What if serenity became your strongest witness? We open the Bible and our senses to explore how peace moves from a nice idea to a lived reality—one breath, one verse, one small practice at a time. Drawing from 2 Corinthians 2:14–15, Philippians 4:6–7, and Isaiah 26:3, we unpack how a steadfast heart grows when prayer, gratitude, and trust meet simple sensory anchors that redirect attention to Jesus in the middle of real life.

You’ll hear a moving story of a “peace reset” where tension gave way to tears, ease, and focus—not because life got simpler, but because Christ’s presence stood guard over mind and heart. We talk through how frankincense can recall Christ’s kingship, lavender can cue rest like Psalm 23’s green pastures, and bright citrus can spark joy and gratitude. These tools aren’t magic; they’re gentle cues that help you return to God quickly when the day crowds in. Along the way, we offer short affirmations rooted in scripture, plus practical rhythms you can try in minutes: a five‑minute morning cue with your Bible, a midday breath-and-prayer pause, and a calm evening wind‑down that pairs God’s promises with slow exhalations.

If you’re longing to carry Christ’s peace into your home, work, and relationships, this conversation offers a warm path forward—clear, doable, and grounded in the Word. For deeper support, we invite you to the Aroma of Christ coaching hour, a one‑on‑one session that blends scripture, prayer, and sensory anchors to design a routine that fits your season and helps you breathe again spiritually. Subscribe, share with a friend who needs calm today, and leave a quick review to help others find this message of peace.

It's time to stop trying tofigure it all out on your own
and start connecting with God ina way that finally feels like
rest.
All right, let's get started.
Grab your Bible, dust off yourjournal, and cozy up to your
favorite beverage and let's divein.
Today's episode is going to be aslow intentional exhale.

(02:32):
You don't have to do anythingbut listen and let the words
wash over you like a prayer asyou realize that God's peace is
as close as the air you breathe.
You guessed it.
We're going to talk aboutessential oils as sensory
anchors for spiritual practicesbecause God gave us our senses
as a doorway to his presence.
So take a deep breath.

(02:53):
This is your time to step intoserenity.
What does it mean for us tocarry the aroma of Christ into
our busy life as wives, mothers, grandmothers, employees,
business owners, caretakers, pastors, and everything in
between?
Second Corinthians chapter 2,verse 14 through 15 says, But

(03:14):
thanks be to God who alwaysleads us as captives in Christ's
triumphal procession and usesus to spread the aroma of the
knowledge of Him everywhere.
For we are to God the pleasingaroma of Christ among those who
are being saved and those whoare perishing.
Paul is painting a vividpicture here.

(03:36):
He says, Wherever we go,whatever we do, we carry a
fragrance, and not just anyfragrance, we carry the aroma of
Christ Himself.
Think about that for a moment.
Paul's words in 2 Corinthiansabout being the aroma of Christ
connect us back to templeworship.
In the Old Testament, incenserose as a sweet smelling

(03:59):
sacrifice, a sign of prayerslifted to God.
The fragrance filled the holyplace as a visible, tangible,
sensory sign of devotion.
Our lives are now that incense.
Every prayer you whisper whilefolding laundry, every scripture
you meditate on in a carpoolline, every act of kindness you

(04:22):
offer in the workplace, theserise like a fragrance to God.
Your serenity itself becomes anoffering, an act of worship
that says, I trust you, Lord, more than I trust my to-do list.
And here's where your senses canhelp.
God created your body and soulas an integrated whole.

(04:43):
The smell of frankincense mightremind you of Christ's birth
and the gift brought by themagi.
The sweetness of lavender canpoint you to Jesus, the shepherd
who makes you lie down in greenpastures.
Citrus oils can awaken you tothe joy of the Lord, lifting
your spirit when the weight oflife presses in.

(05:05):
Now these oils are not magical.
They are not the source ofserenity, but they are beautiful
tools, anchors that tie yourphysical senses to your
spiritual practices, drawingyour mind back to Christ.
I remember walking with a womanthrough an experience that I now
call the Peace RESET.
She came to me overwhelmed, herthoughts spinning in a hundred

(05:28):
different directions.
She told me she couldn't focuslong enough to pray, much less
hear God's voice.
In just a short time together,as we gently combine prayer,
scripture, and the aroma, hershoulders begin to relax, tears
stream down her face, and shewhispered, For the first time in
months, I feel calm.
I feel like I can breatheagain.

(05:50):
That's what happens when theclutter clears, and Christ's
peace rises to the surface.
Later in today's episode, I'lltell you how you can experience
this same peace reset yourself.
It's a bonus technique I offeralongside the Aroma of Christ
coaching hour, and it's designedto help you release the mental

(06:10):
clutter, emotional weight, andspiritual distractions that keep
you from resting fully inChrist.
Think of it as a reset buttonfor your soul, helping you to
step into serenity so that youcan carry it with you into your
busy world.
Philippians chapter 4, verses 6through 7 is one of the most
quoted passages on peace, andfor good reason.

(06:34):
It says, Do not be anxiousabout anything, but in every
situation, by prayer andpetition with thanksgiving,
present your request to God, andthe peace of God, which
transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your
minds in Christ Jesus.
This passage doesn't promisethat our circumstances will go

(06:54):
away.
It promises that peace willstand guard.
Peace becomes a shield at thedoor of your mind and your
heart.
It doesn't always make sense tothe world, but it is real and
unshakable.
Isaiah chapter 26, verse 3adds, You will keep in perfect
peace those whose minds aresteadfast because they trust in

(07:16):
you.
Perfect peace doesn't mean aperfect life, it means a steady
heart.
When your trust is rooted inthe unshakable character of God,
peace becomes the soil beneathyour feet.
And the psalmist writes inchapter 34, verse 8, saying,
Taste and see that the Lord isgood.
Blessed is the one who takesrefuge in him.

(07:38):
God invites you to experiencehim with all your senses.
Serenity isn't just somethingyou think about, it's something
you can feel, see, taste, andbreathe.
It's embodied worship.
When you live as the aroma ofChrist, you carry serenity into
every room you enter.
Your presence changes theatmosphere.

(08:00):
People may not be able to nameit, but they notice it.
Your calm in the storm makesthem wonder about the source of
your peace.
Being the aroma of Christ isnot about perfection, it's about
surrender.
It's about daily choosing tolet Jesus fill you so fully that
his fragrance naturally flowsout of you.

(08:20):
And in that flow, you findserenity, not because you did
less, but because you trustedmore.
I want to pause and offer yousome affirmations you can use in
your own aroma of Christexperience.
If you'd like, grab yourfavorite calming oil and breathe
it in as you speak these aloud.

(08:42):
I inhale the peace of Christand I exhale my worries.
The Lord is my shepherd.
He restores my soul.
Jesus, your presence is myplace of rest.
I carry the fragrance of Christinto my home, my work, and my

(09:10):
relationships.
The joy of the Lord is mystrength, and his peace guards
my heart.
These words are not empty, theyare rooted in Scripture.
As you speak these affirmationsaloud, let them shape your
heart, your breath, and yourposture toward God.

(09:33):
If you want to go deeper, MyPeace RESET offers a guided
experience to clear mentalclutter and step fully into the
serenity of Christ.
Think of it as a spiritualrefresh button for your soul.
Okay, let's get practical.
Imagine your morning routine.

(09:54):
Instead of rushing straight toyour phone or your list of
tasks, what if you diffused afragrance in your home and sat
with your Bible for just fiveminutes?
What if that fragrance becameyour cue that it's time to
breathe, to listen, to inviteChrist to set the pace for your
day?

(10:14):
Or think about the middle ofthe day when tension runs high.
Instead of pressing through, what if you paused, placed a
drop of essential oil in yourhands, breathed deeply, and
prayed, Lord, I trust you.
You are my serenity.
In that small moment, you areretraining your body and soul to
find peace in Christ.

(10:35):
At night, when your thoughtsrace, what if you had a rhythm
of breathing in God's promises, letting Scripture and the scent
intertwine as reminders that Healone makes you dwell in safety?
Serenity is not a luxury.
It is not something you'llexperience once life slows down.
Serenity is your inheritance inChrist.

(10:57):
Jesus said in John chapter 14,verse 27, peace I leave with
you, my peace I give you.
I do not give to you as theworld gives.
Do not let your hearts betroubled and do not be afraid.
His peace is already yours.
Before we close, I want toextend a personal invitation.

(11:20):
If what we've talked abouttoday resonates with you, if you
are longing for more serenityin your life, or if you'd love
guidance in connecting yourspiritual practices with calming
sensory anchors, I invite youto book an Aroma of Christ
Coaching Hour with me.

Holy Spirit to reset your heartwith peace, and I'll help you

scripture, prayer, and sensorypractices to anchor you in
serenity.

weight, and spiritualdistractions that are keeping
you from resting fully inChrist.

so you can step into the calm, focused presence of God.
And this is something I stilldo myself from time to time when
the stresses of the day try tosteal my joy.
