Jana Shelfer (00:00):
Are you ready to
create a life you crave?
Let's spin that doom loop ofnegativity into an upward
success cycle and startLiving Lucky®.
Good morning.
I'm Jana.
I'm Jason.
And we are Living Lucky®.
Jason Shelfer (00:18):
You are too.
Jana Shelfer (00:19):
This is a tie back
to our last podcast where we
talked about doing a 30-daychallenge of writing an
affirmation for 30 days withyour left hand.
Now, this morning, we are onour way to Australia.
Jason Shelfer (00:35):
Woohoo!
Jana Shelfer (00:36):
And as we have
been packing, I have been
thinking, and I actually wrotedown, thank you so much for a
safe trip.
Thank you for letting me be theworld champion.
Thank you for I mean, are youwith me on this?
Jason Shelfer (00:54):
All the things
that are coming up on this trip.
Jana Shelfer (00:57):
Now, those things
haven't happened yet.
However, I am getting into astate of gratitude for the
future.
The future.
And no matter what happens,it's not like I'm putting
expectations on the universe,I'm just living in this state,
(01:17):
state of mind, which isgratitude.
And many times when we get intothe feeling we want to have,
then we start attracting theexperiences that create that
feeling.
Jason Shelfer (01:31):
That's so
powerful because as you start
being grateful for that thepossibility and envisioning what
that will feel like.
So thank you for a safe trip.
Your body and your mind startimagining this safe trip.
Like your subconscious startspicturing, okay, what does a
(01:51):
safe trip feel like?
What is it, what does that looklike for me?
Jana Shelfer (01:54):
For me, it means
not pooping my pants on the
plane.
Jason Shelfer (01:57):
Right?
It means people smiling at you.
It means people waving.
It means all this, it's it's asmooth, peaceful transition
through the airport.
It's all these, it's all thisbeautifulness that's going on in
this travel.
Jana Shelfer (02:12):
And enjoying it.
I picture us enjoying it.
Thank you for allowing us toenjoy seeing new parts of the
world.
Jason Shelfer (02:20):
Thank you for
allowing this 16-hour transition
through time and space and nojet lag.
Like all these trips.
Jana Shelfer (02:27):
Jason gets hung up
on that every single time.
Every single time we talk aboutour trip to Australia, he's
like, we're gonna be living inthe future.
That's right.
Jason Shelfer (02:34):
I'm excited about
that.
You get to pick some lotterynumbers.
Jana Shelfer (02:38):
So today's podcast
is about getting into the
future feeling of what you wantto create.
And when you do that, theuniverse has this weird way of
energetically, I mean, it'sreally physics, right?
It's quantum physics.
Jason Shelfer (02:58):
It's it's
energetically aligning with the
things that you want instead ofmanifesting what you don't want.
Because so how often are wereverse manifesting things?
We start catastrophizing, westart going, we start saying the
worst.
Yes, we start saying, what ifthe worst case scenario happens?
And then our reticularactivating system opens up and
set starts looking for thatworst case scenario.
Jana Shelfer (03:20):
I did that a
little bit this week, but we
won't go there.
We're gonna we're gonna stickto one topic.
Right.
We Jason and I have a reallybad habit of offering the side.
Jason Shelfer (03:28):
I will jump the
squirrel over the fence.
That's what I do.
I take the lawnmower into theneighbor's yard.
Jana Shelfer (03:33):
Kiddy!
Jason Shelfer (03:35):
So today we are
talking about being grateful for
things that haven't happenedyet that are coming in the
future.
Jana Shelfer (03:42):
And the the whole
key word there is yet.
Yet.
And there is a fine line of notputting expectations on what we
expect to happen.
Jason Shelfer (03:57):
Yes, because a
lot of times what'll happen,
what it's that feeling.
So it's recognizing what doesit feel like?
Because sometimes what we whatwe ex what we put that label,
quote unquote, expectexpectation of.
Yes, the universe has somethingbigger and better planned for
us.
Jana Shelfer (04:13):
That is true.
Jason Shelfer (04:14):
And if we just
know the feeling, we can lean
towards that and we can go downthe road towards that feeling,
and then we will get somethingbigger and better for us.
Jana Shelfer (04:24):
I got a feeling.
Jason Shelfer (04:25):
Woo! Oh, it's not
sounding terrible.
Good night.
Yeah, but so it's just knowingthat feeling so we can be we can
be on the lookout for it.
Jana Shelfer (04:37):
Okay.
Jason Shelfer (04:37):
And and and just
kind of walk that path.
Jana Shelfer (04:40):
Live into it.
This is manifesting 101.
This is exactly what AbrahamHicks talks about.
Jason Shelfer (04:47):
It took me a long
time to get there.
Jana Shelfer (04:49):
Even Wayne Dyer,
this is what they talk about
when you get into the feelingyou want to experience.
Jason Shelfer (04:55):
I thought, I
thought I understood it.
Like you, and you were on thisfrom probably day one, where you
said it's about that feeling.
It's a it's about the feeling.
And I was convinced it wasabout the thought.
Jana Shelfer (05:08):
Well, it's both.
It is both.
Jason Shelfer (05:10):
There's and we
talked about this a couple of
podcasts ago where it's the It'salso about the actions.
I think it was two podcastsago, maybe three, but it's the
thoughts, feelings, and actions.
But you said it's it reallygoes back to that feeling.
And thoughts kind of create thefeelings, but also feelings
create those thoughts.
And when we can create thatfeeling, because feelings
(05:32):
happen, and we've got to learnto recognize those feelings.
And what I did was I I tried tomanufacture feelings, and I
tried to only manufacture theones I wanted.
And I said, I'm gonna ignoreanything I don't like.
Jana Shelfer (05:48):
Okay.
And so I love- Well, here's thething: those feelings that you
don't like, there's energythere.
Jason Shelfer (05:54):
There's a lot of
energy there.
Jana Shelfer (05:55):
There's energy
there showing me that we we can
still feel the feels, right?
And yet we can transmute thatenergy into productive,
efficient ways.
Jason Shelfer (06:06):
And those
feelings are valid, and they're
worth something.
Like they have value, so thatand they're showing me
something.
And and I love what you say.
It's like, it's like, what isthis teaching me?
What is what is this for?
Like, what's it, what's ittelling me?
And that's that's where I waslike, I don't want to know what
it's telling me.
I just want to know what thegood like I want to I want to
change it to something goodright now and and move towards
(06:30):
that.
So I I love the fact that now Ican start just kind of
recognizing that feeling.
And I love this tool where Ican say, okay, what am I
thankful for?
Because this lets me set mytone.
What am I thankful for in thefuture?
Jana Shelfer (06:42):
You're acting as
if you're acting as if your
dreams have already come true.
And when you do that, you startalmost living in your
imagination.
I know for me, I have thisvision almost every time that I
meditate.
I'm like having trouble gettingmy words out.
(07:03):
Every time I meditate, I havethis vision of me winning, I
want to call it an AcademyAward.
That's what it looks like tome.
Now, I'm not sure that you knowthat exact vision is going to
(07:40):
happen, but it's bizarre how theuniverse is aligning itself to
where a lot of things that wedo, I end up saying, Oh my god,
I'm so proud of us.
Jason Shelfer (07:51):
I am so proud of
me.
And how how many times do youkeep landing on a podium?
Jana Shelfer (07:56):
I know, right?
Jason Shelfer (07:57):
As of late,
especially and getting handled
handed something that's gold,right?
Jana Shelfer (08:02):
That is true.
Jason Shelfer (08:03):
It's crazy.
Jana Shelfer (08:04):
That is true.
Jason Shelfer (08:05):
And so And having
having flashes and pictures
being taken and people clapping, like it's it's it's like this,
it manifests itself just indifferent ways.
Jana Shelfer (08:14):
It is it has been
wild and bizarre.
So today, our tool is to begrateful for things that haven't
happened yet.
Jason Shelfer (08:25):
This is literally
just creating a reality.
This is this is Living Lucky®in a nutshell.
This is waking up every morningand saying, Thank, thank you
for this wonderful day.
I'm gonna choose to live luckyin it.
Jana Shelfer (08:36):
And you can do it
in any time span.
You can be thankful for thingsthat are happening today that
haven't happened yet.
Maybe you just want yourcoworker to offer you a cup of
coffee.
Thank you.
Thank you for people lookingout for me and getting me coffee
today.
Like that can be it can be assmall as that.
(08:57):
Or you can do a different timeframe, maybe a week, maybe a
month for us.
Thank you for the safe travels.
Thank you for us getting allthe logistics of our traveling
under control.
Can you tell we're a littlestressed right now?
Jason Shelfer (09:13):
Thank you for for
helping us pack everything that
we need to pack.
Jana Shelfer (09:17):
Thank you for
helping me remember my skis.
Right and my life jacket and myropes.
Jason Shelfer (09:22):
Yeah, the ropes.
Gosh, can you imagineforgetting the ropes again?
Jana Shelfer (09:27):
So you can do it
in any time frame, or you could
even go a year out.
Thank you so much for thewonderful holiday that I got to
spend with my family.
So be thankful for things thathaven't happened yet, and then
almost challenge the universe tosurprise you.
That sounds delicious.
(09:48):
That sounds fun.
Thanks for joining us.
Jason Shelfer (09:51):
Keep
