“Do Not Be Afraid”
Stated 110 times in Scripture.
God told JOSHUA to not be afraid.
“fear not, for I am with you;” - Isaiah 41:10
The angels told MARY to not be afraid.
“And the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.” - Luke 1:30
Jesus told his DISCIPLES to not be afraid.
“Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid..” - John 14:27
Ask: If I could do ANYTHING without FEAR, what would it be?
“17 By this is love perfected with us, so that we may have confidence for the day of judgment, because as He is so also are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.” - 1 John 4:17-18
There is NO FEAR of punishment in PERFECTED love.
Jesus calls God FATHER 165 times.
“Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” - Luke 23:34
“Father, into your hands I commit my spirit!” - Luke 23:46
“10 In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. 11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. 12 No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.” - 1 John 4:10-12
“19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.” - Matthew 28:19-20
