In this episode, Philip and Shawn Nelson discuss:

  • Resilience is essential for entrepreneurship
  • Vulnerability and humility strengthen leadership
  • Adaptability and long-term vision drive success
  • Continuous learning and purpose sustain growth

Lightbulb Moments:

  • Success rarely comes overnight. Businesses must endure challenges, learn from mistakes, and persist through long periods of uncertainty before they can thrive.
  • Leaders grow by sharing failures, learning from others, and balancing confidence with humility. Open, honest storytelling inspires teams and prevents blind spots caused by ego.
  • Entrepreneurs must navigate volatility, embrace change, and use first principles thinking to guide decisions. Patience paired with strategic foresight ensures opportunities are maximized.
  • Consistent self-reflection, reading, and intentional routines support personal growth. Purpose-driven leadership safeguards against purely profit-focused decisions and ensures long-term impact.

“Maintain top ambition with infinite patience.” - Shawn Nelson

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist

It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
