Many times we think punishment comes from a parent, teacher, coach etc.  But what if we are the punisher in our story?

It seems so crazy to think that we would self-punish.  Why?

Our identity of being a hardaholic reigns true.  Who would we be if we didn’t hustle, push, work harder and do more at the expense of overwhelming our self?  Perhaps it’s easier to punish our self than to feel the guilt that may surface because we let someone down.  Let’s not forget about the disappointment database that is quick to surface.

What if we’ve gotten it wrong?  What if it’s about having a healer in our story vs. a punisher?

The inner self-discovery and self-mastery work requires you to be the healer in your story.

Would you be opposed to going out to recess with the healer while the punisher stands against the wall?
