He is a 2012 graduate of Mount St. Mary's University with an MA in Philosophical Studies. He studied Nuclear War Strategy in the PhD program at Kings College London. He earned a certificate in Strategic Defense Strategy from the US Army War College in 2020, and is an Intelligence Officer in the US Naval Reserve.
