The "Life After Stroke" podcast is back with a new episodes!
In this episode of "Life After Stroke", host Christopher Ewing launches a special 3-part series called "Stroke 101", where he interviews doctors, therapists and more, who take us through the entire journey of stroke; from its initial onset, to what someone can do to best recover from a stroke. If you have had a stroke, or you know someone who has, this special series of episodes will try to answer any questions that you may have about stroke and how to move forward towards recovery.
In today's episode of "Life After Stroke", we speak with Dr. Robert Darflinger, a neurointerventional surgeon who specializes in stroke. He will explain to us exactly what happens in the brain when someone is having a stroke, as well as some of the techniques surgeons use everyday to help save the life of someone who is having a stroke. Other topics covered in this special "Stroke 101" series include: what happens when a stroke survivor is sent to a rehab hospital, what to expect when a stroke survivor is finally released from the hospital and sent home, and more. This is a very informative series that you won't want to miss!
