(00:15):
Welcome to the Lipsheet Podcast.
My name is Jeff Dowdell, andI've been a licensed firearm
dealer for the last 16 years.
In this podcast, we talk aboutall things related to the Second
Amendment, as well as anythingelse going on in the world, or
anything in my personal life, oranything I might find
interesting.
So, welcome, welcome, welcome.
Today is Sunday, October 22nd.
Game 6 of the American LeagueChampionship Series and it has

(00:36):
been just an up and down storyfor my Rangers.
It's just the last three gameshave just been painful and I'm
just hoping for a win today tokeep this thing going on.
But if not, it has been a greatseason and just enjoyed it.
And another thing I want to talkabout before I get on is on to
what I want to show is I justwant Do a shameless plug for my

(00:59):
son's podcast and radio show andYouTube channel that he's doing
with two of his college buddies.
They're all sports broadcastingmajors at Texas Christian
University and it's the Riff RamReview.
You can get it on ApplePodcasts, Spotify, wherever you
get your podcasts, but it's RiffRam Review.
That comes from the TCU's chantof Riff Ram Bah Zoo Lickety

(01:21):
Lickety Zoo Zoo Hoo Wah Wah ZooGive Em Heck TCU.
So it's a Riff Ram review.
They talk about TCU sports, butthen they talk about the NFL,
baseball, anything else in thesports world.
And it's three college sportsmajors just talking about what
they love, so check it out.
But today, you know, we're stilltalking about what's going on in

(01:44):
the world in Israel.
This world is crazy just the,the way the media treats this,
they're looking for any reasonto blame Israel, but we gotta
keep praying for Israel.
So in the last podcast, youknow, I talked about how I was a
little bit surprised about thelack of gun ownership in Israel.
And so that got me to thinkingabout, you know, what is the gun

(02:07):
ownership like in othercountries?
So I just, I did some research.
No, you know, shocking.
You know, the United Statesleads the world in a, you know,
per 120 guns per 100 people.
So there's more guns than thereare people which is not
surprising than there's theFalkland Islands at, than at

(02:29):
roughly half the gun ownershipof Americans.
62 0.1 per 100.
Yemen, Yemen, 52, new Caldonia,42 Serbia, 39.
I was actually surprised Canadacomes in at 8 at 34.
7 and it's interesting thatMexico, Guatemala, and the

(02:50):
United States are the onlycountries that actually have it
in their constitution that it'sa right to own firearms.
So it's pretty interesting.
So when you look across thecountries, some of the most
permissive countries with guncontrol are Albania, Austria,
Chad, Honduras.
Nigeria, Pakistan, Philippines,Republic of the Condo, U.

(03:15):
S., Yemen, Zambia.
Then others that have somerestrictive gun controls are
Argentina, Canada, which as Isaid you know came in 8th
overall in gun ownership.
The Czech Republic, Germany,Spain, Thailand, and Turkey.
And then those with strict guncontrol is places like China,
Cyprus, Greece, Vietnam.

(03:36):
Hungary, India, Indonesia,Ireland, that's odd, I don't
know, I guess it kind of goeswith Great Britain, Netherlands,
North Korea.
So, a wide expanse of, you know, gun ownerships.
And then I was kind of lookingat some of the Processes and
who's eligible to get guns and Ithought it was pretty
interesting on some of these.

(03:57):
So, if you look at Indonesia, okay, only people, only high
level officials, military andpolice are allowed to own
firearms.
In Laos, licensed to only highstatus individuals only.
Don't know what that means.
Some others are Taiwanfishermen, and Indigenous people

(04:18):
only.
And on the, I just noticed thatTaiwan is basically zero guns
per 100 people.
Vietnam is authorized statepersonnel only.
And then so you can see thatthere, in some of these
countries, it's very restrictiveon who can get it.
And if anything, by what'shappened in Ukraine, And what's

(04:44):
happened in Israel, meaning thatthey had strict gun control,
they get invaded and then theystart loosening up those gun
controls so the citizenry canown guns.
If that doesn't tell youanything, accept that gun
control is meant for tyrannyonly.
Do not listen to anybody that'stalking about gun violence and

(05:05):
reducing gun violence, reducingcrime, reducing firearm deaths.
That's the ultimate goal.
When people want gun control,it's to maintain control.
Tyranny.
The government wants to keep thepeople under control.
And whenever they start to losethat control, and they need the
help of the people, they startto release some of that to get

(05:29):
the people on their side, and assoon as they're back under
control again, they will takethe control away from the
people.
That is what it's all about, anddon't be mistaken by it.
It is all around control andkeeping the government in power
over you and you under theirthumb because you don't have a

(05:51):
means to protect and defendyourself.
Not necessarily from the badguys, but the bad guys that are
the government.
And don't believe anything elsethat you say.
Now some other ramifications ofthings going on in Israel
besides Israeli people startingto be, get their rights to own
guns a little bit more they'venoticed WFAA stationed here in

(06:14):
North Texas, they're reportingand just you know unofficial,
but just interviewing andtalking to gun shops, 300
percent increase in gun salesover the last two weeks.
People are going out and buyingguns.
And again, you know, Texas, youknow, we think of ourselves as
our own country.
We are the Republic of Texas andwe are going to defend

(06:35):
ourselves.
And yes, we are being invaded bythe, from the South for our
borders and we're under attack.
And it's, you know, if, if we,if we get pushed, This is the
quote unquote country thatyou're going to want to be in if
Texas Another interesting thingis that Israeli Jews are, are

(07:00):
not, I mean American Jews arestarting to buy more guns.
If you've heard, if you've heardof Yohanda Rimmer, he is the gun
advocate.
YouTube channel he's the Pew PewPew Pew Pew Jew and he says you
know in his circles the Jewishpeople that is in his circles

(07:22):
they're all coming to him askingabout gun ownership and so and
People are starting to up their, their gun ownership in the, in
the Jewish community here inAmerica.
So they're, they're seeingwhat's happening to their, their
countrymen in Israel, and theydon't want that to happen here.
And it is definitely apossibility.
And that's the other thing.

(07:43):
The Jewish people have to startnot voting for the Democrats.
They have They are the most antiSemitic group.
You look at the ones, the peoplethat came out in Harvard, and
the student body, and what theyhad to say, and some of these
horrific things that people aresaying about, about the Jews

(08:03):
being the aggressors in this, and telling them that they can't
hurt civilians, they can't havean appropriate response.
It's ridiculous.
So, But, when you look at thesecountries, and you look at the
United States, And whereeverybody keeps wanting to push
us for more gun control, it'sbecause they want to control the

(08:23):
citizenry.
And just remember that.
And you can see that as evidencein Ukraine and Israel.
Once they get invaded, they needthe help of the citizenry.
So, keep an eye on it.
It's what's happening.
But don't let people mislead youever.
Do not change your folks.
Keep fighting for the SecondAmendment, because it's what
keeps us safe from...

(08:45):
Our biggest threat, maybe, ourown government.
So, take care, have a greatweekend, go Rangers, and I will
talk to you later.
