tips to help your small businessthrive.
Whether you're an entrepreneurjust starting out or a seasoned
business owner, this podcast isyour go-to source for success in

(00:21):
the small business world.
Let's get started to source forsuccess in the small business
world.
Let's get started.
Hello everyone, I want towelcome you back to another
episode of Light Up yourBusiness podcast.
Today I want to talk aboutdivine guidance and recognizing
when God is speaking to you.
I kind of want to interweavethis, because I did find an

(00:42):
article through Dave Ramsey'ssite and I'll kind of mention
that here.
In a minute I'm going to takesome of his information and pass
it on with you and then kind ofinterweave it with what I have.
So in this specific episode, wewant to delve into the profound
topic of how to recognizedivine guidance and understand
when God is communicating withyou, Whether it's through
intuition, signs or spiritualexperiences.

(01:05):
We will explore the variousways in which individuals can
discern the voice of God intheir lives.
This episode offers insightsand practical tips for
cultivating a deep connectionwith the divine and that to me
is God and how to navigateentrepreneurship with faith and
clarity.
I think, as a business owner,we definitely have many tough
decisions that we have to make, and it has moments where there's

(01:28):
doubt, and there's doubt in ourcapabilities.
Maybe we made a decision thatdidn't work out, or maybe a
mistake, and you know, I believeeverything happens for a reason
and I think it teaches ussomething, and sometimes I think
God sends us people orsituations to help us learn what
not to do in the future.
And it's all valuable, it's allhelpful information.

(01:51):
I believe that having aspiritual foundation can help
you grow your business faster, because you are in alignment
with what God's will is.
And as believers, we know thatit isn't all about the success
of just our business, but it'salso about glorifying God,
fulfilling his purpose, his will, through our business.
But it's also about glorifyingGod, fulfilling his purpose, his
will, through our business andthen, you know, being a
representation of Christ throughour business as far as to our

(02:12):
clients, to our employees, allthat kind of stuff.
So let's kind of just diveright into that.
So this article I found it wasDecember 12, 2023.
It was on Dave Ramsey's siteand it was under the heading of
trusting God.
So it starts out talking aboutlike we've all had issues,
whether it's your car notstarting issues at work, you
know, whatever and we just weinstantly have an issue and we

(02:34):
plow into it and we think, okay, let's call my dad to fix it,
let's call my friend to fix it.
The boss gives you somethingand you have no idea what he's
talking about and instead ofasking for help, we just try to
figure it out for ourselves.
And that's not how it has to be, because we don't have to
always try to solve everythingby ourselves.
We don't have to always try tofigure things out by ourselves.

(02:56):
We can ask God for help, and soit says in this article.
Usually it's less about feelinglike we have everything under
control and more because wesecretly fear that God doesn't.
We start thinking things likewell, maybe he needs my help,
maybe I won't like his plan thathe gives to me, maybe I can
come up with a better one, andwe try to almost outsmart God

(03:17):
and the real problem at the endof the day is we don't trust him
.
You know, I have someexperiences in my own life right
now that I'm struggling and I'mstruggling with trusting God.
No-transcript.

(03:50):
Whether it's in life orbusiness, it's important to seek
God's wisdom and guidance firstand always incorporate your
faith and his will into thedecisions and the strategies and
the places and the things thatyou're doing in your life.
So it says in this article whyis it so hard to trust God?
It says we aren't the firstones to struggle with trusting
God and we're obviously notgoing to be the last and I'm

(04:11):
sure this won't be the only timein my life that I struggle.
It says let go and think about, let's go back to, like the
Garden of Eden.
So it's saying in here for alittle history of when doubt
first entered into the picture.
So it says in Genesis, whenAdam and Eve were in a garden
minding their own business, theserpent came to them with
temptation.
And it says that the serpentwas more crafty than any of the

(04:34):
wild animals that the Lord, god,had created.
And he said to the woman didGod really say you must not eat
from any tree in the garden?
And the woman said to theserpent we may eat fruit from
the trees in the garden, but Goddid say you must not eat fruit
from the tree that is in themiddle of the garden.
You must not touch it or youwill die.
And then the serpent tried totrick her and said you will not

(04:55):
certainly die, for God knowsthat when you eat from it, your
eyes will be open and you willbe, like God, knowing good and
evil.
When the woman saw the fruit ofthe tree, that it was.
So if you look at the entirepassage as a sum, it basically
is Adam and Eve took mattersinto their own hands.

(05:20):
It's what many of us do everysingle day.
We doubt God's goodness, wedoubt what God's telling us and
we become overwhelmed with fearand anxiety and we try to take
matters into our own hands.
It's what many of us do everysingle day.
We doubt God's goodness, wedoubt what God's telling us and
we become overwhelmed with fearand anxiety and we try to take
matters into our own hands.
So the article talks about howdo you trust God?
So you want to hear good news.
It says we don't have to livelike that.
We can learn to trust God.
Think of a friend.

(05:41):
You trust someone you would letwatch your kids or share
something personal with.
Why do you trust them?
How did you learn to trust them?
Chances are, it's because oneof a few things you either know
them personally.
You know they're dependablebecause they've proven it.
You know they're there for you.
So you look at their trackrecord track records and you

(06:01):
look at their past and what havethey done and how have they
treated you and what did theyshow up for you?
Did they, you know, prove thatyou could be, you could put
trust into them or that youcould?
You know, trust that they haveyour best interest at heart and
in this case, with God, if Iguarantee, if you look back at
the times that you needed him,you struggled, you asked for
help.
He showed up.

(06:22):
We just sometimes push it andprolong it because we want to do
it our way.
So in this article I'm going tocontinue on the article path
for a minute before I continuewith my own notes.
It says in the article how doyou get to know God?
How do you get thisrelationship built?
Because religion is it's onething, that's rules and
regulations and all thesespecifics that a man put

(06:43):
together.
A relationship is different.
A relationship with God is youare connected to him through
your praying, through talking tohim, through reading his word,
and so one of the things on thislist is it says get to know God
personally.
The Bible talks about how muchGod desires a close personal
relationship with each of us.
He's not a distant God up inthe clouds just watching us spin

(07:03):
out of control and trying toorchestrate these scenes of bad
things to see if we do the rightthing.
That's not the God that weserve.
He pursues us, he loves us andhe wants us to know him.
He wants us to spend time withhim.
1 John or 1 John as some peoplesay 416, says and so we know and
rely on the love of God that hehas for us.

(07:24):
Romans 5, 8,.
But God demonstrates his ownlove for us in this.
While we were still sinners, christ died for us.
I mean, I think about people Ihave struggles with and you know
, sometimes I'm like I don'tlike this person.
I ain't dying for them.
Well, god loved you so much hedied for you.
We don't.
We live in a natural world.
God lives in a spiritual sense.

(07:45):
He does not live in a place ofjust the way we are.
Sometimes I don't think we evenfathom what he does for us how
much he loves us, because wecan't understand that kind of
love.
We live in this world of like, get even, and people hurt me and
I'm gonna hurt them back andall these things, and that is
not the way our heavenly fatheris.
First, john 3 1 says see whatgreat love the father has

(08:08):
lavished on us, that we shouldbe called children of god, and
that is what we are.
God loves you.
Do you hear me out there?
God loves you and he wants tospend time with you.
The more time you spend withhim, the more you get to know
him, and the more you get toknow him, the easier it is to
trust him in the times that youneed him.
Number two it says remember whenGod's been faithful.
This, to me, is huge because Ithink sometimes in life, when

(08:32):
things are rough and you knowthe wind's blowing and the
stress is happening and thingsare going wrong, I think we just
focus too much on the currentsituation and we forget about
all the times that you know wewere struggling and God came
through.
Our business was struggling, itpulled through.
You know, someone was sick inour family and they pulled
through, or whatever it is.
Relationships were fallingapart and somehow they pulled

(08:53):
through, and so you need to lookback at that.
So it says have you ever satdown and thought about
everything in your life thatyou've been thankful for?
If you have, then you know howpowerful it can be to remind
yourself of just how often Godcomes through for you and how
many blessings there are in yourlife.
If you haven't, you're missingout.
So it says take time toremember God's faithfulness in

(09:13):
the past.
That has helped us trust him,and he'll remain faithful in the
future, in the same way youbuild trust with a friend when
they keep showing up for youtime and time again.
Seeing how often God works foryou or works on your behalf is
how I should say that it's areminder that he will continue
to do that.
So take time to remember God'sfaithfulness.

(09:36):
Romans 3 through 4 says what ifsome were unfaithful?
Will their unfaithfulnessnullify God's faithfulness
faithful?
Will their unfaithfulnessnullify God's faithfulness?
Not at all.
Again and again, god shows upand shows us and reminds us that
what we do or don't do, eitherway, he's faithful.
We can depend on him.
Our God is a God who comesthrough for us, not every now

(09:58):
and then, every single time.
He doesn't come through for usbecause we deserve it or because
we're good.
No, he comes through for usbecause of who he is.
Remember when God's beenfaithful to you before and let
that build your confidence inhim.
We can trust God because he'sfaithful.
The third thing in this articleis how to read about God's I'm

(10:19):
sorry, read about how God feelsabout you.
Have you ever done somethingyou know was wrong and afterward
you thought to yourself why inthe world does God put up with
me?
Well, here's one thing Goddoesn't put up with us.
No, if you look at scripture, what you'll actually find is a
God who adores us, even when wefail.
So often we project on the Godhow we feel about ourselves
feelings of disappointment orfailure or doubt.

(10:40):
We let our past wounds how ourdad talked to us or how a
certain group of friends makesus feel or the way they treat us
and we let that shape how wefeel about God.
We expect that God feels thesame way about us.
So if you see God as some kindof judgmental dictator who's
looking down and waiting for youto mess up, then he'll

(11:00):
definitely be hard to trust him.
That's why you need to read andreread, and reread the Bible
and what God has to say, becausethe Bible is God's word.
He is talking directly to you.
So they have a few exampleshere from the Bible.
Isaiah 43, 1 says do not fear, for I have redeemed you, I have
summoned you by name.
You are mine, since you areprecious and honored in my sight

(11:21):
and because I love you.
Jeremiah 29, 11, which is myfavorite scripture, says for I
know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord.
Plans to prosper you and not toharm you.
Plans to give you hope and afuture.
I mean right there.
He says it plain as day I amnot here to harm you.
I am here to help you and giveyou hope, give you a future.
Zephaniah 3, 17 says for theLord, your God, is living among

(11:44):
you.
He is a mighty Savior.
He will take delight in youwith gladness.
With his love, he will calm allyour fears.
He will rejoice over you withjoyful songs.
God loves you, he's in yourcorner and he wants the very
best for you.
When you remember how he feelsabout you, it becomes a lot
easier to trust him and hisplans for you.
And then the last part of thisarticle, before I go into my

(12:05):
notes, says trusting God is anact and a practice.
So it says trust isn't athought or a feeling, it's a
practice.
You walk out in your daily lifeand it's a muscle that needs to
be exercised.
If it's a muscle you haven'tused much before, it's going to
be weak and wobbly at first.
That's okay.
Over time it will become easierto trust in God.

(12:26):
Just remember, the next timesomething goes wrong or you feel
like the rug has been pulledout from under you, you have a
choice.
You can panic, you can try tofix everything yourself, or you
can practice active trust bypausing, praying and seeking God
for the resolution before youmake your next move.
So again, that was an articlethat I read through Dave
Ramsey's website.

(12:47):
They have some really goodstuff on there, so I recommend
that you go check that out.
So now to the notes that I have.
Let's talk about inner voice.
So to find that inner voice ofGod, the voice where God talks
to you, you must set aside timeto get quiet.
You have to quiet your mind, listen to that still small voice

(13:08):
.
I mean the bible's clear.
He has a still small voice.
It says that right in the bible.
It can be easy to fall intoconfusion when we have the
external noise that influenceswhat we think, feel or do, as
well as who we think we shouldbe or who we should talk to.
I talked to someone recently andwe were talking about how we
get in our heads and like webuild up these stories about

(13:30):
these situations or these peopleand the people in our lives or
the experiences we're having, and we, you know, the devil will
kind of get in there and shakeit up and tell us that you know
we're no good, they're no good,they don't like us, you don't
like them, whatever.
And it gets these things builtup so large in our heads that we
can't even like figure out howto get through it.
And then you sit there and youtry to play all these ways of

(13:51):
how am I going to process this, how am I going to handle this?
And then you know whether youhave a meeting the next day or
conversation with a friend orwhatever, and you process these
things and then you think, oh,I'm going to be ready, I'm going
to be ready, I'm going to beready, which is a form of
control.
And then you get there and thenyou realize all the things you
prepared in your head or all thesituations you went over.
It doesn't happen at all likethat and you waste your time.

(14:16):
And so to combat this you needto find quiet space to listen to
God.
You have to go, you know, kindof whether it's meditation, just
quiet, calm sitting on you know, a bench, looking at the, the
mountains, whatever it is foryou that gets you calm and quiet
, that helps you kind of discernthat inner voice, the Holy
Spirit.
You know, if you have the HolySpirit inside of you, he leads
you and guides you.
I mean, the Bible talks aboutI've left a helper for you and

(14:36):
that's the Holy Spirit.
So remember, it's not anaudible voice, it's not going to
be like me talking to you rightnow.
It's just going to be thisfeeling inside of you that you
just know that.
You know that this is, this isnot you talking.
And sometimes I know it becausemy heart tells me one thing and
my head's like I don't want todo that.
And that's how I know likethat's the Holy Spirit, because
it's not my head telling me likejust go make up or go go do

(14:57):
this to please heart.
It connects with God's word.
It lines up with God's word,and I know that it's something I
need to do.
So, remember, when you taketime to get to know someone,
it's the same with thisintuition of God's voice.
You must learn what it feelsand sounds like, because you

(15:18):
practice and then you'll learn.
That's not an outside influence, that is God talking to me,
right?
That's the Holy Spirit.
Some people call it gut feeling.
I mean I just I have a gutfeeling.
I'm not supposed to do this.
Well, maybe that's God tellingyou that that's something you
shouldn't do.
Maybe you shouldn't go thatdirection.
Maybe you shouldn't buy thatthing.
Maybe you shouldn't yell atyour friend.
Maybe you shouldn't have thatconversation, whatever it is,
maybe you shouldn't do it.

(15:38):
Jennifer I'm going to mess thisperson's name up Rasyapi.
She has a quote that says, simply put, our inner voice is
our inner intelligence or innateintelligence.
It's like this inside.
Knowing of like this is notsmart.
Don't do it, even though, whether your flesh wants to do
it, your head wants to do it,whatever.

(16:03):
So when you begin to discernyour inner divine guidance, you
can take aligned actionsfollowing the nudges god is
telling you.
So, for example, if you have anemployee and they're having
some kind of issue and you'rehaving an interview with them,
and then you feel this nudgethat the person you're
interviewing or talking to youknow has this issue or it's.

(16:26):
You know, maybe let's turn thisaround even so.
Like, let's say, you'reinterviewing an employee and you
think, okay, well, on paperthey look good, and then inside
you have this nudge of like thiswould be a good fit, or maybe
you choose between twocandidates that would be a good
fit for the position and you'renot sure which way to go.
You know, sometimes paper isone thing, but when you sit down

(16:47):
and talk to the lord, he mighttell you there's something about
this person that feels off, that you don't, you don't
connect with you, don't like, orthere's something that kind of
creeps you out about that personor whatever.
Sometimes that's what thatinner spirit talking to you and
telling you that's this is notthe person, this is not the
person to work for you, this isnot the person to date, whatever
it is like, that is not theperson to work for you.
This is not the person to date.
Whatever it is like, that isnot the person.
So what are some techniques wecan use to tune into your

(17:09):
intuition and discern divineguidance.
So if you're, I have peopletell me like I don't know how to
do it, I can't do it, it's notworking, he's not talking to me.
If you're having troubleassessing God's voice or hearing
God's voice, a few techniquesthat I would offer to you is you
know, make listening to God apriority, kind of like what that
article was saying, like you'vegot to take time to listen to

(17:31):
God.
You can't have relationships ifyou don't talk to people, if
you don't take time to ask howthey're doing, if you don't take
time to ask what's going on orto have a conversation, then the
relationships get destroyedbecause you won't discuss stuff
right.
Ships get destroyed because youwon't discuss stuff right.
So take time to listen.
We live in a culture that'salways on the move and if you're
going to seek guidance from theLord, we must seek time each
day to be quiet and still.

(17:52):
Psalms 46, 10 says be still andknow that I am God.
Be still.
It's not say run around andknow I'm God, freak out, know
I'm God, run crazy, know I'm God.
No, it says be still.
Journaling is a good way.
Writing can be a great way toprocess and can lead us to new
insights, especially if we takea moment to write down within

(18:13):
the thought process of what'shappening or your stream of
consciences.
Right, god can direct ourthoughts towards a certain
conclusion through the words weare writing on the page.
I remember one time actuallythis happened to me multiple
times, but I've been in sermonsright on Sunday morning and I'm
sure the pastor's preaching agreat sermon.
I don't know, because I amtalking to God and I'm writing.
And there's been times I'm justwriting and writing and writing

(18:34):
and I don't know what thepastor's saying, but I'm writing
and then I read it later andI'm like this is God talking to
me about a situation.
And that's some of my favoritetimes.
Nothing against the pastor thatI'm listening to, but when I
can just get in with the word ofGod and hear what he is telling
me, that is more valuable to methan anything else.
Sometimes things can come up inrandom moments or within

(18:56):
conversations.
So if you have a journal or anotebook or something with you,
that's with you all day thatyou're able to write down your
thoughts or you know the thingthat popped up, or whatever, it
can help you sometimes findinsight into what you're looking
into Prayer and turning to thescripture.
Take time to read God's worddaily.
It can help direct yourthoughts or lead you insights
that might help draw out moreclarity around a situation.

(19:19):
Again, god's word, that is whatit is.
He's talking to you.
Discern between genuinespiritual guidance and personal
desires or fears.
It can be hard sometimes.
If we know if we're decidingfrom our heart or intuition or
if it's coming from a place offear, I feel a good way to know
and feel if it's divine guidanceis that there will be a peace

(19:40):
around your decision.
God is love and decisions thatare made from his place of love
will result in a sense of peaceand trust.
They say don't make bigdecisions unless you have peace
right.
Don't buy that house unless youhave peace on it.
Don't, you know, quit your jobor make a job change or move to
another state?
Or, you know, don't do bigthings without having peace on

(20:03):
it, because if you don't havepeace on it, I I tell you it's
going to get worse after youmake the decision.
Sometimes, within our businesslife or regular life, we stand
up and we have to face our fears.
We have to act from a place ofcourage, and courage comes from
the heart, which is usually asign we are aligned with the
will of God.
He'll grant us that strength toface our fears or the adversity
.
We must lean on him and moveforward in those challenging

(20:25):
times.
You are greater than your fears.
Do you hear me, peoplelistening?
You are greater than your fears.
God is our refuge.
Psalms 46 says an ever-presenthelp in trouble.
It says, therefore, we will notfear, though the earth gives
way and the mountains fall intothe heart of the sea though its
waters.
Just remember, god is ourrefuge and our strength.

(20:47):
He is ever-present help introuble.
When moving through a toughmoment in your life or business,
when you're faced with a toughdecision to make, it can be hard
to discern if something isplaced in your heart by God, or
is it because of a desire or afear, or what is it.
I've heard it said that thereis a difference between a good

(21:09):
thing and a God thing.
If something is fleeting and itcomes and goes, then it's most
likely a good thing.
But when God puts on your heartsomething, it's usually there
to stay and the desire for thatoutcome or thing will only grow
when God puts something on yourheart, so kind of you know, keep
that in mind, like if it sticksand it doesn't just go away,
that's something you got to payattention to.

(21:29):
If it's something that's coolfor a minute and then a few
weeks later you don't care, it'snot God, it's a fleeting thing,
it's not important.
So you need to pay attention tosigns.
Keep an open mind and heart tothe subtle ways in which God
communicates to the world aroundus.
Trust and remain open thatyou'll receive the guidance you
seek.
Whether it's through yourintuition, a sign, a

(21:50):
conversation, a scripture, god'salways speaking to us through a
myriad of ways.
You just have to pay attention.
You know.
Get your head out of the phone, get your head off the TV, get
your head out of your work andstart paying attention to what's
going on.
The Drowning man is a greatstory that displays how asking
for guidance is only half of it.
We must be open to seeing themessage God sends us.

(22:10):
So I'm going to read you thisDrowning man.
It says A fellow was stuck onhis rooftop in a flood.
He was praying to God for help.
Soon a man in a rowboat comesby and the fellow shouted to the
man on the roof Jump in, I cansave you.
The stranded fellow shoutedback no, it's okay, I'm praying
to God, he's going to save me.

(22:31):
So the rowboat goes on.
Then a motorboat comes by.
The fellow in the motorboatshouted out jump in, I can save
you.
To this the man said no thanks,I'm praying to God, he's going
to save me, I have faith.
So the motorboat leaves.
Then a helicopter comes by andthe pilot shouts down grab the
rope, I will lift you to safety.
So the stranded man says againno thanks, I'm praying to God

(22:53):
and he's going to save me.
I have faith.
So the helicopter reluctantlyflies away.
Soon the rudder rose to therooftop and the man drowned.
He went to heaven.
He finally got his chance todiscuss the whole situation with
God, at which point he said God, I had faith in you, but you
didn't save me.
You let me drown.
I don't understand why.
And God said I sent you arowboat, I sent you a motorboat

(23:16):
and a helicopter.
What more did you expect?
Boat and a helicopter?
What more did you expect?
The Bible says that God speaksto us through dreams, visions,
words of knowledge or prophecies, and I also have had God speak
to me through prayer as well asa compliment that goes with what
the Bible is telling me orwhat's happening currently.

(23:36):
And so don't be the guy in therowboat, don't be there.
Praying for help, praying forhelp.
And God keeps sending help.
And you have to realize helpcomes through people.
God works through people, right?
So you know, when Jesus washere, he worked through Jesus.
But Jesus is not here on thisearth anymore.
He gave us the Holy Spirit as ahelper, so listen to him.
He gave us people.
I mean, whether it's peoplethat bring food to your home in

(23:58):
times of need, people who bringmoney to you in times of need,
your friends who listen to youin times of need, whether it's
someone helps rebuild your homein a fire.
Like those are people that Godhas put here.
God works through us, which wealso have to be willing to be
open to do what God tells us.
So if God tells me to sit andlisten to a friend, to help
someone that no one else wantsto help, to continue showing up
and, you know, volunteering mytime at the soup kitchen or

(24:19):
donating money to someone thatneeds it, he works through me,
he works through you who arelistening if you're willing,
right.
So don't be, don't be stupid.
Just listen and pay attentionto what's happening around you.
People, let's talk aboutquieting your mind and your
heart for prayer.
So Pastor Pete, grigg or GregI'm not sure how to say his last
name has a book that he wrotethat says how to Pray.

(24:42):
It shares the acronym PRAY,p-r-a-y as pause, rejoice, ask,
yield to guide our conversationwith God.
So pause, that is anything thatallows you to take a moment to
breathe and relax.
Maybe it's sitting in silenceor going for a walk or writing.
This pause helps remind us thatGod is with us in every moment.
That's the quieting down youknow, paying attention.

(25:04):
Then you rejoice.
This can be more difficult intimes of sadness or frustration,
but when we take a moment torejoice that you connect with
God in this way to express ourgratitude, it can help us open
to the sense that we aresupported and loved.
Ask, we present our requests toGod and trust he will listen.
When you ask, you open yourselfup to receive divine guidance.

(25:25):
So Pastor Greg says this aboutasking for things in the name of
Jesus.
So he says praying in the nameof Jesus means wanting what God
wants, aligning our wills withhis will, our words with his
words and our personalpreferences with his eternal and
universal purposes.
It also speaks of family'sprivilege.
To ask in his name of Jesus isto approach the father in the

(25:46):
company of his own dear son.
And then, lastly, yield.
To yield is to trust we yieldthat the requests we ask will be
answered in divine timing.
So we must embrace patience andtrust in God's timing and plan
for our life.
Proverbs 3, 5 through 6 saysTrust in the Lord with all your
heart and do not lean on yourown understanding In all other
ways.
Acknowledge him and he willmake your straight, or he will

(26:09):
straighten your past.
He will straighten them Likehe'll make it easier for you.
He'll help you figure it out.
And remember what Ramsey'sarticle said the more time you
spend with him, the more you getto know him, and the more you
get to know him, the easier itis to trust him.
It's like building thatrelationship.

(26:29):
So remember to surrender controland allow divine guidance to
unfold organically.
And it can be hard, especiallywhen you really want a certain
outcome, but control won't getus anywhere.
After praying and presentingour request to God, we really do
have to surrender and we haveto allow things to unfold as
they will.
It's in God's hands.
As a planner myself, it'sreally challenging because I do
like to have it figured out.
But if I do my part, well, godwill do his part.

(26:51):
And as you continue to listento God's guidance and act on it,
seeing how things unfold fromthere, you build trust within
yourself as a person and as abusiness leader.
So I think it's hard for mesometimes because I, you know,
I've got all these experiencesin life and I have all these
moments of weakness and triumphand failure and all these things

(27:13):
.
And I'm experiencing somethingright now where I'm it's I don't
know how to explain it.
It's a friendship of minethat's struggling and I watch
this person and they make gooddecisions and they make a lot of
bad decisions and then they letother people seriously
influence their decisions andthey're not listening to God,
they're not hell.

(27:34):
I don't even think they listento me sometimes, and so I keep
asking God what is the deal here?
What's happening?
And I feel like I'm supposed tohelp this person.
So I keep asking God what isthe deal here?
What's happening?
And I feel like I'm supposed tohelp this person and I just God
keeps bringing it to me and I'mlike I can't let it go.
And then I wonder, like whatcan I do?
And I keep hearing just, youknow, kind of back off, just be
there when I can pray for thisperson, love this person as much

(27:58):
as I can, and then let that beand let God do his work, because
what I'm doing is not working, sometimes it just makes it worse
.
And so if you're in a situationlike that, or you're in a
situation where you don't knowwhat to do, or you're frustrated
, or you're sad and you know youdon't think you're ever going
to get out of the mess you're in, well, start talking to God
about it, give it to God, trustGod and start listening to God.

(28:19):
And sometimes that may be youhave to give up an addiction.
Sometimes it may be you have togive up a job you have or a
hobby that gets you into thingsyou're not supposed to be in.
Or you know, if you're in arelationship and the person's
really controlling and demandingand not with God and not yoked,
you know, evenly with you andyou're with God, or whatever,
sometimes you need to look atthat and say what is this?
What is this I'm doing?

(28:40):
What is God telling me aboutthis?
Right and it's helpful toremember God's faithfulness in
the past.
Go back to the past and trustthat he will remain faithful.
God's word is true.
He is who he says.
He is Folks.
