I started this podcast to discuss my personal journey through life. As human beings, we all share similar human experiences. I talk about relationships, human behavior, faith and how my personal experiences mold and change me into the person I am continually becoming. A lot of what we all feel and go through is relatable and I believe that sharing your experiences, even the painful ones, can help others cope and gain courage to do the same. Welcome to the "Little Talks with Big Nikki" family, we'd love to have you!
This podcast gets REAL everyone! The overall message I want to send to anyone listening is as follows:
People in your life are going to change up on you, so be ready for it. It will feel like it is out of left field, so you should allow yourself to be sad/hurt/upset/mad. A majority of the time, people who change up on you has nothing to do with you or anything you did, but everything to do with themselves and the hurts they are exp...

On this week's episode I'm talking about how I've been watching WAY too much Phineas & Ferb, shopping for a couch resulted in me feeling like a celebrity, a children's TV show has got me triggered, I just learned about Facebook Messenger for Kids and everyone has Hamilton fever! I'm sounding more and more like my parents and grandparents, even if I like watching children's shows, I feel like I'm becoming an older person.

Post Quarantine life has been CRAZY! On today's episode I'm talking about how I am not adjusting well due to a lack of a routine and how I've been lowkey on creating YouTube and Social Media content. So, I am catching everyone up on my life the past few weeks and why so much, but nothing, is happening at the same time. I don't think I'm the only one finding themselves on the struggle bus amidst a new found "normalcy."
I'm ...
I realize I will never say everything right, I realize I probably didn't cover everything I should've. I'm just being honest with my thoughts and feelings about the past weeks' events. It didn't feel right for me not to say anything on the topic of George Floyd, Black Lives Matter and the nation wide protests occurring in cities, including my home of Cleveland, Ohio. I hope that by utilizing my platform a continuing conversation wi...
Comparisons will cause you to either demean yourself or demean someone else in an effort to elevate yourself when you're not secure in your own lane. You need to stick to being you and being yourself without limiting your creativity. This is hard to do because you feel you have to fit in or follow others' leads. Accepting that you'll never be perfect and you will always think someone is more qualified, equipped, etc. is crucial to ...
Reputation precedes you and everyone you come into contact with will have a different idea of you. You have to take things you hear about others with a grain of salt and hope others do the same for you. On this episode we're talking about how referrals and recommendations can impact your reputation on a professional level and also influence your personal relationships.
This is a season for reflection no doubt and it came to my mind, "what is God trying to expose to you, about you?" Then I started thinking about why I am stressed recently, what the root of that really was. I traced it to the fact that I was scared and I was scared because I was exposed. Exposed to the fact that my spirit of self-reliance was becoming my downfall, the fact that I sometimes care too much about being known or being i...
I spent the week organizing, cleaning and finishing my Undergrad! Graduation is unfortunately not looking how I was hoping. Ever create an idea of something in your head and it didn't live up to expectations? Yeah, we as humans tend to do that a lot! We build a vision up in our minds of what we think something will be like and end up disappointed when it doesn't turn out how we thought. When we have to face the reality of a situati...
Talking in this episode about how those closest to you are the last to follow you. Also getting into why praying for the same thing over a length of time can become frustrating and disheartening when your not seeing results. Discouragement in your expectation and waiting can result in giving up, is a true cycle for really anything in life.
Discussing the results of an Instagram survey I took surrounding how people are feeling during the stay-at-home order. There seems to be a silent societal pressure that if you do not come out of this time differently, improved, having learned something new you have failed and wasted your time. In this episode of the podcast I am addressing whether the majority of people are actually feeling this way and why shaming people for not b...
"Foolish dreamers live in a world of illusion; wise realists plant their feet on the ground" ~Proverbs 14:18
Everyone looks at the world differently, copes with situations differently. Talking today from the perspective of Realist v. Optimist and how to communicate with those who have different outlooks on a situation. Watching the news for one person could be good for them because they feel better being informed, for some...
We Are All Going Through The Same Thing!
I am talking about the current state of our world, but more than that I am talking about how it's okay to have open and honest discussions about how this virus is affecting YOU on the micro, individual level. It is okay to be angry, scared, frustrated, anxious. Own it. Admit it. Talk about it. It's not complaining, it's expressing your feelings, WHICH ARE VALID! It's how you choose ...
Talking about how God is waiting to give you something better than what you have right now, but you just have to trust Him. Sometimes you have to give up something that is comfortable and familiar in order to gain something even more worthwhile. Every time without fail, He will leave the 99 to bring you back to Him.
Steven Furtick said it best, "If you talk to the wrong people about the right idea, your idea will die before it has the opportunity to conceive and give birth to what God's doing in your life." Cardi B talks about making Money Moves, but today we're talking about making Silent Moves! Not everyone needs to know everything right when it happens, sometimes you have to do things without seeking opinions from others. Silent Moves ...
It's hard to give to others when you get nothing in return. Reciprocity is a complex form of exchanging energies and never knowing if and how it will be reciprocated. I dive into this topic more in depth, but start where reciprocity, or the lack there of, is in it's most visible form- Instagram.
We're back and better than ever! 2020! New Decade, I'm talking resolutions! A re-brand of my podcast and YouTube channel and my own continual growth. Personal growth is difficult, an on-going process, because it's so easy to become complacent with yourself.
I talk about my thoughts surrounding the Christmas season. Sharing memories from my childhood, how much holidays have changed and why I feel like I'm not cut out to be in the Holiday spirit.
