In 2016, RJ Spina became permanently paralyzed from the chest down requiring emergency life-saving surgery.
RJ was deathly ill with a rare staph-infection that compressed his spinal cord. He was also diagnosed with type 1 diabetes, hypothyroidism, autoimmune disease, autonomic dysreflexia, and suffered from life-threatening complications due to his catastrophic spinal injury. Essentially his body was destroyed and beyond repair.
RJ spent roughly 3 months in a hospital/rehab facility being inundated with antibiotics, drugs, painkillers and rudimentary physical therapy.
He was given zero chance of ever walking again and was told he would need medications for the rest of his life.
But today, he is no longer paralyzed. In fact, within the first 100 days after emergency surgery, He walked unassisted – just as he predicted in the ICU.
His diagnosed illnesses and diseases have been resolved, even the mystery lethal infection that months of powerful antibiotics could not cure.
