(00:00):
Welcome to Life Gloss, a beautypodcast for sassy and seasoned
women who have lived life andhave a drawer full of lip gloss
to prefer.

Audio Only - All Partic (00:09):
Hilary, you know, there's really no
reason for you to get so dressedup for these podcasts.
I thought we were going to keepit really like low key.
I know.
I really need to start comingcamera ready to these things.
This is, this is my second time, but I figure we're all friends
here, right?

(00:30):
And the title of this episode isthe naked truth.
We're talking about body and inall fairness, it's still morning
for me.
So I've had a full morning hike, needed to shower, but we're
talking about what does it meanto be naked at this age?

(00:51):
And we're approaching theholidays where we're going to be
showing more skin.
We shower differently.
We care for our bodiesdifferently.
And we see ourselvesdifferently.
So let's talk about it.
Yeah.
Yeah.
My favorite subject, gettingnaked.
Um, I'm the nudist of thisrelationship, by the way.

(01:12):
That's true.
That's true.
That's true.
Um, you know, it's funny.
I actually was, shopping for abirthday gift yesterday.
And, um, I came across anotherlip gloss, yet another lip
gloss.
But speaking of nudes, thereason why I bring it up.
Is no, I don't need a lip glossintervention, but I sort of do,

(01:34):
but it's a really beautifulnude.
I just picked up and it's a newproduct.
It's the Hermes lip oils, lipcare oils.
Okay.
So it's a treatment gloss hybrid60 lippy that, um, I just wanted
to show because I have to say,you know, it is a really

(01:56):
beautiful shade.
It's um, rose cola.
Okay.
And I'm just really intrigued bythese hybrids.
It's a oil and a gloss.
And I've been so disappointed inthe past.
With a lot of these oils, and Ithink you and I have talked
about this, you put them on andthey feel like nothing.

(02:16):
They look like nothing and theyare nothing because they last
for nothing.
So the lovely girl at, uh, theHermes boutique said to me, no,
this one is different.
It's pigmented.
It's super healing.
My lips have never felt better.
It lasts long and you can feelit because I think we've talked.

(02:37):
I really like a super tacky, unctuous, rich gloss.
Not everybody does.
So if you don't like that, youknow, this is skinny.
This could be good for you.
So I'm going to put it on aswe're talking, see if I can see,
um, the color is a beautiful, you know, we say the word nude

(03:03):
and, well, obviously we got alittle too frisky for zoom and
we were kicked off.
I, wow.
Apparently a little too nude forthem.
Um, so you can see.
The color.
is just a really beautiful, noshimmer, like a really pretty

(03:30):
nude.
That's pretty.
And that has, that has a littlemore rose than I'm used to
seeing you in.
Yeah, it does, but it's notpink.
Yeah, it's not brown.
It's not pink.
It's not taupe.
It's like just a, I don't know.
It's a good color Hermes.
Okay.
And I have to tell you.

(03:52):
It feels, it's not sticky, butit's there.
So it meets my needs for being aproduct that actually feels like
something.
It's super hydrating.
I wore it all day yesterday.
I got so many compliments and itfeels amazing.
I have to tell you.

(04:13):
This is a keeper.
We've been hard on our miss.
So this is good.
It's I have to tell you, I,well, you know, I love their
nail polishes and now I like thelips.
Um, some of the stuff I don'tlove, and obviously the pricing
is a whole other situation, butI really feel like I'm not mad

(04:34):
at what we spent for this gloss.
So this stays in the, I love it.
And I want to try the othershades.
There's only five shades.
And it's just, I don't know.
This is something I could justput on with, I mean, obviously I
don't really have much makeup ontoday.
So shocking.
Um, but this is something youcould just like put on and just
like run out the door and you'recompletely fine.

(04:57):
So pretty good nude job.
Good, good thing.
You could be naked in this glossand look good.
And, uh, you could be fullyclothed and toss it on and go,
but highly recommend.
Good job, Ernest.
We're watching you very closely, and I love it.
Mm hmm.
It's a win.

(05:18):
Okay.
I love it.
Yeah, I thought you'd like it.
It would look great on you.
I'm always looking for a goodwould look good in it.
Mm hmm.
I'm always looking for a goodnude.
Especially since I might begoing into doing, you know, the
more of a smokey eye this seasonhere and there.
We'll see.
So that would call for a nudelip.
So yeah, I'm on the hunt for anude, but there's a really

(05:42):
pretty, I thought of you becausethere's also a really beautiful,
like a nude peachy coral.
Oh, that was very Hillary.
Ooh, that's more of my jam.
I mean, anytime I can get you tospend 60 bucks on a gloss, you
know, I'm going to do it.
I know.
We are, by the way, very goodand bad influences on each

(06:03):
other.
Pretty bad, I'm gonna pick thatup already.
So, let's talk about beingnaked.
You know, we talked earlierabout, um, Oh, God, wait a
minute.
Before I forget, we're talkingabout all this.
Have you seen The Substance yet?
Speaking of aging and nude andbodies, it's the new Demi Moore

(06:23):
film.
Oh, no! About a woman aging.
Uh, Dennis Quaid.
It's very controversial.
It's like really gory.
And it's all about aging.
The body.
And so I don't know if any ofour listeners have, have seen it
yet.
I'm dying to go.
Okay.
I love anything she's in.

(06:43):
And I think, you know, she's 60and let's face it.
I mean, come on, she looksamazing.
Um, and, um, Yeah, I'm dying tosee it.
So if anyone has seen it, pleaseInstagram, hit me up in the, in
the messages and, Let me knowbecause as we're talking about
the body today, it was the firstthing I thought of.

(07:05):
I thought, Oh, this new movie issupposed to be really good about
aging in the body.
So our timing's kind of good.
Um, right.
Talking about this today.
So yeah, your favorite topic.
I had to strong arm Susan intothis.
Look at her face.
She's like, Oh, Hillary, I'mtrying to do this episode for a
while.
I have so much skin.

(07:27):
I'm not a brood.
Let me just put it out there.
I'm a very out there person.
I love my body.
I'm happy.
I look great.
If I'd like to say so myself, Ifeel really good, but yeah, no,
definitely.
I, I, I, I'm also on a littlebit older than you.
So I've noticed a lot morechanges in the past couple of

(07:51):
years.
It was almost like, I feel like.
After 55, things definitelystart to change and you can go
in there kicking and screamingall you want.
But I do think, as we go intothis episode, we preface with
whatever your version of yourbody is, that's your perfect
body.

(08:11):
If you work hard at it, if youeat right, exercise, meditate,
sleep, you know, hit all thehorsemen, hit all the boxes, as
Dr.
Peter Atiyah says, then good foryou.
You are taking care of yourbeautiful, precious vessel, as
we all should be.
Um, but as we do get older, there comes that balance of

(08:34):
acceptance versus going down inflames.
And that is a tightrope.
I am constantly walking.
Uh, we talked about this in ourlast episode, things we're mad
at, things we're getting, tryingto get comfortable with on this
aging journey.
But I am standing by the factthat this is a privilege.
I'm happy to be here and I'mhappy to be healthy.
That being said, we have someproducts, tips, and tricks,

(08:58):
Hilary especially, to really, coming from an esthetician's
point of view, to keep your bodymaintained.
Much like you take your car into get the oil changed and to
get it tuned up.
I think it's the same thing withthe body.
Do you agree?
Yes, it's the same thing.
And also, you know, we talkabout the skin on our face, our
neck, maybe our decollete, butwe don't talk about the fact

(09:21):
that the rest of our body isskin as well.
And.
Treating your body like youtreat your face is going to be
beneficial for a few differentreasons.
And a lot of them have to dowith systemic health.
So we're not just being vainhere.
We are absolutely walking thattightrope.
I'm going to share some photoswith you guys in a few moments

(09:42):
that I received yesterday aftergetting back from the
rheumatologist that blew mymind.
So I thought they were nakedpictures.
No, no, no, no, no.
All of a sudden our listenersare like, photos?
What?
Photos?
No, but it's going to be fun, soyou guys have to stay for this.
Um, but what we're going to betalking about and touching on

(10:03):
today are things that are goingto make you feel better.
They're going to make yourjoints feel better.
It's going to make your bodyfeel better because when you
incorporate lymphatic drainage, dry brushing, lymphatic massage
when you're applying things, andwhen you're applying things to
your skin that don't disruptyour endocrine system, because

(10:24):
we're balancing that verycarefully right now, you can
find more comfort in your body.
And you can feel better in theskin that you're in right now.
So this is not just a vanityepisode.
Yes.
We're going to talk about thefact that we replenish
differently than we did decadesago.
We're going into the holidays.
We're going to be showing alittle bit more, but above all

(10:47):
else, I find that using thelittle tools like My dry brushes
before I shower.
I have two so I can do it reallyquick.
Get in and get out.
My skin feels smoother.
I don't get those funny drypatches or rashy areas because I
was getting weird bumpy areasthat were strained.

(11:07):
I also find my circulationsbetter.
And when you improve yourlymphatic system and your
circulation, Remember, those aretied to your immune system, so
you're able to fight.
We got cold season, flu seasoncoming up.
Who would ever think thatsomething as simple as dry
brushing can actually supportyour immune system?

(11:31):
And you know, And you don't haveto spend a lot of money.
This one is from Whole Foods.
You know, I pick up these everyfew months cause there's really
no way to wash these.
Um, so I shake mine out and thenI, I pick up one every few
months, but really inexpensiveat Whole Foods.
So there's dry brushes there.
You don't have to go and orderan expensive one.

(11:52):
This one was a gift from myfriend, Natasha.
She gave me this one and I loveit.
Cause it's got this littlemassage and this long and I can
get my back.
I don't know where she got thisone.
Um, you know, they'reeverywhere, right?
They're everywhere.
And you don't have to get allcrazy with things.
I mean, you know, you know how Iam about symmetry and matching.

(12:13):
So if I can deal with twodifferent dry brushes, so can
you.
It's like, you know, you know, Iwant them to match.
But.
It's not that important.
But one thing that we'll, I'lltell people is that when you're
dry brushing, start at the palmsof your hands, start at the
palms of your feet, always brushupward in very short, light

(12:34):
motions towards your heart.
So you're going to come downtowards your heart, upwards
towards your heart, short, gentle motions because your
lymphatic system, it's a one waystreet and it all goes to your
heart.
So you're moving theinterstitial system.
fluid.
So if you're bloated, if you'rejust feeling, it's going to help

(12:56):
move everything.
And that's your body's, um,housekeeper, your lymphatic
system is the housekeeper, yourlymph nodes are the waste
management centers.
Keep everything going.
I prefer dry brushing personallyin the morning because it really
like revived, gets me going.
If I dry brush before night, sometimes I'll sleep better, but

(13:17):
sometimes I'm like, Whoa, no, Ihad to give you.
Yeah.
And I do it really fast.
I mean, so it, it, it, it, itreally energizes me too.
I don't think it's something Iwould do before bed, but maybe
some people do.
Um, But you always taught me,you know, upwards motions
towards the heart.
And I always remember thatbecause I always think, Oh, I

(13:38):
love myself.
I love getting my little morningto make me feel good as I'm
looking in the mirror going, hate myself, you know, instead I
think of myself and I worktowards my heart.
And, uh, that's how I rememberthat little trick.
You know, that's a good one.
Yeah.
Because it's like the heartcenter, the love, all of that.
And you know, you can find allthese kinds of little do

(14:00):
daddies.
I mean, I think this is like, you know, bless the woman that
started this company.
She's selling PVC pipe for aninsane amount of money, but you
can also, but they work, they dowork if you have tight joints.
And if fascia is problematic foryou, it can make such a big
difference.
So You can manipulate yourfascia in so many different

(14:23):
ways.
I even, I really love, this islike a big body gua sha.
Lots and lots of ways to do it.
You don't have to spend a lot ofmoney, um, but it can help to
relieve some chronic pain in thebody.
So, And then, you know, any sortof an oil I've been trying

(14:44):
lately, castor oil, I put itinto a pump.
I think I'm like the last personon the planet that finally broke
down.
Cause I've used all the fancyoils forever, but I thought, you
know, I'm going to give castoroil a shot.
I mix it sometimes with, um,olive oil, different things, but
I massage.

(15:04):
I do a lot of my massage with,um, Oil or I'll even do the
fascia blasting if I'm in theshower or the tub with my body
soap because then it's easy.
It's quick.
I'm not greasy.
Um, but you know, the real heroand we're going to have her on

(15:25):
guys.
If you take anything away fromthis episode.
Oh, okay.
Let's give a moment.
I'm going to actually, I have toput a little on with you, Hill.
And do this, but, um, essentialor essential by Adele is a body
lotion that Hillary turned me onto, and we are having her on

(15:50):
soon as a guest.
And she is a hand and body modelwho created the most.
Beautiful, rich hand and body.
You know, do you want to call ita lotion because it's in this
packaging?

(16:10):
Okay, but I got news for you andmaybe I'll fight her on this.
I really feel like it's a cream.
That goes on like a lotion.
This is truly luxury in a bottleand the smell, we're gonna, I'll
save some of my comments on thatbecause I have a fun story to

(16:31):
tell her, but the scent in this.
is just it smells like you areat a spa in Italy or Napa.
It she nailed it on the aromafor people that don't like
fragrance.
I'm telling you, I have a wholefamily that lives with me that

(16:51):
does not care for fragrance andbelieve me.
This is the only one that theyever say, Mom, you smell so
good.
Like, and it's natural.
It's just the ingredient.
I'll read a few things in here.
So aloe is the base withgrapeseed oil.
Um, olive fruit oil.
We have some shea butter inhere.

(17:12):
Shea butter.
Yep.
But then we get reallyinteresting.
So she has the coffee, um, orArabica.
Yes.
So the coffee we have performthis raspberry, rosemary,
sunflower.
We have geranium, we havefrankincense.
Well, she'll tell us too, wehave on as a guest hill, like

(17:32):
what everything does.
Mm-Hmm.
But I'm telling you, you put iton.
And it goes on and it leavesyour skin glowing with
absolutely no residue at all.
And we're going to be doing thisagain when she's on because My
mom swears that it's firmed herbody.
It's very firming.

(17:52):
It's helped with dark spots onher legs.
Let me just show the people, thewoman we're talking about here,
meaning my mother.
Yeah, because this woman doesnot mess around when it comes to
body care.
Like my mom was using thebiotherm, like the re the whole
reason I love biotherm things.
She had the biotherm shower inthe eighties.

(18:17):
Biotherm was huge.
Brand out of France.
There she is.
There she is.
So I was getting back from therheumatologist yesterday and my
mom sends me a text with thesephotos and she's like Oh, we
just had a little impromptuphoto shoot over the weekend.
Yes.
There is a story Ha ha ha momand a little miniskirt.

(18:40):
Do you see the feathers?
She's that's what 70 looks likepeople.
I mean, well, if 70 looks likethat, then I can't wait for my
next birthday.
Hurry up and let's go.
She looks absolutely.
She loves Adele.
Not only is she beautiful onthe, on the.
outside.

(19:00):
She is beautiful on the inside, but yes, you know what I love
about your mom more thananything is just, I mean, she
walks the walk and talks thetalk.
She puts in the time to look theway that she does, but she just,
in those pictures, the con, youknow, we talked about this in
our last episode, she radiatesthat confidence.

(19:21):
Like she knows who she is.
Yeah.
You know, and she's proud of itand she's proud of her age and
she looks amazing.
And, you know, it's, it's abeautiful thing to see someone
who she never lies about herage.
She's not, you know, she tellsthe truth.
She lives it.
So she's a real role model ofhow to be comfortable in your

(19:43):
own skin, how to be comfortablein your own skin.
And a lot of that was born frommy grandmother getting sick.
When she was quite young andthen living in pain and
suffering and not feeling good.
And my mom decided, you knowwhat?
I'm, I don't care if I'm nothere for a super long time.

(20:04):
I'm not going to be in pain andagony and misery.
And I'm going to start with dietand exercise.
And taking care of myselfbecause I want to be in the best
vessel that I can for as long asI'm here.
So while things like this mightlook like, Oh, it's all vanity
and it's all this.
It's really grounded in.
I want to be able to play withmy grandchildren.

(20:25):
I want to feel good.
And, you know, arthritis, thingslike that are prevalent in our
family.
Heart disease, arthritis, highblood pressure.
We've got the whole laundry listand she's like, what?
I'm not gonna go down sick andmiserable.
That's right.
There you go.
I see her.
I hear her.
And that's one thing that I hopeour listeners take away from

(20:47):
this episode, you know, andtalking about this naked truth.
It's not just about confidenceand feeling good in your body,
whatever.
It's really.
What you put in is equally asimportant as what you put on
your body.
Your skin is your largest organ.
Take care of it with the samediligence that you do your
heart, your lungs, every part ofyou.

(21:09):
And it's the, the amount.
and the degree to which our skinabsorbs and how deeply things
absorb.
For a very long time, becausethe FDA said that something is
called a drug the second it hitsyour bloodstream, skincare
companies have stopped testingto see how far their products

(21:30):
will penetrate.
They'll always talk aboutpenetration and Special
encapsulated peptides topenetrate to the dermis and la,
la, la, la, la, when they'retalking about building collagen
and building, you know, collagen, elastin, anti aging.
But what they don't talk aboutis that things go far deeper and
they do actually go into thebloodstream.

(21:52):
Cause at that point, thenthey're classified as drugs over
the counter.
They can't talk about it, buthere's the truth.
Anything that you put on yourskin is going to enter your
body.
Almost, almost, almost, almost, almost not anything, but many
things that you put on your skinwill be found in your
bloodstream.
And there are studies right nowabout Lycra and spandex having

(22:17):
Estrogen like mimicking factors.
So women that wear, you know, estrogen, I mean, that where
Lycra Spandex and especiallywork out in Lycra and Spandex
are suffering from hormonalestrogen, like imbalances, which
actually, and I don't know ifthis is scare tactic, but some

(22:39):
people were saying that it leadsto obesity.
I feel like that's a littlestrong.
I think someone's trying to sellme something.
Yeah.
The hormone disruptor is realand there is a reason you don't
want to wear plastic clothes.
Right.
So instead you want to fuel yourbody with good thing.

(23:02):
So.
Obviously, we love this lotion.
There's so many other creams andlotions.
I have 150 in my closet rightnow.
But something I really like todo, Hill, and I know you do too,
with the massage in the morning,um, and I like layering my
products.
Much like I like layering skincare on my face, I like layering
it on my body.
Um, I love, um, You know me, Inever met an oil that I don't

(23:25):
like.
Um, but I have my daily oils.
Um, I have a bunch of other onestoo up there, um, that I
absolutely love that are reallyinexpensive.
And then I have my fancier oils.
Um, I love, you know, I love thekids at Wonder Valley and I love
the Hinoki body oil.
This is incredible.
What's interesting about this isit is at a luxury price point,

(23:49):
but it has so many.
natural ingredients with theolive oil, et cetera.
Um, I love the fragrance of theHinoki.
It's so lovely.
It pairs really well and I loveto layer and I love to do, you
know, my oils and my creamstogether.
Um, and it depends.
Sometimes I'll do an oil firstand then lock it in.

(24:10):
Other times I'll put the lotionand I'll press on top some oil.
Just really depends how I feelthat day and how I want my skin
to glow and look.
Um, but if I want to get fancy.
I love my Frederic Malle CarnotFlower.
I often wear this as a perfumeoil.
Yes.
And literally just put it on asa perfume.
Again, these bottles for theprice they are, I gotta tell you

(24:34):
guys, they last.
I mean, a little goes a long waywith body oils.
So, Remember that when you'reusing body oil, a little goes a
long way, you'd be shocked howlittle you can use to cover your
whole body and with the luxurybody oils too.
So, you know, so many of us, youknow, Gen X, whatever.

(24:54):
So many of us, you know, we wereintroduced to body oils when it
was like Bath and Body Works orVictoria's Secret or whatever.
Yeah.
Oh yeah.
The body shop, those cheap, cheap oils.
And you did.
You needed a lot.
I mean, you would tear throughthose things like nothing, but
they were cheap oils.

(25:15):
It was mineral oil and luxuryoils, warm them up, rest them
in.
And they will melt and spreadinto your skin.
I mean, I think I've had, I'mnot joking.
I mean, this much I've used, Imean, this is like a month so
far.
I'm not lying.
Like, the stuff lasts.

(25:36):
I'm not saying, like, keep itforever because oils turn.
You have to be careful.
But, I mean, you can even, ifthey're really good natural
oils, you can even use them inyour hair.
So I'll put it in my body, myhair, yeah.
And then put it in my hair, youknow, it's so good.
And it really makes your hair, sometimes I'll do it with like,
you know, third or fourth dayhair or, you know, I wash my

(25:59):
hair like, my God, should Ireally admit how much I wash my
hair?
I wash my hair like twice amonth and I work out every day.
But I'm at that age where myhair just doesn't, I don't even,
I'll sweat a lot and it drieslike and it actually looks
better the next day.
I don't wash my hair a lot andI'm telling you it works better

(26:21):
when I don't.
Do you wear a hat when you workout?
No.
You do, right?
I'll wear a baseball cap when Igo on my walks every day to
cover for the sun.
Not that we have any sun here,um, but, uh, and I do wear
beanies we're going into mybeanie season.
You know, I love my beanies.
Your scalp doesn't sweat a wholelot.

(26:42):
No, it really doesn't.
See, I washed my hair abouttwice a week.
That's as much as I can go.
Because, well, I wear anumbrella when I hike because I'm
in California and I'm goinguphill.
Yeah, well, me too.
I mean, I'm on a huge trail thatis like this.
So I don't do flat, but I'lltell you, I sweat, but my scalp

(27:05):
doesn't sweat my palms and my,oh my God, why are we even
talking about this?
But my palms and my feet and myscalp don't sweat.
Is that bad?
I don't know, but they reallydon't the rest of my body.
Sure.
I'll sweat.
Also, I, in the summer, I shouldpreface when it's really hot,
I'll wash my hair obviously oncea week or sometimes even more.
But as we get into the colderwinter months, I can go like 10

(27:29):
days.
Oh, that's so good.
I know.
And I think it, well, cause Imean, I highlight my hair.
So, you know, I really try to, Ipay a lot for my hair, so I try
to take really good care of it.
But.
We'll have a hair episode oneday.
We need to have, well, we needto have a hair episode.
We do.
We do.
I'm actually on, as you guys allknow, um, I'm having like this

(27:52):
whole dry hair episode season ofmy life where my hair is just
dry and I'm like, okay.
So don't wash it as much asyou're washing it.
I only wash it once a week.
Well, maybe you even need lessand it's and it's, it's easily
three inches damp after a hike.
So I have to be careful withanyway, whatever.
Um, we all anticipate our hairgetting drier.

(28:14):
It's been going on guys.
You're, you're trying to fire mybrand.
So stay tuned.
Oh, okay.
Yeah, we'll do a hair episode.
I will do a hair episode.
Stay tuned.
See juries out.
Okay.
Okay.
So listeners, if you have greatproducts for hydrating the hair,

(28:34):
I love Shu Uemura.
I'm not spending Shu Uemuraprices anymore.
I do.
I, you know, I'll tell you the, their camellia hair oil is truly
the best on the market.
Okay.
We'll, we'll save all this stufffor our hair episode.
I know.
This is what happens when youand I just get on here and start
talking beauty.
We'll, go from where like theADD of beauty will go from one

(28:58):
part of the body and topic toanother.
So staying on topic friends.
Um, and then I also, I, youknow, this is my summer lotion.
I've talked about it before inpast episodes, the Mario
Badescu, the summer shine.
If you want your skin to glowwith a little bit of shimmer,
this is incredible.
I'll use this in the winter too.
I love it.

(29:18):
Anytime I go out this, this is amust have lotion in your arsenal
of lotions because it has theshimmer in here and the
hydration in here isexceptional.
Um, I never purchased that.
Okay.
This is, I've used this for 30years.
Isn't that wild?
Wild.

(29:39):
This is the big size.
Cause I go through it so much.
You put this on, not only isyour skin, does your skin feel
amazing?
But the shimmer is so subtlethat your skin just looks like
it's glowing.
And anytime I wear this, I'mtelling you people compliment my
legs.
I put on my legs and it showstopping it's here.

(30:00):
I go good.
Summertime body lotion.
I'll put it, I'll put it in ourAmazon store.
Yeah.
Let's put it in the Amazon storebecause you can get it on
Amazon.
It's really inexpensive, butit's so good.
It's so good.
Yeah.
It's pageant.
Oh, no, you did not.
It's pageant.
No, Flamingo Fancy was pageant.

(30:22):
It's pageant.
Oh, no.
I'm telling you, that's going tostick.
My legs look pageant when I putit on.
Okay.
Here she is.
Miss America.
Oh my gosh, I love it.
I love it.
I'm putting on more lip oilbecause.
Because why not?

(30:43):
Because I can, and I just, ohgod, you guys, don't be mad at
me that you're all gonna wantthe, it's, yeah, okay, well,
everybody's for me, and yell atme about spending this much on a
lip oil, but, Ooh, it's reallygood.
Well, everybody's going to bemad at me for the next thing.

(31:04):
I'm going to say I have a littlechallenge.
I don't know who's going to bebrave enough to take it.
But the other thing that isfabulous for your body.
Is a cold plunge.
I know.
I know.
Um, I'm just saying, yeah,listen, I don't hate a cold

(31:26):
plunge.
I'm just not sure if cold plungeis, I mean, I think we should
preface with cold plunge feelsamazing and it's invigorating.
And I know so many friends thatare huge fans of it.
Check with your doctor.
That's all.
If you have any type of heartcondition, high blood pressure
issues, anything like that, check with your doctor before

(31:49):
you do extreme things likesauna, steam, and cold plunge.
If you get the clearance, Go forit because I love nothing more
than that cold plunge into asauna, into a cold plunge into a
sauna, but you just have to becareful and definitely check
with your doctor always.

(32:10):
But you can also shortcut a coldplunge by submerging your face
and your hands or your hands andfeet into an ice bath.
So if you can't do that, if youcan't do a whole cold plunge,
hands and feet.
Or face into like a big thingwith ice cubes and ice water Has

(32:33):
some of the same effects.
So there's I love doing my faceand I'll tell you why not
because okay I hate being coldand anyone who knows me knows I
hate being cold.
So i'm not a huge i'm I don't Idon't live for the cold plunge.
Okay.
I'm going to be honest because Ihate being cold, but I will do a
final cold blast in my shower atthe end.

(32:53):
It really is good for your skinand your hair.
And we all know that, but the,the face in the cold ice water.
Wow.
That is so effective forpuffiness.
Joan Crawford was right.
That cold plunge on the face.
I prefer that.
It just, I feel I get fastresults on my face.

(33:14):
Everything looks tight.
Everything looks fresh and I'mnot torturing myself.
Right.
Right.
Life's too short to like torturemyself.
