(00:00):
Yes. Let's give it to Seth Grossman,
Liberty and Prosperity. His website, libertyandprosperity.com.
Yes, Seth. It is a slippery slope. Correct?
It is. And all this stuff is posted
on the website, a lot of new stuff,
and I urge everybody to share it. When
you see our post, if you like them,
(00:20):
just, hit the Facebook icon or the x
or Twitter icon to share it with your
friends. And if you don't like what you
say, please comment because we publish all the
comments
or come to the breakfast that we have
every Saturday morning from 09:30 to 10:30
at Sal's, at the banquet room of Sal's,
coal fired pizza,
Grove Avenue and New Road in Somers Point.
(00:42):
But the issue of the free speech, the
Democrats keep forgetting
that they have been smothering the free speech
of Republicans and conservatives
for the past fifteen years.
That whole Citizens United case.
That was a case where where conservatives
just wanted to run a movie,
(01:02):
towing the biography of Hillary Clinton
and the
Obama
government tried to
say it was a crime
to do that. It was a violation of
the election
law.
And all those times when liberty and prosperity
was knocked off of Facebook and
then Twitter before,
(01:24):
Elon Musk bought it. So the Democrats have
been smothering speech for years.
And all that Trump's doing is he's doing
the same stuff that the Democrats
were doing, which in my opinion is equally
wrong.
But we've got to look at it at
perspective.
In fact, our
whole organization libertyandprosperity.com,
(01:45):
we're a tax exempt education organization.
And we were
approved routinely
by when George Bush was president.
But when Obama became president, he made a
rule that any organization
seeking tax exempt
status that had the word liberty in its
title was to be automatically rejected.
(02:07):
So,
you have to put things in context.
But I think the big issue though,
is the Democrats know
that every time people are talking about Trump,
Democrats get energized,
women and young people get energized
and they vote for Democrats.
So that's why when you had the debate
(02:28):
last week
between
Republican Jack Ciattarelli and
Mikey Schorrell, the Democrat,
for Governor of New Jersey,
every single answer
that Mikey Schorrell gave
did something to mention Trump. It was Trump,
Trump, Trump, Trump.
Because she now in fact, the headline to
(02:49):
the story was
Trump at center of debate between Ciccarelli
and Sheryl.
Because they want to make Trump the key
issue.
And they believe and I think the Democrats
one thing when the Democrats do something,
they do polling, they do focus groups, they
do all the science of public opinion you
need to do. So I'll take their word
(03:10):
for it, that they think that as long
as Trump is,
talked about constantly
that Mikey Sheryl is going to win this
election. But if we talk about issues that
relate to New Jersey,
that relate to Sheryl and Chiarelli and who's
a better candidate,
then Jack Chiattarelli is
gonna win. And,
we saw during the past week,
(03:32):
the
shock poll came out,
showing that Chiattarelli
is even
with Mikey Charette, both at about 43%.
Until now,
it had been Mikey Charell like with about
46%, 47%
and Jack Shittarly at 38%.
So she had like a 7% or 8%
(03:52):
lead
the whole time. Now that lead has evaporated.
It's gone.
And the other interesting thing that goes to
what we talked about
last week
is that
the Democrats
are leading among voters 50.
Jack Ciattarelli is overwhelmingly
winning
(04:13):
by voters 50.
And most people listening to this program are
voters 50. That's right. So I want to
congratulate
your listeners for talking to their kids and
their grandkids
during the past couple of weeks.
And that we're not asking you anyone to
bully or threaten, just
we older folks, we have experience. We've seen
liars come and go.
(04:34):
We know who's telling the truth and who's
not because we've had experience dealing with it.
So we have to have those conversations with
the younger folks to let them know what's
going on. What's important and what's BS
that people just say during the campaign
and that's forgotten
later.
So of course, one of the big issue
is our electric bills,
(04:55):
which
affect everybody. They affect jobs, they affect taxes
because everything we do
needs electricity.
And of course,
it's documented,
the charge show that
Governor Murphy
destroyed six power plants to promote his green
agenda
because we lost those six power plants. New
(05:16):
Jersey for the first time in history
is not producing enough electricity to meet our
needs. We have to buy very expensive electricity
from this far away from Canada.
And the Democrats and Mikey Schorel were saying,
yeah, we know it's going to cost an
arm and a leg, but we've got to
protect the planet.
And all this is pure garbage.
And only
(05:37):
is saying, you know, my top priority is
gonna be rebuild those six power plants, make
us self sufficient, and, and bring the electric
bills down again.
Another thing that that I noticed, I don't
know if you did,
I got my gas bill a couple days
ago and was $45
Now that may not seem like a lot,
(05:58):
but this is talking about my office. I
didn't use any natural gas
during the past month, but I paid $45.
It used to be a pay like a
$10 or $15
service fee even if you didn't use any
gas.
But why did they increase it 300%?
Well, because that's paying for all the political
programs,
(06:18):
the green energy program, the free
bills for the illegal immigrants who who who
don't have to pay their bills. You'll never
get disconnected.
So these are the the costs that are
that you don't even notice,
but this is the cost of Democrat socialist
government, New Jersey, which Murphy has brought in,
and we need Jack Chetarelli to get rid
(06:39):
of. Oh, the other thing, I just got
back from Florida. You know what the, price
of gasoline in Palm Beach County, Florida is?
It's $2.84
a gallon,
$0.2 lower. Now it always used to be
that
Florida had better roads, fewer tolls,
but they paid about $0.2.30
a gallon higher than New Jersey.
(07:01):
So now Florida still has better roads, no
tolls,
and we're,
you know, we're now we're paying 20¢ more
a gallon.
So, I think it's important to talk about
these specific issues.
And I think, you know, instead of talking
about Trump, Trump, Trump,
the best way to help Trump is to
get Jack Shatterley elected. And the best way
(07:21):
to get Jack Shatterley elected is to talk
about these specific issues,
talk about,
Mikey Sherrill and the difference. Mikey Sherrill is
a lawyer. She's you know, she says she's
a like a helicopter pilot, but if you
look at her military records,
she got out of, you know, active,
you know, military work, you know, in the
(07:42):
after her first year or two,
she had a private Benjamin career in the
military where she was like a glorified secretary,
for an admiral, at the headquarters.
And,
and then as soon as she got out
of the military
right after her minimum after going to West
Point, she became a lawyer and then got
a soft
job with the US attorney's office,
(08:03):
up in, in West Jersey.
So, you know, you know, everything about her
campaign is all fake. Alright. So now now
let me talk about, probably the real bombshell
that came up with Mikey Sherrill. We found
out that she,
cosponsored well, she's in Congress.
She cosponsored a federal law,
(08:23):
to give,
reparations
to black Americans.
And I'm so I'm really shocked that this
has not become a major
campaign issue by now
because,
you know, reparations
are supposed to mean if I do something
wrong to you
and cause you damage,
I reimburse you, and that's called reparations.
(08:45):
Which means that if I were a slave
owner and you were my slave,
reparations mean I, the slave owner, compensate you
for the years I made you work for
me without pay.
But, coming a hundred and fifty years later
and forcing whites, Asians, and Hispanics
who never owned slaves
(09:05):
to pay higher taxes to give money
to blacks who never were slaves,
that's not reparations.
That's robbery,
and theft.
And this is what Mikey Scharell cosponsored,
two years ago.
So,
and and it it it also doesn't talk
about the great majority of Americans,
(09:27):
who, weren't in America
or who often were treated worse than slaves,
in the old country they came from. A
lot of your Asian and African immigrants,
live like that. A lot of your holocaust
survivors,
were were treated,
where at least an American slave had value.
Jewish slaves in the holocaust,
(09:48):
as soon as they were no longer
able to work, they were just killed because
they had plenty more to use.
So why should they pay reparations
to, people who were never slaves?
And then we talk about the the descendants
of families who fought and died to free
slaves during the civil war.
Why should they pay black Americans who were
(10:09):
never slaves?
So,
anyway, all and and then the final problem
with the, with with reparations is,
the Democrats and and again, Mikey Schorell voted
for, you know, the Reparations Act of of
02/2023,
claiming that all the bad conditions that blacks
are living in,
were caused by slavery.
(10:30):
But we know that's a lie also that,
you know, what's caused all the problems with
the poverty, the crime, the lack of education,
lack of health in the black community,
those are all the welfare programs
that started in the 1960s.
All of those problems were on the verge
of being
corrected
(10:51):
until the civil rights movement in 1963,
1964,
1965,
embraced socialism.
Has nothing to do with slavery, But,
I I hope that more,
voters will be aware of how dangerous it
would be
if we have Mikey Sherrill, who believes in
this reparation stuff, in addition to every single
(11:12):
tax we have in New Jersey to add
a reparations tax. It's outrageous, and we need
to be talking about it.
We certainly do. Is your group gonna talk
about it today?
Oh, well, it's certainly posted on our website.
It it's it will be talked about at
the breakfast. It's in our newsletter.
And if you wanna know more about it,
it, you know, just do you know, go
(11:33):
there. So, again, I know I'm harping on
the election between Jack Ciattarelli and,
and and and Democrat Michael Shirell,
but all these other issues we have, we
could keep talking about those issues,
from now for the next couple of years.
But if we lose this election,
and, and we have Mikey Sherrill continuing what
(11:54):
Phil Murphy is doing,
we will never turn America around.
And and this will have national impact. The
rest of the country will be looking at,
what happens in New Jersey, what happens in
Virginia
this,
this November.
We we can't affect anything in Virginia, but
we can certainly affect a whole lot that's
going on here in New Jersey.
Yeah. We it is an important election. Really
(12:17):
is.
And then I also like to talk about
one other thing, that's a a key issue.
And as many of your listeners know, there
was a four hour
memorial service last Sunday in Phoenix
for Charlie Kirk.
And it was four hours long. I watched
about an hour of it. There were dozens
of speakers.
(12:38):
And one of them was Tucker Carlson.
And I used to be a big fan
of Tucker.
In fact, one of your listeners invited me
to meet him and hear him speak in
Naples, Florida two years ago.
But since then, Tucker went off in a
different direction.
And a lot of people are talking about
what he said at that, Sunday memorial.
(12:59):
Now now most of Tucker's remarks
about Charlie Kirk were very mainstream American, and
I agree with him a 100%.
You know, Tucker pointed out that what makes,
America
different,
was the Christian idea
that the key to happiness and success is
not blaming others, but to make yourself a
(13:21):
better person.
Christians turn to Jesus, Jews turn to the
Bible, and we all turn to the Bible,
and they all take us to the same
place.
So, we ask ourselves if something's not right
in my life, what can I do to
make myself a better person? How can I
be better to others? How can I encourage
others to be better to me?
And that American value, you know, we we
(13:43):
take it for granted because we were all
grew up that way.
But in our what they're teaching our kids
in college and what most of the world
believes in is this woke socialism.
And that's based on the idea that if
somebody has something I don't have, I'm a
victim.
I'm gonna use guns, protests, votes, and threats
to punish a privileged person and take what
(14:05):
I'm entitled to. And you normally find out
that Americans since Benjamin Franklin,
who said, if I have a problem, I'm
going to make myself better. I'm going to
make my family better. I'm going to get
married. I'm going to work with my family
to make life better for us.
Americans were always happier and more successful.
And people who always blame others for their
(14:25):
failure
are usually miserable and they fail more.
And and he also said Tucker Carlson also
said
what we all agree
with, that the people who killed Charlie Kirk
wanted to shut him up.
And, again, the reason that Charlie Kirk was,
killed,
we wasn't just killed by the guy who
(14:46):
who shot the gun.
He was killed by the
endless propaganda he got from the Democrats, from
the woke socialist, from the Hollywood media, from
the culture,
saying
every problem in the world is caused by
toxic white Christian men, and anyone who protects
the traditional American values is an evil fascist
and ought to be killed.
(15:07):
Just like just like when the mafia guy
would say I have a stone in my
shoe.
And, and Tucker Carlson correctly pointed out
that as with Jesus,
when you choke somebody to silence them, you'll
only make the truth and the idea that
they fought for more obvious.
And and that's,
you know, it turned out to be true
(15:27):
with Charlie Kirk.
I was in a synagogue in Florida,
for the Rosh Hashanah Jewish New Year, and
there were dozens of young people
who even though they're Jewish, they were in
synagogue for the first time in years
because they were inspired by Charlie Kirk.
And, and Rick Shafton, who was my pollster
(15:49):
and campaign consultant when I ran for congress,
said that, Charlie Kirk bringing attention
to to what we're facing in this country
is helping all Republicans
all over the country.
And he called that sudden,
change in the polling for,
putting Ciccarelli even with Mikey Sherrill. He called
(16:10):
that the Charlie
Kirk effect.
And I don't know if, if this is
something, but when I was driving back from
the airport,
on Tilton Road on Thursday,
and I saw the weekly protest they have
for,
at the office of, congressman Jeff Andrew.
I saw there were only,
that maybe eight or eight or nine protesters
(16:31):
there.
So maybe,
there is an effect, but we have to
really build on that.
Yeah. That that you're you're right. You're absolutely
right.
And and and the one thing I I
that that worried me a little bit about,
you know, Tucker Carlson's remarks
is he he had a dog whistle in
(16:52):
his remarks. He said, you know, my favorite
story
is about, Jesus preaching the truth, and the
leaders in Jerusalem didn't wanna hear the truth.
So we have a a bunch of people
eating hummus in Jerusalem
saying, what are we gonna do about this
guy? And one of them says, well, let's
just kill him. And then Tucker started laughing.
(17:13):
Now,
you know,
I don't know if if Tucker said this
in a careless way,
but when you bring up something like that
about, well, who killed Jesus,
you know, then it brings up the argument,
well, the the Jews killed Jesus. And,
there's been a lot of anti Semitic stuff
that picked up on that. Now, you know,
most of your listening audience, you know, we
(17:34):
listen
will watch Fox News and NewsNation to get
our news. But most,
people under the age of 30
go to
TikTok,
you know, Instagram,
Instagram, Twitter, all the all the social media.
And a lot of people picked up on
that and saying, yeah, the the Jews killed
(17:55):
Jesus. The Jews also killed Charlie Kirk. All
this horrible,
anti Jewish stuff. And I just wanna mention
one thing that if you actually you know,
I was, even though I'm Jewish, I went
to Duke University when it was a Methodist
school,
and I I had to spend a full
year, freshman year, studying the Bible.
(18:15):
And when you read the details of that
story,
you you see in in,
the chapter of, John chapter 11,
tells that the, that the Jews who, who
made the plot against
Jesus, they were afraid of the Romans. They
said, you know, why better that one man
die for the nation than that the whole
(18:35):
nation die. And if you know the story
of,
of of how the,
in the Passover holiday,
you had,
50,000
people in Jerusalem. You had about a thousand
Roman soldiers. But during the Passover holiday,
you would have about 200,000
Jewish pilgrims would crowd into Jerusalem,
and that would really freak the Romans out.
(18:58):
And,
and and, of course, when Jesus came into
Jerusalem with the, you know, being greeted with
the palms,
that's the details of the story, and I'll
be posting that. Anyway, we this is what
we talk about at our breakfast every Saturday
morning. And,
and listen, thank you for letting me,
air these views for libertyandprosperity.com.
(19:18):
Yeah. Well, as always, a pleasure, Seth. Thank
you. Seth Grossman, libertyandprosperity.
