The other important factor, specifically mentioned in many of the healing miracles of Jesus, is the faith of the person needing healing. What does faith for healing look like, and how big a part does it play in the whole process?

But whether we pray for healing, or HOW we pray for healing, often boils down to one question: Is it GOD's will that we be healed? Is the answer yes? No? Sometimes? Many, many people would quickly answer "sometimes", but is that answer based on something other than scripture? We are blessed to live in a time and place where we have access to so much good teaching on the Word of God. But we must recognize that there is more to spiritual maturity than simply loading up on good teaching. We must not only hear the word. We must receive it and do it. The difference between hearing and receiving is subtle, but important; only then can we be doers.

Can you remember the day you gave your life to Christ? Most of you can. Can you also remember the things that brought you to that point? Most of us, I think, did not respond to the Gospel the first time we heard it. The moment we surrendered our lives to Him was just the final link in a chain of events that brought us to that point. We plant seeds, water the plants, tend to the soil, and finally reap a harvest. The harvest of ...

We refer to those who have yet to come to Christ -the unconverted- as 'lost'. But just as there are many different callings, giftings, and ministries among believers, lost people are lost in many different ways. We need to be as prepared as possible to address the issues that stand in the way of the lost soul responding to Christ's call.

    Ruthie's Table 4

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
