Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome back to the
Live Life Unapologetically
podcast.
I'm Shannon Kaye and todaywe're going to talk about making
money in your business.
If you've ever been wonderingwhat to sell to get money fast,
you're not alone.
The phrase is everywhere.
It's on TikTok, in ads and it'sacross every six-figure secrets
sales page you've ever seen.
You have probably heard it allStart with a high-ticket
(00:21):
one-to-one offer.
Sell digital products forpassive income.
Create a mini course to scaleyour time.
If you have been spiralingtrying to figure out what to
sell to get that money fast, then this episode is going to
give you the real answer.
And it's not a $27 product or amagic pricing strategy.
It is your energy, becausehere's what no one wants to say
(00:43):
out loud and that's what youroffer is not the problem.
Your energy is and I know thatmight sting a little bit and I
promise I'm not here to shameyou because I don't like to do
that.
I just need you to hang with mea little bit because once you
get this, everything about howyou show up, sell and receive
money in your business is goingto shift.
(01:05):
Today I want to walk you throughwhy your offer isn't the issue
and how to tell if your offer isleaking energy and how
alignment not just some magicmethod is what's actually going
to get you paid.
So let's start off with talkingabout alignment, not algorithms
and not all that other stuff.
Right?
Let's talk about the obviousand that's.
There's no shortage of businessmodels claiming to help you get
(01:25):
rich quickly.
The current advice trend goessomething like this Start high
ticket, one-to-one, move into acourse scale with a membership
or some sort of digital product, and if that resonates, then
beautiful, run with it.
But if you've been listening toall the make money fast content
and you're feeling overwhelmedor stuck maybe you're even
completely turned off by it it'sprobably because the strategy
(01:47):
is not aligned with your energy.
When people talk about alignmentin business, though, it can
sound vague as hell, right, like, what do you mean by alignment?
An aligned offer isn't justsomething you enjoy or something
that sounds fun.
An aligned offer is one thatfeels clear in your body, rooted
(02:10):
in your truth and backed byenergy that says this is a match
.
I'm not begging, I'm notproving.
I'm in full belief that this isneeded, valuable and right.
That kind of energy is whatsells.
Now I want to be very, veryspecific with you that aligned
doesn't mean soft, it doesn'tmean easy, and it doesn't mean
to just do what feels good.
It means felt, it means yourbody says yes, your nervous
(02:33):
system feels supported, yoursoul isn't screaming.
I fucking hate this.
If you're trying to forceyourself into business models
that you resent or cannot stand, then your audience is going to
feel that too.
It doesn't matter how smart thestrategy is if the energy
behind it is disconnected, resentful or anxious.
So yeah, technically you cansell anything to make money fast
(02:57):
, but if it's not anchored inyour energy, it will not last or
worse, it will land, but you'llbe too burnt out to receive it.
I've been there, done that.
It's not fun.
So if you're constantly askingyourself, what do I need to sell
, what do I need to create toget this money fast in my
business, you're asking thewrong question.
Instead, ask yourself whatoffer can I stand behind with
(03:19):
full body belief and energeticalignment?
That's what moves the money.
Let's really think about this,because I'm sure you've seen
creators making 50k from minioffers or people promoting make
10k with your first PDF.
But just because it worked forthem doesn't mean it's right for
you, and that's where so manyof us women get lost in business
(03:42):
.
It's we're comparing ourselvesto someone else's blueprint and
then we're wondering why ourbusinesses feel like a grind.
The problem is not your content.
The problem is not your pricing.
The problem is your energeticmismatch between what you're
selling and what your body, heart and nervous system can
currently hold.
If your body is screaming no,it doesn't matter how
(04:03):
magnificent that funnel you madeis, because you cannot fake
frequency.
This is why some women thriveand high ticket from day one,
because they do, but for othersit feels like they're going to
vomit every time they say theprice.
This is why someone cansuccessfully launch a course,
but then they immediately shutdown.
(04:24):
This is why selling can feeleither like flow or force.
Let's talk about what it meanswhen your offer isn't landing,
not because it's a bad offer, but because the energy around it
is a little bit messy.
Here are some signs that youcan look for.
Maybe you're feeling anxiousevery time you go to promote it.
Perhaps you rewrite the salespage 10 times but still don't
(04:47):
want to post it.
Maybe you're questioning yourniche every other week.
Are you holding back fromselling it all together because
it's not perfect yet?
Are you marketing it out ofobligation and not inspiration.
I did this when I first startedand I would call my best friend
and have everything set up.
Everything was perfect.
It was ready to launch.
It was so good to go and what Iwas offering was good.
(05:10):
It was freaking amazing, likethe shit just hit.
For like the beta testers thatI had, they were like this is so
valuable.
But anytime it was time tolaunch it out and put it out
into the world, I would just belike I don't want to do this, I
wanna quit.
I hate this, I don't like this,I just quit.
I'm just gonna do the nine tofive thing.
I don't wanna do this businessthing.
(05:30):
My best friend would be likewhy do you always do this?
And part of it was just, youknow, being scared of rejection
that this amazing thing that Ihad put my energy behind wasn't
going to make it.
But also it was the idea of theupkeep of work I had to do with
it and the type of offer it waswasn't really what I wanted to
do.
Like I was doing things becauseI thought I had to.
(05:51):
That's really back at the timewhere, like, offering big
bonuses was a thing with yourcourses and stuff, where it was
like I have to offer this extramasterclass, I have to offer the
Facebook group, I have to offerweekly calls, like all of this
stuff and some of those things Iwanted to do.
I'm going to tell you what thebig one was.
For me, it was the Facebookgroup.
I didn't want to include abonus of a Facebook group, but
(06:13):
that was like the thing.
Like way back when, that wasthe thing Like if you didn't
have a Facebook group for peopleto go in to ask questions and
build this community and yada, yada, yada.
I did not want to do it andthat was an energetic block,
that was an energy leak, a bigenergy leak.
So I would always go back tothe drawing board.
I could have made so much moneywith those things.
(06:35):
I just didn't want to.
It just didn't feel like it wasgoing to pay off in the end
because I didn't want to do whatcame after.
And maybe you feel like thatabout some of the things that
you're creating.
Maybe it's really good, but theformat of delivery is what is
the problem, and that does notmean that your business sucks.
It doesn't mean that you suck.
(06:56):
It just means that your energyisn't in alignment with what
you're offering.
So you're either trying toconvince yourself or your
audience of something that youdon't believe in.
So we need to reframe this.
Alignment doesn't mean thatyou're 100% fearless Like.
I want to make that very clear.
Alignment does not mean you're100% fearless and completely
(07:17):
confident, because anytime youdo something new, there's going
to be a little bit of uneasinessor fear along with it, because
it's just unknown.
No big deal, it's just unknownand that's fine.
We're always a little scared ofwhat's unknown.
Our brain resonates with thatwhich is known, so there's going
to be some fear.
You're not going to feel 100%like woohoo, like that's not it.
Alignment doesn't mean thatyou're glowing with confidence
(07:38):
or you're channeling divinedownloads 24-7.
Alignment simply means thatyour offer feels true.
It feels like something you canstand behind, even on the hard
days, like for me, I didn't feellike I could stand behind those
Facebook groups that I feltlike I had to offer as a free
bonus on hard days.
But if I remove them, heck yeah, I could.
(08:00):
Alignment means you're going toshow up for it because it is
honest and it is rooted insomething real for you.
It's not about trying to proveyour worth or doing it the way
everybody else is doing it.
And alignment sells because it'smagnetic.
When your energy is clean, people feel it.
They're not just buying thisresult in the transformation,
(08:22):
they are buying that, butthey're buying this connection
that they have with you as well.
And all of this takes me reallyto pricing, because maybe you
do have an aligned offer but youwere told that you know,
because of pricing you need toprice it this way, like these
things cost this much money.
I've seen a lot of videos likeif your course has this many
(08:42):
modules, it should be this much.
If it has this many, it shouldbe this much.
Like X, y, z.
And it's good to kind of haveguides, but we have to remember
that pricing is also a huge partof energetic alignment.
So a big current trend rightnow is that you should start
with a high ticket offer to hitincome goals fast, and there is
truth in that logic.
(09:02):
You get paid more with fewersales.
But that advice does leavesomething out and you have to
have a nervous system that hasthe capacity to hold that level
of receiving.
If you're charging $3,000, butyou feel like you're going to
crumble every time you say it,that carries energy and your
audience feels it.
(09:22):
They hesitate because you'rehesitating.
So we have to think about notonly how am I delivering the
product and the energy behindthe delivery, but also how can
my nervous system handle theprice behind the delivery.
How do you even decide yourpricing?
And you can use things asguides, like I'm not saying
don't use them as guides, butyou need to price it where it
(09:45):
feels like a stretch and not ashock.
You have to open yourself up toactually receive it.
And this is where I think a lotof advice goes wrong, because
they'll say well, if you offeryou know, one-to-one coaching
for three months for $800,people are going to think that
that's cheap, it's not valuable, they're not going to buy.
When people see big price tags, that's when they buy, because
(10:07):
they're like it must have value.
It has a big price tag and I'mgoing to be honest with you.
Your offer could have a $3,000value.
It really could.
I believe it does.
I believe it does.
I do believe that we dounderprice ourself.
But if you have never been inbusiness or you're just now
selling something for the firsttime, telling people to buy it
for $3,000 may just make yournervous system shut down to
(10:31):
where you can't have thecapacity to receive it.
So maybe you do have to startit at $800 and build your way up
to the $3,000.
Maybe you know you'll get there.
But maybe you need to trainyour nervous system that I can
accept this $800 and I canreceive it.
That's a stretch, but it's notshocking your system.
So yeah, you can sell hightickets, you can make bold
(10:53):
offers, but don't bypass yournervous system in the process.
I remember when I released myfirst book I priced it at $7.99.
It was $7.99 because that'sliterally all I had the capacity
.
And when I say $7.99, I mean$7.99.
That's all the capacity I feltI could handle with my book.
(11:15):
Like, I felt good receiving$7.99 for the book that I wrote.
I knew I didn't want to leavethe price there, but that's the
only capacity that I had at thetime.
The price has since gone up.
I think it's at $17.99 rightnow or something like that.
But in the beginning I wouldn'thave thought anybody would pay
(11:36):
more than $10 for it.
It sold like hotcakes at $7.99.
Then I bumped it to $9.99.
Like, I continually raised theprice because I know the value
of my work and my book.
It's called Action BeforeAffirmations.
I'll link it in the bio ifyou're interested in getting it.
But I knew I needed to build thecapacity to receive because it
was something I never did before.
So I stretched myself and thenI kept hearing people who bought
(12:02):
my book reach out to me and saywhy was this only $7.99?
Girl, I would be charging $29for this.
And sometimes we need a littlebit of feedback to grow.
And I got feedback from sales.
And I got feedback and I said, yeah, but I want it to be
accessible.
Like one of my things was, Iwanted to have accessibility and
(12:23):
I wanted to have accessibility,so I did keep it at a certain
price.
But what I'm telling you is youcan start that way to build
capacity.
It does not mean you'redevaluing yourself, like you can
say I know eventually this isgoing to be $29.
Or, for instance, let me giveyou another example of what I'm
doing right now.
I have the Manifest MomentumRitual and I use that with
(12:47):
clients, everybody I work with.
I use it with myself.
I've been using it for years.
It is the number one ritualthat I will swear by hands down.
If I never sold anything elseagain, I want to sell this
because it works to build yourbusiness, to build your income,
to build your capacity.
It touches on all parts ofmanifesting.
It touches on your thoughts, your emotions and your actions
(13:07):
in like five minutes or less aday.
You don't even have to worryabout, you know, spending hours
a day doing this Like it's anextra thing, but it's not
because it builds.
Right now it's $17.
I know that price is going to goup, but this is the first time
I've sold an actualmanifestation ritual and I was
like I'm just going to stretchmyself a little bit, like I use
(13:28):
it in my one-on-one.
I don't know what the issue is,but I had to respect my own
nervous system.
But I always knew the price wasgoing to go up and I am going
to add to it in the future.
But I know that the price isgoing up.
It's only going to be $17 forso long.
I feel very comfortable withthat already.
So it's probably going tochange as soon as my son
graduates and I have time to goback on the back end and do all
that stuff.
I'm not in a hurry to do that.
(13:49):
If you haven't got it, I'mlinking that in the notes as
well today so you can grab itbefore the price goes up,
because it will be going upright after he graduates in the
next couple of weeks, like Isaid, when I can do the back end
work to get it restructured.
For that I say all that to saystart with where it feels good.
Start with where it feels good, stretch yourself, but don't
(14:10):
shock yourself when it comes topricing.
So not only are we puttingtogether offers that feel good
in the way we want to deliverthem right.
So for me, like I didn't wantto deliver that Facebook group,
it didn't feel aligned, regardless the price, the
quantity, everything else I feltso good about.
But it was those bonuses, likeall these different bonuses,
that were just the thing of thetime that made me say I'm not
(14:31):
launching.
I went to complete shutdownmode.
Once I figured that out, it wasso much easier.
Just don't do that.
I know they say that's whatwe're supposed to do, but don't
do it because it was leakingenergy for me.
So now you know how you want todeliver your stuff and you know
how you want to price it, basedon what your nervous system has
the capacity for.
(14:51):
Those are the two things we'retalking about alignment and
energy.
That make all the difference ifyou want to make some money
fast in your business.
Because if you don't addressthose two things, then the money
may come, but come with burnoutbecause I've had that happen
before, or it's not going tocome at all because you're going
to shut down.
You're not going to do it,you're going to be hesitant.
It's not really going to sellthat great anyway.
(15:13):
So I want to reframe thequestion that brought you here.
Instead of asking what to sellto get money fast, ask what can
I confidently offer that I canenergetically hold, market with
joy and sell withoutself-abandoning.
Because when you sell from thatplace, the content flows, the
audience responds, the energybuilds, the money moves.
(15:37):
You can sell a high-ticketcoaching program, a low-ticket
masterclass, a digital product,a done-for-you service, and they
all have the potential to work.
The question is, which of thesedo you feel fully behind?
What are you willing to committo with truth, belief and
(15:58):
energetic congruence?
That is where the money is.
So if you have been sitting onan offer and you think you're
supposed to sell it, if you'vebeen twisting your business to
fit someone else's playbook, ifyou've been obsessively asking
what to sell to get that moneyfast.
Today is your reminder thatit's not about what sells fast,
(16:21):
it is about what feels real, because alignment speeds things
up more than any tactic everwill.
Your energy is vital to anystrategy and your aligned offer.
That is where it all begins.
I'll chat with you next week.
