(00:00):
Well, welcome to the Live toShoot podcast.

(00:01):
My name is Jeff Dole, and I'vebeen a licensed firearms dealer
for the last 18 years.
In this podcast, we talk aboutall things related to Second
Amendment as well as wellanything else go in the world
sports story or anything elsethat I might find interesting.
So welcome, welcome, welcome.
So if you listen to last week'spodcast, you know, I, I talked
about the, the tragic shootingat the Annunciation Catholic
School in Minneapolis.

(00:22):
And you know, I, I.
Typically don't like talkingabout these, but gonna be two
weeks in a row because you know, the left just can't leave it
alone.
And as always, they're they'retrying to exploit this to push
their anti, gun agenda.
Same thing.
More gun control, morerestrictions, more attacks on
our second amendment.
And I'm gonna break it all downand you know, just give you all

(00:45):
the information that's outthere.
So let's, if you didn't listen, here's the facts.
On August 27th a shooter won'tgive.
His name opened Fire through theglass, the windows of the
Annunciation Catholic School, and they killed two kids and
they're injuring 17 others,mostly children.
The shooter has a history ofmental illness and an obsession

(01:08):
with mass shooters.
He used legally purchasedfirearms, a rifle, a shotgun,
and a pistol.
And then he took, took his ownlife.
And we're still praying forthose families.
I believe there is one girl thatis still one child at least
that's still in some criticalcondition.
At last I heard.
So we keep praying for thosepeople, but, let's talk about

(01:29):
Tim Walls.
And the first thing you know, wehave to keep saying is that we
have to be so thankful forDonald, Donald Trump and JD
Vance and the fact that TimWalls is not our current vice
president, but he's been inthat, you know, he is the
governor of Minnesota and he'sbeen out front and center and
he's not shy about using thistragedy to score political

(01:49):
points.
Just days after this is hisquote.
He said, the sad reality of whatof of it is that what happened
last week is preventable'causeso many nations around the world
do it.
And he's talking about calling aspecial legislation, put a
session to push for tougher gunlaws, including get this, an
assault, weapons ban, safestorage laws, and tweaks to

(02:10):
Minnesota's red flag laws.
He even said, if Minnesota letsthis moment slide and we
determined that it's okay forlittle ones not to be safe in a
school environment or a churchenvironment, then shame on us.
Shame on us, really.
Governor, how about the shame onthe system that failed to
address the shooter's mentalillness issues in the warning
side that we're screaming?

(02:31):
And if you don't remember, also,this was a, a.
Trans individual.
It was a male preferred to be afemale.
And you know, that is a mentalillness.
But you know, walls wasn'talone.
Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Fry.
He's quick to jump on thebandwagon, calling for a ban on
assault weapons.
High capacity magazines.

(02:52):
And he says, every one of usneeds to be wrapping arms around
these families, giving themevery ounce that we can muster.
Sounds heartfelt, right?
But in the same breath, he'spushing for laws that would
strip law abiding citizens oftheir constitutional
protections.
And don't forget that the twincity mayors who held press
conference demanding changes toa 1985 state law so they can
enact their own local gunrestrictions.

(03:13):
It's the same playbook everytime.
They just, they're out thereshouting for more.
Gun control.
But you know, here's, here's thething.
The left wants you to believethat piling on more laws is the
answer, but Minnesota alreadyhas some of the strictest gun
laws in the country.
They passed enhanced backgroundchecks and red flag laws in
2023.
And guess what?

(03:33):
Didn't stop this shooter?
'cause the laws don't stoppeople who are already breaking
them.
This shooter legally purchasedtheir farms despite a document
history of disturbing behavior, including a Journal of Fantasies
about mass shootings in theYouTube manifesto that was taken
down by the FBI.
If the citizen had focused onaddressing their mental health

(03:54):
issues and behavior issues, maybe we wouldn't even be there.
And I know currently presidentTrump and JD Vance have
expressed interest in thepursuing preventing trans
individuals from being able topurchase farms.
I believe they need to.
What they need to do is, is makesure that we, we it's put in a
statute that trans is a mentalillness, and then go from there

(04:16):
to have it already fall withinour current preventions of
mental illness.
But you know, the less their, their strategy is just let's
just let's take this opportunityto disarm the, the good guys.
But you know.
Let's talk about these proposedlaws, assault weapon, man, man
limits or safe storage.
They didn't stop the shooter.
The answer is no.
Westman fired over a hundredrounds, used multiple firearms

(04:37):
and planned the attackmeticulously.
This one is spur in a moment.
It wasn't calculated.
It was a calculated act of evil.
And here's something else.
You know, the Municipal GunOwner's Caucus, you know.
God bless him.
Came out swinging against Fry's,assault weapons ban, calling it
unconstitutional, ineffective, and he said, such proposals are
unconstitutional and do nothingto reduce crimes now.

(04:59):
Amen.
Amen to that.
The Second Amendment isn't asuggestion, it's a right as we
always say, and the study afterstudy says it's so-called
assault.
Weapons ban are used in a tinyfraction that assault weapons
are used in only a tiny fractionof crimes.
Most gun Gunn includes handguns, not rifles, and the left seem
to.
Love scare people with buzzwordslike assault weapons.

(05:19):
They're not, their, their factsare after your f freedom.
So but you know, again, it amental illness.
This person was trans, they havea mental illness, should not
have been you know, and hadexhibited many, episodes of
mental illness and we talkedabout last week, you know, the
la most recent, since we startedgl, GL glorifying the trans

(05:41):
agenda the number of massshootings by trans individuals
has gone up and it just seems tobe going up because they have
been glorified and they believethat it's their place.
You know, but what, what do weneed to do?
Well, you know, we need to dowhat works.
School resource officers trainedand armed can stop threats

(06:05):
before they escalate.
Hardening the schools you know, better locks, Bulletproof glass,
panic buttons.
Yes.
And armed teachers, they, they, they, I believe, need to be
protecting our kids.
We protect our, our money muchmore than we protect our kids.
And you know, the left hatesthat idea.
They hate an armed teacher orparent.

(06:25):
Even though that they could haveended this threat faster than
any police response presidentTrump has even flowed the idea
of arming teachers.
And so let's take a serious lookat that.
You know, let's put some federalfunding into training our
teachers, hardening our schoolsand, and protecting our kids.
You know, we knew this wascoming.
We knew this would be the left'sresponse.

(06:46):
It always is.
And thankful that Tim Walls isnot our, our current vice
president.
But you know, we need to holdthe left accountable for, for
what they have done in this, andthat is.
Glorifying and lifting up thistrans agenda, as well as trying
to take away our gun rights andlimit the amount of armed

(07:07):
citizens that can be out thereprotecting us.
I'm curious to know what y'allsay.
You know.
Text me, comment me, email me.
All that stuff's in the shownotes.
Lemme know what you think.
Am I crazy?
Is it crazy to armed teachers?
Do you think that's nuts?
I think it's, I think it wouldbe great.
You know, schools are you know,no no gun are gun free zones.

(07:28):
Why, why is that?
Why is that?
Right?
Let's protect our kids as muchas we protect everything else.
And governor Walls, why don'tyou give up your security
protection and donate that tokids as well.
So appreciate y'all listening.
Y'all have a great weekend and Iwill talk to you later.
