We’re back with the start of Riverdale season 4! We open on the memorial episode for Luke Perry before getting into the real start of the season. Turns out it’s fairly normal by Riverdale standards? We discuss Cheryl and Jason, the introduction of Stone Wall Prep, Reggie’s abuse, and Betty working with the FBI.

It’s the end of Part 2 and Satan comes to Earth! Unfortunately it ends up being not super exciting. We discuss how great Luke Cook is, the unused potential of the trickster devil, Nicks betrayal and redemption and Lilith’s upgrade. We also talk about the Lord of the Rings.

We’re almost at the end of Part 2 as Sabrina gets godlike powers and sends herself crashing back down to earth. We discuss the Phoenix parallels (both the mythical being and X-men character), Nick being down bad, the under explored potential of mortals living with witches, the hierarchy of the witch world, Hilda’s (literal) body count and the mandrakes embodiment of Sabrina.

We hit some low points this week as Riverdale picks up from a midseason break and starts spinning its wheels. We discuss the long awaited bear attack, the increased separation between our main characters, Archie refusing to learn the right lessons, Jughead crossing lines and scolding the serpents, Betty living through hell (but trying her best to change it), and Veronica and Reggie's romantic pairing.

It’s good to be back in Riverdale! We cover Archie’s trial and subsequent jailing at the super max juvenile prison. We also discuss the supposed accuracy of juvenile court, Alice’s turn into the crunchy movement, FPs slutty little glasses, Griffins and Gargoyles, and how everyone’s shirt is constantly popping off.
