16. Brian and Alfredo, Bonding Over a Love of Soccer and Travel

Having begun their mentoring relationship during the Covid pandemic, Brian and Alfredo developed a deep friendship long before they actually met one another face-to-face. But when you speak with them now, it's clear why the Mentor 2.0 program is such an asset. And they have the added distinction of being selected as 2023's Mentor 2.0 Match of the Year, to boot. Both Brian and Alfredo share an enduring love of the sport of soccer, which was the beginning of their bond. And now, their friendship has grown to include career advice, travel, and an eye to this young man's bright future as he enters his senior year at Tenor High School.
