What's left to be said that hasn't been said already?  In a nutshell

  • Kendrick dissed J. Cole and Drake (among others) on the song "Like That" by Future feat. Metro Boomin.
  • It's believed to be in response to J. Cole calling himself, Drake, and Kendrick the "Big Three" of rap in the song "First Person Shooter."
  • J. Cole caped back with the track, "7 Minute Drill," on his new album.
  • The, shocking everyone, J. Cole apologized for response two days later at his festival, citing that it grieved his spirit and was a stark contradiction of who he grew to be.

Many fans praised J. Cole's maturity and humility while other fans ignorantly clowned him as weak and claiming the move as "not part of the rap game".

As of this post, Kendrick Lamar has not responded.
