So many of us learn to see ourselves through the lens of what we do for others - the roles we play, the support we give, the comfort we provide. But what happens when we pause and ask: who am I beyond all of that?

In this episode, I share an experience that reminded me how easy it is to tie our identity to how we show up for others… and how important it is to remember that we are lovable simply for being ourselves. We’ll explore the roles we often take on in relationships, why they’re hard to let go of, and what it feels like when those roles begin to shift. It can feel disorienting, but it's also a sign that we're on the path to true alignment.

To help reflect, I offer a few journaling prompts:

  • What do I love doing that has nothing to do with anyone else?
  • If no one needed anything from me today, what would I choose to do?
  • What version of me feels the most like me?

If this resonates with you, I also recommend these resources that I've found helpful on this journey:

  • The Gifts of Imperfection | Brené Brown
  • The Mountain Is You | Brianna Wiest

You don’t have to be everything to everyone. You’re allowed to just be you. And the right people will love you for exactly that.
