Speaker 3 (00:19):
Transmission waves
and laughter in the air tonight.
Speaker 2 (00:23):
Tune in, live free
and ham.
It's gonna be a sight.
Speaker 4 (00:27):
Well, good evening
everybody and welcome to another
Live Free and Ham livestream.
How's everybody doing tonight?
Speaker 5 (00:35):
It sounds like
court's in session.
Speaker 4 (00:37):
It is my friend.
We have instigated andinitiated ham court for some
very important things tonight.
But I'm looking forward topleading our case and we've come
prepared and we're ready, youknow, to bring all the facts to
light, for you know what we feelis an offense that has been,
you know, done against a brotherin the ham radio community.
(00:58):
So you know, we were, we'reready to gear up for that.
But oh man, I'm getting allfired up.
Being a lawyer, I'm not even alawyer myself.
So, anyway, as I continue, there we go.
We're just ramping up heretonight.
So, like I said, I'm Eric, yourlead prosecutor, and we're part
of the crack legal team that weare building a case.
(01:19):
Man, we're building a case fortonight and assembling everybody
and ham court because we wantto bring it into session.
And, as we said, you know wefeel like there's some offenses
out there that need to becorrected.
So you know, we're hopingthrough, you know our, you know
jury and judge and you know ourpeers we come out on top.
But you know, hey, we'll letyou guys decide.
(01:41):
So you know, I guess from thatstandpoint you, you know we
should kind of get into a littlebit of that.
But you know I'll, we'll pleadour case as we kind of go down
the line here, because we gottastill be somewhat official, I
think.
But yeah, who are we talking?
Speaker 5 (01:54):
we're live free and
ham guys right, there's nothing
official well, it wouldn't be alive, free and ham without you
know what, what was in your hamradio week, and something extra
with Todd.
Everything else is kind of youknow fluff.
Secondary.
Speaker 4 (02:10):
Yeah, exactly, it's
all.
It's all fluff, which which weall know we will get to in a
second or two, but you know thatthis is something that's got to
pay the bills and keep us thelights on, so so, so we'll get
into that a little bit.
But you know, it's kind offunny Cause it's like some of
you may obviously been, you know, caught the thumbnail and been
like you know, hey, I wonderwhat they're getting into.
(02:30):
And and you know so we kind offeel as we, the collective, we
as live free and ham community, you know we're deeply saddened.
You know there's been some realtough infractions against, uh,
you know fellow ham and brotherin the Hamily here who has
basically kind of rubbed me thewrong way.
I feel like there's been somereally strong, deep wedges.
(02:51):
And every time it's beenbrought to light with this
certain individual and we'llcall that certain individual the
plaintiff.
Tonight he's kind of decidedthat I think that merit and
performance-based ideas are waybetter than ever just accepting
them, of them being a general ortechnician or even an extra,
(03:11):
and give them all a fair shake.
And so, as us, the Live Free andHam corporate, we're big DEI
initiatives and obviously, withour DEI initiatives.
We've got our parachute Jesus,he is our number one success
story.
That's just the way it goes, you know.
So with that, we treat Randyand others like that in the same
(03:31):
way.
We all want everybody tounderstand that.
You know everybody's got astake at the table here to play
and enjoy ham radio at their ownpace and what they like to do,
without any, you know, shame orcondemnation, condemnation.
So yeah, we're going to getinto addressing that a little
bit more and we're going to putour case forth.
But you know, before we do that, like I said, uh, we got to get
(03:51):
into our usual stuff that keepsthe lights on here.
So let's kind of dive into thata little bit.
Uh, we got anybody in the chatwant to say hello to paul?
I mean, we've got about 15 sofar going, uh, but it's a pretty
chatty there there.
Anybody want to bring toattention Before we get into our
usual so ProBuzzard.
Speaker 5 (04:09):
What's up Chris
Berker?
What's up Chris Radio Life?
What's up Smoke Signals, donIzzo.
What's up Everybody else that'sin there?
I thought I saw Joe Brett inthere as well.
Speaker 4 (04:21):
Alright, nice, cool,
good to see everybody there.
Alright, well, let's dive intoour usuals here, because I'm
sure everybody's waiting forthis before our numbers start to
drop off again, as always.
Um, you know, everybody head onover to our storefront at
livefreehamcom forward slashshop.
You know we've got all of ourgreat merch over there, but we
always have our wonderfulwhiskey drams.
I have not filled mine up hereand I should just listen for my
(04:43):
face, you can see it.
Paul's got his fully, you know, stocked to the brim there and,
uh, you can pick up it makes iteasier to see that it does, and
and it also makes it easier todrink out of too, you know.
So, uh, you know they've beenselling fast and so we've got a
few left.
You're a duckist to go headover there, pick one up.
Definitely, go head over therebefore we run out.
(05:04):
And our last one, as we seePaul balancing ever so
delicately on his microphoneover there.
You got to get hammed.
Now, if you don't know whatthat is, you know head on over
to get hammedcom.
You can find out more there.
But basically it's the samepremise with the idea that you
know, hey, we're hams, we alllove our antennas.
I've been by cars that have 10ham sticks and different multi
(05:25):
configurations and, and you know, whip antennas that, you know,
span the globe.
But we all, like, are like man.
I'd love to be able to let thatguy know, or that girl know,
that you know, hey, they've gota cool setup.
Well, now you can do that.
You can pick up your smalllittle hamlets, you know, fill
out your call sign on the bottomthere, like Paul's got here,
and you can drop that anywhereon the dash, on the door handle,
(05:46):
on top of the roof, wherever.
And the nice part about this isthey're pigs and they're pink,
so they are easy to be caught bythe eye and the nice part about
is that I've done it myself andI love watching it, because I
kind of like drop them on thecar and then I'll sit in my
truck off to a distance and I'llwatch the whole thing kind of
transpire.
And it's kind of funny becauseit's like you know, they have no
idea what to do with it, butthey look at it and I think it
(06:07):
was pretty cool.
And then you know, lo andbehold, it becomes this little
you know pig that sits up ontheir dash.
And I've actually seen a coupleof cars so far that have two of
them that I've hit up a coupleof times.
So you know, you of grassrootsthing there you can head over to
gethamcom, pick your own pigsup, as we have had a bunch of
people already put in a coupleof large orders.
(06:28):
So you know, looking forward toseeing some of that feedback.
So if you've got them already, you know take pictures, post
them up on social media.
We'd love to be able to seethose pigs in action.
And you know, see how cool youknow it is to celebrate ham
radio and folks setups in theircars.
So with that, that kind ofwraps up the portion of paying
the bills there.
(06:48):
But we're going to get into oneof our usual segments that
everybody loves and we've gottenmega feedback on, and it's
going to be pretty sad when hefinally gets his extra, because
we can't keep testing him forextra at that point.
So, without any further ado forthose that have been waiting
patiently and listening to medrone on, and now a little
(07:14):
something extra with Todd WNSTJ.
Well, you've heard it here.
As always, this is where wehelp our buddy Todd study for
his extra class license.
Each episode we always pickthree questions from that extra
(07:34):
class question pool to test hisknowledge and hope he gets his
upgrade.
So, as always, if you want tofollow along and you're trying
to study for your test, you canalways head over to hamstudyorg.
It's an awesome resource and italways helps all of us prepare
for and is always recommended bythree out of four volunteer
examiners.
So you know, hey, if you'relooking to study or get your
(07:54):
upgrade, hamstudyorg is a greattool for that stuff, and that's
what Todd is doing himself andthat's what we use to test with
our questions here for somethingextra.
So, without any further delay, let's give it over to our VE
Quizmaster, paul.
Take it away, sir.
Speaker 5 (08:09):
All right, let's get
the proper layout.
That's not it.
There we go.
There we go Back to normal.
All right, todd, are youexcited?
We're sub-element number nine.
We're getting close to the end.
Speaker 1 (08:26):
Yeah, I forgot all
the other elements.
Speaker 5 (08:30):
All right, Well,
question number one for the
evening what is the purpose of aseries capacitor in a gamma
match?
Is it A to cancel unwantedinductive reactants?
Is it A To cancel unwantedinductive reactants.
B To transform the antennaimpedance to a higher value.
(08:51):
C To provide DC isolationbetween the feed line and the
antenna.
Speaker 4 (09:08):
Or D To provide a
rejection notch that prevents
the radiation of harmonics.
Speaker 1 (09:12):
Our favorite song
that Todd's going to need when
he actually takes the test.
I'm just going to put it on inthe background when I actually
take the test.
Speaker 4 (09:19):
Can we accommodate
things like that?
Does the VE team allow that?
Speaker 1 (09:23):
Music in the
background.
All right, oh man, I'm going tosay A to cancel unwanted
inductive reactants.
Speaker 4 (09:35):
I'm going to go with
C because I like C.
Speaker 5 (09:39):
All right, todd said
A and A is correct.
Great job.
So your explanation.
The PVC insulation that encasesthe center conductor of a
coaxial cable is within theouter tube.
That provides a seriescapacitance of some gamma-type
(10:01):
matching networks, of some gammamatching, gamma type matching
networks.
The inductive reactance iscanceled by the series
capacitance within the matchingnetwork, which?
Uh, this will lead to a definedresonance.
So your hint, matching network,is the answer.
Uh, memory tip the TV serieswas canceled by the network.
(10:23):
All right, which TV?
series canceled by the network.
All right, which TV series, allof them.
Speaker 1 (10:28):
Plenty of them, all
of them.
They're all canceled.
Speaker 4 (10:32):
There you go.
Speaker 5 (10:35):
The cancel culture is
back.
All right.
Todd Question number two.
What is the approximatephysical length of an air
insulated parallel conductortransmission line that is
electrically a half wavelengthlong at 14.1 megahertz?
Is it A 7 meters, b 13.3 meters, c 10.6 meters or D 8.3 meters,
(11:04):
c 10.6 meters or D 8.5 meters?
Speaker 1 (11:14):
gonna go with C 10.6
meters, better go with me, eric
come on big guy.
Of course it's all.
It's all in meters there.
Speaker 4 (11:28):
So I've got to do
Better.
Go with me, Eric.
Come on, big guy.
Of course it's all in metersthere, so I've got to do the
math.
I've got to figure out thefreedom unit conversion.
I don't know, I'll go with 10.6.
Speaker 5 (11:39):
10.6 is correct.
Speaker 4 (11:43):
Thanks for the layup
Todd I get the assist is correct
thanks for the layup, todd.
Speaker 5 (11:48):
So, uh, to explain it
, 14.1 is in the 20 meter band.
Half a wavelength isapproximately 10.63 meters.
The velocity factor of airinsulated parallel conductor
transmission line isapproximately one.
The physical length is nearlythe same as the electrical
length.
So, mathematically, 300 dividedby 14.1 equals 21.3 meters.
(12:14):
21.3 divided by 2 is 10.65meters, a silly way to remember.
10 is in the equation and theanswer.
Speaker 1 (12:27):
There you go there we
go simple, easy studied method
all right, I gotta get this one, eric, or we gotta hear the song
.
Speaker 4 (12:33):
I know right, come on
, man, it's pressure and this is
live too.
So you know you're doing prettygood.
No, you know you're not gonnafall apart.
Speaker 5 (12:39):
I didn't get them all
wrong like last live show, so
right I don't have to embarrassmyself and get the shame all
right todd the third and finalquestion of the evening.
What impedance does a halfwavelength transmission line
present to an rf generator whenthe line is shorted at the far
(13:03):
end?
Is it A very low impedance, bthe same as the output impedance
of the RF generator, c the sameas the characteristic impedance
of the line, or D very highimpedance.
Speaker 1 (13:30):
I'm going to go with
A.
Speaker 4 (13:34):
I'm going to get it
backwards.
I'm going to go D, just to bestubborn.
Speaker 5 (13:43):
And Buzzard says he's
got to get off his butt and
work on his upgrade.
I'll agree, roger, roger, allright.
Todd said a and a is correctgreat job.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
Wow, wow, wow wow all
right, so right before.
Speaker 1 (14:04):
You know what I was
doing right before we had this
Studying.
Speaker 5 (14:11):
All right.
To explain it real quick, thinkabout the question in terms of
amplitude profile of a standingwave in a transmission line.
At a half wavelength, the endof the transmission line matches
the amplitude of the input tothe transmission line.
When a standing wave exists assuch shorting it will take the
(14:32):
energy out of the standing waveand be seen as a short at the
generator, which is seen as alow impedance to current flow
when voltage is applied.
So, hint, half height that isshorted is very low.
There you go, no, no, no.
Speaker 4 (14:52):
And.
Speaker 1 (14:53):
I went over three,
right?
No, I had one layup.
I assisted you.
Either way, we don't get thesong.
Speaker 4 (15:03):
Yeah, well, you might
as well play it for me, just
because I like to hear it.
We'll be available in our storesoon, all right, well, as
always.
So if you're on the journey ofstudying for your technician
general extra class, or you wantto get off your butt and start
studying for your upgrade there, well then, you know,
(15:25):
hamstudyorg is an awesomeresource for getting your ticket
and, as we always say, everyepisode and even in our live
streams, you know, if yourecently received your license,
or maybe you got upgraded, likerandy just did and we're gonna
be talking about that in a bitum, let us know.
You know, we'd like torecognize you on the next
episode for your hard work andall the effort you put into it,
and you can always send that tous over at livefreeandham at
(15:45):
gmailcom, or you could alwayshit us up on discord or via our
text message or any one of ourother methods, like our, you
know, voice line number, whichis a great way to leave us a
message.
So, all right, well, with that, let's get into all seriousness.
My friends, you know we livefree in ham.
(16:08):
You know I think we've beenstruggling a little bit.
You know we've been wrestling,we've been petting this issue a
little bit, you know, but wedecided that we finally figured
that, you know, through all ofour attempts to get this
individual to see the light in adifferent way, we just need to
take them to ham court.
So tonight, fellas and folksall online, those that are in
(16:29):
our chat, our judge, our juries,we're here to plead our case,
we're here to help support Randy, and so let me kind of shape
this a little bit so you guysknow what's going on.
If you're new to the scene, youmight have not heard, or you
just came out from underneaththe rock.
I don't know what your callwill.
However, you want to look at it.
You know what we've done is.
(16:50):
You know we've we've heard thecries a while back.
We'll call the said personplaintiff.
You know we are looking toobviously put in a suit to fight
against him for, you know, basically slander against our
client, you know, and the waysof forcing him to follow a merit
and performance based, you know, structure, and that structure
(17:15):
basically is that he wouldn'taccept him to be on the show or
on any show of.
You know, a certain you knowshow.
We will fail to mention, butonly listen to the case docket
that you know show we will failto mention, but only list in the
, uh, you know case docket that,um, you know we wanted, uh, he
wanted to come on but hisbrother would not allow him to
uh, come on until he receivedhis extra, and so I felt that it
(17:36):
was like a major injustice.
You know, it took me a longtime to get my extra.
We'll, we'll say if you added,in the years I wasn't a ham it
would be about 20 years.
So, you know, randy, I thinkit's got a lot more, uh, you
know, less time on the the clockthere.
But, uh, you know, we, we feltthis the live free and ham, you
know hosts over here that youknow we needed to make sure that
randy, uh was definitely given, you know, the opportunity to
(17:59):
plead his case to be able to,you know, bring it to the light
and really just talk throughsome of these issues to get
people to understand that Shanemight have a different view, but
it's not the right view always, and that right view is
definitely keeping him fromexperiencing amazing things like
being a host on AmarilloClubhouse.
(18:20):
I mean to say that he was goingto not allow him to come on the
show because he wasn't an extrato me is just utter, utter
ridiculousness.
And so that is just one of manyexamples that you know I'm
going to cite tonight to proveour case.
And we brought on an arsenal ofwitnesses and other, hopefully,
(18:43):
folks to come in to helpsupport Randy and his support,
all with the idea to hopefullyturn, you know, shane in a
different light, to understandthat you know, no matter what
level of technician, what levelof license you are, that you
literally are welcome in thisham community, no matter what.
And so, with that, I think, youknow, before I add and start
into this, you guys want to haveit add anything to that.
(19:03):
I think you know, before I addand start into this, you guys
want to have it add anything tothis whole process.
Or, you know, bring to light.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
All I got to say is I
was added to the ham radio
clubhouse and I wasn't an extra.
Speaker 4 (19:18):
Well, true, yes, but
we accepted you as a general, my
friend and you embrace it.
Speaker 2 (19:22):
Yes, I do accepted
you as a general, my friend and
you embrace it I do.
Speaker 5 (19:26):
Well, all I gotta say
is that, as one of the VEs in
both his general exam and hisextra, it truly is a crime
against humanity that Shanewould judge his brother in this
way, so unfair and so hurtfulJustice must be served.
Speaker 4 (19:49):
I couldn't borrow the
espca logo because there's too
many copyright.
The sad music was close enough,so all right.
Well, so with that I I thinkwe're going to bring on our
client, because we feel he canbest describe some of his pain
and anguish and struggle in thisprocess, and bring to the table
(20:14):
his case because we feel it'sdefinitely warranted.
And we look to you guys in thechat, you guys out there in
YouTube space, to help rule inthe right side of the law when
it comes to Hamcourt.
So, without further ado, let'sbring Randy in here and say
hello to Randy.
How's it going?
Speaker 6 (20:31):
Randy, hey guys Doing
good.
Speaker 4 (20:35):
Well, welcome and
thank you for taking time out of
your busy day to come hang outwith us and just obviously shane
a little bit in this wholeprocess, because it is, you know
, ham cord after all.
But, um, either way, I you know, I'll leave the floor to you.
You know how?
Where is your heart right now?
How are, how are you dealingwith all this pain and anguish?
Speaker 6 (20:55):
I mean, it's been
mostly a challenge really, just
to get my extra, just so I can,you know, hang out with him on
the show, but, um, I mean youwon't even give me a kidney
without getting my extra.
I know that was kind of rough, wow oh my oh, I did forget about
that.
Speaker 4 (21:11):
Yes, we'll have to
add that to the the overall uh
plea.
There won't even donate bodyparts, man.
That's horrible.
So so, so, talk to us a littlebit.
So, so, obviously, you know, there's obviously a different
age difference there, but inessence, um, shane, I assume,
had his ticket a little bit.
So obviously, there's obviouslya different age difference
there.
But in essence, shane, I assumehad his ticket a little bit
before you got yours.
What's the backstory to thatkind of?
Speaker 6 (21:33):
process.
He had his tech back in 2006, Ithink, Upgraded six years ago.
Seven years ago, somewhere inthere, he took me out to do POTL
once and then apparently hesold me the radio right after,
so I think that was after hedropped it, but you know.
Yep, well, yeah, I've beentrying to do radio stuff ever
(21:56):
since, but he doesn't have aradio to take me out or anything
, and yeah.
Speaker 5 (22:00):
Well, not only do I
own that radio, but I will let
you use it.
And when the judge comesforward, I have a motion that
you should be an honorary hostof Live Free at Ham, because you
know we are all inclusive here.
I mean, look, I'm on the showand I'm a freaking retard.
Speaker 4 (22:27):
And I'm a general and
they let'm on the show and I'm
a freaking retard and I'm ageneral and they let me on the
show and, heck, they give me thehosting privileges.
So that doesn't really mean awhole lot anyway.
So so so just the backstory.
Obviously you, you know he hestarted in the hobby.
Did you just kind of followsuit because he took you out to
a podo, or was it something thatyou saw him doing that you
thought you wanted to do?
Speaker 6 (22:48):
Yeah, so we started
doing storm chasing back in the
day.
I kind of wanted to be able tocommunicate with other chasers,
monitor the NOAA channels ifwe're no cell coverage.
I eventually got my first bowthing, basically the basic
starter for all hands, it seemslike.
Speaker 4 (23:06):
Did Shane make you
buy that yourself, or did he
help?
Speaker 6 (23:09):
No, he, he, he
suggested it.
But yeah, I definitely had topurchase that myself.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Yeah, he's given away
more radios, better radios than
that, just his, his viewers.
I can't believe he made you buyyour first bow thing.
He probably has a whole back.
He probably has a whole closetfull of them in his you know,
just sitting there in a bin.
Yes he probably didn't want topay the shipping right if
(23:37):
minimum, yeah, so, okay, allright.
Speaker 4 (23:41):
so you kind of
started on technician storm
chasing and then you got alittle further into the hobby
there, and so did he, you know, entice you to come to a podo, or
do you ask him?
How did that process work foryou?
Was it more like, you know, youhad to prod him forward to get
him to take you out, or did hejust, you know, encourage you to
go with him?
Speaker 6 (24:00):
So yeah, I didn't
even know it was a thing until
he actually took me out for thefirst time.
So it was a whole new Newtonexperience.
I really enjoyed it.
We didn't have a big pileup towork or anything, but it was
interesting just having toprocess call signs, log them,
you know, just do the wholething, and that really got me
into it.
Speaker 4 (24:18):
So did he let you
touch the mic at all, Like did
you just have to sit there andlog.
Speaker 6 (24:22):
I got to work under
his, under his call sign okay.
Speaker 4 (24:25):
So he didn't even
take you on the 10 meter band,
he didn't even let you.
You know, get and make your owncontacts honestly, I don't.
Speaker 6 (24:30):
I didn't even know
what bands we were on actually
that was.
Oh man, he kept all that hiddenoh my gosh, that's.
Speaker 4 (24:35):
That's sad if he
wouldn't even allow you to get
that further down the you know, with your own privileges and
whatnot.
Speaker 1 (24:41):
It's, it's, it's a,
it's a you know, get your
contact on 10 meters.
That would have been nice ofthem so all right, so continue
on.
Speaker 4 (24:50):
So you obviously got
to technician for a little while
and you know you started, youknow, uh, getting into the hobby
.
Uh, you know what uh anythingelse along the way did shane,
you know kind of try to elmeryou a bit at all, or you know he
just kind of keep you, uh youknow, at arm's length a bit so I
mean, he's been, he's been kindof ragging me to get my tech
for a while.
Speaker 6 (25:08):
Um, I got my gmrs
license back in october and that
was just for you know, communicating friends around
town, um, people at you knowraces that I work, uh, for f1,
um, but eventually I just likeyou know what I feel like I need
I want to get to get some HF.
So then I went ahead and get my, got my technician's license,
um, and then we went out for ameeting.
(25:30):
Uh, david I think he's in chatwe, uh, we went up to Missouri
for a trip and we're coming backand say, hey, let's stop at a
park, we'll do some POTA.
And uh, it was quickly decidedthat, you know, I decided that,
you know, this little sliver of10 meters just was not enough.
So I upgraded general and got alot more, a lot more use of the
bands there.
Speaker 4 (25:50):
So and then Did he
leave you out in the cold,
though I mean, obviously youdidn't have a radio, so you
obviously had to go find yourown HF equipment and stuff like
that, or what did that look like?
Speaker 6 (26:00):
David's actually been
helping out.
Speaker 4 (26:06):
He got a radio and
I've been kind of working on his
stuff when he's over and we'reout doing stuff, so, but I
should have a radio this Fridayand any involvement in Shane's
help with that at all, or was itmostly just your decision?
Speaker 6 (26:14):
you know making
process with help of Dave or,
okay, not a whole lot of helpfrom Shane on that one and okay.
Speaker 4 (26:21):
So it seems that
obviously you know, we've had,
you know, many, many cases whereShane has not stepped up to be
a great brother and helping you.
Speaker 1 (26:30):
He's definitely not
on the list of brother of the
year.
Speaker 4 (26:32):
That's for sure, oh
yeah, he struggled for that
title.
You know, I understand, youknow, in desperation there's.
There's one instance that Ithink is very much been brought
to Shane's attention severaltimes where you know he has left
his own brother out in the coldin terms of helping him try to
(26:54):
acquire radios and stuff thatyou reached out to another
fellow ham, literally in youknow other part of Texas and you
know he he welcomed youwholeheartedly, you know, even
considered you one of his ownbrothers.
You know what was thatexperience for you, I mean in
comparison to, you know, havingnothing come back from you know,
your your own brother, with ayou know, a little bit of help
there.
Speaker 6 (27:14):
Well, I mean, I mean
the first first step, that I got
my technician from the streamof the clubhouse.
I mean, mike was even offeringme to send me a radio battery,
whatever I needed.
So, wow, uh, I got so muchsupport from him and you know
nothing from the other side sideof the side of the room here.
Speaker 4 (27:31):
So I mean, uh, but
yeah, okay, well, I am, you know
.
It's just all of the.
The facts are just starting tobuild up here, guys, I mean this
is going to be a slam dunk case, I think.
Speaker 5 (27:42):
Well, so now that the
case has been made, should we
bring the judge into the room?
Speaker 4 (27:47):
Yeah.
So we have invited many othershere and so there's definitely
kind of a mixed bag here.
Folks, we've got some supportfolks that we brought in to help
bring Randy into the fold andshow him that we all care, no
matter what level license he'sat.
But then there's a few herethat obviously have come to
(28:09):
support the plaintiff.
We'll say so, we're going tobring that person in here and
see what he has to say for otherreasons here.
So we bring in Izzo here and weall know Izzo personally, but
the court recognizes iso.
Um, how how do you, you know, how do you plead your case for
(28:29):
said shane here?
You know, because you obviouslyhave, uh, you know him the
longest, I guarantee you allright, if you guys remember
colonel potter from the showmash, I'm calling horse hockey
bullshit.
Speaker 7 (28:40):
Right I am.
I have been in.
I have been in the hallway ofthe courthouse and I have been
pacing up and down.
Hang on, I need to check myblood pressure.
Hang on, let me check my smartwatch.
Oh my god, look at this.
It's reading the bullshitmonitor level he's fired up I
have got questions.
(29:01):
I have got questions to defendmy friend and my client Shane.
I have questions.
Speaker 4 (29:11):
Well then if you've
got plenty of questions.
Allow yourself to elaborate atleast on one of those questions,
because I'm sure our chat isall ears to hearing why we
should defend such a you know, aperson who has been so hurtful.
Speaker 7 (29:26):
Well, randy, on
behalf of my client who has not
paid me.
Okay, yes, you did send me somecigars for a radio that was
offered to you, am I right?
But you declined the radio.
Is that a correct statement?
That is not.
I'm not done yet, but who paidfor those cigars?
(29:52):
Did you buy those cigars?
Speaker 6 (29:55):
I did not, you did
not.
Why did you buy those?
Speaker 7 (29:58):
cigars.
You can't handle the truth, andI'm not even done yet.
Why did you not buy thosecigars?
Speaker 6 (30:07):
I had no idea about
the deal.
I mean hell, I didn't.
Speaker 7 (30:11):
You had no idea of a
deal.
Wait, wait, wait.
Shane, is your brother, correct?
I want to make sure we'retalking about you.
Share some blood somewhere inthat DNA, right?
Or is it DNA in the blood?
I forget what it is, it doesn'tmake a difference.
Speaker 4 (30:26):
This is not about
biology are you submitting that
as evidence or something?
Speaker 7 (30:30):
yes, yes, I already
I'm.
I'm waiting for for questdiagnostics blood tests to be
coming back to ensure that thesetwo are even brothers, but it
doesn't make a difference.
Speaker 4 (30:41):
I am going to have to
put a a stop to you right now
because, in essence, we have tobring in another critical
support.
Speaker 7 (30:49):
I got questions.
I still got more.
Speaker 4 (30:51):
Steve, you have come,
hopefully come prepared with
you know, enough support for apoor Randy here as a.
You know Izzo tries to drag himthrough his name through the
mud.
Look at that.
So he knows.
Speaker 6 (31:05):
And the shirt.
He at that hat.
I had to wear the hat.
Speaker 7 (31:07):
And the shirt.
Oh my gosh, he is in fulluniform.
Full uniform, but I guess, ifyou notice, I am not wearing my
hat or my t-shirt tonight, haveyou noticed?
I am not wearing.
Speaker 2 (31:19):
You are out of order,
sir.
Speaker 7 (31:23):
Alright, I'll wait my
turn.
Speaker 4 (31:25):
Shane uh sorry, steve
, welcome sorry.
Speaker 3 (31:29):
Hey, hey now, hey now
I always stood up for randy uh,
I said it didn't matter.
He tested with glorg from thefrom the get-go, you know.
No, it wasn't a clubhousesession, but he didn't reach out
to me for a clubhouse session.
Speaker 6 (31:43):
But I blame that on
reach out to me for a clubhouse
session.
Speaker 3 (31:45):
But I blame that on
Shane, but he did pass, right he
did pass.
He did pass.
Speaker 4 (31:49):
Yep, okay.
So it really doesn't matter whotests him per se, as long as he
is successful in the nature ofreaching his goal, which we all
want to celebrate here.
And first and foremost, as Ibring as evidence you know, part
number one here, you know hedid pass his extra successfully
and yet our you know lovelyShane did not recognize it
(32:12):
whatsoever for weeks, as far asI understand from the point,
from when, you know, randy gothis you know official notice
that he had upgraded.
Is that not true?
Speaker 3 (32:19):
Well, we're going on
week two, but to to defend my
brother Shane, he wasn't on theshow last week to announce it
True.
Speaker 4 (32:30):
But by whose fault?
Speaker 3 (32:31):
He was crying about
something, about he was being
sick or something I don't know.
Speaker 4 (32:36):
Did you see my 3,000
subscriber giveaway?
I was near death and I stillshowed up for my own 3,000
subscriber giveaway.
What's his complaint?
Speaker 3 (32:44):
Yeah, I think he
spent more time in the balloon
than he is on radio.
Speaker 7 (32:50):
No, I have to ask no,
no, no, wait a minute now.
Brother Steve, you seem to havemade a very legible point, if
that's the word legible, okay, but haven't we all been sick?
There have been times when Ihave been sick, am I correct?
You have been sick, wait, wait, wait, I'm not.
You have been sick, correct?
(33:10):
Oh yeah, paul.
Paul, when was the last timeyou got sick?
Speaker 5 (33:15):
I don't know.
Speaker 7 (33:18):
Paul's sick right now
.
He got sick right now fromhearing all this just horse
hockey.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
No, I've seen the
stuff he posted Clubhouse.
Speaker 7 (33:26):
Everybody here has
been sick at one point or
another, and that's my point, that is the point we all have.
We all get sick.
You want to talk?
Speaker 1 (33:38):
the truth.
You can't handle it.
What about the week before?
That?
Was Shane on then.
Speaker 3 (33:44):
Yes, he was, but why
didn't he announce it?
Wait a minute, because Randyhadn't passed yet Correct oh
okay.
Speaker 7 (33:54):
And wasn't Shane
there?
Now, steve, you were part ofSteve.
According to your testimony, you state that is it.
Glark Yep Handled this session.
Who was there for VE's?
Speaker 3 (34:11):
Oh, I would have to
pull it up, but I'm on the phone
that I can pull it up on.
I was there.
Speaker 7 (34:17):
Most importantly was
Shane there.
Speaker 3 (34:21):
So, technically,
shane was not there.
However, shane was not there.
However, what Shane was in mymain room to be there for
anybody that showed up.
Speaker 7 (34:33):
Oh, wait a minute.
And who was there?
Who was there?
Who showed up?
Randy, carlos, carlos, itdoesn't matter, he could have
been there for Randy, it couldhave been for anybody.
My point, your Honor, is he wassupporting his brother, randy,
as well as everybody else, equally, because that's what we
(34:53):
do For legality reasons.
Speaker 3 (34:56):
Shane was not there.
Speaker 7 (35:01):
Part 97, shane was
not allowed to be part of the
session because Randy is hisbrother allowed to be part of
the session because Randy is hisbrother.
Speaker 1 (35:08):
So this part of the
testimony has to be thrown out
immediately, Just so you guysknow that question is actually
on the extra exam.
Speaker 7 (35:16):
You better get that
one right.
Speaker 4 (35:20):
Don't ask him how he
knows.
Speaker 3 (35:22):
He's still a general,
so he's still staying for a
second.
I'm waiting for that phone calland when you're ready to take
it.
Speaker 7 (35:29):
So, we're getting
there I just missed this
question totally from anyfurther discussion.
Your Honor and I suggest thatwe move on, because I have
pertinent information to showthat Randy is an excellent
individual and that is not whatwe are contesting.
We are not contesting Randy fortheir love of the family who
(35:50):
dropped the radio, but to showthat Shane is supporting his
brother.
Speaker 3 (35:59):
I want to say there's
more harassment than support in
that session.
Speaker 4 (36:03):
Yes, I would say.
I would say there's moreharassment than support in that
session.
Speaker 7 (36:05):
Yes, I would say it
was.
No, that is subjective to yourcomprehension and to your
opinion.
There are six of us here.
Okay, we all have an opinion.
Wait, wait, we all have anopinion.
Will Todd pass his extra?
We all have an opinion.
Speaker 4 (36:20):
Not now I cite the
fact that I submitted the case
purely on the fact that it was abasically merit and performance
based approach and in Shane'smind it was, randy was not able
to meet or even get to the level, in Shane's mind, of being an
extra and that he would never, ever be able to achieve that bar
.
So therefore he always wouldlook down on Randy and that is
(36:42):
not how we treat each other inthe ham community.
However, we should be liftingour brothers up.
Speaker 7 (36:47):
Okay, you make a
valid point, but I'm going to go
a little bit higher.
See, you're here and I'm okay.
Speaker 4 (36:52):
See, I've been
watching suits.
You're still visually below me.
Speaker 7 (36:56):
No, no, no, no, I've
been watching suits on Netflix.
Speaker 1 (36:59):
Hey, you're a little
late to the party.
That's like what?
10 years?
Speaker 7 (37:01):
old.
Speaker 3 (37:01):
I know, I know, but
it doesn't make a difference.
Speaker 7 (37:04):
It's still a good
show Todd Todd.
Speaker 3 (37:06):
I haven't gotten my
extra yet either.
Speaker 7 (37:08):
Todd, like you, I'm a
general, but it doesn't make a
difference.
So what if we're late to theparty?
The point is that we're goodpeople Correct.
Todd, correct, thank you.
I want you tackle one of thethings and M2MAK, I think I've
(37:33):
oh, he got his wish.
Speaker 4 (37:35):
His mic went dead.
How did Mike do that?
My gosh, he's amazing.
Where'd?
Your mic go there, you go Now.
Speaker 7 (37:43):
You're good A
statement was made about the
GMRS license.
Speaker 6 (37:48):
Randy.
Speaker 7 (37:48):
I have to ask you how
did?
Speaker 3 (37:57):
The mic goes out
again.
Speaker 4 (37:58):
I love it.
Speaker 7 (38:00):
We we're gonna strike
that from the record those are
you who are playing with themicrophone in the master
settings not I, I, you know, I'mjust.
I don't want to hear that Idon't want to hear about,
because if that occurs one moretime, then this, then this whole
thing will be a.
I don't want to hear abouttechnical difficulties, I'm just
a guest, because if that occursone more time, then this whole
(38:21):
thing will be a completemistrial and there will be no
winners.
Speaker 4 (38:24):
There are plenty of
other evidence that we can bring
to the table that we still haveto work through, and I have it
right here.
Speaker 7 (38:28):
I've been taking
notes.
I've been taking notes becauseI have that short-term memory
loss.
I can't remember, whatever itis.
Speaker 6 (38:34):
CRS.
Speaker 4 (38:38):
It memory loss can't
remember uh, whatever it's
Speaker 7 (38:39):
whatever, yeah, yeah,
it's not.
Speaker 3 (38:41):
It's not cialis,
trust me it's definitely not
cialis, okay, so listen.
We can't say what it is on thisshow oh yeah, we can.
Speaker 4 (38:47):
We're past for 30
minute mark, okay so it was
mentioned early.
Speaker 7 (38:51):
So, randy, I want to
ask you how did you learn about
gmrs?
Did sh Shane ever mention thewords to you about?
Not him radio communicationsabout this other radio service
called GMRS?
At any time did he talk to youabout this?
Speaker 6 (39:08):
Prior to me getting
my license?
That would be a no.
Speaker 7 (39:11):
It has nothing to do
with prior to or after, but he
has talked to you about GMRS,correct A little bit.
No bit, no, no, no, no no no,no, wait a minute a little is
subjective again.
Once again, it's subjectivewhether it's five words or it's
it's is?
Speaker 5 (39:28):
is gmrs killing ham
radio?
Speaker 7 (39:32):
me, I don't know.
Well then, get to your pointsir my point is this as I, as I,
as I, move along randy, thereis randy mentions hey, shane, I
got you, man, I got you.
Okay, because, guess what?
Because just remember, and Ipointed out shane earlier, okay,
(39:53):
and I will get further detailthat Randy did not buy or
purchase cigars for the sale ofa radio.
Okay, we're just going toremember that as we come around
the clock, okay, so, randy, youmentioned that, you and Shane,
shane, how many times did youand Shane go out for Parks on
(40:15):
the Air P, air poda, commonlyknown as poda?
once, I think he only said onesir okay, and that's okay,
because some and randy, wouldyou consider yourself yourself a
smart individual?
Absolutely, there you go.
So one time is maybe all hereally needs.
Okay, but that's okay, becausetwo is great, three is even
(40:35):
better, et cetera, et cetera.
Okay, but Randy, at any timeduring that poda, randy, at any
time when the time you guys gottogether in said vehicle got to
the park returned, at any timedid you ever ask my client can
(40:56):
you please explain thesedifferent things called the ham
bands?
Did you ever ask him any ofthat question?
Nope.
Speaker 6 (41:04):
Why not.
Speaker 7 (41:04):
But why not?
Because at that time you werenot a ham radio operator.
I say fear.
Speaker 4 (41:10):
I say fear in the
fact that he's scared of his own
brother asking a simplequestion your honor the man who
thinks he's above me is ownbrother asking a simple question
.
Speaker 7 (41:17):
Your Honor the man
who thinks he's above me is
putting words into Randy's mouth.
Speaker 1 (41:23):
He is above you.
Speaker 4 (41:32):
You're cutting out
there, Steve.
Speaker 7 (41:35):
We got to strike it
right there.
All of Steve's comments are heis not legible.
It cannot be.
The court's sonographer cannotcomprehend what is happening
here.
Speaker 4 (41:48):
All right, Steve.
Speaker 3 (41:51):
My phone's over here.
Speaker 4 (41:54):
Oh great, I'll get
you guys back, I see.
So I have to point out to thecourt and to everybody here
currently um, you know, obviously shane is in the chat
and shane, hopefully you'regetting him is a pro bono,
because if you're paying himmoney, you're really, you know
you're not getting your money'sworth.
Speaker 7 (42:11):
That's all I have oh,
he will wait, I'm not done yet.
I am not done yet.
Let me tell you, I am theJohnny Cochran right now.
He's dead, isn't he?
Speaker 1 (42:24):
Or Matlock.
Speaker 7 (42:26):
Matlock.
Speaker 3 (42:29):
Well, if we're going
to put it in the right, time
frame.
Speaker 4 (42:32):
Say later Steve.
Speaker 7 (42:34):
Was it Andy Griffin,
a lawyer?
What did Andy Griffin play?
He was a sheriff.
No, no, but he played as alawyer.
He played in a lawyer show.
Towards the end he always hadthat white or that blue suit
jacket.
Anyway, that's besides thepoint.
There's a lot of besides thepoints here, Randy, at any time
you ever get to a point.
Yes, the point is this Randy,at any time, did you say?
(42:57):
Shane, can you please explainsomething to me About ham bands,
because the comment was madethat he didn't allow you to get
on the 10 meter band For you toparticipate on, but he was still
being what was called what?
Todd the control?
Hey, Todd question what does acontrol operator do, todd?
Speaker 1 (43:16):
He controls the radio
Out of order, sir.
Speaker 7 (43:20):
Exactly he allows a
non-ham participant to operate
under the license of the controloperator.
Speaker 4 (43:28):
However, I cite the
fact that he did have his
technician license when he didgo do this.
Polar Correct, Randy.
Speaker 6 (43:35):
Shane did, I did not.
Speaker 4 (43:36):
Oh, okay, my mistake,
I retract that.
Speaker 7 (43:39):
That's right.
Speaker 1 (43:39):
Many more mistakes,
shane only had his technician
license and he was out doingpoter.
Speaker 4 (43:50):
Burn him, burn him.
Speaker 2 (43:53):
You're not talking
about me.
Speaker 7 (43:54):
The only thing
burning right now is a damn good
cigar.
The inch from EP Gorilla.
Speaker 4 (44:00):
So let's circle back
on that question there, todd, so
you were saying that at thetime when you guys did a poda,
shane was also a said technician, or was he general?
Speaker 6 (44:10):
I'm not sure if he
had upgraded.
Speaker 7 (44:12):
Oh, you don't even
know, but this is your brother.
Speaker 6 (44:14):
It was so long ago.
Speaker 7 (44:15):
It was so long ago.
It was so long ago.
What did I have for dinnerthree nights ago?
I don't remember.
It was so long ago.
I totally agree.
Speaker 4 (44:25):
A GMSR ninja.
What does that constitute?
There, said Shane.
I'm not familiar with thatterminology.
Does he go around in the middleof the night in a black outfit
talking on the radio, or what?
Speaker 5 (44:38):
Only on Channel 14.
Exactly right, only on 7.
Speaker 4 (44:45):
I can only imagine.
Speaker 7 (44:47):
So another comment
was made.
Oh, wait a minute, I may haveto mute my microphone because
the police are coming in toarrest this.
I forget the adjective.
Anyway, there was a commentmade about a VHF, uhf portable
not being provided to you.
(45:08):
Is that correct?
Tonight, yes, shane made himbuy his first bow fang.
Speaker 2 (45:15):
He doesn't have a
bunch of them tonight.
Speaker 1 (45:16):
I was saying Shane
made him buy his first bow fang,
like he doesn't have a bunch ofthem in his.
Speaker 7 (45:22):
Todd, were you there
in the home or part of the?
I'm just, the facts are.
Speaker 1 (45:30):
Randy had to buy his
first bow fang.
You're telling me Shane doesn'thave a spare bow fang laying
around the house that he couldhave sent to his brother your
honor.
Speaker 7 (45:41):
The man up there in
the corner recognizes whiskey.
One sierra tango juliet todddoes not was not truly part of
that conversation between shaneand randy, so how could his
statements be consideredaccurate in this?
Speaker 4 (45:54):
because, based on
attorney client privilege,
that's the information randy hasshared with us and therefore we
are sharing with you.
Speaker 5 (46:04):
I would like to
present into evidence the the
footage of the 2,000 subscribergiveaway that I did on my
channel, where I gave away a bowfang just out of the
graciousness of my heart to abrand-new technician that was in
the chat for the very firsttime.
We had never had any knowledgeof one another prior to that
(46:27):
evening, nor was he my brother, and I sent him a free Baofeng to
say congratulations for gettingyour technician.
Speaker 7 (46:36):
That is very
honorable and very sweet.
Now I'm going to go watch aShirley Temple movie.
However, though I bet you guysdon't know you talk about your
goodwill.
Let me explain the goodwill ofa guy I know in Connecticut who
had key words, had an ICOM 706.
(46:57):
He cleaned it all up, eventhough it was already cleaned,
but he just wanted to make sure, ran it up a few times making
sure it was working, because hewas getting ready to send it to
Texas.
Randy, do you live in Texas?
I do, yes, he does.
Did you send that?
Speaker 5 (47:13):
radio to Randy.
Speaker 7 (47:15):
No, because it was
all getting ready to as well.
Hold on, mr Eric, and 1J, youare, there's more and there will
be a point.
It was going to the point isthis it was going to be a
surprise for Randy at leastinitially what I thought and the
sale of that was such ascreaming deal.
(47:37):
We didn't sell it for 900.
I used radio for 900, 800, 700,600, not even 500, not even 400
and not even 300.
Okay, Okay, it was for a box ofcigars that were, you know,
great, great cigars, but notoverly priced, Okay.
(47:58):
And on top of it the seller ofthis radio spent a tremendous
amount of money in shipping andpackaging to ensure it arrived
in Texas in one shape, Not likeit had fallen off a tailgate in
another episode that we're notgoing to discuss right now.
Speaker 4 (48:16):
It sounds like this
is just a civil case.
It's just outside of thisfamily adoption case that we're
trying to discuss here thisevening because, you know, based
off of what shane has posted,he's wondering why the thumbnail
looks like a custody battlebecause, in essence, you've left
your brother out in the coldthere, my friend, you refuse to
welcome him into the hobby andtherefore the live, free and ham
community has embracedobjection.
Speaker 7 (48:36):
Objection horse
hockey, horse hockey.
Horse hockey per colonel potter.
Horse hockey, randy.
Do you and shane celebratevarious uh events throughout the
year holidays, birthdays, barmitzvahs, christmases, whatever
yeah, yeah, see, even the dogsare getting riled up.
Speaker 4 (48:55):
Oh wait a minute.
Speaker 7 (48:56):
Randy, wait, wait.
Randy is a dog owner and a doglover, just like his brother,
shane, dog owner, dog lover.
And Randy, I'll bet you youtake wonderful care of your
animals.
I heard you prefer cats, justlike your brother.
Speaker 1 (49:11):
What does that have
to do with Randy?
It shows a bond that they havetodd todd go back to care for
animals, element what is thedogs have to do with ham radio
and him not being allowed to beon club house until he gets his
extra, and then he gets hisextra and he doesn't even let
(49:33):
anyone know that his brotherearned his extra.
It's, it's all.
It's all pedantic batteringbantering right.
Speaker 4 (49:41):
The motion on the
floor to to the the, the judge
and jury in the chat is forrandy to become an honorary host
of live brain ham, because weaccept him here, so so before we
allow that motion to hit thefloor there, we have additional
support that has come to help tocome to Randy's aid here and
(50:02):
we're going to bring the saidindividual in to hopefully shed
some amazing truths to yourdefense that's full of holes.
Speaker 5 (50:11):
You hope he's here at
Randy's defense.
Speaker 7 (50:16):
The only thing that
is full of it's good cheese from
new hampshire.
That's the only thing that isfull, full of holes here, and I
like new hampshire cheese.
Let that be on the record joewelcome sir.
Speaker 4 (50:26):
How are you?
Speaker 2 (50:27):
good, how are you?
Good first I want to say thankyou for the payment, but I spent
it on a bright green todayinstead of you didn't wear the
the official live free and hamuniform like steve did.
No, I'm sorry hat stays in thecar with me for when I really
need it.
You know, it comes in, comes inhandy excellent well, good to
(50:48):
hear.
Speaker 5 (50:48):
All right, five
demerits for being out of
uniform get some of the trafficticket is what it does.
Speaker 2 (50:54):
Oh, they think I'm
working traffic.
You could be so so.
Speaker 4 (51:01):
So in randy's defense
you come supporting randy or
you come supporting theplaintiff I come to support a
family, uh, okay all right, I amnot the honor that is to my
right, inward left, depending onwhich side of the screen you're
on.
Speaker 2 (51:17):
I am not the honor.
Speaker 4 (51:20):
That is to my right
or left, depending on which side
of the screen you're on.
The man with the gavel yes, hecomes.
Prepared, matt, he's got propbudget.
Speaker 2 (51:26):
Since my travel time
from the living room and my
absence of getting the showstarted again here.
It appears we transitioned veryquickly to a family court, so
it's a perfect time for me totalk about family.
And you know, families usuallyhave their little quarrels here
and there, agree, but there'salways that.
(51:47):
Well, not always, but sometimesthere's still that love, not,
you know that just never lets goand I just I can't help but
think the whole time.
I'm hearing all these argumentswhich you know, I see some valid
points on either side, but I'mthinking you know, randy, have
you won any prizes from theclubhouse?
Speaker 6 (52:08):
oh, yeah, there's
that one that don't answer that
question.
Speaker 4 (52:12):
Sir, you don't need
to answer that question that
question.
Speaker 7 (52:19):
Sir, you don't need
to answer that question.
Yes, I strike that from therecord.
This is all about honesty.
And on the stenographer's listthere, what did he say?
I'm sorry I might have missedit.
I was in taking some beautifulsmoke.
He has won, which means inorder to win, he has to
participate and be in the chatand do other things.
So he is supporting clubhouse, like his brother supports him.
Speaker 2 (52:41):
He did he fair and
square without the family
element.
He did that, but there was afamily element to the decision
of what he won, because we allsaid hell, no to a $200, six
meter bow fang antenna.
Speaker 7 (52:55):
Oh no, what did?
Speaker 2 (52:56):
Randy get.
Speaker 7 (53:01):
Yeah, I forgot.
What do you get, randy?
Speaker 1 (53:02):
randy.
Why don't you tell us what yougot, randy?
Why?
Speaker 7 (53:03):
don't you tell us
what did you.
What did you?
Choose what did you choose?
Speaker 4 (53:07):
to incriminate you.
You do not have to share thatwith the court.
Speaker 6 (53:10):
So this is I will
plead to the fifth, then yep,
yep.
Speaker 2 (53:13):
Well, I mean can you
answer it this way is that what
you really wanted, as iso wasgetting to?
Was that your choice?
Speaker 7 (53:21):
absolutely well I'm
sorry I did not hear that again,
randy, it was whose choice, your choice, your choice to come
on to youtube.
Nobody, nobody, said nobody, you know, stricken you from
youtube as well, as you chose toclick the mouse and participate
.
I bet you're even a subscriberof hand radio clubhouse, aren't
(53:43):
you?
Well, yeah, I mean I got tosupport.
All right All right, this is abig.
Speaker 4 (53:49):
However, he does
support you guys financially, as
he stated already.
So, in essence, he has alreadybeen giving of his time, of his
financial resources, to saidclubhouse and yet nothing has
come back.
Speaker 7 (54:02):
You know, in the same
equal, you know my fellow
lawyer, eric, from across acrossthe table there all state, all
six of us participate in so manyham radio channels, whether it
is financially, whether it's inthe comment section, matter of
fact.
I remember a week or so ago Iwrote Paul a very nice comment.
(54:23):
Okay, I didn't have to, Iwanted to, I wanted to.
It comes from the heart.
Okay, nobody makes us doanything.
So the word support is this bigumbrella, and underneath it are
many fractions.
But it doesn't make adifference where you are.
The point is you are supporting.
Speaker 2 (54:46):
Thanks for your
support.
I think Bob will do that.
I don't want to come on hereand I don't want to sound biased
coming right here at the tailend.
I support Randy.
Congratulations on yourachievements, man.
Speaker 7 (55:04):
Absolutely.
Speaker 2 (55:07):
Maybe it wasn't Shane
that told us, maybe it was
Steve, I don't know, but we wereaware backstage anyway that you
had accomplished an achievement, that you were shamed to get
Matter of perspective, but yougot.
Speaker 4 (55:18):
Got it weight off
your shoulders um, but we see a
lot of good character out of outof his brother too, you know I
would say in order to be able torestore and bring restitution
to both my client and to the hamradio club as a whole, that we
come to some agreement to invite, or first and foremost, we
should pass the official motionthat our judges already brought
(55:41):
on the table, that we've put apin in for the few moments here
about making him an honorary, you know, host of live free and
ham, but I do extend the olivebranch to that.
You know at least two of theofficial members of the
clubhouse would be able to stepin to, uh, you know, randy's uh
space to encourage, uh, you know, another brother to decide, you
(56:03):
know, to invite randy on, tobring him on to the next show or
a future show coming soon waita minute, but wait a minute.
That has never been the issuehere, your honor that has
earliest tomorrow here, yourhonor that has earliest tomorrow
here because I have been.
Speaker 7 (56:18):
I have been welcomed
on on this northeast and ham
show many times.
Oh, support, I have been onhere.
I have been wanting to be onhere on times when I could not
be, but you were still in myheart because I had family
obligations or work.
I have also purchased itemsfrom you.
Speaker 2 (56:35):
You are out of order.
Speaker 7 (56:37):
I am not out of order
.
I have purchased the hams.
Speaker 5 (56:41):
Let the record show
that you are speaking of the
Northeast Ham Radio and this isLive, Free and Ham.
Speaker 6 (56:46):
This is a completely
different.
Speaker 4 (56:48):
You, sir, are on the
wrong channel.
Speaker 1 (56:52):
We are also those
guys up north.
Speaker 7 (56:54):
Yes, the crazy guys
up north who I love, who I love.
So once again, we are one bigham family which is really an
outcast to say Shane has not ordid something that hasn't really
even been proven yet.
Speaker 4 (57:13):
Well, I would say he
has proven.
Speaker 7 (57:16):
Well, I would say he
has proven, I'm not in charge,
I'm not in charge, I'm not incharge.
Speaker 4 (57:26):
So actually we've
brought out some new facts here
to the table, so in essence thisreally isn't Shane's fault,
it's Izzo's fault.
Speaker 7 (57:30):
It's Izzo's fault.
It is not, and I will be happyto represent myself.
Speaker 4 (57:36):
You might want to ask
Shane to help.
Shane might be able to help inyour behalf.
Speaker 7 (57:40):
Randy has all this.
And when we heard that Randyhas a brother who is getting his
ham radio license.
Speaker 1 (57:51):
You got it reversed.
Speaker 7 (57:51):
You mean Shane has a
brother, you mean Shane has a
brother.
Speaker 4 (57:55):
Shane has a brother.
Do you have has a brother?
Speaker 7 (57:57):
Shane has a brother,
Randy do you have another family
member?
No, I did not.
Up until most recently I didnot.
I only knew Randy as a name.
Okay, and then also I heard theman is now going to have time
in his life, he has an interest.
Do you know how happy that mademe feel?
That was incredible because Iremember what it felt like when
(58:18):
my grandfather took me under hiswing in 1972 and 73, from the
beginnings of my very youngchildhood, being eight, nine
years old, not knowing what acapacitor is and how to solder a
PL 259.
The man just kind of did it andthere were.
I didn't ask.
Matter of fact, I didn't getanything from my grandfather
(58:39):
until I was 30 something.
Speaker 4 (58:41):
A ts 130 you bring up
a very good point do you feel?
Like you were left out of thechoice to decide.
When shane decided to pick upyour grandfather's you know ham
radio call, did you feel likeyou were left out of that
decision as to whether or notyou should get it or he should
get it?
Speaker 6 (58:59):
so I'm pretty that
was the uh, the grandfather on
the other side.
Thank you, thank you.
Speaker 7 (59:06):
This is what happens
when the lawyer across the table
does not do his homework.
Speaker 4 (59:10):
And randy, I
appreciate your honesty, going
up against you as though thatdoesn't require a lot of effort.
But anyway, I just planned, like 10 minutes ago no, yeah, I
mean I, I, I, I would think andand maybe my hosts agree here
that you know, in order to makeamends, to be able to bring this
(59:32):
to the light, to be able toestablish a new foundation, to
go back to the family decision, you, you know where family is,
you know priority and a whole, that you know, in order to make
amends, that obviously we andPaul, like I said, raised that
issue, that I am going to secondthe motion, that we, as from a
live free and ham corporateapproach, you know to obviously
(59:55):
stay line, uh, with oursubsidiaries of ham radio
clubhouse there.
So eventually you'll have toget the memo passed down and
you'll just continue to further.
You know the order is there.
Speaker 7 (01:00:05):
You have bylaws.
Do you have bylaws?
Uh, yes, yes yes, you havebylaws.
Speaker 2 (01:00:11):
You have written
bylaws on file yep yeah, and who
takes care of?
Speaker 7 (01:00:16):
all of your financial
transactions.
Speaker 4 (01:00:18):
I'm just trying to
establish nobody, nobody from
the hammer your clubhouse, that's for sure no, no, no,
guess what hammer?
Speaker 7 (01:00:23):
your clubhouse has an
individual who is assigned on
record, who handles allfinancial transcripts, including
any any united states ofamerica remember that word
America IRS filings.
Does this group haveappropriate people in place?
Speaker 1 (01:00:42):
We don't make enough
money for that.
Speaker 7 (01:00:44):
Okay, which?
Speaker 4 (01:00:47):
by state that said
individual, I hear, based off of
corporate decisions.
We've now opened up a case tobasically look further, deeper
into those dealings, just tomake sure that they are fall in
line and they appropriately comeinto all of the necessary.
Speaker 7 (01:01:07):
I'm hearing a lot of
horse hockey.
Joe Brett, I don't know aboutyou, but I'm hearing a train
that has jumped the track andyou better give me a high
visibility anti-two shirt.
Hey, this is the new world, this is the new world, corporate
America.
Speaker 4 (01:01:19):
We're taking all you
know, all rules and regulations
off.
This is the wild, wild West, myfriend, bring it on.
Yes, we are incorporated inSealand.
Speaker 1 (01:01:28):
We're soon to buy
that next.
Speaker 4 (01:01:32):
So, anyway, let's
raise the motion from the
Liffrey and Ham crew.
You, so, anyway, let's, let'sraise the motion from the live
free and ham crew.
Uh, you know, we, officially, you know, go ahead and make the
motion there.
Uh, you know, uh, n1og thegrouch all right.
Speaker 5 (01:01:47):
I motion that the
live free and ham community
adopt randy as our new honoraryLive Free at Ham host.
Speaker 4 (01:01:57):
I second it.
I pass it is official.
Randy, you have the keys to thekingdom.
Speaker 7 (01:02:05):
No, they don't vote.
Do you guys follow Robert'srules?
Do you guys follow Robert's?
Speaker 4 (01:02:09):
rules.
Who's Robert?
Who's Robert?
Speaker 7 (01:02:11):
Robert's rules.
I am very familiar, you'refamiliar and I believe that you
cannot make that motion.
You could ask for the motion weare like every other freaking
ham radio club, when it comes
Speaker 6 (01:02:25):
to robert's rules
it's kind of just a suggestion
no, no, let me.
Speaker 5 (01:02:29):
Let me clarify,
because actually it is written
in robert's rules that if youhave a quorum that is less than
12, while it is not customaryfor the chair to make a motion
in a small group setting, thechair is allowed to make a
motion.
Speaker 7 (01:02:48):
Right but you guys.
I agree with Liv and I supportoh, that key word again support
you guys.
But isn't it just?
I thought you guys were alwaysabove board.
You guys are incredible.
You guys don't need Robert, youdon't need rules.
You live free.
This is about morals and beingmen and humanity in America.
Speaker 1 (01:03:10):
Am I correct, and
that's why we're bringing Randy
in?
Speaker 7 (01:03:14):
I support that too,
If.
Speaker 1 (01:03:16):
I don't need silence.
I'm going to.
Speaker 5 (01:03:21):
All right, well, as
the judge and chair of this
meeting, randy, welcome to LiveFree.
And Ham, you're our newest host.
Speaker 4 (01:03:32):
Awesome.
Speaker 6 (01:03:33):
Yes.
Speaker 4 (01:03:34):
You're always welcome
anytime, anytime, david.
Just remember what happened inthat movie.
Speaker 7 (01:03:39):
My cousin Vinny Danny
just remember what happened at
the end.
And my cousin Vinny theseyouths.
These youths.
Speaker 3 (01:03:47):
Hey.
Speaker 7 (01:03:48):
Randy, randy, randy.
How many fingers am I holdingup, randy?
Speaker 6 (01:03:54):
Before is a very good
, very good.
Speaker 2 (01:04:00):
I do just want to
point out if I could kind of
like an off-record thing.
Do I need to wait on that?
No, no, no, feel free, go rightahead, you're eating me up the
whole show when I look at randysquare there, man, I'm like
randy, do you watch a lot oftank radio?
I know you watch a lot of mikemailbag mondays, uh yeah, I've
(01:04:21):
started watching a little bit oftank uh mf0xb over there in the
uk um I wouldn't try to turnthis into this whole big
discussion, but uh, do you watch?
Speaker 1 (01:04:35):
any of the n1jur
channel or you know how about uh
Speaker 2 (01:04:42):
k5 yvy any of those
channels if there was something
on there for him to watch.
Speaker 4 (01:04:47):
But in six or nine
months.
There there will be Joe.
What are you talking about?
Speaker 2 (01:04:52):
I just want to state
that he's got the camera angle
of Mike Smellbag right, Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:04:58):
Up high camera angle.
Speaker 2 (01:05:00):
He's got all the
stuff in the background like
tank and he looks like Shaq andGreg sitting there a little bit.
You know, Like y'all might becousins a little bit.
Speaker 4 (01:05:10):
The only thing is San
Satan.
He's missing Satan in thebackground, you know.
Speaker 7 (01:05:14):
He's got dogs in his
head.
Shaq and Greg says it all.
Speaker 2 (01:05:16):
I think Shaq and Greg
just says it all.
You got the banana sitting inthe floor somewhere back there.
Speaker 4 (01:05:22):
Hey, you model the
people you love to watch, right?
Speaker 2 (01:05:25):
That's great man.
When are you starting yourchannel, randy?
Speaker 6 (01:05:30):
Yeah, about that.
Speaker 2 (01:05:31):
You're a host now.
You're kind of obligated.
Speaker 6 (01:05:37):
Not necessarily Todd
doesn't have one, todd, does not
do his channel at all.
Speaker 4 (01:05:39):
He has just started.
We're three years into it.
Speaker 2 (01:05:43):
Like I was saying, we
got one of those too.
Speaker 4 (01:05:46):
We all have to.
It's a balance of life.
Can't all be like type A's.
Because you're all type A's,god, the channel will explode
All right.
Speaker 2 (01:05:57):
Well, so we're
getting this friendly, I'm not
bad.
Speaker 4 (01:05:59):
No, no, dude, it's a
circle of trust here, my friend,
we're all good, no problem.
I think Ham Court at this pointhas been officially closed,
although you know we do want tomake sure that it's on the
docket that the clubhouse inessence passes that olive branch
to Randy to allow a host ofLiffrey and Ham to come on to
your episode, either as a guestor maybe as a co-host or
(01:06:21):
whatever.
So just throwing out thatsuggestion to the powers that be
and maybe they'll make theright decision.
Speaker 6 (01:06:27):
Sportos.
Speaker 5 (01:06:28):
Motorheads, Geeks,
Sluts, bloods, waste toys,
dweebies, dickheads they alladore you All, righteous dudes
All righteous dudes.
Speaker 7 (01:06:38):
Listen, listen, Randy
is welcome, Listen.
Yes, I have been given the guyson the show.
My brothers at the clubhousehave kind of nicknamed me the
bookmaker, the guest coordinator.
Randy, I'm available on QRZ oryou can contact what's that B
(01:07:00):
word?
Your brother and he'll be happyto provide you with my email
address, my cell phone, my text.
We can coordinate a time.
You are welcome, my cell phone,my text.
We can coordinate a time.
You are welcome.
You have always been welcomeand you will not be treated any
differently.
We'll have fun with you, We'lldo a fast, We'll do the fast
Izzo round with you and then,I'm sure, like the parliamentary
(01:07:22):
things that we just heardearlier, there'll be a motion
and you'll be official memberwith zero dues and I always do
have a gripe iso.
Speaker 4 (01:07:32):
I have a gripe, I've
noticed that?
Speaker 7 (01:07:34):
what is your gripe,
my friend?
Speaker 4 (01:07:36):
few episodes and I
feel like, as a livery and ham
host being on your show, we'vebeen gypped.
We, when we were indoctrinatedper se into the ham radio
clubhouse we were asked thethree questions, whatever you
call it or you know in, you know, delivered, I don't.
Whatever you want to use forthe word, in essence I felt like
you.
Speaker 7 (01:07:54):
You have now improved
that questionnaire list of you
know questions to bypass thegatekeeper to get into ham radio
clubhouse so I feel fastquestions yes yeah, no fast
questions was a fun thing that Ijust happened to say one night
and then it just continuedbecause the audience loved it.
Speaker 4 (01:08:15):
And you have added to
it you have definitely Mike was
talking about.
Chowder.
Speaker 7 (01:08:20):
Come on, that was
never asked of us.
Speaker 4 (01:08:21):
I feel left out.
Speaker 7 (01:08:23):
No, no, you haven't.
No, I thought we went throughFast Rounds with you.
Speaker 4 (01:08:28):
We did, but we were
only asked three questions.
We were at.
Well, I thought we went throughfast rounds with you.
We did, but we were only askedthree questions.
Well, Paul wasn't on at thattime, but we were asked what our
favorite bands were.
Speaker 5 (01:08:34):
I was asked zero
questions.
Steak and fish.
Speaker 4 (01:08:38):
Yeah, true man.
We've got a lot of issues we'vegot to work through.
Speaker 7 (01:08:43):
Just because a
statement was made doesn't mean
it's true.
But we're going to have ourpeople contact your people.
We're going to go through thearchives Matter made doesn't
mean it's true, but we're gonnahave our people contact your
people.
Archives matter of fact, toddhasn't even been on the show.
You want to watch this?
Todd studying.
Todd is studying.
I've been on the show twice no,but, but you haven't been
indoctrinated, right yes yes,you don't even kept up with it.
(01:09:07):
I'm not in charge of.
My job is not to keep records.
Speaker 2 (01:09:19):
That's not my job you
know, that's for sure we had
this corporate come in and wethought oh good, they're gonna
handle all that good stuff.
And and they just well so ifyou want.
Speaker 4 (01:09:33):
We've taken the rains
off for a little while.
We kind of let you guys run onyour own.
You know basis, but you knownow that's a takeover.
We might have to do a hostiletakeover and really like turn up
the screws, if that's whatyou're looking for, if you want
structure and you knowuniformity we'll bring it up,
the only way to get Randy on theclubhouse, I know right,
exactly.
We might have to put the hoston paid leave.
Speaker 7 (01:09:57):
Did we not have a
fantastic April 1st joke between
a collaboration between our twogroups?
Speaker 4 (01:10:05):
And I do have to say
we sold a lot of shirts for that
too, really Okay, yeah, we did.
Didn't you guys to say we solda lot of shirts for that too,
really Okay, yeah, didn't youguys get your like three cents?
Speaker 7 (01:10:13):
Yeah well, that's
called support.
Once again, the word supportcomes in again.
See what I'm saying America, that's all I gotta say.
Speaker 4 (01:10:22):
Roger, that Well,
yeah, we, you know, I want to
just kind of.
You know we give everybody kindof a lot of gruff with these
guys.
We love hanging out with theHam Radio Clubhouse crew.
They put up with ourshenanigans and crap.
We do a lot all the time.
We appreciate you guys hangingout with us because we did this
kind of spur of the moment.
Speaker 7 (01:10:42):
It was good.
It's fun to support each ohthat word again, Damn.
Speaker 5 (01:10:48):
Fun everything man
Nuggets must have just ended.
Speaker 7 (01:10:55):
For those of you who
were learning about how to do a
TNC for five out of five weekswelcome to the show and guess
what?
I'll sum it all up for you.
Randy is a friend of Hamcourt.
There's no ill feelings.
These guys didn't prove nothing.
It's called horse hockey andthat's all there is to it.
But we're all friends and wecan agree to it and we can all
(01:11:16):
move on.
I summed it all up.
Speaker 4 (01:11:18):
Totally.
I don't know if Shane's leftbecause he was crying or what,
but he was in the chat there.
Speaker 7 (01:11:24):
And Ty did get three
out of the three extra questions
, so that was anothermonumentous thing tonight.
Exactly, it was great.
Speaker 4 (01:11:33):
He normally gets
three out of three when we don't
do live streams, but his livestream track record was finally
broken tonight.
Speaker 1 (01:11:38):
I have to say One for
three.
Speaker 4 (01:11:39):
You were one over
three, one for three.
I went back and kind of did aquick review and I'm like, oh
man, he's got to break thatstreet there, thank God so all
good.
Speaker 1 (01:11:50):
I even gave you a
layup, eric, come on.
Speaker 4 (01:11:52):
You did, man, but I'm
still an extra, so I suffer
like Izzo.
The CRS Can't remember shit andso I've forgotten all my extra.
Speaker 2 (01:12:01):
You're an extra.
You don't need to remember thatno more.
I don't.
You made it, you know guys.
Speaker 7 (01:12:05):
I got to tell you
something, Todd, one of the
things and I'm starting torealize and I don't want to give
excuses, okay, because I havetried two or three times in
reading various materials forthat and the whole thing with
those is I get very frustratedand I put it in front of me and
that is a fault of mine, it'snot a fault of the many methods
(01:12:26):
that are out there and there'ssome very good methods, Because
I have learned.
But when you get to thattechnical stuff, I have to say
I've been playing ham radio nowfor over 30 years.
That stuff has never come intoin front of me.
What do I need to know and whydo I need to know it?
And that's why I've said thesequestions really, really need to
be.
A lot of them just need to bethrown into the garbage or
(01:12:48):
archived out and we need to getinto some real questions about
safety, Concentrate more onsafety, Get more into good
operating practice maybe andother things.
I feel your pain, especiallythat nine that nine's a tough
one and the diagrams and allsorts of stuff.
Speaker 1 (01:13:09):
Smith charts and
everything yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:13:10):
I think that stuff
comes across in front of you
when you may not even realize it.
Speaker 4 (01:13:15):
It does.
You're right, joe.
I mean, like I didn't learnSmith charts but when I finally
learned it from my extra, all ofa sudden it's like I looked at
it and went, oh, that reallyhelps and makes sense.
Yeah, it was kind of weird, like, oh, I have something that
actually I can apply and use.
Speaker 5 (01:13:31):
I'd rather have that
Reaction arcs and resistance
circles or resistance lines whenI get my extra.
Speaker 1 (01:13:39):
I'm requesting that
all new extras there needs to be
a whole POTUS section, becauseI'd ace that no problem.
Speaker 7 (01:13:46):
Yeah, but you had a
chance to practice that.
Okay, but how about this thoughhow to install an antenna at
your house, or maybe how toinstall a vehicle or do a
temporary setup?
Speaker 2 (01:13:57):
That's for YouTube
videos, not test.
Yeah, but why?
Speaker 1 (01:13:59):
not.
That answer would be call Ericand call him.
When, Jay, you are Call afriend.
Speaker 7 (01:14:08):
What is this?
Who wants to be a millionaire?
We, we're gonna call a friendright away.
No, you're gonna get your handsdirty, you're gonna go to.
You're gonna go to the pool, you're gonna want to see my ham
radio.
Speaker 5 (01:14:17):
No, no dude.
Speaker 4 (01:14:21):
So, I have to say, is
the live free?
And ham got another monumentalmilestone here that I just saw a
great man put of tim post, something.
They're saying that there'srumors for randy like getting on
the youtube circuit now, wherehe's, like you know, visiting
other shows.
Have we just started his career, his youtube career, off from?
Speaker 7 (01:14:38):
I was supporting to
do that.
I would support randy doingthat.
Great man's got a great show.
That's a great show.
Everybody should be supportingit so so that's like randy if
randy, if that's for you, do it.
I highly recommend you'll havefun over there.
Speaker 4 (01:14:51):
So, so, like the
clubhouse, tortured iso and and
through what it brought yourchannel up to a thousand people.
You know how, how many subs youhave, oh, your honor.
Speaker 7 (01:15:00):
Wait a minute.
See, the slander is coming outagain.
Speaker 4 (01:15:03):
I thought we were
sharing, sharing a peace pipe, a
cigar they helped you out with, you know, with pushing over a
thousand users.
Speaker 7 (01:15:11):
Joe Brett, there is
love on the Ham Radio Club.
Speaker 4 (01:15:14):
There are nights when
we don't even have a guest.
I'm trying to show the samelove to Randy.
How many subs do you have,Randy?
How many subs do you have onyour channel, or do you have a
channel right?
Speaker 6 (01:15:25):
Maybe 30, maybe All
right, you heard it here folks,
let's get Randy to 100.
Speaker 4 (01:15:29):
Head on over.
Speaker 5 (01:15:35):
We need the link.
Randy, throw the link in theprivate chat.
Speaker 4 (01:15:37):
We'll get you 100
subs.
A single piece of content.
You can put a video out therethat says hello, and that would
be perfectly fine.
Speaker 1 (01:15:45):
I'm putting a
challenge out there to all the
YouTubers.
I think Randy needs to go ontour.
He should be on every channel Isupport that.
Speaker 4 (01:15:53):
I think that would be
really good.
And then we'll just all followhim and subscribe him for his
one video and that's all youneed to do is follow Shane's
strategy.
It's every six to nine monthshe puts out a video, possibly,
or thinks about putting out avideo, and then it may happen.
You never know, it'll be asurprise.
Like Joe, I love Joe Brettsurprises.
He just throws them out thereand it's just like it just shows
(01:16:15):
up in my feed and I go, wow, Ihaven't seen a video from Joe
Brett in a long time.
Speaker 2 (01:16:19):
There's that guy.
Speaker 4 (01:16:20):
And you know, and
when he starts to dab 360 space
it really just throws my stomachin a spin.
But dude, still good content.
Speaker 7 (01:16:32):
Oh great man Wow.
Speaker 4 (01:16:36):
Man, the shade's
being thrown from the chat.
My friends, and once again weare trying to be a family, a
family here, I guess, if youcan't raz your own brothers, why
not?
Speaker 2 (01:16:48):
Well, hey, you know
their family is hail, so Mm-hmm.
Speaker 1 (01:16:53):
Totally.
Speaker 2 (01:16:55):
Some of y'all got
that All right, all right, cool.
Speaker 4 (01:17:01):
Randy threw his link
there in the private chat.
Grab that, Paul, and throw thatin the general chat.
Sweet.
Speaker 2 (01:17:06):
Cool, All right.
Well, you know.
Speaker 4 (01:17:07):
Randy, we Sweet Cool,
All right.
Well, you know, Randy, we thankyou for coming on and hanging
out with us and definitely, justyou know, razzing your brother
even though he couldn't show up.
I totally get it.
He had a busy day and I'm surehe's a little under the weather.
Yeah, that's what I heard.
Speaker 7 (01:17:22):
He's making money to
family, which includes Randy.
Speaker 4 (01:17:28):
I don't think he's
supporting Randy.
Please Come on.
Randy sounds like he makes hisown money.
He had to buy his own Bale Fangor whatever.
I'm sure he makes his own money, all right.
Well, with that I think wecould beat this as a dead horse.
But we should just go aroundhere a little bit and say our
goodbyes.
But, joe and Izzo, I thank youguys for coming on.
(01:17:50):
You know kind of last minuteand you know being part of this
fun little shenanigans and togive you know Shane a little bit
of you know gruff there.
But we all love Shane.
Shane's a great guy.
You know he definitely doesawesome stuff for both the Ham
Radio Club house and, just, youknow, youtube in general.
So keep it going, shane.
We all love you, man, and wemean that from the bottom of our
(01:18:10):
hearts here.
So, even though we give you ahard time, I just like to say in
all seriousness, this was fun.
Speaker 7 (01:18:17):
For those of you who
didn't know, I was speaking to
these guys just a couple hoursago saying what can I do tonight
?
Do you want me to play the badguy, the good guy, the judge?
I'll do whatever.
You all want me to play the badguy, the good guy, the judge.
I'll do whatever you all wantme to do.
It was fun to play this part.
There were no is the jokes werejust jokes, is what they were.
Nothing was ever meant serious,uh, to hurt anybody.
(01:18:41):
Um, I usually don't likeplaying that part, uh, but it's
fun sometimes to come out ofthat like like you know, like
like like high school or youknow local theater.
Speaker 4 (01:18:51):
You literally
performed.
You went from Ted Lasso to leadTasso and I don't know who
Lasso was.
Speaker 7 (01:18:57):
I don't know.
Speaker 3 (01:18:58):
I've seen Ted Lasso.
Speaker 4 (01:19:01):
There's one scene in
Ted Lasso, a very famous scene,
where he literally like he'salways a good guy, positive guy,
blah, blah, blah, and then heplays the mean pissed-off coach
and calls everybody derogatorycomments, so forth and so on,
and they call him Lead Tasso andhe kind of goes into character.
It's kind of hilarious.
Speaker 7 (01:19:18):
Well, like I said, I
just finished watching Suits and
I watched Reacher the firstseason.
Now I'm going into season two.
I know I'm behind the times,but I don't care.
Season two I know I'm behindthe times but, I, don't care,
but it was fun, randy.
Randy, I've heard some serious.
I say this very seriously.
Your brother has said some verywonderful things about you and
it is an honor to also meet you.
(01:19:39):
Yes, I was a littledisappointed that you were not
going to get my 705, but when Iheard that, not the 705, the
ICOM 706,.
Speaker 4 (01:19:48):
I icon 706.
Speaker 7 (01:19:49):
I'm not giving you my
705, brother.
I love you again, but I heardyou, but I heard you, did you?
You, you were able toparticipate.
You know, you know solely, which I, I think, does have some
merit sometimes.
Okay, uh, and when you purchaseyour own stuff and I wish you so
much happy contact stateside dx, whatever, whatever antenna,
(01:20:11):
whatever you do, whether, if youwant to be like your brother
and drop it off a tailgatesomeday, you do that if not,
that's okay, it'll be okay, butthis is this has been fun and I
and I think this is what hamradio needs more of fun that
when, when we have all thesegroups participating and acting
and having fun, um, it reallytakes us off the pressures of
(01:20:33):
the day.
What's going on maybe in theworld?
We just need to laugh and justsit back and enjoy ourselves and
at the end of the day it'sanother day.
So thank you, brothers, Iappreciate the opportunity.
Speaker 1 (01:20:47):
Thanks for coming on
Izzo Cool Only when you ask me
Todd Todd, only when you, brothers, I appreciate the
opportunity.
Thanks for coming.
Speaker 7 (01:20:51):
On Izzo Cool Only
when you ask me Todd Todd only
when you ask me Well, to wrapthis up.
Speaker 4 (01:20:57):
Let's go around the
horn real quick.
Start with you, paul, and we'llgo to Randy Farrow.
What's going on with you andhow can folks get in touch with
you?
Speaker 5 (01:21:07):
All right, well, real
quick.
Big shout out to PrepAmPaul.
He gifted five channelmemberships to my channel.
So the people that got thoseJason KB1WSE, greg Euler, Lucas,
webster, ham Radio Tectonicsand Cooley all got memberships
to my channel.
(01:21:27):
So thanks so much for that, paul.
He came in late but he's goingto catch Team Replay.
I just got to say listen, I'mhaving a ton of fun with all of
this.
You know there's a bunch moreRV content coming out on my
channel.
I got a range day coming up.
There's going to be skydivingcoming up soon, so I mean a
(01:21:49):
whole lot of awesome stuff.
I'm I'm looking forward to it.
I'm excited.
So, uh, yeah, so thanks, thanksfor that.
I appreciate all the uh, thesupport on my channel.
Speaker 4 (01:22:00):
Yeah, and if you want
to help Paul reaches skydiving,
you know, license head over tolive free, button up on the
right-hand corner.
You can help that cause alongand get him closer to getting
his Class A.
So yeah, definitely head overthere and check that out and if
you feel inclined to help himout, appreciate it.
Speaker 5 (01:22:16):
Yeah, it's an
expensive journey, so definitely
I appreciate every penny thateverybody can give.
Speaker 4 (01:22:23):
I guess the question
keeps coming up.
You jump in from Shane'sballoon only if Shane allows him
to.
Speaker 5 (01:22:30):
Well, so there's a
lot of jumps from here till
there.
Let me just tell you so we'llcross that bridge when we get to
it.
Speaker 1 (01:22:39):
Honestly, you guys
should really consider donating
it, because I've known Paul fora couple of years and when I saw
him walk over after his jumpI've never seen the guy smile so
much in my life, like he waslike a little kid.
I was like the best christmasever.
He was just ecstatic and wewere there what like was it a
week earlier and we waitedaround, waited around the clouds
(01:23:02):
.
They said, oh, it's gonna clear, and it was like one little
like dot of blue and it nevercleared and he was so
disappointed.
And then when he finally gotthe jump, I'm like we've got to
get this guy jumping every day.
Speaker 4 (01:23:14):
Yeah, he had to smile
.
Speaker 7 (01:23:16):
Paul, just curious
what does it cost?
Not yours, but just in general?
Let's say John Doe won, whatare the costs?
Speaker 5 (01:23:26):
To get the Class A is
25 jumps and it's around $4,000
.
Speaker 7 (01:23:33):
For those 25 jumps.
Speaker 5 (01:23:35):
For those 25.
Once you get your Class A, theprice per jump dramatically
decreases and so it's mucheasier then to continue
progressing.
But it's that first entry tobarrier, or barrier to entry, if
you will.
It's really expensive thosefirst 25 you also gotta buy a
(01:23:58):
chute that's down the road, yeahthat's like 10 grand.
Speaker 1 (01:24:07):
You're going to
goodwill, you're getting a chute
no, I don't think anyone'sdonating shoots to goodwill yeah
, you gotta you gotta you'regonna rent it once, right, yeah,
you gotta
Speaker 4 (01:24:19):
rent it yep, that is
for sure.
All right, well, continuing onthe, the rotation there, you
know randy glad to have you onand, uh, you know how can people
get out or you know, get intouch with you and and you know,
obviously, what's your nextshow on the circuit here I mean,
(01:24:40):
uh, kids table.
Speaker 6 (01:24:41):
I know they've uh,
they've been asking me I may
have to show up on that one.
Uh, hopefully on the clubhouse, but uh, we'll see hopefully
we're gonna hold you guys.
Speaker 4 (01:24:49):
I expect you on
tomorrow night.
Come on, hopefully on theclubhouse, but we'll see.
Speaker 1 (01:24:52):
Hopefully we're going
to hold you guys to it.
Speaker 7 (01:24:54):
I expect you on
tomorrow night.
Come on, you know how to get ahold of me, randy.
You know how to get a hold ofme.
I'll make it happen.
Joe and Matt Beck, joe Brettand I will both make it happen,
one way or another.
Speaker 2 (01:25:01):
Yeah, I'll keep
poking those.
Speaker 7 (01:25:06):
Joe Brett is the
voice of reason amongst us.
Speaker 4 (01:25:11):
The man of the chat
too.
Very cool.
Lots of radios when she talksabout it.
Yeah, that's actually a goodstrategy, my friend.
Very good strategy.
Speaker 3 (01:25:21):
Very good.
Speaker 4 (01:25:21):
John.
Speaker 5 (01:25:22):
It's more fun for me.
Speaker 4 (01:25:23):
All right.
Well, izzo, how can people geta hold of you if they want to
reach out to you?
Speaker 7 (01:25:27):
No, don't reach out
to me.
People are still subbing mychannel and I've explained why
my channel has been sidelinedfor a while.
Speaker 2 (01:25:34):
It is what it is.
Speaker 7 (01:25:37):
It is, but I'm
getting close to 1,000.
So I'm going to have to givesomething away when I hit 1,000.
Speaker 4 (01:25:44):
His first live stream
.
Speaker 7 (01:25:46):
But we'll do it on

(01:26:07):
going to rock it.
Speaker 4 (01:26:08):
I'm going to rock it
Once again.
You know your schedule and youcould be ringing Paul and I up
and saying, hey, I got the dayoff.
Why don't we meet somewhere inthe middle?
You're going to Rhode.
Speaker 1 (01:26:18):
Island.
Speaker 4 (01:26:18):

Speaker 5 (01:26:31):

Speaker 2 (01:26:51):

Speaker 5 (01:26:52):
Not April, not April.
Speaker 7 (01:26:55):
I'm just saying, I'm
giving you an alternative.
We'll support your parksweekend.
Speaker 1 (01:26:59):
He's good for
tomorrow.
Though he's good for tomorrow.
Speaker 7 (01:27:04):

.
I'm going to wash and iron myhand radio.
My V-neck, my hand radio calledout V-neck Totally.
Speaker 4 (01:27:44):
Well good, looking

I know it will happen.
If you guys happen to get atime, let me know I might be
able to break free.
We'll see how it goes, allright.
So with that, joe, how canpeople get a hold of you?
Thank you again for coming ontonight.
What's going on with yourchannel?
Speaker 2 (01:27:57):
Not a lot in the last
couple of months.
But you know I got to sit downsometime and actually I've got
some ideas, some videos to likeredo, some updates, you know,
because the information is alittle outdated now and they
keep popping up that people areit's your number one search
videos and stuff, you know.
So I probably should update itinstead of just keep answering
(01:28:18):
people in the comments.
Speaker 4 (01:28:19):
but revisit yeah I
love those.
Those are always tougher to dothan the first time you did it.
Yeah, all right, cool, awesome, all right.
Well, how about utah?
What's going on with you andwhere can people reach out to
you?
You know?
Speaker 1 (01:28:35):
uh well, I'm heading
out to california on thursday,
be there for a long weekend.
My brother's birthday isturning 50.
Planning on uh workinghuntington beach state park
probably friday or sunday sat.
Saturday is the party, but I'mhoping to get Hawaii and Alaska
on a park, so I'm going to setmy radio up in his backyard and
(01:28:59):
just hope that I get a hammerlerfor a park.
Speaker 7 (01:29:00):
Hey, todd, just so
you know.
I saw it yesterday.
Hawaii's been popping in, Iknow and I can't hear him.
Speaker 1 (01:29:06):
I tried him I can't
hear him either.
Right, I was like oh, hawaii, Iquickly get on and nothing.
So hopefully we'll see.
But I got my new computer soI'm going to be starting to work
on videos.
Speaker 2 (01:29:18):
What did you say, Joe
Brett?
I got a video that might helpyou with that trick.
You ain't always got to hearhim to work them.
Speaker 4 (01:29:27):
You don't.
Speaker 1 (01:29:29):
Watch if you guys
want to.
Uh.
If you guys want to reach me,uh, it's w1stjnh at gmailcom or
leave free in him and um, I alsohave a sub todd, go sub todd at
uh w.
I don't have any videos.
I had to get one on there nordoes randy, so you know he's
already got four subs.
last time I looked in the chatyes, get on there, motivate me
(01:29:51):
to do some videos?
Yeah, but you know what I dofor work.
I have a lot of downtime, especially when I have to go to
court.
I can sit in a lobby of acourtroom for hours and I just
sit there.
Normally I'm studying for myextra, but now I got this laptop
, I can start working andediting videos.
Does I can start working andediting?
Speaker 7 (01:30:07):
videos.
Does the bailiff have to callyou in saying let's go, come on,
let's go, wait one more?
You should be asking thebailiff these questions to help
you see.
Speaker 1 (01:30:17):
Yeah, right, yeah,
it's just what I do.
But now that I've got thelaptop and I've got the software
on and stuff, I'm ready to go.
So I'm just going to learn thesoftware, but I'm learning it.
Speaker 4 (01:30:29):
So it's all good,
awesome, all right.
Well, I have to say, with usover here at Live Free in Ham
excuse me a little bug in mythroat we got a couple of cool
videos coming up.
We're going to be.
We actually just released ourlistener episode, which actually
will be aired oh, it's alreadyon our Patreon site, but it'll
be aired next week and thatshould be a really good one.
(01:30:49):
That's on POTA Soup to Nutskind of stuff.
So looking forward to seeingthat.
And then we're going to diveinto a little bit of the club
stuff.
We've got a couple of reallygood cool episodes around that
and looking forward to gettingall those out.
But for me, we're just sittingon some videos.
I got a battery build videothat I mentioned in another
previous Live Free at Hamepisode but haven't finished
(01:31:12):
putting together, yeah, okay, yeah, four or five, sorry,
whatever.
Be realistic I guess I should be.
It's coming, man, it's coming.
And then I've got a coupleother videos.
I finally took my beach go bagout with me to the beach
yesterday and put that throughits paces and learned a whole
lot.
And you know I have to go backand add and change that kit
(01:31:36):
around so it actually works alittle bit better than, you know
, version 1.0.
So I got a little revisit videoon that one.
So looking forward to gettingthat out.
And you know, obviously youknow, hey, john Izzo, what are
you smoking?
