From 20 pints a day to sober, Harrison (also known as the Fell Foodie) shares his story of learning to better manage mental health through the outdoors. Harrison previously joined us on a Windermere Weekend event. For him, depression set in during puberty and he found alcohol was a way of dealing with this, until that fairly quickly became a problem in itself also. We chat about with Harrison about his brave recovery from alcohol addiction, his ongoing management of his mental health, and how he uses the outdoors to manage some of the peaks and troughs. He has since cooked on a hillside for Dame Mary Berry and now has his own book out called Cook Out.
