In this episode, Sara talks about the chaos of information and misinformation bombarding us at every turn and the task of distinguishing true from false. The true north of getting through this, is listening to ourselves and our inner knowing. Sara gives the example of reading a story on social media and knowing deep inside that it couldn’t be true. After scrolling to the very bottom, she read “this is for entertainment purposes only. This did not really happen.” How many of us don’t scroll to the end? It is so hard to know what’s real and what isn’t. The toll this takes is huge. We start to not know and not trust anything. So, that is the time to take a pause, connect again with your inner self, and listen to answers that come to us when we are still. You will know what you know. For the new year, 2025, don’t get caught up in it all to the point where you question yourself. Question the information, not yourself. And when you connect to yourself, you can more easily connect with others. Here’s to a Happy 2025! Sara is going into it with the the way she lives her life: With Truth, Inspiration and Hope. We wish you a New Year of truth, clarity and trust in yourself! Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
