Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hey there and welcome back to the Live Life
Unapologetically podcast.
I'm Shannon, and today'sepisode is for anyone who feels
like this world is upside down.
For those of you watchingcurrent events and wondering how
do I even start to manifestanything when everything feels
so broken.
I want to start by saying thisthat you're not powerless.

(00:20):
I also want to start by sayingthat I don't have all the
answers in this moment, andthat's okay.
I don't have a completed pathand a completed plan.
I feel like it is irresponsiblefor me to say that I do,
because I'm still mullingthrough things in my mind.
I'm still trying to reconcile alot of stuff in my own mind.

(00:42):
Be wary of those that say theyhave it all figured out, because
if they did, we wouldn't bewhere we are today.
I know it's easy to feeloverwhelmed, angry or even
hopeless.
What I have for you today isthat I want to remind you of
your power not just to createchange in your own life, but to

(01:02):
ripple that change out into theworld.
This is definitely not aboutignoring reality or pretending
things aren't hard.
It is not because, like I said,I don't have all the answers.
Nobody has all the answers.
Let me be clear about that.
Nobody has all the answers.
Stop trying to hold on tosaviors to save you, save
yourself.
We look for people to have allthe answers and we do that

(01:26):
because we want to have a known.
We feel safe in the known Ifsomebody can tell us hey, have
all the answers.
It gives a sense of safety andsecurity to us because we seek
that, as human beings, theunknown is scary.
And because the unknown isscary whether it's unknown
because we don't know if badthings are going to happen, or

(01:47):
unknown because we're scared ofnew good things happening
unknown, regardless of what sideit falls on, is scary.
To know something brings in afeeling of like, security and
stability.
This is not about ignoring.
This is just what do we do inthis moment.
If you listen to this podcast,do you believe in the power of
manifestation?
I believe in the power ofmanifestation and today I want

(02:14):
to acknowledge the weight thatyou may feel letting yourself
process it, and then I want youto decide that you're not going
to let the world take your joy, your hope or your power.
Grab your favorite drink withme today.
Usually, when I say that, I'mthinking coffee or a nice warm
tea.
Maybe today it's a nice stiffdrink.
Whatever you need today, getyour favorite drink.
Let's talk about manifestingwealth, not just for ourselves,

(02:35):
but for the kind of world wewant to live in.
I want you to know that we docreate our reality, and you may
be saying how has this happened?
Let us not forget that otherpeople are creating their
reality too, and we all live inthis world together.
So first let's just talk aboutthe weight that many of us are
carrying right now, because Idon't want to glass over it.
I think that's so insensitive.

(02:57):
I want you to hear me that it isokay to feel what you're
feeling.
If you've been around here forsome time, you know we don't
suppress feelings.
In the space where we manifestin this community, we don't just
have toxic positivity where weignore things.
Whether that's anger, sadness, frustration, fear, even despair,
it is valid.

(03:18):
What is not okay is to pretendthat those feelings don't exist.
Suppression does not make yourfeelings disappear.
It makes them stronger becausethey will fight to come out.
Your feelings are indicators.
They are connection to yourhigher self, and your higher
self doesn't just live in loveand light.

(03:38):
Your higher self lives throughall of it.
Manifesting is not aboutignoring reality the way that
it's portrayed by a lot ofpeople.
It's about using what is real, what you feel, to fuel what is
possible.
Your feelings are yourindicators.
To ignore them means thatyou're ignoring a greater part
of yourself.
They tell you what you don'twant and then you use that to

(04:01):
put an intention onto what youdo want.
Now you might be saying, shannon, I didn't want this when we.
You might be saying, shannon, Ididn't want this where we are
today in the United States.
I didn't, I didn't want this.
What I think that we leave outof manifesting to try to make it
sound like it's all sunshineand rainbows and that
manifestation is your savior isthat everybody is manifesting
all of the time, just likegravity.
It's there the law ofattraction.

(04:23):
It just is what you are seeingthat you don't want.
Other people do want.
Well, why did they manifest itbetter than I did?
Did I fail at manifesting?
No, you didn't.
Honestly, that's like anorganized religion mindset that
oh evil overcame because I wasweak or something.
No, it may bring you solace, itmay not, but the current

(04:46):
executive branch did not receivethe majority of the people's
vote.
Because you may be feelingalone, because you've been told
that most of our country votedfor this and they didn't.
Collectively, more people votedfor Democrat or third party
Like the two main candidates.
Yeah, the other one got theupper hand, but out of all of

(05:11):
the candidates because there wasmore than one on ballot did not
Change the narrative in yourmind, because I think a lot of
desperation that we're feeling,or despair, is that more people
wanted this than did not wantthis, and that's simply not true
.
More people didn't want thisthan do.
We can get into the thick of itabout how it's stupid to vote
third party, blah, blah, blah.
I'm going to get into all that.
That's not the point of this.
The point is you didn't fail atmanifesting something.

(05:32):
Everybody manifests what theywant and actually more people
manifested to have somebody elsein office besides who is in
office right now.
It may not make you feel betterin this moment, but I just want
you to know that so that youdon't feel like you're alone or
so that you don't feel likeyou're fighting some really big
uphill battle.

(05:53):
This is a systematic issue, nota personal, your issue, if that
makes sense, like not a failureon your part issue.
So I want you to give yourselfpermission to sit with any
feelings that you have, journalabout them, meditate on them,
cry if you need to.
Just don't stay there.
Feel it and process it and thendecide to move into your joy

(06:16):
and into your power.
It's not ignoring it orsuppressing it.
Please hear when I said processit.
And if you're like Shannon, Idon't know how to process it,
that's okay too.
You process it piece by pieceas you go, but you reclaim your
power.
You don't get stuck there themoment you reclaim your joy.
That is when you reclaim yourpower.
Joy is not pretending the worldis fine.

(06:38):
It's choosing to protect yourlight, no matter what is
happening around you.
If you think of it like acandle that's burning and it's
windy, that wind is all the shitthat we are just feeling all
kinds of feels about right now,and not in a good way.
It's the wind.
You can't let your light go out.
So think about putting a coveraround the candle, right

(07:02):
Something around the candle toblock the wind so the light
still burns.
It doesn't mean the wind is notthere.
It means that you are puttingup a boundary to keep the light
going, and that boundary is yourjoy and your happiness and the
power is the flame that stillburns Now as we think about all
the things that we don't wantfrom the current administration.
It's very clear that we live inan oligarchy, and many people

(07:24):
are disparaged because theywanna know how do we fight
against the money?
Here's the first limitingbelief that is holding so many
of us back, and it has been forsome time.
And when I say limiting belief,I mean this is a narrative that
has been given to you andprogrammed into you to limit you
, and that's an idea that wealthis limited.
We have been fed a lie thatthere's only so much wealth to

(07:48):
go around, that it is hoarded bya select few and that the rest
of us are left fighting forscraps.
That's the narrative.
But wealth is endless.
Money is just energy, andenergy is limitless.
The only thing holding you backfrom abundance may be the belief
that it's not available to youbecause somebody else has it.
That's not how it works.
That's just what we've all beengrown up to believe.

(08:10):
We've all been grown up withthe idea of getting your piece
of the pie as if it's limitedand that the pie is going to run
out and that you've missed out.
But when you let go of thatbelief, you stop seeing wealth
as a finite resource and startseeing it as a flow and you open
yourself up to endlesspossibilities.
And you might be saying, well, shannon, isn't that denying

(08:30):
reality?
No, that's challenging alimitation.
We see it because we believe it.
Now we challenge it.
There's more money circulatingthe world now than ever.
So where was all that moneybefore?
Hidden in the ground somewhere?
No, it's just energy.
How could there be more wealththan there has ever been before?
But wealth is limited.
This is how we challenge thosebeliefs.

(08:52):
The belief itself is skewedthat if it's limited, then how
is it that there's more now thanever?
Because it would have alwaysbeen limited.
It's not.
And here's the next limitingbelief and they're the only ones
I'm going to talk about todaywhen it comes to wealth, and
that's that wealth makes youlike the opposition.
Wealth makes you like thosetech bros.
For many of us, especially women, we have a huge fear that

(09:14):
having wealth is going tocorrupt us, that we'll become
greedy and selfish anddisconnected, like the
billionaires and oligarchs we'reseeing in power today.
We look at them with disgustand we don't want to be them,
and our disgust for them comesfrom how they use their wealth
and what they use their wealthfor.
Wealth does not change who youare.
It amplifies it.

(09:34):
I'm going to say that one moretime wealth does not change who
you are.
It amplifies it.
If you are a compassionateperson, having wealth is only
going to give you moreopportunities to act on that.
Whatever your values arekindness, community, lifting
others up your wealth just givesyou the opportunities to do

(09:56):
that.
Wealth is a tool.
It's not about hoarding orcontrolling.
That's another narrative or liethat you've been shown that
when you have great wealth, youhoard it and you use it to
control others.
That is their narrative.
That is their values.
That is amplifying who they are.
Let it amplify who you are.
That wealth can be aboutcreating, giving and

(10:19):
transforming.
When you manifest wealth, you're not becoming part of the
problem, you're becoming part ofthe solution, and I get it.
Why manifest wealth now, wheneverything feels so uncertain?
I'm not going to lie to you.
I felt this way.
I've been trying to reconcileso many things, but one thing I
know for sure is that wealthgives power Not power to

(10:39):
dominate, but power to createchange.
I want you to think about allof the times that you wanted to
give to a cause that you knewwas doing good works, but you
weren't able to because youdidn't have the money in your
budget and you wished you couldgive to be part of the change,
but you didn't have it.
That is why we manifest wealth, now more than ever before.

(11:00):
Imagine using your wealth tosupport organizations like the
ACL or grassroots movements, tofight injustice, to feed your
neighbor.
That's why we manifest wealthto create change.
Because, at the end of the day,it's going to still cost money.
Yeah, you can grow your ownfood, but you have to pay the
water.
You have to have somewhere toput it, so you're paying rent or

(11:22):
a mortgage, you have to buy theseeds, you have to buy things
to store what you grow.
Money is involved somewhere.
It is where we place the moneythat makes the change, by
investing in local businesses, ethical brands, female-owned
companies.
Wealth isn't just about personalfreedom.

(11:43):
It's about collective impact.
When you align your wealth withyour values, you're not just
manifesting for yourself, you'remanifesting for a better world.
We need wealth to survive.
That is how we live.
If you're in survival mode, barely getting by, it's harder
to have an impact and you maysay well, shannon, that's a
system, but we manifest to breakthe system, one at a time, and

(12:06):
you manifest wealth for yourselfso that you have disposable
income.
You can then put that incomeinto something to make the world
a better place.
And here's something I think wedon't think about enough.
We're all complacent.
I'm guilty of it because I dolike to shop, but every dollar
that we spend is a statement ofwhat we believe in.
Wealth is a vote In a time whenthe political system feels

(12:29):
broken.
Your pocketbook, your marches, but they respond to wealth and
where it's placed.
So support small business.
Let go of a belief thatshopping small business is too
expensive On the surface level.

(12:50):
It is.
It's more expensive on thesurface level, but at what cost?
Of supporting biggercorporations?
That cost is far greater.
So say you decide, you knowwhat.
I am going to grow my own food,or I am going to shop the
farmer's market.
Are you okay, being a littleuncomfortable To manifest change
, action, our thoughts, emotionsand our actions.
Invest in your community.
Spend your money in ways thatuplift the people and places

(13:11):
around you and pull your wealthfrom the system that doesn't
work for you.
Every time you spendconsciously, you're taking power
away from systems that don'tserve you and you're putting it
into ones and building up onesthat do.
Your money is just as much yourvoice as your voice, so use it
widely and use it loudly.
And I really want to speak tomy female entrepreneurs who are

(13:32):
manifesting businesses, becausethis is our time.
Build your business, not justfor your financial independence,
but so that we can step outsideof broken systems that have
failed us as women, that don'twork for us as women.
Let's create our own system.
Creating something that alignswith your values, supports your
community and generates wealthis a way that feels good and

(13:53):
right, and you can do it.
The universe is on your side.
When you manifest wealth throughyour business, you're not just
building for yourself.
You're building for every womanthat comes after you.
You're showing the world thatwealth doesn't have to look like
greed and exploitation andinequality.
It can look like compassion andcollaboration and change.
If you're ready to startmanifesting wealth with purpose,

(14:16):
with a new purpose, a renewedpurpose, then here's a place we
can start.
Just a jumping off point.
Let's reframe some limitingbeliefs and let go of the idea
that wealth is limited orcorrupted and replace it with
beliefs like.
Wealth is infinite and alwaysflowing to me, and my wealth
creates positive change.
Set intentions that matter.

(14:37):
Ask yourself what do I wantwealth to do for me and the
world?
Aligning your manifestationwith those intentions?
Vote with your money, startsmall, support local businesses,
donate to a cause or invest insomething meaningful.
Visualize your impact.
Close your eyes and imagine theripple effect of your wealth,

(15:00):
seeing the lives you're touching, the causes you're supporting
and the world you're creating.
Women we've stayed in the box ofpatriarchy too long and it
serves no one.
What we're seeing now is whatthe patriarchy has delivered.
It does not work.
We've been fighting for changewithin a system that doesn't
want us there, trying to changetheir system instead of just
creating a new one.
Let's create a new one, andsome people might say, oh, good

(15:25):
always outweighs the bad and youknow it's going to be fine,
whatever.
No, sometimes I think we getcomplacent and we get
comfortable and we have comfortzones, and it takes something
like this to shake us out of ourcomplacency and comfort zone.
I don't know why it is.
I don't know why for us toreally rev up in our power, most
of the time we have to have ourbacks against the wall.

(15:47):
I don't know.
This is where we are Now.
Where do we go from here?
And I want you to remember, inall of this, to hold your joy,
because your energy matters.
You know your energy matters.
You're on a manifestationpodcast.
You're part of the manifest sheuniverse.
Don't give your energy to thosewho would suppress you Doesn't
mean ignoring them.
I don't know why we're soextreme like this, probably

(16:09):
because we were taught to be.
I know what they're doing.
I'm going to use my energy todo something better.
I'm going to have joy.
Find joys in the current daysand these days, in the little
things, if that's all you can do.
I find joy when I look out mywindow and I look at the big
tree that's in my front yard.
I find joy when my son's dogjumps up and down.
Even though it's annoying, she's just so happy.

(16:31):
I find joy in the smiles of mygrandkids.
I find joy when I'm creatingand being crafty.
So, as we move forward, don'tstop living.
Joy is your fuel that keepsyour fire burning.
Don't forget to subscribe to theManifest she magazine to help

supported, so that when youdon't know what to do, you can
go in there and find whatresonates with you, because it's
not just one thing, it's notjust.
Here's the challenge for themonth, and do that.
There's a challenge, there isan exercise, there are articles
and more, so that you haveoptions and can get what you
need in whatever moment you'rein.
It's a way to join a communityof women who are ready to create

(17:14):
change, and I will link that inthe show description.
I want you to remember thatwealth is not just about luxury.
Wealth is a powerful tool forchange.
Reclaim your power, align withabundance and unlock your wealth
to build the world you want tosee.
