(00:00):
OK, guys, so first recording I I'm not going to do any post
edition on this, so I'm trying to make it as similar as
possible. Also, I'm thinking like the
easier out for this series. I'm going to name it the thought
process. You know, I like naming things.
I don't know why, but I'm just gonna name it the thought
process. So I'm just gonna give a brief
(00:22):
introduction or just how it's gonna be.
This is gonna be like basic regular podcast episodes, I
guess, just without the push production because, you know,
that takes time and I don't havethe time.
I'm sorry guys, but I'm just being realistic.
I I don't have the time, but I just want to share the message.
So I'm just trying to take the, the fastest way possible or like
(00:43):
just the the easiest route to doso.
So yeah. So the plan for this series is
that, you know, I, I come on here and then I, I just drop
some stuff of what I've been learning and I don't want it to
just be podcast. So I do just want to be
recording podcast. It's very easy just between
(01:04):
podcasts, but I just want to explore the creative direction
'cause I, I do a lot of creativestuff, you know, so I, I do also
be doing podcasts. I, I want to see like maybe
podcasts, some tweets, maybe a video.
That video is very sketchy. I don't know, you know, really
sketchy, but then like probably a video at some point and some
like graphics. So I I used to release quotes.
(01:27):
So like some like picture quotes, but like ponder, ponder,
ponder pieces. Yeah.
So like porno pieces basically, basically just releasing porno
pieces. That is it.
So I, I haven't released one of those in a while.
So I just been doing that some broadcast episodes, some porno
pieces in that's very short, like a very short idea.
Just put out a tweet instead of like keeping in a like, and I'm
just used to form an episode of writing or whatever.
(01:49):
An article, probably articles for like long form content for I
trust myself I'll be able to sort it out when, when it comes
to that. So yeah, today's topic is
oftentimes you're wrong for the,for the schedule of the
creations. I don't want to put the
schedule, but I don't I don't want to do like every Tuesday by
2:00 PM like every every two days, every three days.
(02:11):
You know, I don't like, I don't like working schedules because I
started to think about it too much and then he, you know, he
messes up the whole reading. So I would often think about it
like very, very well. I think about it every time
that, OK, I needed to design this by this time.
So I think I'm just going to work my inner scheduling than
put in a date. And then I have to be
comfortable for it because then I will now start looking for
(02:34):
ideas and now start fishing for ideas and engineers come
naturally and then, you know, message the origin.
But like, if I have an internal schedule, OK, I want to release
this by this time, like in everytwo or three days, I want to be
releasing this. So I already have an internal
schedule. My brain starts looking for new
ideas. And then I often find those
ideas sort of like really hard route and, you know, setting
(02:54):
myself up for failure. So yeah, just as just that.
And let's just let's just get into the episode.
You know, I just want to do something short.
I have a natural tendency for yapping.
So sorry about that. People that think I don't talk,
I talk. People that think I talk, I
don't talk. So, yeah, oftentimes you're
wrong. And I, I got this idea from the
(03:16):
book I read in, most of my ideasare actually also from books
I've, I've, I've read or like things I've read.
And then like, like half of the other half, I guess is from like
experiences. So I've been reading this book
for the past, I think four or five months now, since like May,
June, July, another 10. So it's how to make friends and
(03:37):
influence people by the carnage or carnage.
I'm sorry you so there's this there's this idea and like, like
how to move friends. I guess that's a physical that's
a basic idea is admitting that you can be wrong and it's
possible that you are actually wrong.
So I'm trying to trying to discuss the people or just
(04:01):
having discussions with people. And then you're, you're stating
your opinion and, and, and you just, you just want to make it
clear or like just to disarm people.
So I think I'm getting ahead of myself here.
I'm just getting to the script I've written, right.
So we do, I work with, you know,we also have discussions like
important things, you know, likeas a software engineer, as a
(04:22):
founding engineer, I have like meetings.
And these are not just regular social engines.
OK, OK, this is your task, This is your task.
And these are like high level meetings where we discuss like
the, the system infrastructure, like system design, how this
should be handled, how this should be handled, how this
should be handled. And you know what they normally
(04:42):
you could just sit down and observe in this kind of meeting,
they discusses, discusses, take some notes, you know, OK, this
is what I'm going to do for the week.
This is what I'm going to do forXXX amount of time.
So I'm going to do for this. I'm going to, for that.
But like in, in the, in the kindof rules that I'm doing, there's
really, we can't really just sitdown because like that
discussing there's costing is a certain system design and
(05:02):
they're like, like JB or like, what do you think about it?
And I mean, I guess I kind of belike, yeah, yeah, yeah.
You know, you have to have an opinion on it.
You have to have some knowledge on, on, on, on what they're
discussing about too. And if you have some knowledge
on what they're discussing about, you also need to have
opinions on what they're discussing about.
(05:23):
Like what attributes should we use for this well, hosting
platform? What, what route should we go
for onboarding this, this, this and that?
Or like, you know, just simple system, just system design
decisions that you have to make in in like a startup or like a
company or something. And when you have an opinion or
(05:43):
something, you know, you have anopinion.
You could be from knowledge, could be from experience, could
be from maybe you're just pickedup along the way or whatever.
Now, opinions are not the issue in in this case, like having an
opinion is fine. It depends on how you express
said or such opinion. Now before before me, me, before
I read the book, you know, like you read books to learn, I
(06:05):
guess. So before I read the book, I, I,
I used to, you know, I used to be kind of rash in, in a sense
of way. But now after I've read a book,
if I'm, if I'm trying to expressan opinion, a strong opinion, a
weak opinion, an opinion. Either way, if I'm going to
express an opinion, I, I see it as OK, you, I, you first, you
(06:27):
first want to disarm the people that might have opinions on your
opinion, like you have like counter opinions or like just
people that I, you're trying to like discuss with.
So you don't want them to be open fits and like what this guy
saying, you know, you want to dosomething.
And I, I feel sometimes I guess, but then like this is all about
(06:47):
the learning process, all about just trying your best and trying
your best and trying your best. So you want you want to just in
a sense of way like, OK, I am often wrong.
I am, I am I might be wrong. Like you won't start your
conversation with I might be wrong, I'm often wrong.
And if I am wrong, I want to be corrected and I want to be put
(07:08):
right. And then you now see your
opinion that OK, OK, OK, so let me give an example now that is
wasn't about what that happens. Should we use like or how should
we scale the system? Should we scale it very
physically or horizontally? You know, I'm like, OK, I think
we should scale the, the system horizontally.
You know, I don't want to get into the technical terms and I'm
(07:30):
like this opinion or I'll give an example now, like I'm
obviously wrong and I may be wrong on this.
You know, I'm obviously wrong onthis.
And if I'm wrong, I, I just wantto be corrected.
You know, I just want somebody to just tell me how we should
actually work. And then I feel that instead of
scaling vertically, you know, buying more compute, we could
(07:52):
just scale horizontally, you know, making the computer we
have, you know, just more effective.
You get so and then and and you state your opinion like that.
And then people that people thathave more knowledge in that
like, OK, OK, he has already some he said that he might be
wrong. And oftentimes it's actually
wrong. I mean, I mean, I'm assistance
that don't make sense oftentimes, you know, and that's
(08:14):
fine, you know, but I just want to say my opinion and if if I'm
if I am wrong, you know, just just keep me on the right part
here. So that's, that's something that
I've been doing in my day today.And I sometimes I, I, I often
feel like this night I had a discussion, we have like a team
discussion and I was trying to impose my opinion, which I
shouldn't have. And then when I look back, I'm
like, OK, next time I should I just say that, OK, oftentimes
(08:37):
I'm wrong, you know, stuff like that.
And I might have something on who have had like a little back
and forth. So I guess it's just, it's just
something, something to note. And I'm just like, I'm just like
a quick summary here. You have opinions.
Everybody has opinions. You know, you don't want to be
that MPC that doesn't that just follows the crowd, I guess.
(08:57):
So we all have opinions and youropinions go as far as you
express them. You know, you can see, oh, I
don't like this because this is a.
And then the person that is listening like, OK, yeah.
But then like they don't really take your opinion to heart.
But when you do some said personand say that, OK, this opinion,
I'm stating I'm often wrong, this opinion might be wrong.
(09:19):
And if I'm wrong, you know, I, Iwould just like to know the
truth or like just have more knowledge on it.
I would just like you to, to tell me or like put you on the
right part, you know, And that person it takes it takes it
takes it takes it down and notesreally persons like, OK, I'm not
trying to attack you. I'm trying to like just guide
you and it makes the conversation a lot friendlier.
So I guess you just something tonote, just something that's just
(09:40):
a very a very small idea for just it's the interaction of the
people workplace, you know, justfriends, you know, stuff like
that. So yeah, I think that's it.
Just want to keep you short, keep you simple and I'll see you
guys in the next one please.
