Speaker 1 (00:00):
people right, you know, as long as we know we are
treating people right and we aredoing what we need to do to
help others.
Today I was studying my Sabbathschool lesson, and one of the
things that we're talking aboutthis week is making sure that we
do everything we can do forourselves because of our faith

(00:24):
and because of our love for God,and helping whoever we can.
So if we can pitch in to help, then pitch in to help, you know,
the people.
Help them to understand thatGod is on their side and that
they're going to be okay.
Help them not to be fearful.
I think that's the biggestthing that we could do at this

(00:46):
point is to just help people notto be fearful.

Speaker 2 (00:52):
Absolutely, because I feel like as spiritual leaders
and even as spiritual followersor people of God, and we say we
love God and we trust God withall our might, whom shall we
fear, right?
So I feel like if we reallytruly believe those words and we

(01:14):
believe in God, then we shouldbelieve in the word and that
word saying, like you soeloquently put about the
scripture that you read, butalso in Romans 8, 28.
And we know that in all things, god works for the good of those

(01:35):
who love him and who have beencalled according to his purpose,
right, and in Isaiah 41 and 10.
So do not fear, for I am withyou, do not be dismayed, for I
am your God and I willstrengthen you and I will help
you.
And I think that's really thepurpose of having that faith of
a muster seat, because withoutfaith you're all over the place.

(01:57):
So as long as you believe insomething or someone, nothing
can touch you.
I feel like I'm invincible whenI put my oil on honey, before I
leave out the door, I put on myblessed oil and I put it over
my kids and my husband, and youcan't tell us we ain't covered,
and we walk around like wecovered because we know that God

(02:19):
has everything he has to bringit over all things.
So people are getting this biguproar about it and it's just
like, okay, well, I understandthe first four years of the
current administration's reignwe really didn't feel too much
of it because we were goingthrough COVID, right, so

(02:39):
everybody was in the house andhe was doing things.
We couldn't do too much because, you know, we were in the house
.
But now that you know we're notat home and his previous plan
is now being implemented, wehave to know that we serve a God
that is much greater.
That is much greater, like yousaid, it's knowing where you at,

(03:03):
who's doing it.
But God, you know what I'm youat, who's doing it.
But God, you know what I'msaying, who's doing it.
But God, it's snowing in thesunny states.
I see y'all out there makingsnowmen and I'm like what is
going on?
They making snowmen in Texas, what they do?
That?
Yeah, I thought we were hereand then here in Illinois we

(03:23):
barely got snow.
I said this has been a good.
Did God turn the world upsidedown?
What is going on, you know?
But in all things, trust in God, in all things.
So thank you so much for that, audrey, and I appreciate you.
I want to go to my next personand I will.

(03:46):
That will be elena maria.
Elena, your question tonight, well, your, your from your point
of view, um, yours is onbiblical insights and government
, on governance, um, discuss, uh, we want to have discussions
around the moral implications ofthe political decisions

(04:10):
regarding media coverage,especially regarding social
justice issues.
I wanted to ask you whatbiblical figures exemplify faith
and governance and how cantheir stories inspire current
leaders and citizens.

Speaker 3 (04:32):
Okay, well, that's a loaded question.
Well, first, I want to startoff with when you started to say
biblical leaders to today'stime.
Today's time with a leader, you're a leader of all people,

(04:52):
right, so you're leadingeverybody.
Everybody's not a believer.
So I always like to start offwith that.
You know us as believers, wecan have our set way of seeing
and feeling and doing.
But when you're a leader of allpeople, you got to have a
broader mind, right?
Of course I'm a Christian, so Ibelieve in God.
So you know, at the core of me,you know I believe in holiness.
You know I believe in decorum.
I believe in certain things, but you know, when dealing with

(05:14):
the world, they may not, all youknow, conform to the biblical
side of things, if you will.
But as far as who was it?
Paul?
His name was changed to Saul.
You know he was an abuser ofthe people, right, and we know.
You know, when God transformedhim, he changed his name,

(05:36):
cleaned him up, made him whole, made him new, you know, reformed
him and he then became good tothe people.
So I guess that's a goodcorrelation to use for today's
leaders.
I don't like to talk politicstoo much, I try to stay away
from it because it's a soresubject for me, but I'm not a
fan of the currentadministration and some of the

(05:57):
ways they interact and talk anddeal with people because they
don't believe the way theybelieve, or they aren't, you
know, when it comes to sexualityor gender and all of those
things.
When you live in a world fullof people, you have to live in a
world full of people, right?
And it's such a touchy subject.

(06:22):
It's an awkward place to be in.
When you're a believer, certainthings you may not necessarily
agree or disagree with, but, like I said, when you're in
politics, you are the leader ofall people.
So I pray for the politiciansthat they are able to stand firm
in their faith but also usewisdom and fairness in their
judgment and decision-making,where we're not putting off a

(06:44):
whole group of people because wedon't believe as they believe,
but we realize that we need tomake sure we're making a fair
decision for everybody.

Speaker 2 (06:53):
So I know I'm kind of dancing around the question,
but no, no, no, you're finebecause you know I don't know if
you were in when I was talkingat first I was saying, um, that
even though this is a platformspeaking on political chaos,
this is not a bashing of theadministration type of thing.

(07:16):
This is more so of a how do wetrust in God during today's?
You know the things that'sgoing on today and and I guess I
needed to kind of tell you like, I wanted to kind of know like
and you explained it soeloquently when you mentioned
Saul and you know Paul turninginto Saul and exemplifying his

(07:36):
faith in governance, right, soyou did.
You explained it very well thathow can his story inspire
current leaders and citizens, and you did that with what you
just said.
Basically, um, his storybasically tells how god can turn
someone with so much hate andso much vile and so much

(08:00):
vengeance and just trying tojust spew out hate and division
against everybody.
We have to know that God is aGod of all things and trust that
, no matter how bad somebody mayseem, god always has a plan.
Nothing is getting past God'svision.

(08:20):
God knows everything that isgoing to happen before it
happens.
And just trusting in his planand knowing that, yes, they are
up in the air, they are doingthese wild things, but just know
it's a reason for the seasonand you definitely put that so

(08:42):
eloquently.
And you definitely put that soeloquently.
I just love you so much and I'mso glad you're on this platform
tonight.
You'll be thinking you'll behaving it, girl, and you'll be
hitting it right on the mark.
Every time, every single time.
I appreciate your point of viewand I'm going to get back to
you in a minute Because I thinkI have another one for you as

(09:04):
well.
Okay, elena, so if you couldstay on and if you can't, that's
fine, because I know thatyou're out and about, but you
definitely definitely explainedthat very well.
So I appreciate that the nextperson I want to get to is going
to be Myla Marie.
So, myla, thank you so much forcoming on again.

(09:28):
I appreciate you for just comingon and giving your point of
view on this topic tonight.
So your discussion point wouldbe activism in response to
current events.
Okay, so because you're anactivist and an advocate, I

(09:53):
thought that this would beperfect for you.
Protests and advocacy effortshave emerged around issues like
voting rights and social justice, with faith leaders often
taking a prominent role.
Discuss how the movements canbe rooted in faith and scripture
.
How can we ensure that ouractions reflect our faith values

(10:14):
?

Speaker 4 (10:17):
Oh, that's a good one .
We can be sure by number umbelieving that God is God and
knowing that God is God andfollowing the voice of God, and
um just doing what he says, because he says it will keep you
in perfect peace as long as youare in him, you know.

(10:39):
And um also.
I believe this is.
This is what I believe my wholelife.
So we have the ability to liveon top of the world, like we.
We have the ability to live ontop of all of this Right and and

(11:05):
Psalms 91 is one of my favoritescriptures he that dwelleth in
the secret place of the mosthigh God shall abide under the
shadow of the Almighty.
That means, no matter what youdo, no matter what you say, you
are untouchable.
No matter what you say, you areuntouchable.

(11:30):
I agree that we should juststand firm in our faith and move
on.
God's command, whatever he says, goes.
However, he tells us to walk.
That's what we do because of.
That is our safety.
Like that is the shadow that wereside in, that's the shadow
that we sit in.
So that would be my take on itLike, just as long as we are
spirit led in everything that wedo and stay steadfast in that

(11:55):
word.
That word is our sword, thatword we have to put on the whole
armor of God.
We have to, we have to put on abreastplate of righteousness,
we have to put on the helmet, wehave to put a, you know, have
the swore like.
We have to, um, stay steadfastin that word and just move on
God's commands and know that, um, he is our, our shield, he's

(12:17):
everything that was soeloquently put.

Speaker 2 (12:23):
Thank you so much.
I appreciate you, myla marie.
I might be having something.
One more thing I have to getback to you about, okay, so stay
steadfast.
The next person that I want tocall on is tracy.
Glad you back, girl.
You came back just a tad.
Thought you trying to get ridof.
Thought you trying to run, girl.
Don to run, girl, don't run, don't run.

Speaker 5 (12:46):
Not at all.

Speaker 2 (12:48):
So yours you are a teacher.
You also are more so like acommunity advocate, especially
for your students, especiallyduring this time.
So I definitely commend youjust for being who you are.
You are a superhero for mostpeople and you do not know.
You advocate for your students, you advocate for your community

(13:10):
.
You do a lot of outreach and weappreciate all teachers here on
this platform tonight.
So I think most of you areteachers and professors and have
spoken in a lot of differenteducation arenas.
So I commend you all, but thisone is for you, tracy, and yours

(13:33):
is community response topolitical decisions.
Ok, so local churches andorganizations have mobilized to
provide aid and support inresponse to executive orders
affecting immigrants and thehomeless.
Yours is how can faithcommunities mobilize resources

(13:57):
to support those affected by ICEas far as recent executive
orders, and what partnershipscan be formed for a greater
impact?

Speaker 5 (14:10):
Well, I think the first thing that needs to happen
is being well informed of those.
You know political offices andyou know what their intentions
are.
As far as you know what theirintentions are, as far as what
they intend to do to help, youknow communities such as.

(14:34):
You know schools and teachersand things of that nature, I've
heard a lot of teachers say, well, you know we're not going
to be affected.
You know because you know we'reteachers and they're not going
to bother us.
But yes, it does affect us,especially you know, with me
being a special needs teacherand us.
But yes, it does affect us,especially, you know, with me
being a special needs teacherand writing IEPs.
It's federal, you know, andit's funding that comes with

(14:55):
that, and you just have to beinformed.
You know I work with parentsevery single day and you know
they come to me with Ms Adamsand we need an IEP.
We need an IEP and you know.
My next question is do you knowwhy you need this?
You know, for your child.
I feel that it's extremelyimportant to be informed so that
you can make an informeddecision and so that you can

(15:19):
give information that's accurate.
Information that's accurate, Ijust you know, for me, I just I
feel like teachers.
You know education as a wholeall over the country, no matter
what state you go to, I feellike education is just at the

(15:40):
bottom of the totem pole.
I don't feel like you knowthese people that are in office
and that are in rulership.
I don't feel like they careabout the future of our kids.
And we need teachers.
You know you've gone into thisprofession.
It certainly is not to be rich.
You know as we.

(16:01):
You know those of us that areteachers.
We know we did not get in thisprofession to be rich.
You know as we.
You know those of us that areteachers.
We know we did not get in thisprofession to be rich.
Right, you're there because youcare, you love and care about
children and you want to dowhat's best for children.
So for me, being informed anddoing the research that's

(16:24):
necessary to make sure that youknow our kids are appropriately
educated, you know, don't justput it on us as the teachers.
You know all of us here areparents, right.
We're all mamas right.
So you know we got snowed outthis week so I'm not going to
leave it to my children'steacher to make sure that they

(16:47):
are caught up on the things thatthey missed.
That's my job, even if I wasn'ta teacher.
That's my job to make sure that, you know, my kids are well
educated.
They're educated based on whatthey need to go out into the
world and become, you know, stronger, stronger women than I

(17:08):
was.
That's you know.
That's my prayer every day isthat my girls will be better
than me.
And if we want scripture, jeremiah 29, I know the plans
that I have for you says theLord plans to do you good and

(17:28):
not evil.
So if we can remember that, that God Almighty wants to do us
good and not evil, and he's youknow the weapons can form but
they're not going to prosper.
And you know I was watching aminister and I don't mean to be
long winded, but I was watchinga minister on YouTube and she

(17:49):
was preaching and talking abouther divorce and different things
and she said the devil is apunk and a liar.
So I've adopted that saying andI'm not.
I don't feel fearful in sayingthat because he is not.
I don't feel fearful in sayingthat because he is.
I mean God calls him a liar andif we're going to call
ourselves Christians and walkingwith Christ and living for

(18:09):
Christ, then we have to say whathe says.
He says the devil is a liar, but I'm going to add to that
he's a punk too.
Yeah, yeah, yeah, he is.
You mentioned the name of.

Speaker 2 (18:27):
God, he, yeah, yeah, yeah, amen, amen, girl, don't
get me up here catching the HolySpirit up here now.
I'm been shaking some tablesand stuff.
Okay, yes, yes, yes, Iappreciate you so much, tracy.
I'm definitely have anotherquestion for you as well, so
just stick around and I'll beright back to you.

(18:47):
My next question is actuallyfor Carolyn Coleman.
Nope, not for Carolyn Coleman.
I apologize for both CarolynColeman and Sandra.
I need you guys to tag teamthis one.
So this one is about faith andpolitical change and in recent

(19:11):
events, the new administrationhas issued executive orders
affecting health care, climatechange as well as immigration.
These policies have sparkedboth support and opposition
among various faith communities.
I want you guys to consider howfaith groups are responding to

(19:36):
changes in healthcareregulations, especially
regarding reproductive rightsand access to services for
vulnerable populations likechildren with disabilities and
immigrants and veterans.
How I'm going to start with thefirst question is going to go

(19:58):
through.
It's going to go to CarolynColeman.
Carolyn, how do you interpretthese changes through your faith
lens?

Speaker 6 (20:12):
You know one thing that is constant, that is change
.
But through my faith lens, Iknow God is in total control.
Yes, we get frustrated when wehear things.
You know I know God is in totalcontrol.
Yes, we get frustrated when wehear things, you know, we get
annoyed.
I think sometimes people speak, and that's politicians, or you

(20:38):
know, john Q Publix.
Do they definitely have all thedata?
Nine times out of 10, neitherone do.
Are they really looking atlong-term goals, long-term plans
?
Nine times out of 10, neitherone does, because everyone has
their own agenda.
So some of my favoritescriptures that I read when I'm

(20:59):
really perplexed or need somecomfort I start with Psalm 24.
The earth is the Lord in thefullness thereof, the world and
they that dwell therein.
Everything is about the Lord.
God created this earth.
He allows man to do some of thethings that man does.

(21:22):
And if you don't have aconscience, if you don't have a
conscience, if you are bought,if it's just about me, me, me
and I, I, I, it's not going towork for you long range anyway.
And when I said long range, that could be 100 years.

(21:42):
There could be somegenerational wealth attached to
it.
But if it's wrong, it's wrong.
I don't care how many peopleget behind you and hold up a
sign and say, yeah, he right, yeah, he right.
And I'm talking John T, public, loyal politician unto you,

(22:04):
public or politician.
Here's another one, psalm 27,.
I'm sorry, yeah, psalm 27, 14.
Wait on the Lord, be of goodcourage and he shall strengthen
thine heart.
Wait, I say on the Lord, because a lot of times we hear
things and emotionally we getattached or we get knocked off
our feet.
So if we wait on God and God'stiming is not our timing so we

(22:29):
wait on him and we repeat thesescriptures to ourselves.
It gives us strength to go on.
There are some people who arejust negative, nancy.
They're just negative.
I don't care about the snow, Idon't care about the sun.
There is something negativewith them.
Those are people we don't careabout the snow, I don't care
about the sun.
There is something negativewith them.
Those are people we don't needto be around because they will

(22:51):
drain your spirit, they willdrain you.
So, psalm 34, I will bless theLord at all times.
His praise shall continually bein my mouth.
When I am just perplexed, feeling down, all I can say is
hallelujah.
Hallelujah is the highestpraise.

(23:14):
Sometimes that's all you needto say Amen.
Listening to one of my mom'sfavorite pastors he went on to
be with the Lord last year I cansee his face.
He said when you don't knowwhat to say, when you don't know
what to pray, just say help me,jesus.
And sometimes we don't knowwhat to say, we don't know what

(23:36):
to pray.
And it could be, you know, youcould be just so tormented by
all the negativity coming aroundus and that's just life.
And you'd be like I'm so glad Idon't live in this world of
negativity, I'm so glad I.
And when I said live in thisworld, you're like you know I
live in the world, but I'm not,but you're not of the world I'm

(23:56):
not of the world, and being ofthe world that means you get
consumed with all this stuff too.
I know some people trust inriches okay, but I'm going to
trust in the Lord because I knowriches fade, okay, things go
away.
You know we have storms.
We're having storms we've neverhad before.

(24:17):
Yes, there is climate change, whether people want to admit to
it or not.
I'm not a scientist, I'm not ameteorologist, I don't play one
on daytime TV, but goodness, goodness, goodness, we got snow
on the beach.
Guys down here in Alabama, thesethings let you know that you

(24:39):
can't predict what God got forus.
But one thing he said he wouldnever leave us nor forsake us.
Those are the ones that believein him, right?
So we're going to have to stayon that planet, on that plane,
and say Lord, yet will I trustyou?
I have been walking down thehalls, I have been walking in

(25:01):
the classrooms, I have beendriving to school, I have been
driving to work.
I have been driving to work.
I said Lord, yet will I trustyou?
Yet will I trust you?
Because we don't know what ison the other side of getting out
that car, we don't know what'son the other side of walking
through that door, we don't knowwhat's on the other side of
walking down that corridor.

(25:21):
Lord, yet will I trust you?
Okay, a lot of people thinkbecause, okay, I'm a nurse, that
I am, let's say Miss JaneHathaway.
Okay, from the BeverlyHillbillies.
I'm like Miss Jane, I don'tknow nothing, okay.
But so they tell me anything.

(25:42):
They tell me anything.
My spirit man said don'tbelieve that.
Don't believe that.
They tell you because theythink you're innocent and that
you haven't lived life or thatyou're not in this world.
Okay, well, just because Idon't do some of the things that
other people do, patients willtell you anything, just like
some students will tell youanything.

(26:03):
Just like some students willtell you anything.
But you know, I have this faithwhere everybody tells me I look
unconcerned.
Well, I thank God for theunconcerned faith because they
say some things to you to knockyou off your game.
Okay, so yet will I trust him?
Every day I went to work, whenI've worked inside the hospital,
took care of patients, everyday I drove to work, I prayed.

(26:27):
I don't care if I was fiveminutes away from the hospital
or 30 minutes from the hospital.
I said, lord, give me strengthto recognize the change in my
patient.
When I have to speak to aphysician, let me speak in an
intelligent manner where he willunderstand what I am saying.
Let me catch any change in mypatient.
I don't really want to codeanybody today, lord, but if we

(26:49):
have to code somebody, let me beon my game.
I didn't think about me.
I really was thinking about thepatient.
I don't know who I'm going tohave that day.
You don't know the patient youhad today.
You're about to send him home.
Okay, he collapsed and you'd belike what happened, you know.
But we have to put God first.

Speaker 4 (27:13):
And I know a lot of times.

Speaker 6 (27:14):
We don't do it.
Let it just be 100%.
We don't do it.
I get up praying, thanking theLord for a new day, but if we
listen to the world, we wouldn'tget out of the bed in the
morning.
You would be under the covers.
But God didn't want us to livethat way.
Now does he?

(27:34):
No, ladies, he does not.
Oh, taste and see that the Lordis good.
Blessed is the man that trustis in him.
That comes from Psalm 34 and 8.
There's a lot of scriptures wehave to go back on to build up
our spirit.
Man, If you can't think of theentire scriptures, just say help

(27:56):
me, Lord, Lord, which?

Speaker 2 (27:58):
is your word.
Or say, like what Marvin Sappsaid, you can always play that
song.
Know I'm a song girl.
Praise them in advance.
Okay, praise them in advance.
Praise them in advance.
You can praise them in advance.
You can just, in all things, never worry, always worship.
So if you replace that worrywith worship and you just, no

(28:23):
matter what is going on, youpraise God because you know that
it's something the devil isfighting against, because the
devil don't fight against peoplethat he is in connection with.
So if you're doing things thatis not right or that is not of
God, he's not going to fight you.
So when you feel like you havean attack coming against, you
just know that you are on theright path.

(28:45):
It's not that you need to pivotor go somewhere else or run
away from the problem.
You face the problem head on,because nine times out of 10
after that storm, that rainbowis always there.
That's 10 times out of 10, Imust say so.
Yes, thank you so much, carolyn.
I do have some more questionsfor you as well, sandra.

(29:06):
I'm going to bring you up.
You're going right back to thediscussion point.
Consider how faith groups areresponding to challenges in

(29:30):
health care regulations,especially regarding the
reproductive rights that arebeing stripped away and access
to services for vulnerablepopulations.
What actions, as a faith basedcommunity, can we all take to
respond effectively?

Speaker 7 (29:42):
is this.
Look at Psalms 145 and 2, whichtells us every day I thank the
Lord.
Every day I thank God.
Every day I thank Jesus, whichever one you want to call
him by, because we all know thathe goes by so many names.
And if we hold fast to that andbe thankful for the fact that,

(30:03):
yes, we are in rough times, but,as I stated earlier, it's a
fight between God and the devil, and who always comes out on top
?
Who would you say?
You know what?
I got my bet on God Boy.
I got my bet on the devil right.
We have gone through somechanges.
We're going to continue to gothrough some changes, but if you

(30:26):
remember, if you're faithfuland you stay within where you're
supposed to and you're thankfuland you go every day by being
thankful, you should have noproblem.
There should be no worrybecause you know, in the end
you're going to come out on top.
So that's what I would add tothat.

(30:47):
What can we do?
We can be thankful.
We can be thankful.
We should all be thankful,Every last one of us, no matter
what we go through.
We should be thankful thatwe're still here on earth,
Meaning that God is not finishedwith us yet Because when he's
finished he's going to tap usand say come on home, you did

(31:08):
your work.
So we should all be thankfulthat we're still allowed to
breathe.
And those patients who are outhere, the people who are hurting
, should know because we'rethankful they get the benefit of
that Because they haveresources they can go to when
they feel down and out andthey're struggling and they just
really don't understand what'sgoing on.
All of us on this call and morewho are believers.

(31:32):
They should be able to turn tous and get what we have.
That thanks.
They should be able to rub thatoff.
It should be able to come offon them so that we don't
continue to worry and stress out.
Once again, my bet is on Godthat he's going to pull us
through.
I don't know who you are, but Iknow my bet is on God that he's
going to pull us all throughthis.

(31:52):
We got some rough times.
We've been through them, wewent through them before and,
once again, I've never seen hisseed break and break Never.

Speaker 4 (32:03):
And I don't think.

Speaker 7 (32:04):
I'm going to see it now, because there's too many of
us that we can go to theoccasion and rise up for those
that can't rise up forthemselves.
So that's what I'm going to add.

Speaker 2 (32:22):
Sorry y'all, my mic was muted.
I'm new to spring.
Y'all Y'all know I don't spring.
Y'all y'all know I'll go laugh,okay.
So one more question for sandra.
Uh, what partnerships can beformed for greater impact?
So I know that you have choms, meta health as well, as sandra
is on the board.
Um, as far as you know themstripping away a lot of things

(32:45):
from the veterans and and howcan people come together and
form partnerships for a greaterimpact?

Speaker 7 (32:57):
None of us should be doing anything alone.
We should be having God as ourhead and we should be looking to
outreach as many organizationsas we can.
You know, I used to do videosonce a week, every Wednesday,
where I would have smaller, lesser known nonprofits join us

(33:20):
as we were growing.
Because it's going to take acollaboration of all of us to
make this move.
It's going to take acollaboration of all of us to
bring those who are hurting inthe healthcare field, to bring
them out and to make them feelsafe and secure.
Because guess what, if I don'thave the resources to do

(33:40):
something, I have the resourceconnections.
Who I can say well, we don't doit, but here's somebody else
that does.
So.
If you own a business or anonprofit, well, a nonprofit is
a business.
But whatever kind of businessyou own, stop trying to do
things on your own, because veryoften it doesn't lead to great
things.

(34:01):
Look to collaborate as much asyou can with like-minded people,
with like-minded organizations,so that all of you grow
together.
It's going to take atogetherness, not a separation,
in order for us to be able togrow.

Speaker 2 (34:20):
Thank you so much for that.
And we have Classy Define LLCchiming in saying check out
Sandra's organization on YouTube, MetaHelps.
So if you go to YouTube, I wantyou to search in for MetaHelps
and some of her previousdiscussions are on there and how

(34:44):
you can become involved inorganizations and nonprofits,
such as herself with Choms Men.
It Helps.
So thank you so much for that.
Is there anything else you wantto chime in and say?

Speaker 7 (34:59):
Yeah, I do actually want to add in the oneary we'll
be actually showcasing some ofthose organizations that we do,
that we do have a relationshipwith, through our black history
month event that we'll behosting all month long through
february.
So you'll be able to see someof those very people who we

(35:19):
actually connect with and, someof them, organizations who,
together, we grow this thing.

Speaker 2 (35:25):
So and where can they purchase tickets?

Speaker 7 (35:29):
tickets are on eventbrite and they're actually
also a link for it, so if youneed to actually register, um,
the registration is five dollarsper show.
There's a total of 18 liveshows.
The recordings, thepre-recorded shows, will be on
my LinkedIn and Facebook, butall of the live shows you will

(35:52):
need to register for.

Speaker 2 (35:54):
Okay, and Sandra, if you can put your, once this live
is over, you can find the linkto the event right in the
comment section at the bottom ofthe screen.
Thank you so much, sandra, forthat.
I'm going to move on to thenext person, and that will be

(36:18):
Miss Audrey Ann.
Audrey Ann, can you come backup?
Yes, ma'am.
Ok, so I have for you is copingwith division?
Ok, that's the next topic andthat is.
There are reports onpolarization in politics that

(36:38):
highlight the challenges ofmaintaining unity within
community.
Maintaining unity withincommunity how can we create
spaces for open conversations?

Speaker 1 (36:53):
without compromising our beliefs.
I think the best place iscommunity, community centers and
churches, where people cangather and voice their opinion
in a safe place.
Excuse me, it's reallyimportant that whoever the
organizers are, make sure thereis a safe place where people's

(37:16):
voices can be heard without themworrying about being attacked,
or verbally or physically beingattacked verbally or physically.
So I think that the best waywould be for community leaders

(37:37):
and county leaders be able toensure that.
Otherwise, people are not goingto come out to talk.
Even though they may have greatideas about how to mend the
community, they're not going tocome out if they feel they are
not safe.
So the first thing is that thelocal authorities need to make
sure that they have a spotthat's going to be safe for them

(38:03):
to be able to voice theiropinions.
I also think that it needs tostart in the home as well.
I think that in the home, ifparents have these conversations
honest conversations with theirchildren, even if they're
teenage children, if they havethese honest conversations,

(38:26):
children, even if they'reteenage children, if they have
these honest conversations, ifhusbands and wives have these
honest conversations about howthey feel about things that are
going on and what can they do asa family to be able to start in
the home and letting it comeout how the children treat each

(38:46):
other at school, or ifsomething's going on at work,
the spouses can discuss it.
If it starts there, then it'llmake it easier for it to merge
out into the community and weshouldn't wait on higher
authorities.
A lot of times we wait onhigher authorities to do things

(39:09):
when sometimes just having agathering of people.
Well, first of all, like I said, starting in our schools and in
our churches and have agathering of people that can
have a conversation and makeplans for what they can do to
pull their communities together.
If every community does that, then I mean we would have a

(39:32):
fabulous country.

Speaker 2 (39:34):
Absolutely 100%.
I knew you was going to hitthat one out the park.
I know I had the right person.
I just love my panel.
This is a great paneldiscussion tonight.
I really do.
I knew I had the people for thejob.
Myla marie, I got another onefor you.
Love um.
Prayer for leaders and policies.

(39:57):
Okay, um, in recent events, faith leaders are often called
upon to pray for nationalleaders and policies during
challenging times.
You know I'm getting that girl, you know I'm getting it,
especially as new legislation isintroduced.
I want to discuss organizedprayer events for leaders and

(40:22):
communities.
Prayer events for leaders andcommunities.
How can we encourage ourcongregations to pray for
leaders and what specificprayers can we offer for those
navigating complex politicallandscapes, such as Ms Bishop?
God bless her ministry thispast week.

Speaker 4 (40:44):
I bless her ministry this past week.
Well, that's a really goodquestion because, in my opinion,
you should want to pray forthem, like that's a given why?
Because, at the end of the day, like you know, like we have, we

(41:05):
all coexist in this worldtogether, right, and in order
for us to cohesively coexist.
Finally, like I believe thatGod can change anything, so we
should, we should want to pray, especially if it's something
that a lot of people are havingtrouble and strife with, that a
lot of people are having troubleand strife with.

(41:26):
So, as far as encouraging youknow the people, I mean to pray.
This is the main time we needto be on our face.
You know, this is how thingsshould go.
We should pray the word beforeanything, anything, even when it
comes to our families, of ourchildren, when our children go

(41:48):
out into this world, we need tobe sending the word before them
so they come home wrapped inthat word and their, their,
their ear gates are guarded andtheir eye gates are guarded so
that, no, no matter, you knowwhat happened, nothing can
penetrate.
Those are the same prayers thatwe need to have for our leaders
and that should be our posture, just for God's will to prevail

(42:13):
and that it be revealed toeveryone that's involved and
everyone that is shaping thisgovernment, because there is a
physical government but there'salso the government of Christ.
There are, there are umpositions that are signed to
cover these uh principalities, powers, spiritual wickedness in

(42:34):
high places, like there are umprayers that are in the word
that has been set forth in those.
That is what we need to bedoing.
We need to be praying the word, and this is the time where we
need to do it, and I think wewill get to a point, as the
government of Christ, to kind ofrecognize that and stop

(42:59):
allowing the fear mongering tokind of kick in, because that's
that's, um a lot of the reasonwhy we get distracted on where
we supposed to be as the body ofChrist, as the government of
Christ, um, we let fear creep inbecause we don't necessarily um
weed out, you know, uh, what wetake in.

(43:20):
We we just take in everythingyou know, and and we just don't
necessarily weed it out.
Well, we're coming to a timewhere we need to be cautious, or
we need to be not necessarilycautious, but aware of what's
entering into our ear gate, what's going, you know.
What's entering into our eyegate, you know, and we need to

(43:44):
learn how to be what Christ hasmade us to be.
We need to know that whereverwe go, wherever we stand, like
if Christ abides in us, we havethe ability to pray into that
territory and shift theatmosphere like Christ.
Wherever you go, whatever roomyou go into with Christ inside

(44:07):
of you, everything in there mustshift, must go.
So I think we as the people, asthe government of Christ, as the
body, just have to get back tothat place, to where we are
really on our face and we arereally praying for revelation
and we are really praying foralignment and without.

(44:27):
We need to learn to respecteach other's perspective because
a lot of times, what we do iswe pray from a place where we're
angry and it's not getting hurt.
We pray from a place where weare.
There's a motive there.
You know what I'm saying.
There's a motive there.
You know what I'm saying, andthe only motive needs to be
God's motive.

(44:48):
So we need to, once we learnhow to pray from a heart posture
of purity, of love.
I think that our prayers wouldbe more effective when it comes
to covering the leaders of thenation, when it comes to
covering the leaders of thechurch of.
It comes to covering theleaders of the church of the
body or any type of leaders.

(45:10):
We have to check out heartposture and that's what it
should be Like it should.
We should want to pray rightnow.

Speaker 2 (45:19):
Exactly, we should want to basically mimic Christ.

Speaker 4 (45:24):
Absolutely.

Speaker 2 (45:29):
I agree with you a thousand percent on that.
I think a lot of times we justget so caught up in our
emotional what we feel we don'tlike or who we don't like, or
we're so wrapped up in as far aspolitics about who we voted for
and that person didn't win.

(45:50):
And, yes, it is getting sochaotic and things seem like
they are not just.
Everything is going out ofcontrol and people are in fear
and I think I feel, with mypoint of view, that we are
begging and pleading to thewrong person.

(46:12):
We feel like this person hasdominion over our lives because
they hold a space in a politicalarena temporarily and we feel
that because they hold thatspace, that they hold the key to
our future.
And they don't.
And they don't.

(46:33):
I feel like true believers knowthat God doesn't call the
qualified, he qualifies thecalled.
And while most people areseeing the pages of the Bill of
Rights and the civil rightsbeing snatched away, they think
that that's in all be all andthat is not the case.

(46:56):
But you know, it's easier saidthan what is going on and the
things that we see right.
But that's where faith comes in, that's where imagination as a
child comes in.
You never seen Santa Claus?
I never saw Santa Claus, but wewere taught as kids to believe

(47:17):
in Santa Claus and a lot ofpeople say, oh, don't teach your
kids you know that Santa Clausand this and that.
Well, how do you expect them tobelieve in God if they don't
believe in something of animagination at first?
That's why they're introducedto Barney and all these things,
because that is setting them upto believe in God or believe in

(47:41):
things that they cannot see.
And right now, people are sodistraught and they're
heartbroken and they are in painand it really just hurts my
heart because, although I'm nota fan of what's going on, I'm

(48:05):
totally against everythingthat's going on right now.
That bishop that spoke to ournew administration, she has so
much fear of God, she, sheconducted herself so eloquently

(48:34):
and she really looked, lookedopposition and looked, uh, just
the unjust, right in the face, right, and she called out the
beast.
But she didn't do it withanimosity, she didn't do it with
anger, she didn't do it withfrustration.
She did it all soft-spoken,eloquently, with the love of

(48:56):
Christ and as if she had Christwithin herself.
And that made me and myperspective because if anybody
know listen, linda, I'm afirecracker and this time last
year I would have been on thisplatform giving it everything I
had.
I'd have been doing all of this, but I know all of that is just

(49:19):
theatrics and what does itsolve?
What does it help that we areon here attacking who right and
who wrong, who did this and whodid that?
This is not a debate.
This is not a smear campaign.
What this is is this is agathering of women of God who
are coming together to tell youguys, hey, you guys, hey, fear

(49:46):
not, fear not.
God is not an author ofconfusion.
He does not give the spirit offear.
Okay, what does he give?
What does he give?
Who knows what he gives?

Speaker 4 (49:59):
Love, power and a sound mind.

Speaker 2 (50:02):
Amen and peace, Peace that passes all understanding.
And when you know that, whenyou know that and you live in
peace and you live in atranquility of knowing that god
is going to fight the battle foryou, who can be against you?
You know that god is coming.
He coming absolutely.

(50:22):
He's showing himself already.
He's showing himself alreadywith um.
He's showing himself already.
He's showing himself alreadywith um.
He's showing himself alreadywith with the storms and with
the snow storms and with thefires and with all of these
things that are going on.
He is showing you, guys, there's only one person that can
do that and that is Godalmighty.
Nobody else can come in and dothose things.

(50:44):
So, just basically, what I'msaying is the world is in a
waiting room right now.
Yes, the world is in thewaiting room right now.
Thank you so much for that,Myla Marie Carolyn, I have
another question for you.
Are you there, Miss Gentry?
Are you there?
Ms Gentry?

(51:05):
Yes, I'm here.
Okay, great.
So we're talking long-termfaith and civic engagement right
now, especially by you havingrun for political office just
recently and knowing just whoyou are as a human being and as

(51:26):
a person of Christ and a womanof God and a woman of faith.
Ongoing discussions about voterengagement and participation in
the democratic processcontinues today, right so I want
to explore the role of faithcommunities in encouraging civic

(51:49):
responsibility andparticipating in local
governance.
Let's discuss how can weinspire congregations to be
active in their communitiesbeyond the election cycles right
Now.
How can we inspire others tosee faith as a call to action in

(52:12):
the public life?

Speaker 6 (52:17):
Okay, that may be a twofold question.
I'm going to answer it from myheart.
Maybe not from my head, butfrom my heart.
People are so nonchalant thesedays.
They razz up about things thatthey shouldn't razz up about.

(52:39):
Local government is very, veryimportant.
The midterm elections are veryimportant.
The majority of people gatherfor the general elections.
Just like we assume thatpeople's votes are bought or

(53:08):
purchased or bartered.
That just may be very well truewhen the deck is stacked.
I'm like him.
He hit my daddy two years ago.
I ain't forgot he hit.

(53:30):
Okay now, what's the whole storybehind it?
What's the inside story behindit?
But people won't, and itbothers me.
People won't stop and theywon't.
And it's free, but there's no.
They want it free, but there'sno such thing as free.

(53:50):
When you work and you earn yourown money, then you have a
degree of freedom, but when youconstantly have your hand out,
when a person hands yousomething, it's just a little
something, something.
Little something for the church, little something for the
church.
Everybody got to know aboutthis.

(54:10):
You don't even have to put itin the collection.
Now you know.
You got to pay that back.
Whether you pay it with moneyor your voice or something.
This goes on.

(54:32):
You know, when people say, oh,he's bought, the election is
rigged.
When I was a kid, my parentsused to laugh about the number
of people that were in thecemetery that voted.
I mean, I'm a kid, I'm like howdo they vote?
How do they vote voting?
Because people use their name.

(54:52):
They use their name.
People have become moresophisticated in that process
where they're going to theperson they think is going to
help promote which nothing wrongwith that.
Who's going to pick thesorriest player on the team to
try to help win the game?
They're going to try to findthe person that's the strongest

(55:15):
to win the game, but at the sametime, are we doing them a
disservice Exactly Because, justbecause they're strong and
they're popular, do you guysshare the same ideology?
There are some people who are,and I watch it from time to time

(55:39):
.
Politics is not my forte.
I will say that Medicine is,nursing is, but you don't have
to watch it, but a little whileto know, as the people said,
there's a dead cat on the line.
Know, as the people said, there's a dead cat on the line.
We don't know in totality whatthe presidents go through.

(56:02):
They go in with black hair, they come out with white.
So that lets me know the weightof the world literally is on
their shoulders so we can saywhat they should do, what they
shouldn't do, how they're goingto do it.
But we don't have the entirestory.
We have to trust the process.
We have to trust the processand we have to pray.

(56:27):
Part of my prayer for years isLord, be with our political and
religious leaders.
Help them to do what's right byyour people.
The pastor has an obligation.
People who said that they areleaders have an obligation to do

(56:49):
what's right by the people.
It's not just talking points.
You need to be a doer and Iknow some people just will argue
you all the way down andthey're good at arguing.
But is that healthy?
Sometimes?
We just need to be wise.

Speaker 2 (57:08):
Yeah, a lot of times, you know people want to, they
want to have you know a back andforth or some type of you know
people want to, they want tohave you know a back and forth,
or some type of you know um,tumultuous banter when it does
not have to be um.
Like you know, the serenityprayer is one of my favorite
prayers of all time.

(57:28):
God, grant me the serenity toaccept the things I cannot
change, the courage to changethe things I can't, and the
wisdom to know the difference.
My dad used to always say andy'all know, I quote this all the
time my daddy used to alwayssay a wise man knows he does not
know everything.
A wise man knows he does notknow everything.

(57:53):
A wise man knows he does notknow everything.
So a lot of people may feellike they.
You know what they say is Bible.
Whatever they say is end all tobe all.
We all feel that way sometimes.
I know I'm right.
I know you're right in yourworld, in your bubble, that you
live in world in your bubble, that you live in Absolutely.
I'm never going to say Myra, myla, you're wrong or Audrey,

(58:24):
you're wrong.
Your belief is your belief.
What you feel is what you feel.
I can never tell you thatyou're wrong.
However, I can show you anotherway or another point of view to
view things by.
What I feel in my heart andwhat I believe to be right can
also be true.
Two things can be true at onetime.
Okay, it can be true for me.
My truth can be my truth, yourtruth can be your truth, but I

(58:48):
do believe in respecting otherpeople's opinions, other
people's point of views, withoutnecessarily debating or going
back and forth about who's rightand who's wrong.
That's not what this platform isabout and that's not what we,
as women of the waiting room, stand for.
Our main focus and our mainmission is to come together to

(59:14):
show people hey, look, I wentthrough A, b, c, d and I got out
of it.
And guess how I did it?
Because because of God, y'allthink he not real.
Well, I'm a show you because Iwent through all of this.
And look at me today.
Oh, I'm going through thisright now.
You want to know what's gettingme through?
It's through this book.

(59:35):
It's through this book.
It's called the Holy Bible, andthese words and these
affirmations that I'm speakinginto existence over my life,
these things are coming to life.
I've been called the prophet,I've been called the vessel,
I've been called a woman of God,I've been called all of these
things.
But I don't take that and Idon't use that or those

(59:59):
terminologies lightly when itcomes to me.
I just know when God tells mesomething and he speaks to me,
he don't speak to me to say Godtold me to tell Audrey and this,
or God told me to tell MylaMarie, that God didn't tell me
to tell y'all nothing.
He told me something and I saidthis may apply to somebody

(01:00:24):
else's life too.
So let me tell y'all what Godtelling me today.
Okay, because God, if he wantsto speak to you, because God, if
he wants to speak to you, heknow you, he made you, he, your
daddy, just like he mine, hegoing to tell you.
So when I hear or I feel peoplecoming to me and they telling

(01:00:49):
me well, god told me to tell youI know it was a group chat he,
he don't, he don't tell peopleto come to them to tell me
nothing.
Know my number.
He gave me the number.
He know where I'm at, he knowmy address, he know where to
find me, he know where my warroom at, because he right there
with me.
So why would he send a two-waytext through you to tell me
something?
Now he shows me things throughusing people as vessels.

(01:01:14):
I give that.
But in the same token, we haveto learn true discernment and
how to move through the daysthat we're going through and the
time that we're going throughnow in a place of peace.
Because if we're going to becombative through this, through
these next four years, we willnot win.

(01:01:35):
Because the fight is not ours.
Vengeance is mine, said thelord, not ours.
And where you, lying to adam, say because y'all know, I'm a
one, I'm a, I'm a, I'm a soundgirl, the battle is not yours,
it's the Lord's.
And in knowing that the battleis not ours, let's stop, ladies

(01:02:00):
and gentlemen, let's stop.
Let's stop the fighting, let'sstop.
We are wasting time coming onsocial media talking about who
we should have voted for.
I'm not saying nothing.
I'm not advocating for nobody.
I'm not, I'm not, I'm not.
Y'all should have, y'all shouldhave, y'all should have.

(01:02:22):
If we just concentrate on whatwe're doing inside of our
household, inside of our bubble, and to help others outside
become better, live better, bebetter and find their faith in
God by coming and rubbing on ourgarments and what we and our

(01:02:44):
faith and tuning into us andwhat we're doing collectively as
women of Christ, as people ofGod, then we won't have time to
keep spewing out hate anddivision and what we should have
could have would have done Ifwe just focus on our faith, pray

(01:03:05):
to God, know that he is goingto deliver us from everything
that's going on in the worldtoday.
That I promise you a shift willhappen.
A shift will happen, but let'sstop focusing on the other
people and what they're doingwrong and because we wasting
time and we taking our eyes offof the calling and what God has

(01:03:30):
and his plan for us.
We're taking the focus off ofthe right thing and we're
putting it on the wrong thingbecause we were.
I'm over here worrying aboutAudrey Ann and what she talking
about or what she got going on.
Then I'm down here.
I'm looking at Sandra like hey,you forgot to do this.
You forgot to do this, sandra.

(01:03:51):
Then I'm over here talkingabout Myla Myla.
Why you ain't doing this?
You supposed to be doing this.
You forgot to do this, sandra.
Then I'm over here talkingabout Myla Myla.
Why you ain't doing this.
You supposed to be doing thisthe whole time.
I'd have missed three steps upthe ladder and I'd have fell
back down 10 because I'm notfocused on his mission and what
he called me to do, because I'mtoo busy getting on social media
, scrolling through there to seeall the wrong stuff and calling

(01:04:11):
out all the wrong stuffeverybody else doing.
And while I'm on this subject,I'm going to say this because
I'm the moderator and I had achance to really speak, so now
I'm going to get it out there.
We are supposed to uphold theword of God and everything
that's in the word of God.

(01:04:32):
I know that to be true, butplease, please, let's come
together and stop picking andchoosing what we want to go and
be obedient to when it comes tothe word.
Can we do that?

(01:04:53):
Can we stop picking andchoosing what verses we want to
be obedient to and stop skippingthe ones that rub us a little
wrong, because we know we wrongin that arena and we ain't all
the way clean?
Let me tell you somethingpeople Never be ashamed that you
are not all the way clean.

(01:05:14):
The point of going to yourwaiting room and going to church
is seeking God.
We all going to fall short.
That don't mean you are notworthy.
That does not mean.
But that also don't mean thatwhen you become a seasoned saint
or you become a retired sinner, that you have to gavel to judge

(01:05:36):
everybody.
God didn't give you that.
He didn't give you the right tocondemn other people.
All he wants you to do is trustin him, follow his plan.
You do those things thateverybody else will too, and if
they don't pray for him, praythat they do.
Pray God, change their heartand keep it moving, because

(01:05:59):
Abraham had a lot to lose.
Did y'all catch that?
Because I caught it last weekwhen I saw it on Facebook.
He had a lot to lose If I gotmy brother with me and my
brother is carrying all thisbaggage and he got all this
chaos going on over here.

(01:06:20):
I got to lose that brotherbecause if I don't, it's going
to distract me.
I ain't trying to turn to apillow or something for nobody,
and I ain't finna sit up hereand be looking back trying to
figure out who ain't doing whatGod told them to do.
And y'all need to do what Godtold y'all to do.
I don't need to tell y'allnothing.
All I need y'all to do is havefaith, trust that God will bring

(01:06:44):
you through and keep movingtowards your purpose and
whatever it is that you feelthat God called you to do, you
do those three things and youwill not worry.
You will worship and, throughall things, trust in him.
So I'm getting ready to closeout.

(01:07:06):
I want you guys to once againbecause I now started the stream
a little late to once againbecause I now started the stream
a little late.
So, once again, I want you guysto introduce yourselves.
I mean, before we go, introduceyourselves one more time for
the audience, tell who you areand how they can reach you in

(01:07:28):
anything that you have coming up, and I'm going to start with Dr
Audrey Ann.

Speaker 1 (01:07:50):
Again, I'm Dr Audrey Ann Moses.
Never Say my um.
My website is transition lifecoach.
For you is the number fourletter, youcom, and I have uh,
I'm working on a couple books.
I'm working on the sequel today, girl walking, and again my.

(01:08:12):
I just started a new podcast.
I was doing it last year butwe're really rolling into it
this year A moment with DrAudrey Ann Moses, and you'll be
able to find it on YouTube, onmy YouTube page and on Facebook

(01:08:33):
Live, so I'm really excitedabout that.
We also have a local radiostation here that we go on live
every Thursday morning at 10o'clock.
So I've just been doingwhatever God tells me to do and
having fun doing it, and it wasjust been a wonderful.
Thank you, ms Linda, forinviting me on this platform,

(01:08:58):
and I hope that I get to serveon it some other times as well.
And it was a nice meeting allof you ladies, and my sister,
carolyn, is always good to seeher, so thank you very much.

Speaker 2 (01:09:14):
Thank you so much and we're going to go to Carolyn
Coleman, okay.

Speaker 6 (01:09:22):
Let me read this verse first.
It comes from Psalm 71.
Let them be confounded andconsumed, that are adversaries
to my soul.
Let them be covered withreproach and dishonor that seek
my hurt.
It's really self-explanatory.
I just wanted to sort of closeout with that, because everyone

(01:09:47):
who pretends to be your friendis not always your friend.
I'm like Elena Politics, sex andreligion are three things that
I try to stay away from, especially in the workplace.
Sure, around family you can doit, but it still gets to be

(01:10:07):
heated.
But at work, you're not goingto hear me doing stuff on that
nature.
If it's on the news, baby, it'sjust on the news.
I didn't put it there, you know.
You got to go talk to thepeople who get when it comes to
things in the community, thingsin the country, and what we
really need to be doing ispraying for one another, because
, just like what happened in LA,that can happen anywhere that

(01:10:31):
we live.
Ok.
So we pray for the people whoare going through.
We're supposed to be prayingfor our leadership.
There's no way we can expectthem to make good decisions and
we're not covering them andlifting them up in prayer.
So, with that being said, I amCarolyn Coleman.
Like I said, I am an author.

(01:10:52):
Christian nonfiction andfiction are my things.
I am working on a couple ofthings that I can't make up my
mind if they're going to benonfiction or not.
I can easily twist it.
That is what it is.
Hopefully one of the books willbe out by the end of this year.

(01:11:14):
The Gentry series is beingrepurposed.
My website is cpwbookshelfcom.
If you want to purchase any ofthe things, any of my works that
I have done.
Once you become an author, youdon't stop.
You might not publish, but youdon't stop writing.

(01:11:35):
There's always somethingdancing in your head.
My podcast is Gentry's Journeyand I've done my first one for
this year already they are.
It gives you a deeper dive intothe lives or the reasons why

(01:11:57):
people write what they write, orthey select the career choice
that they have, or theirbusiness or brand, why they
developed it.
So that's what that platform isbasically for to give other
people exposure.
You can't get exposure being inyour hometown.
You have to get out and be onvarious platforms for people to

(01:12:19):
see and hear what you have tosay.
I am thankful to God for my life.
I am thankful to God for thejourney that he put me on.
I never would have thought in amillion years talk about
podcasts I mean they didn'texist.
But I never would have thoughtin a million years Talk about
podcast I mean they didn't exist, but I never would have thought
.
I've always wanted to writebecause I love to read, but I

(01:12:42):
never would have thought that Iwould have become a number one
bestselling author.
I want to thank Jackie, thislistening lender herself, for
this opportunity.
But let's just keep an open mind, not just when it comes to
politics, but what well you can.

(01:13:02):
Politics is in everything.
It's on your job, it iseverywhere, it is in these
companies.
So where money is, politicswill be okay.
That's just life, that's justwhat it is.
Is politics will be okay.
That's just life, that's justwhat it is.
But let's continue to pray forour leaders as well as ourselves
.
Like I say, my prayer and hasbeen for years for God to touch

(01:13:25):
the hearts of our political andreligious leaders, to do what's
best for God's people, and weneed to keep them lifted up.
They have the weight of theworld on them.
Like I said, it may not show.
I'm sure they have to bestone-faced on a lot of things.
They can't reveal a lot ofthings.

(01:13:45):
It's nothing we could do aboutit if they did, okay.
So let's keep them prayed up,let's keep them covered, let's
keep ourselves prayed up, and Ithink that's basically it, miss
Listen.
Is there anything else that Ineed to say?

Speaker 2 (01:14:00):
Baby, you said it all .
You said it all and basically, that's, once again, that's what
this platform was about, andbasically, that's, once again
that's what this platform wasabout.
This platform, like you soeloquently put, and like I put

(01:14:22):
it in the beginning of the show,in the middle of the show and
towards the end of the show, this is not to bash any
political leaders.
This show is titled TrustingGod in the Mist of Political
Chaos, of political chaos.
So this is not a we're speakingon politics show tonight.
This is how do we trust God inthe midst of the political chaos

(01:14:44):
?
So this discussion is not tobash our political arena or
anyone inside of it.
I don't speak politics as well, but I know that politics, right
now and in current events, iswhat the topic just is.
That is, the reason for thechaos of the world today is

(01:15:07):
because of politics, and that'swhy I'm so glad that each of you
decided to come on and, although it is a touch and go
subject, to keep a clear mind ofwhat the topic is about, and it
is and has always been abouthaving faith in God and praying

(01:15:31):
for them and not throwing stonesin glass houses, and keeping
our vision and what God's visionis for us at the forefront of
our glasses, keeping our peaceand our sanity, and not more so

(01:15:52):
our religion, but more so of ourfaith in God, at the forefront
of our lives, and know thatthrough all things, we are
strengthened and we havedominion over the things in our
lives because God lives withinus.
Okay, so the next person I'mgoing to have come up and speak

(01:16:16):
and introduce their selves andtell a little bit about their
selves and what they have goingon coming up is Myla Marie.

Speaker 4 (01:16:27):
Okay, first of all, thank you for sharing your
platform with me.
I really, really believe it wasnothing but God that led me to
everything that you have goingon.
I mean, it just happened somiraculously in it Like I was in

(01:16:48):
, that I am in the waiting room, that I am in the waiting room
and for so long like I've beenfeeling unheard, and you gave me
that.
You shared your platform withme so that you know I can begin
to release what God has to sayand what he's been put there,

(01:17:08):
and so I appreciate you for that.
I love everybody that is onthis panel tonight.
Everybody has some beautifulanswers to the questions.
Hit the nail on the head, everybody.
I'm just so thankful to be inthe presence of so much wisdom.
You know God is good.

(01:17:31):
So I'm Myla Marie.
I'm a CEO.
I own my own real estatecompany.
Well, it's propertypreservation, but we do real
estate.
I'm also an author Amazonbestselling author.
My book is Elijah Awakened.
Jezebel Must Die, it's numberone in Christian church growth

(01:17:52):
for a long time.
And then I also just finishedmy first novel, which is the
Vanishing, which is a fictionnovel but is based on a true
story.
It's inspired by a true story,rather, and also I'm a mom of
three children 19, 17, 16.

(01:18:15):
And I own I'm a founder ofPurple Rivers in honor of
LaMesha Bazil, which is anonprofit that caters to the
lupus warriors, and I'm just soglad that God gave me the
opportunity to be a part of this, be a part of this devotional,

(01:18:37):
be a part of this panel and justreally sit in all of this
wisdom we had tonight.
It's been such an amazing night.
Yeah, thank you so much forhaving me.

Speaker 2 (01:18:53):
Oh, no problem.
No problem, and we are sograteful that you have decided
to come and join us.
Um, myla, myla Marie isactually the newest co-author in
the women of the waiting room, surgery for your soul,
devotional volume two, uh, whichwill be coming out late March.
Um, so we're excited to see herstory and all that she will be

(01:19:21):
giving us access to actuallyknowing about her and while
she's in her waiting season andin her waiting room right now.
So I'm excited to get hersubmission back.
I just I want to see what shegot cooking over there in the
waiting room.
I'm excited.
I'm actually excited to readall of these ladies' stories

(01:19:44):
that are actually coming up involume two.
So, thank you, myla.
I posted a video that I made forthe waiting room asking, you
know, doing an author call, because we are still accepting
submissions right now.
So if you want to be a part ofthe waiting room, I have one

(01:20:05):
spot left, one.
That's it.
I'm going to take one moreperson like pass, to say one
more.
I know it's one more out therewith a story.
So if you know someone whoprobably is never written before
or not, you don't have to be aprofessional writer, you don't
have to be a published author.
If you are someone with atestimony who just wants to

(01:20:28):
share your testimony, or how Goddelivered you from your waiting
season, how God covered you inthe midst of your storms, this
is the anthology for you.
We have a great publisher, payprov Publishing Laquita Parks
.
She will help you withone-on-ones to kind of perfect

(01:20:49):
your story and get it out.
I'm also available forconsultation calls as well to
help you kind of perfect and getthe thought from your mind to
the paper, and that's how youstart.
So thank you so much, myla.
Again.
Her nonprofit is called PurpleRivers Nonprofit.

(01:21:10):
Is that correct?

Speaker 4 (01:21:14):
Rivers, non-profit.
Is that correct?
Yes, it's Purple Rivers inhonor of Lamisha Bazile.
Okay, but it's um, it's onthere, it's Purple, purple
Rivers.
It's such a tongue twister, butit was given.
It was given by God.
So we was like, okay, that's it.

Speaker 2 (01:21:27):
Lila will put it in the comment section after this
live is over and she willactually put a link into the
comment section as well onFacebook, and you guys can click
on that link to find out moreabout her non-profit.
Next we have Tracy Adams.
Tracy, come on up, give us alittle bit more about you and

(01:21:48):
what you have going on.

Speaker 5 (01:21:51):
All right, good evening again, ladies.
Listen Linda podcast.
I'm Tracy Adams.
I am a creator and owner of TNALiterary Works Presents and
basically what my business is ispromoting and marketing the
projects that I'm working on.

(01:22:13):
My most recent projects thatI'm working on is I've written a
book called A Runner's Journeyand it's basically about my
journey as a runner over theyears and what running has done
for me over the years.
So that is coming out.

(01:22:34):
It's going to be live soon.
The sample is already done.
How William Met Mommy that'sthe sequel to my first published
book, how William Got His Wingsthat will be coming out live as
well, probably by the middle ofFebruary.
I'm looking at my baby girl.

(01:22:55):
Maya has written a book calledthe Sister's First Chores and
it's a story about her and herbig sister doing chores.
As I think Dr Audrey said, youknow you're always writing even
if you're not publishing.
Audrey said you know you'realways writing even if you're
not publishing.
But those are the publishingprojects that I have coming up

(01:23:21):
here soon during this firstquarter.
I'm also working on a book thatI wrote about my oldest girl is
called there's Nothing DreadfulAbout my Hair and it's a story
about her journey as she startedlocking her hair.
Her hair is down to her bottomalmost Beautiful, beautiful
story.
So that'll be coming out heresoon and I'm starting on.

(01:23:43):
I've already started ananthology.
It started off as anindependent book and it was
about my thoughts and mymemories of my mom.
She passed away.
July will be three years, threeyears that mama's been gone,
and it was just my thoughts andjust you know things that she

(01:24:06):
shared with me over the years.
But I decided to make it ananthology because so many of my
friends, sister Jackie, havelost their moms and for me it
was my way of getting throughthat grieving process.
You know a lot of people whenthey lose their mother.
You know they're just goingthrough it.

(01:24:27):
They're having a hard time, especially with the holidays
passing, and for me it was justan outlet.
When I think about my mother Ismile because she was a very
strong woman, a strong mother.
She raised seven of us, had tobury two of her children to gun
violence.

(01:24:47):
So just God is just.
He really blessed her.
You know she lived to be almost90 years old and so if you know
anybody, miss Jackie, I wouldlove for you to be part of that
project.
It's called Missing MommyMoments and I'm hoping, crossing
my fingers and praying, that wecan get that released by

(01:25:09):
Mother's Day.
I think it would be a wonderfulproject to release by Mother's
Day.
I think it would be a wonderfulproject to release by Mother's
Day.
My email is TNAliteraryworks atyahoocom and I'm going to post
my oh gosh, my link is very long.
It shouldn't be that long, butanyhow, click on it and you'll

(01:25:31):
be able to look at my otherprojects that I have going on,
and I appreciate you, ladies.

Speaker 2 (01:25:40):
Thank you so much.
Is this your email here?
Yes, ok, so you guys can emailTracy here and she will then
forward you Tracy here and shewill then forward you her
website.
Yes, okay, so I think thatwould be better.
Last, but certainly not least,my favorite, favorite, favorite

(01:26:05):
favorite, sandra Chi-Town telleverybody who you are and how
they can get in contact with youand what you have coming up.

Speaker 7 (01:26:21):
I'm on mute.
We hear you.
Okay, to keep this short andsweet, I am all things
healthcare, whether it'sresources or research, I'm all
things healthcare.
My website well, actually, mywebsite isn't on screen.
My website is wwwmedihelpscom.

(01:26:43):
Please make sure, if you'regoing to my website, that you
use that Z instead of the S.
You'll find a bunch ofinformation on there, a
reference to how busy we've beenand the things that we've been
doing to make sure all patientshave access to optimal
healthcare not just healthcare, but optimal healthcare.

(01:27:05):
That's our whole mission is tomake sure that each of us gets
that chance.
What I do want to close out withis three things.
First, let's continue to prayfor those who are in leadership
roles right now that they dowhat's right by all men, not
just by some, but by all men.
Let's also pray for thoseindividuals who were promised

(01:27:30):
federal jobs promised federaljob who, because of the hold on
hiring, don't have those jobsanymore.
I was just reading on LinkedInthe other day that there was a
nurse that left her job, soldher property in one part of the

(01:27:50):
state and moved to another partof the state, thinking that she
had a job at the VA, only to betold that she no longer had it
because they have a hiringfreeze.
So let's remember our workerswho are federal workers, who are
in jeopardy of losing theirjobs because we work, because we
have to work.
If we were millionaires orbillionaires, of course we would

(01:28:11):
work, but we would do adifferent kind of work.
But to get up each and everyday worried about the fact that
I don't have a job anymore, orlike the young lady sold
everything because she thoughtshe had a job of her lifetime to
come to find out that they hadto rescind the offer.
So let's make sure we do that.
And I do want to close out withtwo scriptures that are actually

(01:28:32):
a part of my new upcoming book.
And before I do that, thank you, miss Jackie, for having me
come on this evening.
I appreciate you and love youto bunches, that's a word, but
in my new up, and thank you forallowing me to be a part of the
devotional part one, I'm waitingfor you to roll out part three,

(01:28:52):
so by that time I'll be readyto be back.
This is it, though.
Two scriptures that I'm goingto read are taken from my
upcoming book your Voice, yourTool, a Guide to Becoming an
Empowered, engaged and EducatedPatient.
Hopefully it will be out by theend of this month.
I got the first revision back, but I had to make some changes,

(01:29:16):
so hopefully it'll be out withinthe next couple of days.
Actually, the first that I wantto read to you is this the mind
of man plans his way.
So we have people in officeright now that plan in their way
, but God directs their steps.
So that's taken from the NewKing James Version, proverbs,

(01:29:36):
chapter 16, verses 9.
And then I have the other onethat I want to read which says
be on your guard, stand firm inthe faith, be courageous, be
strong.
We all need to be strong now,in the next four years and even
further on to the future.
That's taken from firstcorinthians, new international

(01:29:59):
version, chapter 16, verse 13.
So please keep those words atyour heart, live by them so that
we can all get through thesetimes that we are upon us now.
God is in control.
Remember that.

Speaker 2 (01:30:24):
And for those of you who don't.
Thank you so much, sandra again.
For those of you who may havemissed it, elena Maria is no
longer on the screen.
She had to step away.
I want to give her a shout outand thank her for coming on and
being a part of this discussion.
You can find her.
All things, elena Maria.
Right now she is working on, Ithink, about three or four

(01:30:44):
movies that she is actuallystarring in, co-starring in.
She's also a part of the womenof the waiting room volume one,
the devotional, and volume two,the anthology.
She has a 10 book journal, um,that she's promoting, as well as
her new um up-and-coming book,mariah.

(01:31:07):
Two um and she has a number onebest-selling book, mariah, and
she has a number one bestselling book, mariah, and she's
all over the place.
Girl is awesome and you canfind her at ElenaMariacom.
I'm going to put her banner uphere so we can make sure that we
shout our sister out andwwwElenaamariacom.

(01:31:34):
Also.
I want to give a quick shoutout to the publisher of Listen.
Linda Presents the Women of theWaiting Room.
Sur books um.
She's um also published a lotof the women who are on this

(01:32:00):
panel tonight, books tracy adamsum um.
Dr audrey ann, a dead girlwalking um carolyn coleman.
She's working on some projectswith her as well, so we
definitely want to acknowledgeMiss Dr Laquita Chanel Parks for

(01:32:21):
her contribution to the womenof the waiting room, as well as
our journey from girls to women,in which I had the pleasure of
being a co-author in right here, had the pleasure of being a
co-author in right here me andTracy and Carolyn Coleman and

(01:32:45):
this book is out right now onall platforms.
But I would suggest that youpurchase it directly from me,
because it's my show, so you canbuy it right here at Young
Saved Leaders for $25 and put inyour name and email me at

(01:33:05):
classiedefined oryoungsavedleaders at gmailcom
and with your name and youraddress and I will ship it out
right to you as soon as possible$25.
Our journey from girls to women.
My chapter is called the me,you see, and it basically speaks
on my, my journey From being aChild born With Struggles, my

(01:33:37):
mom and my dad both addicted todrugs and just being homeless
and just going through lifealone and having a lot of things
happen to me and meeting myhusband, and then having to deal
with things as far as family isconcerned, and just finding out

(01:33:59):
who I am as a woman.
So my journey from a girl to awoman and evolving from not just
becoming a woman and a motherand a wife, but a woman of God,
and putting God in the forefrontof those things and how it can
just change your life for thebetter.
So it's an outstanding book.

(01:34:21):
It's over 25 amazing womeninvolved in this project and
Melissa Summers is actually theperson who did the foreword for
this book.
It's a phenomenal book 300pages of beautiful women.
