So here we are.
Welcome back.
I haven't did an episode in along time.
It's Friday night.
I just had dinner with mymother at Legends, which is like

the best place in Richmond toget a burger, so I just thought
I would come up here and drop apodcast.
Haven't talked in a while.
Probably haven't talked sincemy trip to Los Angeles.
I went to VCon 2024, which isGary Vaynerchuk's conference.

(00:43):
He has every year.
2024, which is GaryVaynerchuk's conference he has
every year.
And it was good it was.
It was nice to get outside oftown and be around some major
influencers, major entrepreneurs, marketers.
There were models, musicians,artists, it and uh.

I got to hear a lot of greatinspirational stories.
Um, one that really stuck outwas Howie Mandel, when he uh
talked about um, never say no.
That, uh.
The word nothing begins with noand no nothing.
Uh, never do nothing.

(01:25):
So he said, even if you have abad experience, you take on a
client that's just like horribleto work with.
It still provides wisdom.
So that experience still givesyou some insight, provides
wisdom, um, and and sets you ontrack for the next time.

So, uh, it was really cool.
And Nick Cannon, he was thereum, pretty inspirational, he
wears a lot of different hats.
Um, I finally got to see Gary V.
I went for like one day oh, okay, I got out there Friday.
Like one day, okay, I got outthere Friday.
I stayed Friday night.
When I got out there, though,my hotel East Central or Central

Hotel was right downtown and itwas just right across the
street from Peacock Theater,which is where VConn was this
year.
One of the buildings that wasthe main building.
So I got there Friday night.
I walked around seeing whereall the vendors were, kind of
see, like where you enter,everything else.

(02:32):
And then Saturday is when Iwent to listen to Gary Vee
everybody it was cool.
Um, not a whole lot going on,not like lucas oil was last year
.
Uh, vcon 2023 right here inindiana, uh, lucas oil it was.

(02:52):
It was better, it was set upbetter, um, wasn't as many like
checkpoints and everything else.
So, um, so I am likeanticipating, um the
announcement to where vCon 2025will be.
I think it'll be like an everyyear thing, because I obviously
do social media work and digitalmarketing, multimedia, so it's

my thing, right, it's verybeneficial for me to go to these
because I can bring that back,bring back those skills, bring
back the inspiration and thenset the world on fire on social
media.
So I can't wait to see where itis next year.
But yeah, it was a good time.

(03:36):
La was different.
I've never been to LA.
I literally like, soon as I gotto the airport I had a Lyft
pick me up to take me to myhotel and I look around and me
being me you know, I neverreally get out of Indiana a
whole lot.
I'm just like staring at thepalm trees and like, oh, these
are really cool.

But yeah, I got, and I think myfavorite part is I got to see
Ashley Graham.
She is fire.
So.
But they all have great storiesand there are stories, like you
know, on social media, in theentertainment business, in the

entertainment world, all you seeis like the glory right.
You don't know what they wentthrough to get there, you don't
know how they were raised, youdon't know if it was
generational wealth, if theyactually earned it.
You just don't know.
So it's just really good tokind of go to these and hear

everything that has unfolded toget some of these people to
where they're at today.
So it's very inspirational andyou know, you realize, like I
have no fucking excuse, like youknow some of them have had it a
lot harder than I ever have.
So I use that, you know, tofeel my fire and, uh, it's great
