each other best.
