Diane Callis got her start in comedy on a Carnival cruise to Mexico with her puppet Smelly Cat, where she entertained 200 women in the Blue Thong Society. The bug bit her and the rest is history.
After taking Improv and Standup classes to get up the nerve, she hit the stage in Phoenix, Arizona and hasn’t stopped entertaining audiences since.
She’s performed at The World Famous” Tempe Improv, The House of Comedy and Stir Crazy Comedy Club in the Phoenix area. She performed at the Palm Springs International Comedy Festival and recently appeared at Wise Guys Comedy Club in Salt Lake City. She has several puppets who, sometimes make it on stage with her.
Diane has a vast amount of self-written material and does both clean comedy and material that’s a little more edgy.Her style is fast paced, punchy one liners, reminiscent of the 1960’s comedian Phyllis Diller.
