Tune into this week's episode of "Living an Intentioanl Life Podcast" as I deep dive into "Intentionality in cultivating being inspired and inspiring!"

This conversation is broken down into two parts - being inspired and inspiring :

Let’s start with being inspired

  1. Create clarity on what inspiration actually means to you
    1. For me, inspiration is when I am positively influenced by something around me - nature, others, the book I’m reading, a nudge within and then there is an action to bring that very inspiration into from.
  2. Do you know what inspires you?
    1. Create a list of all the things that inspire you.
    2. This  can also be found in creating a heart-centered foundation
      1. If you haven't already, you can tune into the free workshop (episode 157) and download the workbook in the show notes or by heading to my website
  3. How does being inspired work?
    1. Clarity around what actually inspires you
    2. Being mindful about creating space and inviting that very thing into your life (it’s kinda like planting a seed, you start to build a relationship with the process).
    3. Actually add that very thing into your schedule - like really, put it as a date or event in your calendar just as you would your work time, doctors appointments and the kids activities.
    4. Keep re-evaluating, how does creating more time and space for this thing make you feel? Adding in more time to heighten the inspiration!
  4. Tips for cultivating inspiration
    1. Treat it all like an experiment
      1. Real time action provides real time feedback
      2. Stay connected + committed as results won’t happen over night or with one interaction with the very thing that keeps you inspired
    2. Allow inspiration to bread more inspiration
      1. Follow the breadcrumbs, do go down the rabbit hole
    3. Lean on those who have come before you
      1. Books, podcast, chefs, experts, anything that is in support of your inspiration
    4. Be present and move slowly while with your inspiration
      1. Don't  rush it
      2. Create space for nothing at all
    5. Document the process
      1. Written, spoken, photos
      2. That alone with teach you and keep the inspiration heightened
    6. Share it with people you love

Inspire :

  • I truly believe we oscillate between learning and teaching, being inspired and inspiring
  • How can you be someone who inspires others?
    • Be honest with yourself
    • Share your heart and truth with those who are safe to you and you love
    • Cultivate the confidence to share
      • You matter
      • Your voice matters
