This recording of Winter Beach Fort Tilden, NY was done using Ambisonic technologies to simulate a 3 Dimensional environment.  While this recording sounds great in stereo its best enjoyed with headphones.

This recoding was made using a technology called binaural recording.  It sonically simulates a 3 dimensional environment without the listener having to purchase special equipment.  While it's best to listen to this kind of recording with headphones anything stereo is perfectly acceptable.
