Austin Reed was born in Asheville, North Carolina, but was raised primarily in Portland, Oregon. Austin caught the broadcasting bug early. He started as a junior reporter for KPTV Channel 12, in Portland. During high school, he was student body president and even started a video production class. By 17, Austin was hired on as a full-time reporter, again for KPTV. Over the years, Austin has anchored, reported, and produced for dozens of stations, from NBC News in Albuquerque to CBS News, in West Virginia. Life wasn't exactly a cakewalk. Austin was diagnosed with cystic fibrosis at age 3. Austin has also overcome other challenges, from mental health to substance abuse, but thanks to hard work and dedication, Austin celebrated 18 months of continuous sobriety. Today, Austin owns a network on ROKU and Amazon Fire TV and is the executive News Director and main anchor for KMSG-TV MY53, in Fresno and Bakersfield. Austin has twin daughters, two dogs, and one cat. Austin wants to share his own story in hopes that it will have some kind of impact on others and help them change their lives for the better.  Do you have a Life Struggle to share?
