In the Ninth Revelation, Julian of Norwich hears Christ ask her if she is "well satisfied" that he suffered and died for her on the cross. She stutters her great thanks and Christ responds: "If thou art satisfied, I am satisfied." This astonishing Revelation gives a completely new meaning to the medieval theology of redemption.
