Shannon Cutts (00:00):
Welcome back to
Let's Talk to Animals.
My name is Shannon Cutts.
I am an animal sensitive andintuitive, a Reiki master
practitioner, an animalcommunication teacher and mentor
with animallovelanguagescom andfor our purposes here today, I
am your friendly neighborhoodhostess for the Let's Talk to
Animals podcast.
We are now in our sixth seasonand this season I'm really
(00:24):
bringing a special focus toanswering frequently asked
questions and talking throughtopics that are perceived as
being perhaps particularlywoo-woo, even in a field that is
pretty woo-woo on its own.
So we're taking a look today atone of the big hot button
(00:45):
questions that I get askednearly every week, which is
should I ask my pet in spirit toreincarnate to me?
And often there's so muchemotional charge around this
question because you're tacklinga lot of woo as well as just a
lot of emotion all at once Formany of my pet parent clients,
(01:08):
especially in the last sixmonths or so in the wake of the
runaway smash success of my newfavorite podcast, the telepathy
tapes.
I'm seeing so many pet parentscoming to me and they've never
had an experience of animalcommunication before, and that
is huge.
I am in awe of you If you havestepped out into an experience
(01:33):
of something where you've justnever had it before.
Maybe you haven't told anybodyelse that you're planning to
have this experience.
You've said yes to yourcuriosity.
Often what happens is when youare saying yes to something new,
like having an animalcommunication session with your
pet, there's something going onwith your pet that has you
(01:55):
concerned or worried orquestioning whether you're
questioning the care they'regetting, you're questioning
yourself and the care you'reproviding.
You're questioning how they'redoing, how they're feeling,
whether you're meeting theirwants and needs.
I will never forget the veryfirst time that I scheduled an
animal communication session formy animal family and how I felt
(02:19):
, and trust me when I say therewas nobody in my life at that
period in time that I would havetold that I was doing anything
like this.
So I am floored and awed by thecourage, especially my newer
pet parent clients who arecoming in some reference the
telepathy tapes or otherresources they've come across or
(02:39):
they've read a book, or they'vemaybe seen this podcast or
they've read a blog post thatI've created and they're saying
yes to something that they don'tfully understand.
And, to be quite honest, Ilearned something new every
single time I talk with a newanimal.
Every single time that animalteaches me something new.
(03:00):
So as I learn new things, Icome here to the mic and I pass
them along and I share them withyou and we discuss them
together.
And because this particularquestion comes up so frequently
and I'm seeing so much thisintersection of my pet parent
clients who are having anexperience of animal
(03:21):
communication for the very firsttime and they're going through
something so deeply challenginglike a pet transitioning to
spirit, I really wanted to bringthis topic to you on the
podcast right now.
It feels like the right momentto walk through some of the
common misconceptions and justquestions that come up when
(03:43):
you're thinking about I love myanimal.
They've transitioned to spirit.
I don't feel like I can livewithout them, but I also want
what's best for them and I don'tknow if it's selfish of me to
ask them to come back into abody.
So there's all of this going onand if you're listening to me
talking and you can relate tothis, just know that this
(04:05):
podcast episode is for you frommy heart, the heart of one pet
parent to another and even ifwe've never met, we share that
bond of that catastrophic griefand that empathy and that
longing and that feeling of Idon't know what just happened
(04:26):
here and I don't know what'sgoing on and I don't know how
I'm going to get through this.
So let's take a look at this inas step-by-step order as we can
ever create for these deep, intuitive topics.
The first question and thebiggest question on the table if
your pet is in their end oflife transition, or they have
(04:48):
just transitioned, or if they'vebeen in the spirit space, in
the etheric space, for a while, the big question on the table is
should I ask my pet toreincarnate?
And we'll dive down beneath thesurface of that question and
take a look at the subtopicsthat we just walked through in a
little bit more detail.
(05:09):
But let's start here.
My answer to you is yes, because if you have a longing to
experience pet reincarnationwith somebody that you love,
that is its own form ofcommunication.
I can't emphasize this stronglyenough.
I am so honored.
(05:30):
I have pet parent clients in 20plus countries.
I get to talk with people fromso many different places around
the world that come from so manydifferent cultures and faith
backgrounds and in so manydifferent walks of life, of all
ages and life stages, and eachone of these pet parents has a
(05:55):
deep bond of love with theirpersonal pet that, no matter how
much I study and practice, Iwill never be able to touch that
.
So if anybody is going to getthe message that pet
reincarnation is even on thetable for you, it's going to be
you, not me.
It's not like I'm going to callyou up in the middle of the
(06:15):
night and say, hey, your petjust woke me up from sleep and
told me they want to reincarnateto you.
No, you're going to call me oremail me or DM me or send me a
session request.
Your pet is going to tell youand the way that they tell you
is through this longing that youfeel to have them come back.
And this is the biggestmisconception that my pet parent
(06:40):
clients have about the wholeprocess.
If I walked you through thewhole thing, maybe I should do
that.
Let me know if you'd like me todo that.
Maybe I should walk you throughthe entire timeline of exactly
how pet reincarnation works andbreak the whole thing down for
you.
But when we get to this stageand you are longing for your pet
to come back, just understandthat you have a lot of options
(07:03):
when your pet passes to spirit, you could choose not to get
another animal.
Some people do that their heartis so broken they can't ever
imagine a replacement for theiranimal, or they're just in a
situation in their life wherethey cannot take in a new animal
at this time, and so they justchoose not to have animal
companionship in that way.
(07:24):
Maybe they volunteer withanimals, but they don't choose
to adopt a new animal or add anew animal to their family.
Some people choose to clonetheir pets.
Typically, this doesn't workbecause what we're doing is
we're cloning the DNA of thephysical body, what we call the
spacesuit in pet reincarnationcircles physical body, what we
(07:46):
call the spacesuit in petreincarnation circles.
It's not possible right now forus to identify and acquire and
clone the DNA of the ethericbody or the soul, which is the
real pet.
Right?
Our pet isn't the body thatthey live in, no matter how cute
they are.
Our pet is the energy thatinhabits that body.
And when that energy departsthe body, if we're at all
sensitive, we can tell thedifference.
(08:07):
You can look at an animal ofany species and you can tell
whether there's energy in thatbody or not.
And so when we try to clone ananimal who's passed.
We're cloning the DNA of thatbody.
We can create the new body.
There's no guarantees about thesoul that will eventually take
up residence there, so that'swhy that tends to be a little
bit of a disappointingexperience.
(08:30):
The pet may look very similar orthe same, but they may not act
the same or similar and that canbe very jarring and frustrating
.
But that's an option on thetable.
You can also go out and you canadopt a different animal.
There are many, many animalsthat are available that need
loving homes, so it's not likewe're facing a shortage.
(08:50):
It's very important tounderstand and this is where I
like to start, because it'svital to grasp this before we
move further, before we godeeper into the exploration.
If your heart is essentiallysaying no to all those other
options and is saying I wantthis animal, I crave the company
(09:10):
of this energy, this energeticsignature, this heart thumbprint
, this particular being and onlythey will do then your pet has
already said yes.
You have already said yes.
And because our pets, as theythemselves have told me, pet
(09:30):
means partner, empathic friendand teacher, because our pets
are our teachers, our pets areour partners, our pets are
empathic to us to a degree thatwe can only aspire to emulate.
So if the idea of petreincarnation is even a gleam in
your inner eye, guess whoprobably planted it there.
My guess would be your pet.
(09:51):
So if you think you came upwith the idea of asking your pet
to reincarnate to you all onyour own, I would encourage you,
with all the love in my heart,to think again and to feel into
that more deeply.
Love in my heart, to thinkagain and to feel into that more
deeply.
It is always your animal's idea, because that is just the nature
of how evolved we are.
Our pets vibrate on a higherfrequency.
(10:13):
They have made friends withtheir right brain hemisphere,
which is sensory and emotion, energy and motion based.
We tend to live in our leftbrain hemisphere, which has no
access to intuition.
So can you just imagine howhard your pet in spirit has had
to work, or even your pet who'sgoing through their end of life
(10:33):
transition, and they're managingall that and they're also
somehow creating a way to popthe idea of pet reincarnation
into your brain.
I've given them some props andknow that I say this with so
much love because I have beenthere and if you've listened to
the podcast episodes on how mysoul bird Pearl came back to me
(10:56):
as Miss Petal and how my boxturtle, bruce came back to me as
young Io turtle, then youalready know there is so much
humility here.
I am definitely learning at thefeet of the masters, so just
understand that the whole issueof should I or shouldn't I tends
(11:20):
to evaporate when we trace theseed of that idea back to its
source and realize how did Ieven think that up?
Where did that idea even comefrom?
I don't think I thought that upall by myself.
That is definitely thebrainchild of your beloved
(11:40):
animal tucking the idea intoyour awareness, animal tucking
the idea into your awareness.
And for some of us it can get alot more complicated.
Number one, because our leftbrain mind gets a hold of it and
, as I just mentioned and thisis a topic for a whole other
episode but our left brain mindis not intuitive and so it will
go zero to 60 with an idea likethat over.
(12:03):
But how and the mechanics?
And it's like that's not reallyour job.
That's not how manifestingworks.
And anything we desire, anything we dream of, anything
that we crave, we manifest andthere's a process behind that
and that is part of what I teach, not only inside of my animal
communication adventure studentprogram, but when I work with my
(12:25):
pet parent clients one-to-one,to call their pets back to them
through the joyful reunion ofpet reincarnation.
There is a process.
We work with both hemispheresof your brain, because you can't
do it through the left brainchannel alone.
You need your right brain.
But where this gets challengingand this is pretty universal is
(12:49):
where we start to run into ourown belief systems or our
assumptions, because, in lieu oflived experience, what we end
up with is belief, which is ashallow substitute.
Belief is well, I believe inpet reincarnation, but I haven't
(13:12):
had any direct experiences ofit yet that I'm aware of.
Or I don't believe in petreincarnation because I haven't
had any lived experiences of ityet that I'm aware of.
And even if we feel a callingtowards the belief side, the yes
side, the I at least want tosee side, often what happens is
we have others in our life, other people who don't believe.
(13:35):
We may be surrounded withfamily, with a faith community,
with colleagues or friends orpeers, or a whole culture, a
society that does not believe, and it's been codified into
belief equals fact.
Well, that's not actually true, not empirically speaking.
Belief is actually a reallyinteresting hypothesis and we
(13:57):
can choose what we want to dowith that.
Scientists, they, often like topursue that hypothesis and try
to turn it into at least atheory, if not hard and fast
facts.
Then we do that throughexperiments, through science,
through research.
Some people, they codify itinto a religious dogma.
Whether we've experienced ornot, whether we have any data or
not, this is what we've decided.
(14:18):
Everybody that follows our wayis going to believe.
So there's all kinds ofdifferent ways that we can
interact with experiences thatwe haven't personally tangibly
had yet.
For me, I look at belief as aprecursor to lived experience,
which translates for me again aspersonal truth.
(14:39):
So once I've had the experienceof pet reincarnation, for
instance, it's no longer anissue of belief or lack of
belief.
It's no longer an issue of Ibelieve it, but I'm going to
keep it to myself because I knowothers don't believe it and
they'll try to talk me out of itand that will bother me because
I haven't had an experience ofit yet.
(15:00):
So I actually don't know ifit's true for me or not, and so
I'm just left in this limbo ofbeing buffeted around by the
winds of my opinions, otherpeople's opinions.
That's not a very firmfoundation to stand on.
Once I've had the experience ofsomething in this case pet
reincarnation, which I've hadfive times to date in my life,
it becomes a personal livedtruth for me, and two wonderful
(15:24):
things happen when that occurs.
Number one I no longer needanyone else's permission to seek
out that experience.
I am no longer worried that I'mgoing to get myself into some
kind of hot water, eitherthrough suddenly being an
outcast, not belonging, jeopardizing some other aspect
of my life or a relationshipthat is important to me through
(15:46):
being an outlier.
Number two it no longer bothersme when other people don't
believe.
I don't need to convince anyoneelse.
I don't need to mention it toanyone else.
I'm probably not going tomention it to anyone else if I
sense they have a lack of belief, because I don't want to make
anyone uncomfortable and Irecognize they simply haven't
(16:07):
had any kind of experience yet.
That's given them a differentperspective.
To try on for size For me, as Ishare in the podcast on how I
recognized my Pearl, who was thereincarnation of my Jacob and
is now the reincarnation as MissPetal, when I recognized my
Pearl, I did not want anotherbird.
I was still grieving.
(16:27):
I was angry at my mom forcalling me and telling me to
meet her at PetSmart.
I saw not want another bird.
I was still grieving.
I was angry at my mom forcalling me and telling me to
meet her at PetSmart.
I saw the baby birds and waspreparing to turn around and
then, out of the corner of myeye, I saw pearl and my hand, on
its own, reached out as therest of me was trying to back up
.
My hand reached out, he jumpedon, crawled all the way up my
arm with his baby claws andclung to the strands of hair by
(16:52):
my neck and would not leave.
When we have the experience, weknow and everything else becomes
a non-issue.
I don't need to go around andcrusade for everyone to believe
in pet reincarnation.
It's enough that I've had thereunion with my love I hope that
makes some sense where I seemany of my pet parent clients
(17:15):
struggle.
And if this is you, please knowthat you are in very good
company and this is part of theevolution of our consciousness
from 3D to 5D or whatever Dwe're heading towards now.
This is how we do it.
It's messy, it's awkward.
Not everybody goes at the samepace, that's okay, it's
perfectly all right.
You go at your pace and allowsomebody else to go at their
(17:36):
pace, and we'll get thereeventually.
But there's this collectivedesire to survey everyone else.
Would you think that's a goodidea?
What do you think about this?
And often we find out that noteverybody thinks it's a good
idea, and then we either decideto pursue it under wraps and we
have this whole extra layer ofkind of silence and secrecy, or
(17:57):
we decide not to pursue it andour heart just stays broken
because we know that there's areally good chance that a joyful
reunion is possible for us, andwe've actually said no in
prioritizing other people'sbeliefs or opinions really is
what they are above our inner, knowing that this is an
experience we're being called tohave.
And so I just feel like wereally need to set that stage
(18:20):
first, so that you understandthat this is between you and
your pet.
Nobody else gets to weigh in onthis, at least in theory, of
course, if you've got a new babyin the house or you're about to
move or something else.
Those are things that we factorin, and I see those issues crop
up all the time in my sessionswith my human clients and there
are ways to work through them.
(18:40):
So if you are facing somethinglike that, please get in touch
with me.
We can set up a session and wecan learn as we go along how to
navigate that part of theprocess.
But just understand, at itsfundamental core, this is a
choice, a decision that you andyour pet make together, and
nobody else has earned the rightto get in on that decision or
(19:00):
to influence your decision, because nobody else has the
lived experience of the bondthat you and your pet share
together.
So if you're even pondering theidea of pet reincarnation, which
is really very practical, it'sreally not woo at all.
It's really quite simple.
It all goes back to the law ofconservation of energy by none
(19:23):
other than Albert Einstein.
Energy can neither be creatednor destroyed.
It can be transmuted andtransformed, and that is exactly
what's happening.
As we move in and out of these3D physical spacesuits that we
call bodies, we're justrecalibrating our frequency back
and forth, and that energy isalways alive and sentient and
(19:46):
conscious, whether it's in abody or not.
So just understand if your petis giving you the idea, the
creative idea, of petreincarnation.
They're alive.
They're as alive, probably morealive, than they could ever be
in a body.
They're so alive right now andyour relationship continues and
(20:07):
when the time is right, it maybe possible to revisit the idea
of pet reincarnation.
But that is also bringing up oneof the concerns you expressed
to me when you scheduled yoursession.
Well, isn't my pet in a betterplace now?
Isn't it selfish of me to wantthem to come back when they're
(20:28):
in the etheric space?
They're in the spirit of thesoul space now, and there's no
pain, there's no suffering, there's no grief.
Well, that is true.
And the animals have told meand showed me and shared with me
time and time and time againthat when they transition out of
their 3D physical spacesuitsand they recalibrate to the
(20:51):
etheric dimension, there is nopain and it is a wonderful
vacation home.
And I think it's veryinteresting that they use the
term vacation home.
So a vacation home is a placethat you go to visit.
It is not a place where most ofus live permanently.
It is a place that iswell-known to them, it's beloved
(21:12):
, it is a wonderful escape.
It's a refresher and arecharger.
I have heard through my petparent clients about
communicators who say, well, only 30 to 40% of the pets
reincarnate, or only a few petsreincarnate, or I've never had
any pet tell me they want toreincarnate.
Well, that's again, that's notmy lived experience.
(21:36):
Talking with hundreds uponhundreds upon hundreds of
animals in all life stages andall dimensions, I can only speak
from my own personal livedexperience, and what I'm
receiving from the animals isthat we need them more than ever
right now because our planet isdying, our species is facing
(21:59):
some interesting times, and theylead through unconditional love
, which is the most powerfulpower source in this dimension,
in any dimension.
So of course, we need them morethan ever to lead us through
some of the challenges thatwe're facing individually and
collectively and as a planet, and so of course they're going
to come back to us.
They're going to help us.
(22:20):
Nobody and again, all of thiscomes from the animals.
Please do not think I am holedup somewhere cooking up wisdom
for you.
I'm not.
I'm talking with animals andthey are teaching me.
So if you want to learn lessonslike these, the best place to
do it is in my animalcommunication classes, because
the animals are magical teachersand the animals have told me
(22:40):
that nobody of any species comesinto a body without two goals,
two intentions One, they havesomething to teach, which we
just talked about, and two, theyhave something to learn.
So when an animal chooses tocome back to us, chooses to come
into a new, fresh 3D spacesuit,a physical body, they are
(23:04):
coming because their bread isbuttered on that side, because
they want to, because it isadvantageous, because they are
empathic.
And when we are empathic, whenwe are essentially perfect in
our soul form, our original soulform, then that empathy
naturally moves us to serve.
(23:25):
That's the nature of an empath,it's the nature of an evolved
being.
Us to serve, that's the natureof an empath, it's the nature of
an evolved being.
We have empathy and thatempathy, which is to feel as if
or just suffer with, translatesinto compassion, which is to act
with passion on behalf of andwhat better way to act with
passion on behalf of others whoare suffering than to come back
to be with us again?
(23:46):
So it is in everyone's bestinterests when a pet says yes to
pet reincarnation.
Only good is going to come fromthe union between your
unconditional love for them andtheir unconditional love for you
.
That is a powerful force forgood in a place, a planet earth,
that really needs more powerfulforces for good.
(24:09):
So that number one concern thatyou tell me you have, which is
isn't it selfish of me to askthem to come back?
Well, just know that they don'tsee it that way.
They've been to the vacationhome, they had a great time,
they rode the rides, they gotthe souvenirs, they had all the
adventures and they're refreshed, they're re the adventures and
(24:29):
they're refreshed, they'rerejuvenated and they're ready to
come back.
And because our linear time, our concept of linear time, does
not apply equally in theetheric realm, they can get a
lot done in a very short amountof time.
So where we're saying, oh, it'sbeen three days and already
they're headed back, well, justunderstand that my pearl died in
the morning on January 8th andabout three hours later he
(24:52):
downloaded all of his returnplans to me.
When I followed those clues, Idiscovered his little bird body
had already been laid and wasalready growing before he died.
His body was laid on December22nd, he died on January 8th, so
that looks like a quickturnaround in our linear earth
(25:13):
time.
We won't remember how timereally works, or if time even
exists, until we return to thatetheric space ourselves.
So there is a mystery involvedhere and that is what requires
the intuitive activation and thesoul evolution on our part.
A very wise mentor once said tome tell the universe what you
(25:36):
want and why.
Don't tell it how you cannot gothere.
Do not go mess with that.
Do not push the red button, don't cut the blue wire.
You've got to stay in your laneand we must learn how to work
with the co-creative universalforces for good.
(25:58):
I teach all of this inside ofAnimal Communication, adventure
and how manifesting really worksand the role of the different
parts of your brain, includingone called the reticular
activating system, that isessential for manifesting the
joyful reunion of petreincarnation.
(26:19):
So just know, I'm an intuitiveengineer and I have researched
the crap out of everything thatall of the animals have shared
with me, so I can explain it toyou in terms your left brain
mind will comprehend.
It's definitely a labor of love, it's so helpful to me too and
I enjoy it so much.
But the bottom line is it'sgreat in the spirit space and
(26:42):
it's great with us too, andthrough pet reincarnation.
They can have the experience ofboth.
If you were faced with thechoice between choosing option A
, that you loved, or option B,that you also loved, or option C
both A and B, both of which youlove what would you choose?
Me, I'm going for C every time.
(27:04):
The next question that I oftenreceive is is my animal ready?
Often, the question is phrasedin this way is my animal ready
yet, as in do they need moretime?
Are they ready right now?
Is it too soon?
Has it been too long?
This is so interesting, right?
I'm 54 as of the recording ofthis podcast and I hired animal
(27:29):
communicators for many yearsbefore I ever got a clue that I
was hearing the animals directlyand could do this work directly
myself.
So while I'm dating myself alittle bit, which I never mind I
also can recognize through thatexperience that we are waking
up.
And if you wake up one morningand suddenly the idea occurs to
(27:52):
you oh, I loved my dog that Ihad in my twenties, or my cat,
or my horse, or my parrot or myturtle, I so wish we could be
together again.
And it's 30 years later andyou're in your fifties, like me,
that's not off the table Again.
Linear time only applies here onplanet earth.
We really don't remember how itworks and we won't until we go
(28:13):
back to our vacation homeourselves, and that is the
nature of maximizing our gift ofthese human and non-human
animal adventures that we havein these 3D spacesuits.
So the only way to know if it'stime yet or if your animal
needs more time or wants moretime, or it serves the greater
(28:35):
purpose for all concerned thatthey take more time in the
spirit space, is to ask them.
This is not a cookie cutteranswer.
There's only one way to findout the perfect, optimal, ideal
timing for you and your personalsoul pet to reunite through
(28:56):
time, the joyful reunion of petreincarnation, and that is to
have a conversation.
And of course that is what I doand we can find out for one pet
it might be.
I'm already coming back, likemy Pearl when he was
transitioning back to BemisPetal For my box turtle, bruce.
If you listen to that wonderfultwo-parter episode that I didn't
(29:18):
know was going to be atwo-parter when I started
recording it, you know thatBruce went missing during a time
when I literally was caring formy mother who had fallen.
My father had just died.
It was total chaos in my life.
I didn't have time to look forhim the way that I would have
ordinarily and he rewildedhimself and I never found out
(29:40):
what happened to him.
And it took a few years.
And every so often somebodywould say oh, I think I saw your
turtle because he was aninternet celebrity, if you know
what I mean.
On Instagram and Facebook.
He was pretty well known andevery so often I'd get a tip and
they never panned out and Ilived with that grief.
There was no way for me to knowwhere to even start looking for
(30:01):
him.
And then three years went by.
In the meantime I had adopted ayoung box turtle named Io, and
Io didn't have any detectablepersonality, which is normal
when they're hatchlings.
But two years into ourconnection I still didn't feel a
bond.
And then I went on a trip, cameback, got very ill this is the
too long didn't listen versionand while I was extremely ill,
(30:25):
in a feverish state, I reachedout to Bruce.
I don't know why.
So this goes back to what westarted the conversation with in
this episode, which is thatguess who plants the idea of
reincarnation into our minds.
It's not our own brainchildthat we cook up on our own.
So I'm in a feverish state.
I'm reaching out to Bruce.
He tells me he's transitionedand that he's okay and he lived
(30:47):
a wonderful life and all thesegreat things that I share in the
podcast episode.
And the next morning I wake upand I'm inexplicably better,
like so much better, and I goout to deliver a little Io, her
food.
I thought Io was a girl and Iohas transformed overnight and is
literally acting like Bruce, like a carbon copy of Bruce, and
(31:11):
I share the rest of that storyin that doubleheader podcast
episode.
But, just to let you know, ittook more than three years in
that case and I had given up.
So if you are still missingsomebody, an animal that you
shared life with and it's been awhile, even a long while it's
never off the table, if the ideacomes to you, it's worth
(31:34):
exploring that, taking that nextstep.
Another question that comes upsometimes, and often this won't
surface right away, but therecan be a need to ask yourself am
I ready?
There's a couple differentflavors of this.
Often, where I see this crop upis we're already in the middle
(31:55):
of the conversation with theirpet and spirit.
Maybe we're talking with youranimal who's transitioned and
we're starting to unpack someclues and gather some
information about theirreincarnation plans.
And then I will hear somethinglike well, we're just getting
ready to travel for the summer,or we're getting ready to move
(32:17):
houses, or I'm pregnant, or myhusband or wife or partner just
got a job change, or my child isabout to go to college.
I mean, there are just so manydifferent ways that it can come
up, but the flavor of it isalways it's a little chaotic
right now and everything's alittle bit up in the air and I
(32:38):
don't know if it's the righttime for me, for us to welcome
the soul pet back.
And that's a really importantquestion and that's not
something that I can help with.
I could certainly be anobjective listening ear for you
and your interspecies family, hold space for you to work
through that, but that's betweenyou and you and just to
(32:59):
understand, there's a deeperfear often underneath this and
the fear is I will miss them andwe're going to get to that here
in a moment.
But often the fear is it's nowor never.
And what I want to debunk foryou here, based on, again, what
the pets have shared with me, isthat it is not now or never, it
is when the time is right.
(33:19):
That it is not now or never, itis when the time is right.
This whole process exists wellbeyond and above, at a much
higher frequency than the levelof the extremes that exist here
in earth.
School on planet earth, that, black or white, yes or no, we're
dealing in gray here, we'redealing in all the in-between,
and so just understand, if it'snot now and there is a true
(33:43):
heartfelt desire on both of yourparts, then it will be later
and that's okay.
So patience is required inthese cases and, first and
foremost, unconditional honesty, just acknowledging wait a
minute, I'm dealing with.
It's now or never.
That's black or white thinking, that's left brain mind, that's
non-intuitive thinking.
(34:04):
I'm in the wrong brainhemisphere to even start this
conversation and that's wheresomeone like me can come in and
assist and support you to have areally truly productive family
planning communication sessionand talk through.
Well, where are we gettingstuck?
Where are we just needing alittle bit of an unfolding
(34:25):
understanding, or maybe somepatience, because that anxiety,
our left brain mind, isn't outto get us, it's out to protect
us and keep us safe.
And so that's that fight Now.
Now I must make it fit or flee.
It's never going to happen.
Oh, now I must make it fit orflee.
It's never going to happen.
Oh, I'm screwed or freeze, which is to stay stuck in limbo,
(34:46):
arguing within ourselves, within our own head, forever?
And we don't want to stay there.
We understand.
Oh, my left brain mind is justtrying to protect me.
My sympathetic nervous systemis just trying to protect me
from getting hurt.
That's a beautiful gift, thankyou.
Now let's go talk with youranimal and get unstuck and move
forward and create a workablefamily plan for that joyful
(35:07):
reunion, now or later.
Either one is great, right?
If you had to choose betweennow, later or never, what would
you choose?
I'd either want now or later,if it was me talking.
So there's that other fearUnderneath, that is, if it was
me talking.
So there's that other fearUnderneath that is.
Well.
If it's not now and they'recoming back now, then I'm going
to miss them.
And here again, this is what oneof my mentors, don Miguel Ruiz,
(35:30):
who wrote the four agreements,in the fifth agreement.
He calls this the process ofdomestication.
Domestication is when we'retold how it works and we look at
our relationships as judgmentday rather than conscious,
continuing collaboration.
So it's my way, or the highwayis domestication.
(35:53):
This is my timeline, this iswhat works for me Get on board
or get out.
A lot of us can look back.
I know I certainly can, in myeducation, in my workplace
training, and I can see thosefingerprints are all over the
place.
Pet reincarnation is different.
It is a conscious, continuouscollaboration between two beings
who love one anotherunconditionally.
(36:14):
You will not miss them unlessyou insist on it, and that's a
big enough topic to unpack in awhole different episode.
So again, let me know if youwould like me to take this topic
and run with it and walk youthrough the entire timeline.
I'm happy to do that.
I just want to know that thatis what you would like to hear
(36:35):
about.
So drop me a DM over onInstagram at
loveandfeathersandshells, or youcan always email me through my
website or leave a commentwherever you're listening and
let me know that way.
But as long as you are willingto adopt a spirit of patience
and curiosity and continue toengage in the conversation as it
(37:01):
unfolds, know that there ismutual free will involved here.
You are not making your petcome back because you love them
so much.
You cannot live without them, and I mean that with every bit
of honesty within me.
I've had pet parent clientstell me that they have checked
themselves into the ER.
They have gone to the hospitalbecause when their pet died they
(37:24):
had such severe physicalsymptoms that it was mimicking
heart attacks.
They thought they were dying.
Heartbreak syndrome is a veryreal situation and it is
triggered by catastrophe, extreme trauma, like grief.
So just understand that this isnot how pet reincarnation works
.
It's not about well, you haveto come back because I can't
(37:46):
live without you and I'm goingto die.
Well, okay, that's prettytimely and the timeline for pet
reincarnation doesn't typicallyadjust very well to crisis.
So just understand that's nottypically how that process is
designed to work.
And since we're dealing withmutual free will in other words,
(38:07):
I said yes of my own free will, with zero coercion and you say
yes of your own free will withzero coercion there's no issue
of now or later and missing, because this is about learning
to pay attention.
I love what the great artist andinventor Leonardo da Vinci was
(38:29):
so fond of assigning to his newstudents and I teach.
This is actually one of thevery first lessons that I teach
inside Animal CommunicationAdventure, which is that when a
new student would come to thegreat maestro and ask for
instruction, the first thing hewould do is he would send them
out into some random place afield, a town square, a garden,
(38:51):
somebody's backyard and tellthem to just sit there all day
and notice things.
So if you like people watching, you'd probably love this.
Go to the mall and just spendall day sitting somewhere
noticing things.
And he would say to them notice, wonder, get curious, follow
your curiosity.
I tell my students try tonotice one new thing a day, one
(39:14):
new thing an hour.
We don't want to micromanageourselves, but every day take
five minutes with your animal, with your pet or with a wild
animal in your backyard or witha plant, and just notice one new
thing about that beingsomething you never noticed
before.
And the more you practice withthis, the more insight and
inspiration you will receive andthe more your intuition will
(39:35):
come online.
And so intuition is its owneducation, it's its own
curriculum and it can take sometime.
And as long as you're still infor that, you've signed up for
that curriculum.
You don't want to drop thecourse.
You're still in.
There's no issue of missing.
This question is so nuanced Icould spend a whole podcast
(39:56):
episode just on it.
There's concerns about well, what if somebody else adopts my
animal before I get to them?
And I understand where thatfear is coming from, because I
used to feel that way myself.
But the truth is is that thiskind of thinking is, again it's
very top-down judgment day thehammer and the nail my way or
(40:17):
the highway, and we forget thatour pet has free will.
Just as badly as we want tofind them, they want to find us.
So if somebody comes along andthey're not us, that pet has
full free will to makethemselves unappealing.
And it's funny when I talk withthe pets and I ask well, how do
you do that?
How do you make yourselfunappealing?
How do you convince somebodywho really wants to adopt you
(40:40):
that they don't want you?
Like I'll pee on their foot orI'll try to bite them or I'll
have tummy trouble.
That day I'll be off my feet,I'll have just pulled a flight
feather out and I'm grumpy andin a bad mood, antisocial.
They have their ways.
So just understand as badly asyou want to find your
reincarnated pet, they also wantto find you and they are
(41:02):
motivated to make sure that you,and only you, adopts them.
And that is where I'm going toclose out for today's episode.
In any episode like this, Irecognize that often we listen
and leave with even morequestions than when we came, and
you can see how this is such adeep and such a rich area for
(41:24):
exploration and for the brave, for creating new hypotheses,
interesting questions.
We do that by noticing newthings, getting curious,
wondering about them,experimenting.
I feel so blessed and so luckythat I get to take a deep dive
every single day into theseexact kinds of questions as I
(41:46):
talk with animals and they teachme.
Your animals are teaching meabout everything that I then get
to turn around and share withyou.
So again, if you come to me andyou share your questions, if
you post a comment or you DM meor you email me or you find me
over on your favorite streamingservice and leave a review and
(42:09):
you pop your question in there,I don't just cook up the answers
to those questions.
That's not how I look at it.
I go to your animals and I askthe collective consciousness and
I learn from them, and then Icome back and I share what they
have taught me with you.
So thank you for sticking withme through this episode.
(42:32):
I deeply hope I aspire to haveoffered you some hopefully food
for thought, maybe somereassurance, some guidance,
perhaps some curious ideas tocontinue to explore.
Maybe drop them into yoursubconscious.
They may percolate and unfoldin dream time.
